סמ"ר נטע ברעם ז"ל, בן 20 מחדרה, שירת כמפקד בנחל עוז ונפל בשבת השחורה בעודו נלחם במחבלים. אימו נירית מספרת: "ב-7.10 לא היו אזעקות בחדרה, לא ידענו בכלל מה קורה. ב-7:30 ראינו הודעה שקיבלנו מנטע שמתחילה במילים 'זו כנראה ההודעה האחרונה שאני רושם לכם' - מיד ניסינו להתקשר אליו. השיחה איתו הייתה בערך 3 שניות, הוא אמר: 'אני לא יכול לדבר, אני מטפל בחייל פצוע - יש פה מלחמה'. במשך חמישה ימים לא ידענו בכלל מה קורה איתו - אך לאט לאט התחילו להגיע הבשורות למשפחות השכולות. אמרתי לעצמי שאני לא אתן שידפקו לנו בדלת, אז ישבנו בחוץ וחיכינו. ברגע שקיבלנו את הידיעה על נפילתו של נטע - הדבר הראשון שעלה לי בראש זה: 'תנשמי, יש לך שתי בנות, אין לך ברירה - נטע לא היה רוצה שתתרסקי".
נירית מספרת שלנטע הייתה חיבה מיוחדת ללגו: "זאת הייתה אחת האהבות הגדולות שלו - בהודעה האחרונה שהוא כתב לנו הוא ביקש שנמשיך לאסוף ולבנות לגו בשבילו. הצוואה הזאת ממומשת, אני מרכיבה הרבה מאוד דגמי לגו - זה ממש ריפוי בעיסוק. בכל פעם שאני מרכיבה דגמים בחדרו, אני מסתכלת על התמונה שלו על הקיר ושואלת 'נו, אתה גאה בי?'"
