🎙️ AI DJ Now Takes Voice Requests
Spotify's AI DJ has leveled up with voice control. Premium users can now request specific songs, genres, or vibes just by speaking to the DJ. For instance, you can say, "Play some chill jazz for the evening," and the DJ will adapt accordingly. To activate it, hold down the DJ icon in the Now Playing screen and speak your request.
đź“‹ Smarter Playlist and Queue Tools
The Queue interface has been redesigned for a smoother listening experience. Users now have quicker access to tools like Smart Shuffle, Repeat, and Sleep Timer. New song recommendations appear at the end of the queue, and users have the option to turn off these suggestions. A new feature called "30-day Snooze" is also being tested. This lets users temporarily remove songs from their recommendations, offering a more flexible way to personalize playlists.
đź“š Easy Audiobook Purchases & Top-Up Hours
Spotify is making it easier to enjoy audiobooks. Premium users can now purchase audiobooks directly in-app and even buy extra listening hours beyond the included 15 per month. This update removes previous barriers and streamlines audiobook access within the Spotify ecosystem.
🎶 Music Pro Tier Coming Soon
Later this year, Spotify will introduce a new "Music Pro" tier, designed for audiophiles. It will offer CD-quality, lossless audio along with early concert ticket access and enhanced features. This premium plan is aimed at users who want the highest fidelity streaming experience available. These updates reflect Spotify’s ongoing focus on personalization, ease of use, and premium listening options.
