הסופר אהרן אפלפלד ז״ל נפטר בשנת 2018. ספרו ״תימהון״, בו נעסוק בפרק זה, יצא לאור בשנת 2017 בהוצאת כנרת זמורה-ביתן והוא היה הספר האחרון שיצא לאור לפני שהוא נפטר.
אפלפלד כתב עשרות שירים, רומנים ונובלות אשר זיכו אותו בשלושה עשר פרסים בארץ ובעולם וכתביו תורגמו לעשרות שפות.
בפרק זה נחשף לרבדים נוספים באישיות המופלאה של אפלפלד ולסגנון הכתיבה הכה מיוחד שלו.
