Fraser (00:00):
Nother realm is a real
play Dungeons and Dragons
podcast where in Bruce Tannerand we'll try to make dumb jokes
and a compelling story. Some ofthe content within will not be
for children. But if thatdoesn't bother you, then here's
what happened on the lastepisode of Nother realm. I
(00:24):
cannot get back home. Theseimbeciles from Castor Haven have
taken over the town ne'er dowells.
Bruce (00:35):
I say so you're, you're
asking for the old old fashioned
favor.
Tanner (00:39):
The information that I
have gathered is from a bard in
town he calls himself Aaronassure I do have an idea like if
you were trying to get in thefront door and like they saw you
in Melton know what you looklike, make you look like
something different.
Bruce (00:58):
We need to find out where
the town's God on let them out
so that we can use thatcommotion to get movement.
Tanner (01:04):
I had to make a
suggestion. Prison would be a
good place to start.
Bruce (01:09):
I'm gonna start picking
the lock on my thieves tools.
Fraser (01:11):
You hear an alarm start
to ring out from this and you
know that while you haveunlocked this jail cell, you
have tripped a magical alarminside.
Bruce (01:21):
Alright, six looks like
we're moving quick.
Fraser (02:06):
Archie, you've, you've
just clicked this door open. And
this guy, he's starting to pushto the front now. So the guard
that that does stand up andstarts walking to the front. You
know, and the other men kind oflet him through. He's a he's a
stern looking fellow with amilitary hairstyle. And he just,
(02:28):
he kind of exudes that sort oftoughness. That's that's his
basic aura.
Tanner (02:35):
You can't be to get
locked up in a cell.
Fraser (02:38):
Well, I mean, that's
something you could discover as
you talk to him. So he's
Bruce (02:41):
like, he's basically he's
basically dove longer. That's
what you're telling me?
Fraser (02:46):
Yeah, I mean, yeah. From
from like, we'll go with that
for Mortal Kombat. DolphLundgren from Mortal Kombat.
Wait, was he? No, he wasn't. Hewasn't American man. And
Bruce (02:56):
okay. Well, yeah. You're
talking about Johnny Cage. No, I
Fraser (02:59):
was thinking, the guy
with the blonde hair that comes
to the top guy, Street Fighterthat Street Fighter Street
Fighter is what I'm Street
Tanner (03:05):
Fighter. 200. Jesus, get
your fighting games.
Bruce (03:08):
Okay, fighting games or
niche. So.
Fraser (03:12):
Alright, Dolph Lundgren
walks forward in and is prepared
for action. What do you guyswhat do you guys say in the
start to stay in? I mean, youjust tried to rile these dudes
up. And you're basically incontrol of the situation,
seemingly as these alarms aregoing off.
Bruce (03:29):
So
Will (03:31):
I think six speaks up
first. Well, this doesn't really
change anything, guys. I thinkwe still go create as much panic
as we can. All right.
Fraser (03:43):
I mean, and this is so
Dolph Lundgren. He walks forward
to the other guys.
Tanner (03:49):
He says, Now,
Fraser (03:52):
you boys have fucked up.
We were real close the a&r, sellthat here. But I guess now we
got to classic Zarkon standoffand the guards around him kind
of chuckle. How about you to goahead and unlock my boys in that
other cage and then we'll getrolled.
Bruce (04:09):
I'm already doing that.
Fraser (04:11):
Yeah, so this guy is
trying to try to give you
orders. You're already overthere trying to work that out.
Go ahead and roll them thievestools for me.
Tanner (04:19):
While he's while he's
locked in the cage. I looked at
the guys. What about what aboutthis fellow over here? Is he one
of yours
Fraser (04:26):
now and get two shits
about him? He was actually
locked up before we came in.
Now, if you don't mind, get thehell out of our way and let the
adults handle the situation. Ah,
Will (04:39):
I don't see a better
course of action. I've just
moved out the way
Fraser (04:43):
okay, what's your what's
your role on that? That there D
20.
Bruce (04:47):
There Archie 22 total.
Fraser (04:51):
Oh, click clack. That
door unlocks real fast. And hey,
wouldn't you know it the armscontinue going off. Yeah. So all
of these guards began to fallout. Unnamed Dolph Lundgren kind
of hangs back. And he's, he'stelling these guys where to go.
(05:14):
And he's looking at you too andsaying, Listen, I mean, I'm
going to tell you not to get inthe way.
Bruce (05:23):
I'm not listening. I'm
unlocking their cell. Oh, just
with the single stranger in it.
Yep. Okay. All right. So goahead and give me that role. 17
Yeah, that'll do
Fraser (05:36):
it too. So used to being
open this this other lock so
this so Dolph, longer man isbasically just talking to six at
this point. So
Tanner (05:44):
what's he saying? Just
go ahead and say it
Fraser (05:46):
ASAP. It's just
basically stay out of our way.
We've got this under control,then wizards don't know what's
gonna hit him.
Will (05:56):
You can absolutely count
on us to stay out of your way.
You are of no consequence to us.
Tanner (06:03):
Oh, oh.
Bruce (06:05):
Okay. All right. Hang on.
Give me one second. Oh, forinsulting he
Tanner (06:10):
does it realize that you
just did
Fraser (06:15):
the one on this dice
100% says I have I've gotten my
net one out of the way it'sdone. It's gonna suck for you
the rest of the time, though.
Tanner (06:26):
Here's the best part
about this standard six doesn't
realize he just insultedOh, okay.
Bruce (06:33):
Six just assumed it was
the way language
Tanner (06:35):
is just yeah, you're of
no consequence. You know, it's
not like he was trying to bemean he's just the you're not
part of our mission. Go create.
Go do you do you boo boo. Thatvery,
Fraser (06:47):
very, very good. Very
good. Archie, you are able to
swing open this door. The figurein the back of the cell is
currently you know, has a cloakdraped over them. And as you
swing this door opens,
Bruce (07:03):
Fraser welcome to the
podcast. What do you do?
Fraser (07:09):
So the door swings open
and I say thank you so much for
letting me out and I haul assdown the hallway.
So as you turn up, do they dothey get a glimpse of of your
face or anything under thiscloak?
All they can see is a slightlypointed right ear popping out
from behind the hood of thecloak as I kind of run pass down
(07:31):
the hallway and disappear intothe dark.
Tanner (07:34):
Pause. pause real quick.
We're doing a podcast where weplay it as a team and Fraser's
first action in the podcast. Oh,thank you peace
Fraser (07:47):
I love it. Well, welcome
to the podcast or our first
edition.
Bruce (07:52):
Now this guy's been
locked up before he understands
what happens when someone letyou have a sale.
Fraser (07:57):
You go you fucking you
go you you. The cell opens you
see your chance you did
Tanner (08:04):
six, didn't he? I mean
he just said Oh, well. That was
another guy. I guess he wasactually with those guys. It
wasn't Archie, Archie date. Theyall seem kind of dumb, but they
should serve the purpose that wetried to achieve.
Bruce (08:17):
I love it when a plan
comes together.
High five. High five. Yes. Okay.
Fraser (08:24):
So at this point, it is
just the two of you Archie and
six in this jail Hall. Again itis not this sort of extreme jail
where you know everything issuper secure.
Bruce (08:38):
It's a city or county
jail not a maximum security
penitentiary.
Tanner (08:43):
Exactly.
Bruce (08:45):
The problem however,
Fraser (08:47):
is that alarms are going
off and now though you heard
feet leaving the jail cell youhear commotion outside and a few
feet entering the jail cell
Tanner (09:02):
I think I have a plan
we're still disguised right
Fraser (09:07):
you are still disguised
somehow through the through the
abundant magic of Aaron as youryou are somehow still disguise I
have inadvertently made this manso fucking powerful that he
doesn't have to see you tomaintain a disguise spell. Oops.
Oh, cool. Good.
Tanner (09:26):
I don't know. I like to
think I like to think that he
didn't. He actually sold a shit.
He didn't actually use a spell
Fraser (09:33):
on Oh, he used to spell
it was 100% of spell he's a
spell spell Cassius Bard. That'sthat's
Will (09:39):
super powerful them all
right. RG
Bruce (09:42):
drives man I'm telling
it's the drugs do wicked things
for your
Fraser (09:46):
consciousness manna from
heaven baby.
Will (09:49):
Archie, let's pretend like
we're locked up and they escaped
by pushing us in here.
Bruce (09:57):
Alright, I grabbed six by
his arm and pull him out. After
the sale and slowly shut thedoor
Fraser (10:03):
okay, it shuts but it
does not lock.
Bruce (10:05):
Yeah, no. Is it like a
clear latch lock? Or is it like
a door a keythat like it's a key? Okay. So
you would not be able to tell byvisual observation like easily
that it was unlocked or locked?
Fraser (10:18):
Correct. I mean if they
went and they pulled it than it
would unlock than me it wouldjust swing open but like
visually you know, you cannotcurrently tell that it is
Bruce (10:25):
unlocked. Okay. All
right.
Fraser (10:29):
So the the
Bruce (10:31):
Polish should find that
fellows in here at some point
six
Tanner (10:37):
I was trying to look
through my spell sheet to see if
I had something like this NOCworking
Bruce (10:42):
reverse. No, it opens it
doesn't close. Dang it.
Tanner (10:46):
I don't have I don't
have anything I have not.
Bruce (10:50):
I can collect and lock
it. If you want to lock it. I
don't want to lock it becauseI'm gonna fucking hit somebody
with the door and then I'm gonnahit him with my axe. Oh, yeah.
Okay, yeah. Is it ambushed
Tanner (10:59):
and we're like, kind of
holding the bars. I'll kind of
hold the bar shut. I'm going to.
Bruce (11:04):
I'm an apex predator
will. Okay, let's do it.
Fraser (11:07):
How? Okay. What comes in
are two purple robed wizards.
And they are rushing down. I Ican't exactly what color were
you guys. Do you remember? Whenwe're on top?
Bruce (11:24):
We were below?
Fraser (11:25):
You both green. Okay.
Yeah. All right. So these twoPurple's come in and they notice
you in the jail cell. One ofthose speaks up and goes. Well,
what happened? Why are you guyswhat? We were supposed to keep
them locked up. How do they getout? You get in?
Bruce (11:45):
I just shrug.
There's an army of guards infront of them right?
Fraser (11:51):
These two somehow
managed to get into the jail
cell. You can hear commotionfrom upstairs
Bruce (11:55):
though. Oh, I didn't
think that the guards took off.
Oh, yeah, they
Fraser (11:59):
left everyone left for
you to
Will (12:01):
just just get us out of
here.
Bruce (12:06):
swing my axe when the
door opens.
Fraser (12:08):
Alright, though the one
that didn't speak, walks up and
you can see him fiddling with itwith his hands begin muttering
to spell he's within swingdistance of the jail door.
Bruce (12:19):
Can I for theatrical
purposes, kick the door into him
for nothing other thantheatrical purposes and then hit
him with my X.
Fraser (12:27):
Spartan kick that door
baby. I do. Alright, go ahead
and give me an athletics check, please.
Bruce (12:36):
14 on a die and I know I
get at least plus fours.
Fraser (12:38):
Yeah, that'll do it. So
as this guy's preparing a spell.
You kick this door right nearthe lock so that you can get a
sturdy footing on it. And itswings open and bam knocks this
guy backwards. Let's see. Hefalls prone. And the other guy
in the purple robes just looksshocked that you've done this. I
(13:01):
need you guys go ahead and rollinitiative for me.
Bruce (13:03):
Okay, so I also say when
I kicked the door open as RG
fine. I'm gonna run I'm gonnarun that through this entire
campaign. entire campaign. Allof it. 19 total. Okay.
14 total.
Tanner (13:24):
I've just I've just
watching Frasier sit here like,
Fraser (13:28):
I'm waiting. I'm waiting
for my opportunity. Don't worry.
It's best.
Bruce (13:33):
Okay.
Fraser (13:35):
So first up in the order
is six. Archie has just kicked
open this door and knocked thisguy down. You can do what you do
on normal turns What do you do?
Stuff stuff.
Tanner (13:53):
About uh, I want to run
and grab the other one.
Fraser (13:59):
Okay, so we're going to
do some grappling rappeler. Now,
grappling is now part of unarmedstrikes. And unarmed strike does
melee attack blah, blah. Yeah, you guys know what unarmed
strike does, you don't have aweapon. So target within your
reach. Depending on character, typically five feet. You can use
that action that unarmed striketo grapple. The target is
(14:22):
grappled. If you hit the grappleis DC equals eight plus your
strength modifier plus yourproficiency bonus, this grapple
is possible only if the targetis no more than one size larger
than you. And if you have a handfree to grab the target so we're
going to use those rules goahead and roll that attack for
me. So it is an unarmed strike.
So it is going to be plus yourstrength modifier. So 12 plus
(14:44):
two is two
Bruce (14:48):
plus proficiency right?
No, no, no, no, that's the same.
Nevermind.
Fraser (14:52):
Oh, yeah. No, you
everyone's proficient with
unarmed strikes. I hope I hopeI'm not wrong on that. If I am
wrong than that actually do thatand Please. All right, so you
reach out to this guy and yougrab him with with one arm and
pull them close. You actuallycurrently do have him grappled.
The other is on the floor. Soone prone and one basically
(15:16):
incapacitated from moving in adistance standpoint.
Tanner (15:19):
Can I speak to him as
I'm doing this short? Six
seconds worth. You're going tohelp us and we won't hurt you.
Fraser (15:30):
This dude is hyper
confused. Go ahead and roll into
intimidation at advantage.
Tanner (15:42):
Ooh, read advantage.
Good because I have a minus 113on dice. 14 on ISO 13 total.
Okay, minus one.
Fraser (15:55):
That'll do it. This guy,
he you could you could almost
feel his confusion me liketenses up and he's looking
around trying to figure thingsout. Because to have people that
are ranked higher than he is arecurrently holding him. He starts
nodding and he says yeah, that'sthe that's the plan anyway,
(16:18):
like, I'm just we're we're hereto support sir.
Tanner (16:23):
Tell your friend to
stand up and dust himself off.
We got a job to do.
Bruce (16:27):
Look, okay. All right.
Okay. Why are you rushing?
Tanner (16:32):
Brett? Bulls rushing? I
am rushing down. Because you
said something. I gotta it'svery difficult for me to do this
voice because I don't sound likea nerd at all. Okay. Hey. Hey,
Brett. Stand up. We got a lookat it a brand. You look. I know.
He does look like a Brettdoesn't like, Ah, okay. Sorry,
Brett. Hey, listen. We got tohelp these guys. We're gonna
(16:54):
help you guys. What do you guysdo for us? Like you were locked
up? We're gonna get you out.
Archie. I say as a as actually.
Should we go ahead to theleader?
Bruce (17:06):
Did I write down?
Rich douchebag man.
Tanner (17:10):
Yeah, I've got it. It's
his name is Dennis. Like Dennis
was a TA. Oh, yeah, that's theway Dennis.
Bruce (17:21):
Okay, yeah, I'm gonna
look at the dude on the ground
pick himself up and that's gonnabe like where are they keeping?
Everyone? I got locked up.
There's not a God.
Fraser (17:33):
He starts to eat like he
stands up and dust himself off.
And he throws a sucker punch atyour face.
Tanner (17:40):
Natural 20 baby
Fraser (17:42):
let's go. It feels good
for nerd to land a punch, don't
Tanner (17:45):
it? I look I whispered
his friends here.
Bruce (17:48):
That really? Five damage.
Okay, cool.
Guy rage and grow a fucking mob.
Wolf small. Okay.
Fraser (17:58):
This dude, when you when
you do that, go ahead and just
roll a straight D 20. For me.
Bruce (18:07):
16 Okay.
Fraser (18:09):
When you do that, it
goes off without a hitch. You
don't notice anything strange.
Bruce (18:15):
Okay, okay. What do you
do? Attack him.
Tanner (18:19):
Okay. Roll it. I mean,
we're kind of I was
Bruce (18:22):
I was that roll threw me
off that just Yeah, yeah.
Good.
Yeah, I'm doing a bite attack.
So it is. Where's thedescription? We're sorry. One
second.
Tanner (18:35):
I hope you one shot this
dude at the other guys just like
fucking bread. What the fuck
Will (18:43):
was the bread?
Bruce (18:44):
Bread 19 on the or 19
Total to hit?
Fraser (18:47):
Yeah, that hurts. That
hurts.
Bruce (18:48):
It's right.
Yeah, that's gonna be a solidnine damage.
Fraser (18:53):
Okay. All right, you
lurch out at Brett and you
connect with your newly formed
Bruce (18:59):
wolf Ma.
Fraser (19:02):
It takes him from
looking healthy, as healthy as
someone who spends most of theirtime in a library studying books
to at death's door. Nearlyimmediately, this guy drops to
his knees. Now looking at thewound you've made in his
shoulder that is just bleedingprofusely is like helical
Bruce (19:26):
forwards the chunk of
meat that I took off of him to
the ground, and I leaned realclose to him and I say this
isn't your school. Boy. This isthe real world. You make another
mistake like that again, and I'mgonna bite your fucking head
off.
Fraser (19:41):
Alright, as you do that,
like your face is reforming back
into your normal face as I'mcoming out of rage.
Bruce (19:50):
This guy?
Yeah, he is.
Fraser (19:56):
He is pale not just from
the blood loss but Also just out
of fear at this point and likehe quickly takes a part of his
robe and puts it up against thethe chunk that's missing out of
him. And he's just sitting therenodding like he doesn't even
deign to speak at this point. Soboth of these guys are are
pretty much set. What are youasking of them?
Bruce (20:19):
I say she got me that
fancy magic close wounds. role
Tanner (20:24):
I shoot a Healing Word
while maintaining the grapple on
the other guy actually, I kindof loosen the grapple a little
bit but if he's gonna run I'mgonna try to grab him again just
I'm preparing that action butI'm gonna hit him with the bonus
action of Healing Word and Iheal him for three plus six nine
health buoyancy
Bruce (20:43):
gains back Oh, nice.
Okay, cool. Yeah,
Fraser (20:47):
you can see the bloods
not pouring out of the wound
anymore. I mean, there's still achunk missing you can't repair
that but he seems to be morestable.
Bruce (20:59):
Just kind of be a little
more realistic about the fact
that I just did a chunk out ofit. Yeah,
Fraser (21:03):
like like yeah, that's
that's something that you're
going to really need to go seesomeone about
Bruce (21:07):
Yeah, so that he's not
you know, profusely bleeding as
we walk through the town.
Anyway, all right. I
Will (21:13):
mean, so easy or hard.
It's up to you guys. Really?
Bruce (21:18):
They always pick the
fucking hard way. At first.
Fraser (21:22):
If I can speak for both
me and Brett like worked out
worked out like we were down butthey'd like it then he was down
and then like physically thatbut like listen Hey, Listen,
guys. Like always. We're yoursuperiors like literally I mean,
like my God, I didn't know thatthere was a spell that could
turn your face into like the rapbut like, I mean, come on. What
what do you what do you what doyou need from us? Like what uh,
(21:47):
like there's guys that just gotout of here upstairs. I mean,
you know, they put you in thereso like,
Bruce (21:51):
I don't know where we
gotta go file. Oh, go any
dentists
Will (21:57):
actually looking for
dentists. And and then maybe you
could take us to Zeke. Oh,well, Zika betta are like good
the baler so like you know therewould there in the minor
switched over to AG dude, youthis is so difficult. It makes
me stopped up every time
Tanner (22:18):
you did it.
Fraser (22:19):
I know. Zika that
Arthur? Like they're the better
so like, this doesn't sound thesame you guys are gonna have
bear with fuck me. I thought itwas gonna be easy.
Bruce (22:33):
Zika wrong.
Will (22:35):
Or the batter? So like if
you want to go see them? Like, I
mean, you've got more accessthan we do. So like this doesn't
sound like like like a billionvery helpful, but like, you
know,
Tanner (22:47):
why don't you point us
in the right direction and then
from there go fight thoseguards. But they they're pretty
tough customers though. I'd becareful. Ah, one more question
though. Who Who was this thatwas locked up in this cage here
that we're in that currently?
Well, first let
Will (23:06):
me let me kind of get out
the first thing Okay, so I it's
kind of weird. I guess maybe youguys did you got called late
because you know they were likeif you're a green that you're
supposed to be part of the richwe
just got here from the Citadel.
Bruce (23:22):
Oh, that's horrific car
stolen the Citadel. Blow.
We went to our favorite shop onthe Citadel. Now shut up and
tell us the truth.
Fraser (23:33):
Okay, so these these
guys are prepared there. They're
dusting themselves off and well.
One of them's dusting themselvesoff. The other one is is
attempting to cover up that deepgash in his in his shoulder. Not
die. That's what I heard. Yeah, not die. While this is
happening. I'm actually going toshift perspective here for a
minute. So six just asked aboutthe guy that ran out of the jail
(23:57):
cell there wasn't part of theguards. So we're gonna shift
over to that point of view.
Bruce (24:06):
Frazier, your
Fraser (24:08):
character just ran out
of the jail. Basically following
these these guards that wereleaving and brushing by them to
get out before any other troublecame. As you breach the top of
the stairs in this small jail.
Bruce (24:25):
You can see
Fraser (24:28):
a group of malt
multicolored wizards students
coming in this direction theyare on your left and then you
can soon hear the guards comingup like that you can hear them
behind you gathering someweapons from inside. As you know
(24:48):
that there's about to be aconfrontation like you're you're
outside in Arcus and
Bruce (24:55):
free. So what what are
what are you doing
Fraser (25:00):
So real quick who
there's about to be a
confrontation betweenwho? The Wizards and the guards
from the jailand the guards, okay, I'm
staying out of it, for sure. AndI'm looking to gather supplies
to be able to further mymission, which was to seek out
self improvement.
Bruce (25:23):
Oh, okay. Every,
Fraser (25:24):
everyone should seek
self improvement. Alright.
So by that I mean furtherfurther my financial gains. Ah,
all right. So as you're asyou're looking around, you've
got your hood drawn up over you.
It's this, it's this roughCanvas thing that you were able
to scrounge before for you werearrested. And you pull it over
yourself and begin lookingaround. Go ahead, give me a
(25:45):
perception check. So that'll beD 20. Plus your purse get
perception skill.
Tanner (25:54):
Prescription
Fraser (25:55):
prescription? Oh, that's
a net 20 Actually, oh, very
first roll.
Tanner (26:02):
So first roll very
first, as
Fraser (26:04):
a net 20
listeners. This is Frazier's
first time playing Dungeons andDragons. And its first role ever
is a determinism netwhere I dude, I
am that, Tony. It's very, I'mhonored. I mean, this is off to
a great start. Okay, so asyou're looking around, you can
kind of see, you get a very goodidea of all the shops and stuff
that are near here. There's afew residential buildings. But
(26:27):
there's also in all thiscommotion, there's a few shops
that are unattended, becausethis place is pretty much under
siege. By the by these thesepeople from Castro Haven, the
businesses aren't reallyoperating like normal. So you
see, opportunity abound. Whatexactly what might you be
(26:50):
looking for? What's what's themost lucrative thing that you
could think of like you can youcan look for, you know, magic
item shops, potion shops, armor, weapons, I mean, this is a town
that's not going to be so flushwith that kind of stuff. It's,
but you do see sort of like ajeweler and clothing stores and
(27:11):
things of that nature.
Well, my character is not goingto be particularly concerned
with weaponry or fineries. Moreor less, I need to find some
kind of garb if you will, tobasically not look like a
prisoner any longer to be ableto blend in much easier than I
do right now.
All right, you you see a garmentstore nearby. It's
Bruce (27:37):
the name of it. Oh God,
not the name doting doublets and
doublets and
Tanner (27:48):
you know, it's a
franchise. Yeah,
Fraser (27:53):
I get it you guys, you
guys did it. It is a franchise
doting doublets and othergrateful garments, you see the
shop, and you're able to make itup. And with that natural 20 As
your casing this joint, you dosee that one of the windows is
probably the best means ofentry. It's a simple latch on
(28:16):
the inside, that you might beable to figure out if you were
skilled enough.
Okay, so I try to open thiswindow so that I can gain entry,
grab some things,
Bruce (28:26):
right? So
Fraser (28:28):
how would you like to
try and open the window. So this
is where this sort of creativeaspect comes in. You have an
opportunity, you know that theweak point is the latch? What
would you like to do to gainentry to this week?
Tanner (28:42):
Just a side note in the
weak point of a window, the
glass the glass
Fraser (28:47):
can totally break down
you're gonna fucking smash it.
They don't call it'll callattention potentially. Right?
But like you can also kickthrough it.
So are there any other points ofentry on this entire building?
There's a few more windows, there's a front and back door.
Bruce (29:01):
Okay. Yeah.
Fraser (29:04):
I mean, so like you
could also you could wrap your
fist in cloth, you could try andsmash it as quietly as possible.
Like, there are options course
Bruce (29:12):
the last twist, you're
just a strength roll something.
Fraser (29:15):
Yep. So basically,
Tanner (29:16):
however talks about what
we haven't talked about what
class he is, you could maybe usea cantrip to just blow through
that so you could
Fraser (29:23):
totally could. So like
it is it is literally up to your
imagination how you want to tryand open this one. So
I use eltra Elders blast andjust smash the windows.
Tanner (29:34):
Okay. This is gonna be
awesome. All right, blows it
away.
Fraser (29:39):
It is. It is it would be
wild of me to say roll it attack
roll, they hit a fucking windowon the side of the building. So
you you wave your hands aroundeach other and this purple
eldritch energy begins to formaround them. And you bring your
hands forward and launched thisspike of purple Death don't get
(30:02):
through this window, basically.
And then the glass shatters andyou have an entrance to this
building, you slip inside and itis it is filled with almost
anything that you could want todress yourself in and it ranges
from, you know, sort of mid tiercommoner garbs all the way up to
pretty nice things that reallyonly Chaudhry Abilene and his
(30:26):
family would be able to affordin this area.
So yeah, I go in and Idefinitely grab some things that
are nicer but not, hey, this guyis someone to pay attention to.
I don't want to attract anyundue attention. I want to be
able to not look like a richperson. But I also don't want to
(30:49):
look like a bum or a prisoner.
So I'm gonna grab something kindof mid tier, very plain colored.
Bruce (30:56):
Okay,
Fraser (30:56):
that is easy enough to
find so you pull back your cloak
and drop it as you're lookingthrough things. And at this
point, can you please go aheadand describe your character?
So my character is about alittle more than six feet tall
not someone who is very small instature but not a large person
either. Literally.
Tanner (31:16):
He's six foot tall and
he's the shortest character on
the go ahead
Fraser (31:22):
so not Yeah, maybe
relative to the other characters
a smaller person in stature butin general, like, you know, I'm
the largest person you know,he's an elf, and has has pointed
ears fair skinned dark hair, andnot someone that really gives
(31:44):
off a very intimidating vibe butat the same time someone you
would think twice about kind oftalking shit to kind of hard to
put your finger on exactly whatit is about this person but you
know, but handsome, goodlooking. Sharp features so
Tanner (31:59):
the opposite of real
life.
Fraser (32:00):
So the opposite of how I
am as a person
well, we love we love yourself.
Tanner (32:07):
Elf with dark
Fraser (32:08):
deprecating humor. Good.
Bruce (32:11):
Elves can have dark hair
Tanner (32:14):
maybe it's just I'm just
thinking the Lord of the Rings I
thinkLord of the Rings elves have
Elrod had fucking dark brownhair my dude what are you doing
Bruce (32:24):
to get with it get with
it.
Tanner (32:27):
Your Lego last?
Yes he did. Oh yeah, he did.
However Elrond half off ah seefuck you. But Arwin
Fraser (32:39):
more full blooded still
brunette lots of elves with dark
yeah forget
Tanner (32:43):
about what am I
thinking? Yeah, the one hot
chick from there's there's
Fraser (32:47):
legit there's legit one
elf that really has blonde hair
that you've seen and that'slegless.
Bruce (32:53):
out what No,
Tanner (32:55):
no, no. What's your
name? Another the the tall the
Gladius lady.
Fraser (33:01):
Galadriel does have
blonde hair they have no either
way. That is that is a lovelydescription. Is there anything
that you carry on you? Otherthan your clothes that is
noticeable at this point or isit just your personage like any
sort of belongings weaponry, anything like that?
(33:21):
So I do have a small dagger thatI keep tucked in my you know
behind me and other than that
Bruce (33:30):
behind and
Fraser (33:32):
there's there's a dagger
I keep my behind and there other
than that, there's not reallyanything visibly that I have
with me that you could see asany one outside of me.
Tanner (33:46):
You just did something
for you. You made something
cannon that is
Bruce (33:50):
I'm sorry, dude.
Tanner (33:54):
It's all about all
right.
Fraser (33:55):
Behind me tucking my
belt. I carried in my backside.
Alright,go ahead. Yeah, it's like how
we're curious is Glock justtalking to the back of his
pants?
Bruce (34:07):
First of all, that is a
terrible idea is terrible to
carry. That is how people getshot in their ass cheeks.
Fraser (34:12):
Yeah. Okay, you're able
to find, you know, very, very
well made traveling clothes isbasically what they ended up
being. It's pretty plain. It'snot going to make you stand out
while you're on the roads. Soyou're not like, ambush because
people aren't gonna go. Oh, hey, look at this rich looking,
dickhead. Let's take everythinghe's got. So you're able to
(34:34):
blend in pretty well, but thesethings are of high quality and
built for purpose. function overform is how these work
Bruce (34:45):
and you don't make any
clothes.
Fraser (34:49):
Oh, yes, certainly not.
As you're sort of pilfering thisplace. You do notice a shadow
outside the window. Seeming Thelooking in. So there might have
been a person who heard yourruckus. So among the commotion
outside,
Bruce (35:07):
someone cut off and you
got some attention.
Fraser (35:12):
So I'm going to quietly
continue gathering whatever I
have decided I will gather andmove toward the front door and
slowly and quietly unlatch it.
Bruce (35:23):
Okay, you move to the
front door. And
Fraser (35:28):
the locking mechanism is
on the inside, it doesn't
require a key, you're able toturn it and begin opening it in
you open enough to kind of peekoutside and realize this person
is now moving around to thewindow that you broke into. And
you very quickly slink out thefront door. And this point, you
can see the commotion you cansee the wizards grappling and
(35:50):
attempting to fight off theseguards. As you're watching, you
notice that the spell flingingstudents seem to have a pretty
heavy upper hand and they'returning this little altercation
pretty quickly. The guards didrearm themselves, but they don't
(36:15):
seem that capable. As you'retaking in the scene, what do you
intend for your next steps?
You mean, so I'm watching theseguards fight these students?
Yeah.
You getting the hell out ofdodge? Is there some?
I mean, yeah, I don't want toreally be involved in the
(36:36):
scuffle right now I'm not, I'mstill trying to get my bearings
about me. I'm still, you know, trying to trying to be out of
prison and stay out of prison.
And so I'm not really intotaking risks right now. Okay,
so you begin to kind of slinkoff and try and put yourself in
in the sort of shadows of thesituation and not draw any more
(36:57):
attention. And as you move off,you feel like you you lose your
tail. And you're able to goabout the cities about Arcus at
your at your own will, will moveback into the jail now. Archie
and six you both have these twoguys basically ready to do your
(37:19):
whim. They would have listenedto you before but now they are
confused and afraid. So you havethem lined up and ready to go.
What is your next
Bruce (37:31):
move? I guess we're going
to the manor.
Tanner (37:36):
Yeah, the the idea is
for them to take
Bruce (37:40):
us the human shields. Oh,
yes. Take us to the manor.
Tanner (37:44):
Right? Yeah, they're
taking us to the manor and then
they're gonna go join the fightwith the other little wizard
boys.
Bruce (37:51):
Okay. All right. That's
what his is going to do. Mine is
going to be a human shield forthe first spell that gets cast
me. Nice.
Tanner (37:57):
Okay, so
yeah, I guess we could keep them
Should we keep them as pets?
Fraser (38:01):
Wow, this is human
trafficking one on one welcome.
No,
Tanner (38:05):
we're not selling. We're
keeping Okay.
Fraser (38:08):
All right. This is
slavery. 101. Well,
Bruce (38:10):
correct. But no, not bad
either. Because this is human
sacrifice. In my case. Yeah.
This
Fraser (38:14):
is human sacrifice one
of them. I mean, boys and boys.
Bruce (38:18):
That's not a poison.
Human sacrifice
Tanner (38:21):
bad. What's,
Fraser (38:22):
uh, oh, yeah. Okay. All
right.
Bruce (38:24):
No greater good.
Fraser (38:26):
The two of you ready
yourselves with your human
shields, and basically walk outof this jail. So and you see the
same scene unfolding theseguards who are led by this this
one dude who never gave you hisname? Dolph Lundgren, man. They
(38:47):
they do seem pretty incapable.
Basically, this this regimenalmost of guards as being pretty
incapacitated by a handful ofstudents from Castro Haven.
Bruce (39:03):
No wonder they took over
the city. Seriously. Look at
these fools.
I told you they were pretty was
Will (39:10):
incapable. I think that's
a good word. Here.
Bruce (39:13):
They suck. Yeah,
Tanner (39:14):
yeah, this. Oh, that's
right. I learned that they suck.
I cast I want to quickly use acantrip cast guidance on just
him. I guess I can only do it onone creature.
Bruce (39:25):
Dolph Lundgren guy. Yeah,
he's not really willing. I guess
but I mean, he's he's not
Fraser (39:34):
I'll allow it so you
Tanner (39:36):
pick it forward to his
ability checks.
Bruce (39:38):
He definitely does not
want to die here. So
Fraser (39:40):
you cast you cast. You
cast guidance on him? I'm not
Tanner (39:43):
wasting the whole
fucking spell slot on this
stupid some good. Yeah.
Fraser (39:47):
He seems to perk up and
tries to rally his men.
Bruce (39:53):
And, you know, they come
on
Tanner (39:55):
maggots. You want to
live forever? Yeah, basically.
Yeah, he shuts him
Bruce (40:00):
Shout out all right.
Fraser (40:07):
I gotta get loud on as
well. All right, church guard.
We got this. It's just by doingit on leaders day watch after
the folks and take down theshoot heads.
Tanner (40:17):
Who's the what colors of
little jerseys to receive for
the wizards?
Fraser (40:23):
You're currently dealing
with purples and
Will (40:28):
they're getting beat by
purples
Fraser (40:30):
and blues, purples and
blues. Yep. Now purples and
greens, purples and greens.
Tanner (40:33):
Oh, great way our blues
hires and greens. You don't
know. We just walked past someblues to get into the the jail.
So they didn't, whatever.
Bruce (40:44):
I guess we assume that we
are we? We made an assumption on
who is like the second levelfrom the top. So
Tanner (40:52):
yeah.
Bruce (40:53):
If you had four levels,
right, and one is purple. We
were going to be whatever threewas, and for being red if we
were assuming that. Yeah, thatwas
Tanner (41:03):
that we chose green. But
we might have chosen correctly
is what Ted was saying. We kindof guessed.
Bruce (41:08):
Yeah, I want to make sure
that we we actually have the
right color for that idea forwhat we're assuming because I
don't remember. It's been whatwe want know your assumption.
Fraser (41:18):
I will give you that
your assumption that purple is
at the bottom is correct. Okay.
All right. Okay, so you guysbegin to move past this
kerfuffle with your two humanshields. And they're basically
leading you down the streettowards the manor. You can see
it crested at the end it is thelargest building in town. And as
(41:41):
you're as you're walkingthrough, you can kind of see a
few more wizards moving towardsthe altercation with the guards.
And soon you hear cheering noneof them sounds like a strong
Texan.
Bruce (41:58):
Cheer. Well,
Will (42:02):
that really wasn't much of
a distraction.
Bruce (42:07):
There already beaten I
say this
Tanner (42:10):
loud enough for the
purple cloaks to hear
Fraser (42:13):
Oh right. I forgot I'm
playing two characters in the
scene. ulead those guys werejust the turret scarred. They
were just kind of like that'swhy they were locked up there on
their bus. cellared like, Iforgot we need to catch you guys
up on some stuff. But like yourkind of lead though. But like
yeah, they are just locked up inthe jail because they don't
matter. They just they justguard the church on like,
(42:36):
worship bass.
Will (42:38):
Well, Archie, we might
have a new new goal where's the
seller?
Bruce (42:44):
says at the bottom of the
banner. I was
Tanner (42:47):
like I got like wine and
pipe eggs and stuff like that.
Will (42:52):
Understood. So the manner
it is that's where we need to
go.
Fraser (42:58):
Brett taps the other
guy. And the one that's been
talking to the whole time heturns he said well, why do you
want to go to the Baylor forlike what like, oh god the goal
for the for the broadcaster? Youknow?
Bruce (43:14):
What? The casting of the
cast? Yeah, no, I
couldn't hear. I couldn'tunderstand. I
Tanner (43:20):
understand. I'm trying
to stay character
what is the cat away? I thoughtBruce, I liked your question.
Because what
Bruce (43:31):
was it? Oh, it's the
casting.
Was that happening? Oh bad.
Okay, no, no. Do you knowcollege students are they're not
very good at leaving gooddirection. Yeah,
Tanner (43:40):
right. We were stupid
immature brats. So I
believe that's that's insulting.
But just how
Bruce (43:49):
he said we're not you
know, it's just self inclusive.
Tanner (43:52):
Me. I'm stupid and
immature. Not every college
student.
Okay, look, I Okay, and we'llplay some catch up like we got
we got a little ways without therush. Right. Hopefully the third
time take care of back there.
Okay, so listen.
Bruce (44:05):
So, Zeke, you those leak
right. Again, okay.
Fraser (44:11):
He came here are the
suggestion of the abolade kid
who's kind of a bit of a Wiebe
Tanner (44:17):
below, but like, leaks
got this idea.
Fraser (44:21):
Or he got this thing
from this guy. And they're going
to Summit. They start chucklingthe two of them together. The
other ones chuckled Brettchuckles kind of gurgly
Bruce (44:33):
Well, yeah, he's missing
his neck. Yeah.
Fraser (44:36):
But they're chuckling
amongst each other and they look
back to you go to Salvador blowthe roof of hip
Bruce (44:44):
that
Tanner (44:44):
is did you ever tell his
childhood we never got
chondrules last name correct.
Bruce (44:49):
Chandrapur ladder line.
Shit yeah, he just admitted thatthat is Dennis looking
Will (44:55):
all fuck me. You. Okay?
Bruce (44:59):
Yeah, so dad is
definitely not going to be down
to clown when it's time torescue him from demon wizard
summoning townfly cool. Oh well all of all of
that Ican choose not to kill him too
so that's okay.
All this sucks
Tanner (45:23):
just go ahead and say
whatever he's gonna say next
because I know you're about todo some other stuff
no I might for years I don'tknow what would you
Bruce (45:33):
know for someone in
revenue I don't owe you
something intervened, though but
Fraser (45:37):
we don't I believe that
like look the cool thing about
Dark Cloud The Revenant rightlike you though the story is the
bad is like mythic evil legit, but like if you submit them you
could control over up and thenwe could just take it to the man
we could be like your housewould give us our body back and
no more student loans that'd beit's a perfect plan.
Bruce (45:59):
Right Well, here's your
question if he's so evil and
warlord he What makes you thinkthat he's not gonna have some
way to get out of your control?
Tanner (46:09):
Because we've got this
Bruce (46:11):
mode all right, man. All
right.
Fraser (46:17):
Well, sorry, I forgot to
get Okay. You guys haven't been
here we got the stowed rightlike it's a big deal. This Zeke
the got the stowed out if you dothe stowed as you do the
southern a casting which we gotto take you guys through like
you shouldn't be a part of theshield method. But like, if you
got the stone, and youconcentrate all the magic harder
(46:38):
stuff on it. You could justbreak up DoorBird The Revenant
and that he's just gonna come inlike raging thunder and
lightning. And it's gonna be thered fury. But wherever we tell
it to go that lets us reallyfucking cool.
Will (46:53):
This the stones for sure.
I I am starting to get caughtback up in my mind. Can you tell
me? Where did where did we endup finding this stone?
Fraser (47:06):
I don't know about that.
Zeke got it. And then he justsaid hi guys. I got it. I think
he was I actually think someoneMike brought it to him and said,
Hey, this is what this thingdoes. So I think it's like a
friend that has that was like,in for the cars, you know. So
that's, that's kind of let me
Bruce (47:24):
get straight, random
cursed objects. I'm going to
choose a random cursed being whocan maybe possibly be controlled
by the stones holder, butprobably just the stones holder
and we're all going to gatherwhere it's a shaman and stand
around and focus all of ourenergy in summoning him. Is that
correct?
Fraser (47:43):
Well, though, you're
agreed. So you're gonna put the
shield off, right? Like yougotta protect the rods, as they
say actually subbed out the guy.
Cuz like, that's just the deal.
But like, but yeah, I be herethough. That's just everybody's
got their role to play. And ifwe all come together, then we
could go ahead and take it. Takeit to the crowd the baby.
Tanner (48:04):
I see what is the what
are the blues doing again? Can
you explain that? The Blues?
Bruce (48:10):
Let's just do it. Like,
Fraser (48:11):
they're just gonna do?
They're gonna defend our bed. Wegot like, we got our old jobs to
be like, hey, nobody comes. Youknow? Nobody comes
Bruce (48:22):
in here. Okay,
Will (48:26):
so there, there is no
color between green and red,
right? It's just red and greenand blues in purple. That's how
it goes. Is that right?
Tanner (48:35):
Though? How? Like, did
you guys argue transfer students
are assaulted?
Bruce (48:40):
No, we
just found a book so it's not
about the being of a black coloror something.
Fraser (48:45):
Oh no, that's just for
where the light graduate like
those are the evil that it'slike reserved for like really
powerful wizards that haveachieved something that their
life like if you've ever heardof our tidbit for Randy like
that, dude, is
Bruce (49:00):
that shit? Hold on.
Tanner (49:02):
Hold on that name means
something to me.
Bruce (49:07):
What does that even mean
to me? I'm Ottoman
Varun de oh my god wizardperfect.
Tanner (49:20):
Fuck we brought the ED
wizard into the
Fraser (49:24):
I'm watching from the
orator of the silent Kingdom
procure of the book of forgottensounds. Master of revelries for
the festival of things that haveyet already happened and most
importantly, the ad wizard.
Yeah,
Tanner (49:35):
that's that. You did
write that but I'm very proud of
you for remember rememberingthat random
Bruce (49:41):
voice calling out from
the sky. Sorry, that was ad
wizard or something? Yeah.
Fraser (49:44):
Oh, hey, the ad wizard
says just support us by
listening to podcast and sharingit with your friends because we
don't have like, we don't havethat. Okay. So, as as this sort
of conversation is going on.
Fraser you're moving along theside streets kind of Moving
through town figuring out yourbest path of getting out of here
but also gaining what you needfrom it like you're passing by
(50:08):
the specific stores and thespecific streets and these
dwellings and you're seeing thatthis is this town is, is pretty
well off in general. But you'restarting to hear this sort of
conversation that these two guyswho who busted you out of jail
are having with these these twowizards. They are making their
(50:28):
way up to the manor, which youhave not been to yet in here. It
sounds like somethingcatastrophic could potentially
happen up there, but with yoursort of knowledge. Well,
actually,
Bruce (50:49):
this is what happens. You
feel this warm twinge at the
back of your neck.
Fraser (50:59):
And you felt it many
times before. And very soon you
hear this voice that no one elsecan hear. And it says
Tanner (51:13):
that that's interesting.
Dawn loud, haven't heard thatname in a while.
Fraser (51:23):
You know this voice
because it's been to attach to
you ever since the incident. Andeach word he says is tinged with
what sounds like the sharpeningof a blade. How do you respond?
Tanner (51:42):
Who already who is who?
Well, guess what? Say it in thepodcast? Well, owl.
Fraser (52:00):
Who is dorm loud? We
need to find out?
Unknown (52:05):
Dom? He has a bit of a
strict form when it comes to
purpose. I can't see him tyinghimself to these in the sales,
certainly not more towardswithout carnage in their intent.
Fraser (52:27):
So only to those who
wish to do others harm.
Unknown (52:32):
Yes, you'd like him? I
mean, at least on our current
path.
Fraser (52:41):
Should we should we seek
to find this person?
Unknown (52:46):
It becomes Sure. Best
to keep an eye on it.
Fraser (52:53):
Best to keep a distance.
Unknown (52:55):
Wow. Isn't it always
you know how betrayal works?
Fraser (53:02):
You're right. Let's see
what we can do to find out it
seems like these two are on theright direction.
Unknown (53:09):
I agree. If you need
me, call me.
Fraser (53:14):
I know where to find
you.
Tanner (53:57):

you just gonna still kind offollow them in the shadows?
We're sticking we're sticking afew feet behind for the time
being. We're, we're we're withinrange and within earshot. If we
should say anything, they'llknow it. Okay, but we're not
directly associated yet. Allright,
Tanner (56:42):
I'm rolling in
perception.
Fraser (56:43):
Okay, go ahead and give
me a spell check then, then
Fraser. No, it would be your actor not act passively. Yep. Thank
you. Good Cop. What is your whatis your passive perception then?
Well, 15 Stealth Frasier is justgonna be a de 20 plus your
stealth modifier.
Oh shit. What is the stealthmodifier?
It's on your skill list. Thesame place you found the before?
Bruce (57:05):
Yep. Or whatever it was
you did?
My passive perception 10 or 17?
Oh,
Fraser (57:12):
D 20. Plus. Alright, so
that was a sure What does as
nine on dice.
It's not Yeah, it's I could doit. Okay,
Bruce (57:21):
yeah. Okay, um, plus two.
So the two of you
Fraser (57:25):
that you are currently
paying attention to to these
other guys. You hear commotionnow whether or not to sound at
the city or you know, anythingelse happening around you?
You're not certain but there isa bit
Bruce (57:42):
a bit of noise nearby. I
just
Will (57:45):
whisper over to Archie RGM
I'm sure you've already noticed
but I'm fairly certain We'rebeing followed. Maybe we should
keep an eye on that.
Bruce (57:56):
I worry about it when it
tries to stick a knife in the
back. Let's go. No time towaste.
Fraser (58:01):
Okay, so the five of you
continue on your pads up towards
the manor. As you're goingthrough town the houses and
businesses here are gettingnicer and nicer. You pass by a
couple jewelers. A porcelainstore some things that really
(58:22):
really stand out as nonnecessity but if you're rich
enough and you need somedecoration, it's here
Bruce (58:30):
if it's basically like a
Tanger Outlet
Fraser (58:32):
yeah if you're from an
area that has those Yeah, for
sure. It's like hey there's likea Nike store in here but I could
certainly go to Kohl's and getthese on sale
what's really striking is thethe street turns from
cobblestone to these exactlysquare cut stones. Marble ask as
(58:58):
you're approaching these stairsahead these green well kept
trees stand up on the sides andthese planters and you can see
the manor towering above allit's no castle but it is very
nice. The pillars out front aremarble the whole thing is
painted white in the sunlighthere it is just the sort of
(59:21):
picturesque thing at the end ofall the streets in Marcus slash
renamed and Marcus and the twowizards in front of you just
they kind of stare up at it andthey they say the one that
speaks the one that's not Brettsays bad if you know if I could
(59:43):
have been boarded to this kindof stuff. I believe everything's
paid for but like, which is whyI really don't understand why
you did if aberlady is just likeyeah, cool. I'm in for the
cause, but I believe Kido helike us and he's kind of a weedy
but oh sorry. are appointed ifyou're like, stick it up for the
people that aren't in the secondsituation is pretty cool. But
(01:00:05):
like they still available which
Bruce (01:00:09):
I assure you, your friend
Dennis cares nothing about you.
He just hates people who arebetter off than himself up. Hey,
Fraser (01:00:18):
would you see oh, you
should totally call up Dennis
skates it. Everybody in schoolwhether like the teachers, we
eat it out on the the daily paythis book. They're like, I think
this is a typo is that is here,or is that Dennis? And he's like
I've done enough. You know? It'sit's touchy about it, Denise?
Bruce (01:00:42):
Well, we'll keep that in
mind.
Fraser (01:00:44):
Cool. All right. So when
we get up to the gate, the thing
is, is like we got passwords allthe way through, right and
because we're not the highestlevel of whatnot evolve the
Sabat egg. We only got like thefirst password. So he lowers his
voice and kind of crouches nextyear. We're gonna get you guys
(01:01:05):
up to the door. But after this,we gotta scoot. I gotta take get
that fixed up. We'll go to takehim to the deer hospital if you
don't abide. But the firstpassword is Cougar Belen.
Tanner (01:01:21):
Is some college kids,
you know, suppose
Bruce (01:01:25):
I Kagan Leylen Okay, you
hit him like Yeah. Oh my How do
we?
Tanner (01:01:29):
What if they don't know
that we got the right package?
We entered this place? How do wehave our password
Fraser (01:01:38):
obeyed? You know, the
robes are typically a pretty
clean indicator. You really likeyou know, after you get past the
ad type magic barrier with thefirst few rooms and make
yourself like make your waytowards the courtyard, you're
going to like, you could ask atry figure out the password.
(01:02:02):
Like I said, I don't know. So,uh, but you just find somebody
with the same color robes asyour like, get oh, I mean, if
you get the drill, you canpretty much like that's just the
guys you know, it's just theguys you could I mean they know
you.
Bruce (01:02:21):
Tanner. Yes. As far as
like with these with these two
dudes are coming up on themanor. Right?
Yeah. Okay, is what is our like?
Locationand concerns of other robed
members like are we kind of inin the middle of nowhere, nobody
(01:02:41):
really paying attention to us.
Nobody's around.
Fraser (01:02:44):
So I mean, on the
stairs, and from the pathway,
like you've passed by a fewother wizards. Most of them have
been purple. As you're coming upto the door,
Tanner (01:02:54):
you see
Fraser (01:02:57):
from this distance, and
like they could take notice of
you, but are just, you know, they don't care at this point.
They don't really see you as athreat. But you can see up ahead
a couple of blues guarding thedoor. Beyond that, within within
the manner, you're not certainwhat the numbers look
Bruce (01:03:16):
like. Is there like an
alley or something that I can we
can cut down first before we goin here? Yeah, between
Fraser (01:03:21):
the nice houses that are
nearby right before the stairs,
or the final stairs up to themanor like you can you can see
sort of alleyways and placeswhere you could where you could
move yourself and kind of have aconversation out of view of
others.
Bruce (01:03:35):
Okay. Yeah, I'm
gonna steer towards that and be
like, Oh, hold on a secondbrothers. Pull over. You know
what, maybe I did get someinformation in the mail. After
all, let me start to be robeshere.
I'm kind of kind of justmeander into the alleyway with
them. Okay,
Fraser (01:03:49):
you do it. you direct
them over six brings his with
you.
Bruce (01:03:55):
Free Frasier your
character.
Fraser (01:03:58):
You see them coming in
this direction.
Bruce (01:04:02):
So what do you do?
Fraser (01:04:04):
I'm not going to run.
I'm not going to try and hidefrom them.
Bruce (01:04:08):
Okay. Oh, he's in there.
He's in this Allen. Yep.
Fraser (01:04:10):
You haven't seen him
yet. So we're just figuring out
what so you're just gonna you'regonna stand your ground and I'm
gonna more orless just, yeah, just kind of be
there kind of trying to looknonchalant Alright,
there's a there's some cratesand stuff nearby that you kind
of post up against as thesepeople who have not seen your
face yet? Come into the alley.
Archie you realize that there issomeone else here as you you
(01:04:33):
come in with these these two
Bruce (01:04:37):
students. Okay
Emelina about midway down
through the alley. And I'm goingto stop I don't really pay
attention to the gentlemanposted up on the crates if they
do they take notice.
Fraser (01:04:54):
Yep, what it as you see
these other two approaching, do
you just continue staying whereyou are
Bruce (01:04:59):
Fraser Oh yeah, I'm just
gonna kind
Fraser (01:05:02):
of post up and just see
what happens. Okay, yeah, it
doesn't matter I might I mightjust you know kind of glance up
notice that I noticed them sothat they noticed that I noticed
them andso on and so forth with that
kind of joke Yeah, for sure. Ohyeah,
Bruce (01:05:15):
I think last time at the
end of the at the end of our
session, I may have made acomment about giving my axe to
one of the guards but then yousaid they got weapons this time
around so I'm gonna assume Istill have my battle axe Yeah,
Fraser (01:05:24):
yeah, but I don't want
to part you from that so we can
make that okay.
Tanner (01:05:28):
Six is definitely
staring at him by the way. Like
oh Archie is doing that he'sjust leaving the guy on it to
the thing and piercing blue liteyes are just looking at this
guy that just said piece whenthey saw him in the thing.
Fraser (01:05:44):
Wow. You don't recognize
him?
I was gonna ask is is piercingeyes at me and he knows who I am
know who he is not enough. Butyou're like but six is staring
at me.
Tanner (01:05:56):
For sure. Six Six glare.
Absolutely looking at He glancesat my care
Fraser (01:06:01):
more like character says
Bruce (01:06:03):
Good evening. Oh shit.
Well. Hello.
I'm ignoring this and leading mystudents into the middle the
alleyway.
Tanner (01:06:14):
Okay, I six kind of
stops I guess the other student
would follow Archie or whatever.
I don't know what the otherstudent does. But I have not.
I'm six who? Who are you?
Pleasure to make your
Fraser (01:06:30):
acquaintance six. My
name is Mark Bach. My friends
may call me mark or Margie butplease don't do it frequently.
Ba
Bruce (01:06:45):
box six is not that.
Mark,
Fraser (01:06:49):
you seem a little slow.
Mark Bark. Bark.
Will (01:06:54):
Bark. Yes. A
Bruce (01:06:56):
little slow.
Will (01:06:57):
That's a that's an
interesting name from whence do
Bruce (01:07:01):
you hail? I
Fraser (01:07:05):
wake up from many
places.
Will (01:07:08):
That's a terrible answer.
Thank you i Six Come here. Oh,yeah, I want to go. That. That's
Archie. I'm six. Nice to meetyou. I'll be back. I'll walk you
over to archery.
Fraser (01:07:28):
Alright, so they they
both walk past you with these
students and kind of post up tothe to the next corner at the
back of these houses. Thestudents that are currently
looking at each other just kindof confused, be like,
Bruce (01:07:42):
well, what are we doing
here?
start patting my robes andacting like I'm looking for my
thing that had all thisinformation on it sure had me
rip somewhere in these robes.
What I'm really doing is aboutto pull my battleaxe out and
slack slapped a student's faceso
Tanner (01:08:02):
I yeah, you're you're
Bruce (01:08:05):
the I'm the make a
comment. As I'm looking at six
safeties in your rope. Justfollow my lead.
Tanner (01:08:12):
Review that maybe add
the word alcohol in there.
Bruce (01:08:17):
Why alcohol
is six do you bring alcohol
which by any chance?
Tanner (01:08:22):
Six pulls out his Mason
smacks them on the back of the
head.
All right. Yep, I remember itnow. Good job. Okay,
Fraser (01:08:28):
so the two of you pull
out your weapons and begin to
I'm guessing a non lethal attackon these two?
Bruce (01:08:34):
No, I'm killing this
fire.
Fraser (01:08:35):
Okay, all right. Then.
Tanner (01:08:38):
Next is do a nonlethal
by the
Bruce (01:08:40):
way. This is where I need
Fraser (01:08:43):
you both to give me a D
20. roll please. As you pull you
up and down.
Bruce (01:08:51):
Is this a deception or
anything? Like am I trying to
hide my axe straightde 2013 I got a natural one,
one. Beautiful.
Fraser (01:09:05):
So there are two things
that you guys notice. One of
them happens faster than theother. The first is that the
spell that's on you to disguiseyou. It falls from six
immediately. The other thing younotice is that the spell on
Archie wavers very hard in hisis kind of this sort of in this
(01:09:28):
glitchy half state. So at thesame time, every once in a while
you start seeing glimpses of thecoat of arms and your normal
dress and everything underneath.
So the spell is still partiallyintact, but not fully. These two
students look so caught offguard as the two of you swing go
ahead and make attack rolls addadvantage
Bruce (01:09:53):
and oh,
Tanner (01:09:54):
oh that wasn't the
attack roll. No I just revised
disguise is gone.
Fraser (01:09:59):
Your disguise is good.
On Morbark you see these twobrandish weapons and go to
strike down these two students?
Do you do anything in thismoment?
You where they're going tostrike the students?
Bruce (01:10:12):
Is that was that correct?
Yeah I'm about to murdersomebody like this is all just
True Colors
Fraser (01:10:20):
All right, hold on
outside of Wait What What
exactly did the students do thatare making them want to attack
now?
Bruce (01:10:25):
They're in my way
they're loose ends
Tanner (01:10:28):
we are Yeah, they're
loose ends
Fraser (01:10:30):
we are no witnesses type
we're liberating the
Tanner (01:10:33):
city the idea we're
being paid to get these fuckers
out of the city look,
Fraser (01:10:37):
I don't my characters
does not have skin in this game.
So I mean,
Bruce (01:10:42):
I Yeah, but just play
your character. Whatever, man.
Fraser (01:10:47):
I'm like hey, whoa
whatever's happening here I'm
one not getting involved allright. I see nothing. I'm I'm a
I'm a bystander. I see nothing.
All right.
Tanner (01:10:56):
Teen and yet another 18
year old to eight teens plus
Jesus. Yeah. Plus
Bruce (01:11:04):
four. So 22
I'm not raised so I will not be
taking rage damage. wrecked. Igot a 19 on the
Fraser (01:11:14):
Ouch.
Bruce (01:11:16):
Nine damage with my bad
luck.
Tanner (01:11:18):
Okay, damage for me.
Fraser (01:11:19):
Which Which ones do each
of you have? Who has Bret? I had
Brett?
Tanner (01:11:23):
Yeah, he has. He has
Brett with the choke out of his
shoulders. I have helped the boyhit him in the back of the head.
Fraser (01:11:29):
Okay, Brett because you
heal them for nine HP. Brett,
you clock him with your axe. Hefalls hard. Bleeding as the
force of this surprise attackcomes down on him.
Bruce (01:11:46):
He is still alive
Fraser (01:11:49):
and conscious. And he is
regaining his balance. The other
guy you hit him. And basicallythe same thing like you clock
him hard, but he quickly turnsafter the attack in is ready to
go. Go ahead everybody and giveme that initiative roll.
Tanner (01:12:13):
Four plus two, six.
Okay. Well, yes,
Bruce (01:12:19):
you should have roll.
Okay, so you'll roll a d 20. Onyour character sheet underneath
the area that says maximum hitpoints proficiency bonus and
armor class there should be abox that says initiative. It
determines the order of who goesfirst to last and combat you. If
you don't have anything thatadds bonuses to it will just add
(01:12:40):
your dexterity to this role morethan likely. Okay, so you would
just roll with the 20 and addyour dexterity modifier. And
that would be your initiativerole.
Fraser (01:12:50):
So our role is six plus
two.
So yeah, that's what your that'swhat your initiative box says.
It says plus two.
Yeah, it says plus two andinitial. Alright. So six plus
two.
Bruce (01:13:01):
Okay. All right. So,
Fraser (01:13:03):
Frasier, you
Bruce (01:13:03):
have an eight. Correct.
Six plus two?
Fraser (01:13:06):
Yep. Okay. 16. Okay.
Excellent. All right. So, sixwould you have first up in the
order? Archie, you have juststruck down I believe Brett. He
is standing and ready to attackbut incredibly blooded. He is
looking around, and you can seeit in his eyes. He seeks escape.
Bruce (01:13:28):
What do you do? I'm gonna
smack him again.
Fraser (01:13:31):
Go ahead and roll that.
Bruce (01:13:32):
I'm gonna measure this
swing and as I do, so, I'm gonna
say sorry, bruv you're in thewrong place at the wrong time.
Oof. Roll that attack.
Is a 16th That hits. That'srough.
Tanner (01:13:49):
Fucking bread. He's just
a college student.
Bruce (01:13:52):
Nine damage. How do you
kill Brett? Brett
Fraser (01:14:01):
whack All right. He he
moves to try and block your axe
with his arms. You sever hisforearm as it cuts clean through
it and digs into his ribcagewith this sunk. Brett drops to
his knees is that hole your feetback out? falls to the ground.
Super dead.
Bruce (01:14:25):
Welcome to gangsters and
goblins. Everybody.
Tanner (01:14:27):
Oh my god. All right.
Bruce (01:14:30):
Let it be okay. Like if
you were a college kid, right?
And you want to fuck around withlike, our gangbangers, this is
what happened to you prettymuch. Just what happened was
probably a gun or something
Fraser (01:14:38):
you learn or you die.
All right.
Tanner (01:14:40):
Do you do anything else?
Bruce (01:14:43):
I just look at the other
guy and I say six. Mike so he
can't talk.
Oof. Mark Mark It is now yourturn.
Fraser (01:14:54):
Again, I'm not sure who
I should be fighting here.
Tanner (01:14:57):
Don't you don't have to
fight. Yeah,
Fraser (01:14:59):
I'm not Not sure that I
need to fight like I like again,
I don't know what the history ofthis fight is. I don't know why
these people are attacking thesethese. So
Tanner (01:15:08):
just just out of
curiosity, Marquardt was not
enslaved by these wizard boys.
Where was he?
We haven't really discovered it.
It was just locked up.
Oh, I guess I shouldn't knowthat yet. So don't say Don't say
nevermind.
Bruce (01:15:21):
Also, here's a record
just to explain this to you,
Fraser initiative does not meanyou have to do anything. It's
just when you can order yourchoice. So yeah, so you don't
don't feel like you have to.
It's basically just making surethat everybody gets a turn to do
what they want to do inside ofyour your combat rounds. Yep.
Fraser (01:15:38):
So each of these rounds
is six seconds. So add on your
turn, everyone is basicallyacting simultaneously in a round
of combat. It's just saying thatyou're just faster to react than
others. And it is six secondsper round.
I keep hearing you guysmentioned the six second rule.
Yeah. Yeah. Like is this is thatmore or less like a, okay, when
(01:16:01):
you get to do something, youhave to do it. And so
Tanner (01:16:04):
if it's not doing six
seconds, it doesn't make sense
to be able to
Fraser (01:16:07):
do Yeah, like you can't,
you can't go sight Shakespeares,
you know, a chapter toShakespeare in six seconds, that
was my knife, I figured as muchas shit. But like, you know,
every attack Eve, as you getstronger and gain, like, Bruce
will gain multi attacks. Andthat just means he's getting
faster and more proficient atswinging his weapon. So within
(01:16:30):
that six seconds, at a certainpoint, he's going to be able to
swing it three times, ascompared to at level one, he
could swing it once. Soeverything that you're doing
within a turn, is six seconds.
So that really is only somethingyou need to take into account
when you're talking. Otherwise, you know, you get an action, and
a bonus action and a movement.
(01:16:51):
And then I will let you knowwhether or not you can do
anything within those scope ofthings. So you don't have to
worry about that. But if youdon't want to at this
point, my character says hardpass.
Bruce (01:17:05):
Hey, man, I agree with
you. I would have done the same.
Fraser (01:17:08):
Yeah, so who is actually
up first? Up next is the other
mage God and he will start
Bruce (01:17:18):
putting a spell together
give me one second.
I was gonna say if he walks outof my threat range. Oh, yeah,
he's
Fraser (01:17:24):
Yeah. Wait, so
Alright, so a little procedural
thing here so the other majorsof the things being attacked the
other people being attacked.
Also roll initiative. I wrotecan go different. Oh, okay. All
right. So I didn't realize thatYeah. Okay. Interesting. Okay,
Tanner (01:17:40):
all of these characters
are just characters played by
Tanner. But they had the samerole.
Fraser (01:17:44):
So basically, it's not
quite US versus Tanner, but it's
kind of US versus itis. I'm on your side. But like
you're the enemy. Yeah, yeah.
Okay.
Bruce (01:17:54):
The best way to explain
it is where we're Co Op we're
competitively cooperating tocreate an interesting story
exactly cool.
Fraser (01:18:02):
Do I want you guys to
have a good time but I'm gonna
make it difficult. Alright. arechallenging not difficult
challenging. Okay, so this otherthis other
Bruce (01:18:12):
purple robe
Fraser (01:18:14):
he begins to utter a
spell and you can start to see
this the his hands begin tobubble with this green acidic
goo, and he hurls it over at youArchie after seeing you killed
Brett. I need you to make adexterity saving throw please.
(01:18:38):
16 Oh damn,
Bruce (01:18:41):
not my modifiers not 16 I
gotta say
Fraser (01:18:43):
No Yeah, that's what
that's what I figured.
Tanner (01:18:45):
Okay
Bruce (01:18:48):
Oh, that's it. Wow, what
a
Tanner (01:18:51):
crap spill acid splashes
alright you
Fraser (01:18:56):
have this this bubble of
acid that
Tanner (01:19:01):
he's like take
take down splash what
Fraser (01:19:09):
just kind of sidestep
slowly out of the way
it's like a real shit movingbubble beam from a Bogomolov
just like
Bruce (01:19:18):
blue. Yeah, all it does
is just kind of look at the
purple robe and just grin butit's like the smile doesn't
reach his eyes.
Fraser (01:19:26):
Wow. It is a target must
succeed on dexterity saving
throw or then take damage. It'snot half damage.
Tanner (01:19:32):
It's just do or don't.
Bruce (01:19:34):
Wow. All right. I call
those No, no, I'm sorry. Okay.
Fraser (01:19:40):
So yeah, you sidestep
this and that is the end of this
guy's turn. We will move on to
Bruce (01:19:45):
six. Listen,
Will (01:19:48):
I I've already hurt you a
little bit and what what's your
name?
Tanner (01:19:54):
But But this guy seems
pretty afraid. But a Bismil yet
Will (01:20:00):
But okay, Billy,

Brett's Brett's robes
are
Bruce (01:22:17):

Fraser (01:22:18):
It's got a gash like
half a sleeve is missing. So
when you put this thing on likehalf of your one of your six
sleeves and arm forearm isshowing through it. It's got a
big gash in the side and at theneck. You know it is showing
your coat through it as well.
Perfect All right. At this pointlike I mean you know the magic
is glitching around you. You canyou can choose to dispel it if
(01:22:40):
you would like
Bruce (01:22:43):
yeah, I'm just gonna go
ahead and be done with it and
put his robe on the purpose ofhis robe is really just to shock
people they're gonna see it likeoh, you've been in combat. Yeah.
Fraser (01:22:52):

brace first interaction with
Archie's him just cold like coldmurmuring makes
Fraser (01:23:34):
people?
Bruce (01:23:36):
He goes, Wow.
Tanner (01:23:40):
Oh, okay. So six at that
point goes well, oh,
Bruce (01:23:45):
I don't worry six. You're
not responsible for that one. I
am. Your client conscious can beclear.
Tanner (01:23:50):
I know. I thought you
were gonna purposely missing
though. It's It's okay, Archie.
That's neither here nor there.
We have a job to do. And I thinkI have a good intuition. And I
think I have a pretty good plan.
Bruce (01:24:03):
All right, let's hear it.
Okay,
Tanner (01:24:05):
I'll walk over to the
guy. Now.
Bruce (01:24:10):

Tanner (01:24:12):
When I say the guy I
mean, Fraser, Mark bark. Mark.
You're gonna get his name downnow. Yeah,
Bruce (01:24:19):

Margo, Mark, Mark, Mark,
Mark, Mark. Um, you were
following us? Correct.
Fraser (01:24:30):
Following is, this has a
connotation to it. I was
coincidentally headed in thesame direction.
Will (01:24:38):
Can I Can I ask you why
you're headed to the manor then?
Fraser (01:24:44):
Um, well, because I was
following you
Bruce (01:24:55):

that makes sense. up.
Fraser (01:25:01):
Look, I have business at
the manor and I just need to add
that I need to attend to and youjust happen to be moving in the
same direction. Trust me. Okay.
Tanner (01:25:08):
What was the what was
the thing there? somebody's

Bruce (01:25:20):
Here. I need to I was
already writing how to get his
control stuff.
Will (01:25:24):
Does your business have
anything to do with dorm loud?
Never heard of him? Okay, solisten, we're headed to the
manor. Do you want to into themanor?
Fraser (01:25:34):
I would love to. Yes.
I'm very curious as to what goeson there.
Will (01:25:38):
So I specifically want to

I have a plan. Would you bewilling to help us? Maybe just
for a little bit. But of coursewhat can I do? Okay, you're our
prisoner now. Oh,
Fraser (01:25:50):
this is a very different
scenario. I think I will be
leaving Nother way
Will (01:25:54):
we listen. Once we get in.
You can choose to help us rightaway. We're not going to stop
you. We have no qualms with you.
We don't have any intention.
You're not with the wizards.
Right. The the quote, fellas.
Fraser (01:26:10):
I am like the I don't
like the term prisoner.
Bruce (01:26:14):
Okay.
Fraser (01:26:16):
You for many reasons.
No, you would just do just saythat. Okay,
Tanner (01:26:21):
that's that's fair.
Okay. Archie doesn't like iteither. He went to jail for a
long time. Archie. How long doyou go to jail for?
Fraser (01:26:31):
Oh, no, I don't
remember. Wow. Just giving this
guy's business away. Okay. Hi.
Bruce (01:26:36):
AJ is a bit literal.
And maybe a bit slow. Oh, it'spossible.
Will (01:26:44):
I've never thought about
it that way. But yeah, I do
speak pretty slow.
Bruce (01:26:48):
i Oh, well. It'd be fair.
I did bonk him on the head about14 times. Oh,
Will (01:26:54):
yeah, it explained if you
hit me too hard in the head, I
get reset.
Fraser (01:26:59):
I bonk him in the head.
I have a
Tanner (01:27:00):
helmet now for that
sorry.
Fraser (01:27:03):
But before you do that,
I do want to mention this is the
first time so once that spellwent away this glamoured version
of six he did look like a humanhe noted the blue glowing blue
eyes before but it kind of lookscoming from humanized. Now you
fully see him. It is a metallicbeing that it is this this?
(01:27:27):
Well. Will you describe yourcharacter? That's not my job.
Tanner (01:27:31):
I'm six foot five big
metallic. Well, I mean, I still
have my disguise on so it's amask. Do the six foot five
inches tall. Actually, I'm fullycovered at this point. So yeah,
you know, it's just big dude.
Fraser (01:27:47):
Big robes, robes of
Roderick blacksmiths, aprons,
blacksmiths, gloves. Andbasically a guy who asked I
asked about the mustache isthicker,
Bruce (01:27:57):
and it has cracks my
character.
Fraser (01:28:00):
My character kind of
looks six up and down and just
kind of in an inquisitive waysays six. From whence do you
hail? You seem like a very noknock on his chest and hear loud
don't come. Sturdy character.
Will (01:28:15):
Oh, ah.
Bruce (01:28:16):
I have no clue.
Very good.
Will (01:28:20):
Yes. It's kind of like you
mister. Everywhere. Okay, maybe
maybe prisoner was not the rightterm. How about you accompany us
and pretend that to be captive?
Is that another?
Bruce (01:28:38):
How will this further
your mission? Okay. Well, we
Will (01:28:43):
found there are people
locked down in the cellar in the
manner of we need to create adistraction so that we can get
these people. Archie. What's theword?
Bruce (01:28:54):
The fuck out of here?
Yeah, there you go. You'restarting to get it?
Fraser (01:28:59):
Are you fucking with me?
No, I'm very good atdistraction.
Tanner (01:29:06):
You can ask Archie I'm
very literal. He says that all
the time. Not quite sure what itmeans.
Fraser (01:29:13):
You talk like someone
who just learned what the word
fuck means.
Bruce (01:29:17):
Yeah, there you go.
Alright, fine. Someone's able toput in words if I'm being
Tanner (01:29:21):
completely honest. I
have no clue what it means.
Fraser (01:29:24):
I am good at diversion.
Let's let's distract someone ifit will help further your
mission. Perhaps it will alsoassist me in mind. Okay,
Tanner (01:29:33):
I put on the other
purple robe. They come with us.
Mark bark.
Bruce (01:29:39):
Do you have a surname?
Will (01:29:41):
I might be able to look
you up in a book one day.
Bruce (01:29:44):
I I do have a surname.
Yes. Gotcha.
Fraser (01:29:57):
Sure you time will tell
Bruce (01:30:02):
This is definitely
another criminal like Geez Just
Tanner (01:30:05):
look at I look at Archie
time will tell that's a really
weird sir ask around
Fraser (01:30:09):
people know me
Tanner (01:30:11):
that's also weird
Bruce (01:30:12):
six eight he doesn't want
to tell you
Will (01:30:14):
oh yeah so that's not your
surname always refer to him
Bruce (01:30:19):
as my my bargain leader
be
Will (01:30:23):
very nice to Mark Mark
that'll do pig jesus
Bruce (01:30:31):
fucking love it.
Will (01:30:32):
I am not a farm animal.
Tanner (01:30:35):
Oh, all right.
Fraser (01:30:39):
We're done with that.
So you guys have you'veformulated a plan both of you
put on these purple robes andyou've set Mark bark up to be
your foe prisoner to try and getyou in and get you down to the
cellar. You guys make your wayout of this alleyway and back
over to the marble steps andbegin ascending. The blue cloaks
(01:31:01):
at this point are kind oflooking at you strange because
they they did take note beforeof multiple people and then
hiding off into an alleyway. Butnow you have this other guy that
you're coming up with one ofthem as you approach the top
step begins to walk forward andraises a hand and goes to begin
(01:31:26):
speaking to you. But as he does, you can feel this energy pulsing
outwards from the center of thematter before you It washes over
you and you can feel this poweremanating from within.
Tanner (01:31:49):
Oh you son of a bitch.
We didn't have a chance to stopit.
Fraser (01:31:52):
And the two blue robes
look getting in front of you.
And they look down at you andjust wave you forward. And one
of them saysthat's time. He is almost here.
