This week we explore Dong Nguyen and his personally and publicly reviled mobile game, Flappy Bird. A talented independent game developer, his innovative game eventually consumed and destroyed him and he could not bring himself to realize a kind of fame and fortune the average person can only dream of achieving. Flappy Bird took the world by storm and became one of the most popular games of all time. But the overwhelming success ultimately proved too much to handle, and Dong made the difficult decision to delete the game, causing his world and the world of it's rabid fanbase to come crashing down. The Vietnamese mob might have been involved as well. ALLEGEDLY.[body]
