The Stock Movers podcast, your roundup of companies making moves
in the stock market, harnessing the power of Bloomberg Data.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
All right, let's take a look at some of the
stocks on the move today. I'm Alex stal with Paul
Sweeney and were joined now by Bloomberg's Christina Kino. Let's
talk about the biggest decliner that's leading the Dow Jones
Industrial Average lower. That is United.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Health United Health alex that is the more than fourteen
percent of so those opening losses really picking up Steve here,
and the big use is the fact that it unexpectedly
replaced its CEO and brought back its former CEO and chairman,
Stephen Hemsley. Now Hemsley, of course, is a United Health
veteran he joined in nineteen ninety seven start a CEO

(00:49):
for about a decade, starting in two thousand and six. Now,
United Health has had one heck of a time. They
suspended their earnings guidance as well for this year, citing
higher unexpected medical costs for some of its beneficiaries. And
as we remember, last month they cut their annual guidance
and reported their first earningsmiths in more than a decade.
So it sounds like a lot of turmoil over there.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
Yeah, just I mean the old withdrawing the guidance new CEO. Boy,
that is just yeah, so that I can see how
the stocks reacting to that. How about our good friends
of Boeing. Some good news here, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Some good news at Boeing. A couple of Bloomberg News
reports actually contributing to the share gains there potentially run
up now more than two percent, mirroring three percent. So
those games pick up seem from the open. So one
Bloomberg News report saying that China has removed a month
long ban on airlines from taking delivery of Boeing planes.

(01:41):
So that follows, of course, the more quarter relations between
US and China after some trade talks over the weekend.
And we have another Bloomberg News report also saying that
Saudi Arabis Sovereign Wealth Fund will be ordering thirty seven
to three seven Max jets for its aircraft leasing company
avy Lease. And that is just until for President Donald
Trump to be heading to the Middle East.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
All right, Let's wrap it up here with en Phase,
So that is a solar company, and we had revisions
within the GOP tax bill about some of the IRA
tax credits walking through it.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Yeah, exactly in phase now extending those losses down more
than four percent since the open and exactly that alex
en phase really among the kind of companies are at
risk if this tax bill passes makes us through the
House and the Senate. So basically BMO cutting its recommendation
precisely because of that. They're now seeing the stock as

(02:36):
an underperform and they're citing those proposed tax changes, potentially
a plan to eliminate credit for homeowners who take loans
or pay cash for the residential solar and battery system.
So they're thinking in phase, really going to take the
brunt of that pain.
