We forget sometimes that the internet isn't used by civilians alone for memes and forums, but also government agencies. We use it to do our taxes and tweet at the President our dissatisfaction as if he's actually gonna read it. The government also uses it to recruit young people into the military. Normally it was with video montages encouraging you to "Be all you can be", but with the proliferation of memes as a language of their own, they have shifted tactics and implored the help of streamers and influencers to create thirst traps to entice the impressionable reply-guys to sign away their rights and become government issue simps.
