בתקופה האחרונה היה נדמה שדונלד טראמפ יצליח לסיים את המלחמה באוקראינה. מגעים בין הצדדים החלו, עסקת חילופיי שבויים גדולה התבצעה, אבל לוולדימיר פוטין היו תוכניות אחרות.
הדיקטטור הרצחני פתח השבוע במתקפה גדולה על ערים רבות באוקראינה, ואפילו לטראמפ, שהתבטא בחריפות נגד פוטין, כבר אין הרבה תקווה.
שלוש שנים חלפו מאז הפלישה הרוסית, והעולם השתנה. אירופה מתחמשת ומצטיידת לקראת מלחמה, היחסים שלה עם ארצות הברית מתערערים ויש מי שחושב שהשתיקה האמריקאית תוביל את פוטין, בדיוק כמו את היטלר, להתקדם עמוק אל תוך אירופה.
