הספר ״והכלה סגרה את הדלת״, אשר יצא לאור בשנת 2016 בהוצאת כתר, הוא הספר השביעי שפירסמה רונית מטלון לאחר שישה ספרים משמעותיים בספרות העברית. הספר תורגם ל-6 שפות שונות ואף זיכה את רונית בתואר כלת פרס ברנר לשנת 2017. רונית מטלון עליה השלום נפטרה שנה לאחר יציאת הספר לאור, כשהיא בסך הכל בת 58.
את הפרק ילווה בקולו וחוכמתו הסופר דרור משעני. דרור היה העורך של הספר "והכלה סגרה את הדלת" ואחד מחבריה הקרובים ביותר של רונית מטלון.
