השבוע הגיעו עשרות מנהיגים עולמיים לסין כדי לחזות בתצוגת עוצמה - המצעד הצבאי הגדול בתולדות סין שחתם שבוע של מפגני כוח דיפלומטיים שנועדו לשדר מסר ברור למערב.
במערב אכן נרעשו וחלק גדול מהעניין היה סביב הפגישות המשותפות של נשיא סין שי, נשיא רוסיה פוטין ואורח מפתיע במיוחד – ראש ממשלת הודו – מודי.
מאחורי ההצהרות המתריסות, כשעל השטיחים האדומים מהלך גם נשיא צפון קוריאה קים ג'ונ-און, נרקמו בסין כמה עסקאות שהולכות לעצב את העולם.
