הסופר ישי שריד, בנם של דורית ויוסי שריד, נולד בתל אביב בשנת 1965.
עוד לפני שהתמסר לכישרון הכתיבה שלו, למד שריד משפטים ומנהל ציבורי ועבד בפרקליטות המדינה ובמגזר הפרטי. כיום עוסק ישי בכתיבה, עריכת דין ובוררות.
עד כה, פרסם שריד שישה ספרים. ספריו תורגמו לשפות שונות וזיכו אותו בפרסים רבים.
ספריו של ישי עוסקים בזהות הישראלית על כל קשת גווניה.
בפרק היום, נעסוק בספרו האחרון של שריד - ״מנצחת״.
