you with

you can get me some fucking alcohol and I hit him
with my accent

Tanner (00:58):
what you're able to really see what that six is that
there are three rather longtables that are turned over on
their side and positioned aroundthe big freaking green bubble in
the center. And that there's afew blue robe students behind
each of them as so many dorm Laudorm loud the revenue there's no

(01:20):
way of getting him back he's nolonger on this plane.

Bruce (01:24):
Well apparently there is proof because that's what
they're doing out there in thatcourtyard.

Tanner (01:29):
All right, you guys walk away and because you never know
I

Bruce (01:34):
turned my friend I jumped through the window

Tanner (01:37):

Welcome. Welcome to the session, which I am finally
calling. Get on board with theplan because we're just fucking
doing the damn thing.

Will (03:29):
catchy name? What's the catchy name again? Say it one
more time. Give me Give me agood

Tanner (03:36):
you heard it. Don't try it. Don't try and be like, cute
and be like, Oh, he's saying itagain? No. Yeah, but

Fraser (03:42):
I want to hear twice.
Yes,

Tanner (03:43):
I would like Oh, it does. It's not as effective.

Will (03:45):
It was so good. Bruce.
Well, yes, I would say Bruceagrees, please. I

Bruce (03:51):
mean, I'm already gonna die this session anyway, because
I jumped out of windows. So it'sfine.

Tanner (03:55):
Fine. The title is get on with get along with the plan
because it's happening withWithout you the sequel. You
added if you if you think thatthat's the first thing that I
said it's not it's exactly theI'll go back and look exactly
the

Fraser (04:10):
same. Don't worry, it's exactly the same because we'll
find out. It's okay. It's

Tanner (04:13):
exactly the same because glass breaking noise, slow
motion, large man and a burgundysuit barreling out of an already
broken window. These lush velvetcurtains billowing beside him as
he falls down in slow motion. XX taken out is your x in your
hands. Yes, Archie. Okay, Xpulled out as you're flying out

(04:36):
this window. Oh, you go intorage as you're falling down.
Well, that's probably goodbecause you're about

Bruce (04:44):
to my fingers and focus my coat of arms to grab all of
my hand axes and hold them outbutton anyway.

Tanner (04:52):
Uh huh. All right. So Oh, Doh, a few things. A few
things happen. So what ishappening is from the last
episode, Archie has jumped outof the window. As soon as you
do. You snap your fingers whichfills all of the sleeves with
these spectral hands. So now youhave six sleeves filled with

(05:13):
arms, two of them yours. Thefour other hands, grab to your
back and pull out your hand axesare throwing axes, hand axes,
and you reach out with yourregular ass boring arms and grab
your new great axe this wornmassive felling axe and you can

(05:36):
feel the blood. You hear thatringing as blood goes to your
ears as the rage fills you andyou begin plummeting towards the
ground this menacing, fullybladed decked out dapper guy. So
a few things happen as you dothis as as you make your

(05:56):
entrance into this courtyard, you get a quick view of the
things that are surrounding you.
And then some then like all theactions are going to happen.
Basically what you see in frontof you. And let me let me bring
up my clear picture of this.

Bruce (06:13):
I want to point out that I changed when I raged, I used
the tail.

Tanner (06:21):
Oh, you did the tail.
Okay, cool. So yeah, along withthe X is tail sprouts from your
rear end. Very, very, very cute.

Will (06:29):
Explain what to what is tail do

Bruce (06:31):
I now have a basically a giant Wolf's tail which allows
us a reaction to Ha. Is itblack? Yeah. Okay. No, it's us
reaction to you know, it's no,it's piebald It's okay.
Multicolored, multicolored.
Husky Joe.

Will (06:52):
Yeah. All right. Yeah,

Tanner (06:53):
I know. I got I got it.
Fancy Pants. Is that extra AC?

Bruce (06:57):
Yes. Okay, so um, thanks.
Fine, is precisely.

Tanner (07:02):
Yeah, have you figured that out? We'll do it when, when
things start happening. Okay, sowhat you notice as you jump out
this window is that this area isabout 80 by 80 feet. It is a
square courtyard. The firstthing you notice, just like Mark
Barker had seen before, is themassive glowing green bubble in

(07:25):
the center, which is about 20feet in diameter. Inside you see
five red robes, studentschanting around a jagged white
stone that's about the size ofyour head. Next, you notice the
320 foot long tables that areturned over and positioned
around the magical shield facingthe door that the main door that

(07:46):
leads into this courtyard, whichyou are falling down above where
you aim to be able to, you know, spin 180 and get that hole
surrounding it. But hey, descriptive words are written in
certain order. So there you go,you have that to each table
provides two blue robe studentshave covered so behind each of
these tables, there are two bluerobes. You also take note of the

(08:09):
four large oak trees, each nearthe corners of the courtyard.
Finally, you spot for studentsin green robes standing on the
roof. And I guess I'm usingstudents because it kind of
humanizes them. But for Nick'sinheritors, all of these are
known as the next inheritorsstill students. But you got

(08:31):
that. So four of them are on theroofs, each are positioned above
the middle segment of the fourwalls surrounding the courtyard.
They currently have their armsraised towards the green bubble.
That is what you get, whichshould be the whole thing. And
it is because I made it up it isthe whole thing. All right. Was

(08:51):
that a clear enough picture foreveryone?

Bruce (08:54):
Yes, crystal. So students in the Bubble

Tanner (08:58):
bubble. Five students, three students at each 30 foot
table with blue rose students ineach two with 302. Okay, all
right. Sorry. So that's a totalof six blue

Will (09:07):
robes of trees on the corners. Yep.

Bruce (09:10):
Four trees on the corners changing around

Fraser (09:12):
a jagged stone as big as your head. Yep, this white

Bruce (09:16):
point, he says to students on the roof for
students

Tanner (09:20):
on the rooms each on the long side. So not here, the
corners each on the flat sides.
Okay. All right. So the bluestudents are very aware of you
and they are the only ones whoseattention is currently turned
towards you. You think as you'recoming down and kind of going
into this rage and everythingsort of slows down for you as
you get into attack mode.

(09:42):
Everyone else everyone here hastheir job. You were told before
blue protects green is doing thebubble read is doing the
summoning Those are theircurrent jobs as you enter this
area. So as you jump down, a fewthings happen. Fire bolts or arc
wanting to come towards you. SoI'm gonna go ahead and roll

(10:02):
those attacks Don't worry allthose dice were just me pouring
it out so you're not gettingsix. I know you're getting 6020s
But you know, right.

Will (10:14):
Hoping hoping for bad rolls. Me too.

Bruce (10:19):
I hope I hope the other people in my party are currently
moving with fervor towards thecourtyard data. Yeah,

Will (10:26):
can we do that?

Tanner (10:28):
Yeah, okay, so as this is well, let's let's get through
this because this is all thething that surprised even you
guys. So once these attacks andonce that he hits, we're going
to discuss what you guys aregoing to do. But you guys, you
guys go ahead and discuss whatyour plan is as of seeing this
and remembering that this issomething that is happening as
he is diving out the window. SoMark bark and six. What are your

(10:51):
current thoughts?

Will (10:54):
I gonna go ahead and tell you six goes. Holy shit. Archie.
We gotta go and he bolts

Fraser (11:04):
I'm gonna glance I'm gonna glance around with a
concern look on my face and goesdo we have to?

Will (11:12):
Six is not responding.
He's gone.

Tanner (11:15):
Are you also jumping?

Fraser (11:17):
A tread in the direction that he did?

Tanner (11:20):
Wait, which are you going down the stairs? Are you
going up

Will (11:22):
stairs? Six knows how far it is. And he knows that he is
we need all this help is six ismine. So he is going to run as
fast as he can. Sprinting ifwe're in initiative, but he's
running downstairs out thething.

Tanner (11:40):
Okay, so Harlan realizing what you're doing nods
without saying a word and beginsto lead the way so you're not
trying to search through thisplace. Dope. Alright, so these
fire bolts are coming towards Ibelieve three hit. So let me
double check with you. That'sgoing to be 1917 and 17.

Bruce (12:04):
Okay, yeah, those will hit. Okay. I'm going to use my
reaction on the 19 roll becauseit's the highest. Okay.
Actually, no, I'm going to do iton one of the seven teens.
Nevermind.

Tanner (12:19):
Okay, the potential potentially going to make it
miss? Yeah, that's okay. Give methat's,

Bruce (12:25):
I mean, the tail just says attack. So I'm gonna assume
it's any kind of attack. Andyeah, so

Tanner (12:30):
I'm gonna I think favor flavor wise, it's like, you
know, maybe it helps you blockand avoid stuff, but I'm gonna
say what it's doing is it'sgiving you that extra
maneuverability and air to like, shift your center of gravity. So

Will (12:47):
just out of curiosity, does it not increase your AC? So
wouldn't it affect multipleattacks?

Bruce (12:53):
It specifically says it increases your AC for that
attack.

Will (12:57):
Okay, it's playing by the rules. Gotta love it.

Tanner (13:03):
Alright, so. So what does that do for you?

Bruce (13:08):
So I get to roll a DA and then add whatever it is to my AC
for that attack. So and I got aforce that makes my AC 18. So
yes, narrowly not get hit in theface and get

Tanner (13:22):
hit by two. Okay, great.
So, yes, you you use your tailto kind of shift your momentum
and one of these fire boltsalong with the other to splash
against the wall behind you. Andtwo of them do connect as you
have to lean into one in orderto avoid the other you take 14
damage from those Well,

Bruce (13:51):
I was hoping they were not going to roll that Hi. How
you looking? And not good?

Tanner (13:57):
Okay, all right.

Bruce (14:01):
I was also hoping on the intimidation factor of the fact
that I'm a monster with a bunchof axes but

Tanner (14:07):
yeah, I'll give you I'll give you something as soon as as
soon as you land which you arequickly approaching the ground.
It's not gonna

Bruce (14:15):
matter if I took that much damage from fire bolts
unless you roll really shitty onthis fall damage. I'm going
unconscious.

Tanner (14:21):
I got one okay

Will (14:29):
well that worked out

Tanner (14:31):
all right. What pose do you take when you land superhero
landing?

Bruce (14:37):
No, just like like just a fucking monstrous like landing
with like the actual myshoulders one hand all these
other fucking arms are hand-axesslightly missing. Bloody very,
very bloody. All okay.

Tanner (14:56):
So so what what you look like is Just this singed,
enraged, black bearded, grizzled, multi axe wielder with
a tail, and you land outside, you wipe the blood from your
lip. And you look out at thesefools hiding behind these tables

(15:19):
as they duck back down. Mark,Mark six and Harlan, you guys
are making your way down thestairs, going through hallways,
and you see the door that youneed to make it out of. But
first Archie has a moment to dowhat you want to do, and try and
say what you want to say. Andthen I'll give you what the how

(15:41):
this is gonna affect this group.

Bruce (15:43):
So okay, so Archie lands with his axe, he's gonna like
just give a quick, cursoryglance around the courtyard. And
he's just gonna be like, it'stime for the Black Wolf to hunt.
And the face to will beplentiful.

Tanner (15:57):
All right. With how you look. And the you know how you
shout this out in your rage. Youknow, it's not as clear of your
as your typical speeches. It ismore, God is kind of the point.
Yeah, I mean, it's more lupine.
Right? Yeah. So you guys insidehere, this. So now you know that

(16:17):
Archie survived his fall, andthe onslaught of potential fire
bolts. And these students. Sothe six are certainly paying
attention to you. Everyone elsecontinues on with what they were
doing. I want you to go aheadand roll intimidation at

(16:39):
advantage because of yoursituation and because the
badassery. And then I've gotsomething else for you to do.
But we'll do it after I figureout what your role is. So

Will (16:55):
I gotta imagine that some of these dudes are like, Yo,
bro, this was like an extracredit. Like I'm good. There's
going home to mom.

Bruce (17:04):
All right, it is a 18 total.

Tanner (17:12):
Very good. Alright. What happens is this, this battlecry
that you've let out resonateswithin this square, and reaches
up towards the blue sky. Thestudents that are behind the
table, the three tables, the sixblue robe, mix inheritors, of

(17:34):
those six, three of them sitdown and brace their backs
against the wall. So that'sgoing to be two on the far right
table and one closest to them.
Two of them. Look at each other.

(17:56):
And these are on the far lefttable. The two of them look at
each other. And they run to theback door. Like they're like so
they begin running past the biggreen bubble.

Will (18:09):
Just grew a tail like I have so good.

Tanner (18:13):
One of them in the center is prepared and still
ready to attack. So three arecurrently they won't be able to
attack next round. One is readyto attack. So that is the
situation.

Will (18:28):
ones on the roof. They can't

Tanner (18:31):
hyper hyper concentrated on what they're doing. Yeah,
they

Bruce (18:35):
got hyper focus.

Will (18:36):
Okay, so they're doing stuff on the roof.

Tanner (18:39):
They're actively doing stuff what you can gather based
on my description is that theblues were there as defense. So
currently you are have you havebrought that down from six to
four. And three of them aregoing to be skipped in the next
turn or they could still runthey just will not attack. Okay,

(19:00):
right. Gotcha. If they were in aposition to do something
defensively, then that's finebut because their sort of
concentration as they're tryingto conjure magic spells is
broken. They will not be castingspells. Okay, might try and
melee attack you but it's abunch of fucking nerdy students,
so I wouldn't really worry toomuch about that.

Bruce (19:15):
Yeah. Okay,

Tanner (19:17):
at this point, I do need everyone to roll initiative.

Will (19:22):
I need a good roll here. I haven't had a good initiative
roll in the whole podcast. Ithink I need a go

Fraser (19:29):
for you get my luck because I rolled a one.

Will (19:31):
Oh shit. Ooh, I did not get your luck, sir.

Fraser (19:36):
Well, me either.

Bruce (19:40):
Who? non-natural 20

Tanner (19:43):
Hell yeah, dude.

Will (19:46):
Yes, I wrote a four.

Tanner (19:49):
Okay, cool.
Show everyone else we got. Wegot Archie at a non net 20 What
did Mark bark have It one nicedude. What is your you know
what? No matter,

Fraser (20:06):
okay? It doesn't matter

Tanner (20:07):
you're not last. Oh, I'm not? Nope. Oh, okay. Top of the
order is Archie, you havelanded, you have made this
shout. And what you have is anabandoned table over on the left
we'll go ahead and say thatthose two already started their
writing motion with what youhave. You have two in the

(20:29):
middle, the one on the left isprepared to attack the one on
the right has braced himselfagainst the back of the table
and the two on the other tableon the right to have both brace
themselves at the bottom of thetable too. So you have one
that's ready to attack you asthe left side of the middle
table. What do you do?

Bruce (20:47):
Yeah, I'm just gonna go take cover then.

Tanner (20:50):
Okay, you sprint over to the left table. You move
yourself around some rose bushesand other nice landscaping that
rich people have topiaries evenand you slide in you and your
five axes. Slide in behind thistable it is angled enough to

(21:12):
where one of the blue robe Nicksinheritors would have to move to
hit you. Or the what guys on theroof have clear line of sight to
everyone who's down here on thecourtyard. Okay, they're
concentrating on their task.
Okay,

Bruce (21:27):
I would like to reserve an action to handaxe the first
guy who tries to move to hit me.
up when we do

Tanner (21:36):
you can also just say the first guy who pops his head
up over the table. Do you wantto do that?

Bruce (21:42):
Yeah, that's fine. I just assumed Yeah, that's fine, too.
I assumed he'd be moving so itwas gonna be like, Oh, he's
prepping a spell. He movesaround, and I whack him to try
to fuck his decision up. Butyeah, I'm cool. Yeah, okay,
cool.

Tanner (21:53):
That makes sense to me.
All right. Sick so you youprepare that action to toss that
axe when that ass makes itselfvisible. Next

Bruce (22:02):
first enemy let me make that clear.

Tanner (22:03):
Yep. The Reds continue there. conjuring the blues turn
is up next man. You guys didroll poorly. The three that are
intimidated. brace themselvesfor this round. Next round they
will be prepared to attack withspells. The one that was ready

(22:29):
to attack bolts over the tableand combs to position himself to
hit you.

Bruce (22:36):
Go then yeah, that'll trigger an eye. Swinging MC
Swinerton

Will (22:41):
dude, quit with this handaxe please and just
absolutely cleave his head off.

Bruce (22:47):
It's not a crit so I wish it was but it's not

Will (22:51):
you know you can tender can't see your dice you know you
can lie.

Fraser (22:57):
Brewster has been rolling a lot of net 20

Bruce (23:01):
Nother product.

Will (23:03):
I don't get it is like this dice can't roll anything
else.

Bruce (23:09):
I got a 17 hit

Tanner (23:12):
that'll hit. As he pops out of cover. You use one of
your main chains to pass up toyour normal hand. One of your
throwing axes. And you launch itat this guy and it hits him. Go
ahead, roll that damage.

Bruce (23:26):
10 Total damage.

Tanner (23:28):
Wow. Nice. Okay. All right. So this guy pops around
the corner and does get an angleon you. He hits that that
handaxe hits him in theshoulder. He reaches around and
launches another firewalltowards that is going to be a 15

Bruce (23:52):
Yeah hits me and I can't do anything reaction. I'd have
cover. I can't I Well, yeah.
Yeah, we're in another turn now.
That's 100 We

Tanner (24:03):
are in another turn. No,

Bruce (24:05):
I keep forgetting that.
It's while I'm enraged. Not forone reaction.

Tanner (24:10):
Oh, yeah. Okay, gotcha.
Yep.

Bruce (24:11):
Okay, so yeah, I'll go and do that. I mean, the lowest
I can get as one which makes ita tie.

Tanner (24:16):
Yep. get higher than one.

Bruce (24:20):
What am I UCS? 19 for this attack set? Yes.

Tanner (24:23):
Excellent. So you are able to brace yourself back
against this table as theFirebolt passes right in front
of your face. singeing the tipsof your black beard. But doesn't
hurt you. You just got a freebeard trim. Smells a little bit

(24:44):
though. No.

Bruce (24:48):
I was hoping you did me a favor at

Tanner (24:49):
least before he killed now it's it's a little
disappointing. All right. Thatwill be the end of his turn as
he jumps back over onto theother side. The other blues like
They said now have regainedtheir composure and are prepared
to attack in the next round. Wewill now move on to six. You are

(25:10):
rushing right behind commanderhorn and he looks back at you
and says through the door

Will (25:22):
through the door

Tanner (25:25):
the two of you bash into it swinging these great double
doors open the light outsideblinds for a moment but not
enough to keep you from doingwhat you need to do. What you
see as you come out here is thisblue robe jump back over this
this bench and you can see thethe movements of three others.

(25:46):
So you of course also see thebig green bubble the five red
students in the middle and youkind of get a view of three of
the greens up on the roofs.
Okay. Oh do you do?

Will (25:59):
You did not mention I can see Archie. Are you? Oh yeah,
you

Tanner (26:03):
can make 100% more.

Will (26:06):
Good. Now, how far am I from Archie?

Tanner (26:09):
You are 20 feet from Archie.

Bruce (26:14):
As Archie tears the door open and sees them he goes he
just starts howling because he'sin a battle rage.

Will (26:24):
That's my best friend.
Okay, how far am I from thebubble and the red cloaks?

Tanner (26:32):
You're 40 feet from the bubble.

Will (26:35):
How far am I from the middle table

Tanner (26:39):
20 feet okay, all right.

Will (26:42):
So here's what I did. This is that that freakin orb you
gave me is about to come in. Soclutch I'm gonna use a spell
called prayer of healing sixliving creatures within 30 feet
of me I'm gonna give themfrickin 2d eight plus seven HP
baby let's go whoo. So

Bruce (27:01):
for the record if you for spells like that he can choose
not to use it on somebody.

Will (27:06):
Oh, yeah. You don't have to do it for I'm doing me Horam
I'm doing everybody that if ourI don't know farms actually
missing HP but if he is Harlan, whatever his name is that guy.
Yeah. Hora. Actually,

Tanner (27:19):
I don't know if he does harem anime. Okay, all right,
guys.

Will (27:25):
So everybody is going to gain a nine plus seven hit
points. 16 hit points. Everybodygets at six. C and Archie kind
of pinned down with for thoseguys standing there. 60s is

(27:46):
gonna run to Archie. He's gonnarun over the RG sup buddy?

Bruce (27:50):
Hey, brothers. I fucking party in it.

Will (27:53):
Sure is. I don't know if I like this type of party.

Tanner (27:58):
Okay, did you use the Prolift power? Pro power
personal power was that is lastthat is. Okay. You already use
it last time. Okay. I thoughtyou used it just then. Okay. No,
no, I use action. All right. Howmany? What's everyone as far as
HP right now? After that

Fraser (28:16):
full is shipped? 24

Bruce (28:18):
nice. 16

Tanner (28:20):
nice.

Will (28:21):
No, I'm full. I'm full help, baby.

Bruce (28:23):
What do you give me? You gave me 1616

Will (28:28):
Nine plus seven. No, no,

Bruce (28:29):
I'm sorry. 16. Add to HP.
So I was like really lucky that.
Yeah, that guy didn't hit me.

Fraser (28:38):
What a sweet loving moment between six and Archie.

Will (28:42):
Feels good.

Bruce (28:43):
I'm howling like a wolf because I'm literally fucking
half insane right now. Withbattle. Yeah, fucking lust.

Tanner (28:49):
Yeah, this thing when he said about party, you notice
that he like his eyes are prettyfucking bloodshot. He's bloody
as hell and is his teeth are alittle sharper.
It just goes with the aesthetic.
I think about

Will (29:04):
this is not the first time six is seen in France. Yeah, no.
Yeah, he knows what it do.

Bruce (29:10):
Yeah, I definitely feel like at this point, his rage is
becoming a little supernatural.
Yeah, it's

Tanner (29:15):
certainly Ferrell. It's Archie Farrell. You're

Will (29:17):
looking pretty sweet. You ready to kick some ass?

Bruce (29:25):
Hey, I was six fucking learning.

Tanner (29:29):
All right. You too, are hunkered down behind this long,
very nice table. I should addthese are certainly from the
dining hall. You can tell by themahogany. All right, Mark,
mahogany Mark bark. It is nowyour turn, sir.

Fraser (29:49):
All right, well, we're gonna do what we're best at and
elders blast the way so thereare there's one guy that's
already been attacking right andthen to have are three other
guys.

Tanner (30:01):
Yeah that the two have gotten down below cover they be
a little bit more difficult tohit the one that is prepared and
just jump back over the side hasnot gotten down all the way he
does have half cover so it willadd to his AC. So it'll be more
difficult to hit but he is otherthan the guy on guys on the roof
seems like you're one of youronly options. Alright, let's

Fraser (30:21):
get him Kamehameha that guy.

Tanner (30:22):
All right, go ahead and roll that for me.

Fraser (30:26):
It's a 19 plus, plus three. Committee.

Tanner (30:31):
That's a 22. Yeah. Holy shit. Yeah, that hits so as he
dives over this as six is doinghis thing. You hit this guy with
this purple bolt right in theass as he's jumping over the
other side. Go ahead. Roll itback. Oh, sure.

Fraser (30:52):
That's the three. Three plus

Tanner (30:54):
three plus you couldn't you couldn't you can't just get
it three. Is it three plusthree?

Fraser (31:01):
Yes, it is. Yeah.

Tanner (31:02):
Okay, great. Yeah, that his his cheap cheeks claps so
loud. You know that he isbloodied?

Will (31:10):
Bro. That's gonna sound we're gonna

Fraser (31:12):
have a good sound effect. They're

Bruce (31:13):
gonna use the high five sound. No, no, it's

Fraser (31:16):
gonna be different.

Will (31:17):
Um, just as a side note, Kamehameha is copywritten so
it's McKay a Kea. So Oh, I

Fraser (31:25):
gotcha. Yeah,

Will (31:26):
it's that was a good joke I've been trying to save for
like, McCain

Fraser (31:31):
was so clever. Well, I'm glad you helped McCain. Okay.

Will (31:33):
Yep, yep, yep.

Tanner (31:35):
Okay, just just in different

Fraser (31:38):
ways. It's Yes, it will be in stupid. Let's go. All
right. Yeah,

Tanner (31:43):
the joke is so dumb. It doesn't make sense.

Bruce (31:45):
I got it. I got it.

Tanner (31:47):
I didn't I must be dumb.
Alright. We are now at thegreens. They continue to have
their hands outstretched towardsthe green bubble.

Fraser (31:59):
The like roof ones.

Tanner (32:00):
Those are the ones on the roof for on it.

Fraser (32:02):
Okay, cool. Again, my diagram correctly.

Tanner (32:04):
Nice. All right, Archie.
We're back at the top of theturn order. You're feeling loads
better. The blood is now crustyon your lip and no longer
pouring out. A Taner? Yes.

Bruce (32:18):
Can I roll an athletics check to dive over the fucking
table and then hit somebody withmy axe?

Tanner (32:23):
You 100% can

Bruce (32:25):
cool I'm gonna do that

Tanner (32:26):
with my eggs. You go to with your you're launching your
whole axe.

Bruce (32:33):
I'm running over to the table. The other table oh, we're
the guy I just hit with the handaxe is I'm gonna leave over that
table land and I'm gonna fuckhis world. That's my goal. Yeah,

Tanner (32:46):
yeah. Okay, go ahead and give me that athletics check
please. As you run over andvault over the table.

Bruce (32:54):
I got a 16 on the die says 21 Total athletics.

Tanner (32:57):
Yep. Okay, so you, you leap over this table. And as you
come over the side you see thisblue robe Nick's inheritor look
up towards you. His eyes widenedas he's holding his butt cheeks
that were just so far

Bruce (33:17):
off the fucking terrible stupid I might not hit this was
my audition. That's 14 hit.

Tanner (33:26):
Yes. Okay. Yes it does.
So as you jump over this thisdude who is just wearing cloth
robes is very much not agileenough nor armored enough to
resist your strike go ahead andshow me that damage please

Bruce (33:45):
11 No to 13

Tanner (33:48):
He has been felled by this athletic jump over a table
as you dive forward towards himin this frenzy you strike him
down

Bruce (33:56):
the IDI did is there there's another guy behind this
table right there is

Tanner (34:00):
another guy behind this table.

Bruce (34:01):
Okay, well first of all, I ducked I don't like crouch or
ducks so the other two can't getlike a straight beat on me.

Tanner (34:09):
You're on this thing they have a clear shot of you.
Okay, cool.

Bruce (34:12):
How much movement or how much movement did it take me to
get myself over that?

Tanner (34:16):
I'm going to just say it's half your movement to get
over I call I eat myself backover okay.

Bruce (34:22):
And then I but before I do I just poked my eyes over the
table at the other guy and I gonext

Tanner (34:30):
i Listen listeners are probably get on me they were
like I can't do two athleticchecks in one thing but I'm
gonna I'm gonna allow you to doit. So give me another athletics
check this time in order to getback over quickly enough I want
you to make it at disadvantage.
This particular one since you'redoing do it twice.

Bruce (34:45):
Okay, well, it's a 14

Tanner (34:47):
that disadvantage now Yeah, dude. Okay, you jump back
over and you brace yourself backagainst the table. So you're
Yeah, well, you're not withyou're not with six. You are
just on the other side of thetable that you were just on. So
you've just brace yourself youcan see six so yeah welcome back
we'll be fine.

Will (35:05):
Instead of that instead of the welcome back is just a wave
six is like wait, okay?
Enthusiastically

Bruce (35:12):
all right so you aren't you just hold just acts over his
head and starts like, pushing itup and down like a psychopathic

Tanner (35:18):
bucolic legacy sand person.

Bruce (35:20):
Yeah, exactly. That's exactly what I was thinking. But
imagine a goblin instead of allright.

Tanner (35:27):
All right. So you've raised yourself. Most these guys
are gonna have a difficult timetrying to hit you from here. All
right, now we're at commanderHoran, who is is going to rush
forward and slammed back upagain. Against the same table
with you Archie nod to you andwhat he's going to do is he's

(35:49):
going to stand over the tablewith his long sword and stab
downward. The guy that's

Will (35:55):
that's that's real funny sounding.

Bruce (36:02):
I mean, cover is not average helpful when you're in
melee range.

Tanner (36:06):
Yep. All right. He is definitely going to hit him
aren't you? Bad bad beautifulbastard. Just Just FYI, I don't
do DM PCs. So let me let me justcheck something real quick. But

(36:30):
you guys ask them to help andyou hear?

Will (36:33):
Oh, horns horns like a staple to the Black Wolf club.

Tanner (36:38):
The gray brigade is gonna be it's gonna be a pink,
pink dance. All right.
Okay, a hiring stabs for hislong sword pierces into this

(36:59):
blue robe, Nick's inheritor whotakes a sizable amount of
damage?

Will (37:08):
How he looked though,

Tanner (37:10):
you don't know you can't see him from here.

Bruce (37:13):
I looked through the crack in where the tables meet.
And I go, I told you you arenext.

Tanner (37:22):
Yeah, his cheeks remain uncapped, but he's got the face
as if they were. Alright.
That'll be hard as he ducks backdown below. The table looks at
you Archie. And just stoic facenods and we will move on to the
reds. They continue they'resummoning in the center at this

(37:44):
point. What you I guess at thispoint, the only person that
notices this is Mark bark whatyou see from the center from
your point of view, becauseyou're the only one that
crouched behind the table isthey are now moving around in a
circle around this stone. Andthe you could see sort of this

(38:05):
this glow around the jaggedwhite stone in the center. But
that will end their turn and wewill move on to Blue B and blue
see which are the draft last tworemaining blues here. The first
one retreats back to the othertable because there is space

(38:32):
between you guys and you'recrouched down no attacks of
opportunity. But he postshimself up on the other side
with the other two blues and hereleases an attack at you
Morbark this bolt you could seehis arm is unsteady as he has
just been talked to talk down tobuy by a crazy barbarian in a

(38:56):
suit. So this Firebolt missesyou completely see will pop up
as well but blue robe see verycreative names have given these
guys he will also now seeingwhere his friend tossed a
fireball try and hit you as wellMarquardt that one will connect

(39:16):
out and you are hit for fivefire damage as the fire bolt
connects with you. That means weare now on to six six you are
posted up on your own table tothe table next to you. Archie
and Commander hard behind youout of cover. Mark bark. Okay,

(39:38):
all right.

Will (39:42):
So six. I'm guessing the green guys have on the on the
roof. They are are they within60 feet of me is one of them.
Yes, yes.

Tanner (40:02):
So they would be 40 feet from the center just up higher
but we assume since we don't dohypotony nooses hypotony High
pot I pot in any since we don'tdo high pot in any yeah you get
there only 40 feet away. Okay.
Oh no know what stupid bullshitare you gonna pull? It's either
gonna be wildly effective orit's gonna kill

Fraser (40:26):
incredibly dumb.

Bruce (40:27):
Yeah. Or it's gonna kill one of his party members. It's
one or the other. There's no inbetween.

Will (40:32):
All right, so the green guy that I can see this closest
to me that looks like he'sconcentrated on this bubble.

Tanner (40:40):
Okay, there'll be the one on the left side. Yep.

Will (40:44):
My sixth assumption is that they are strengthening that
bubble, right. Okay. I am goingto cast command on that boy, and
the word is. Stop.

Tanner (40:59):
Okay, what's the save?

Will (41:02):
dc 13

Tanner (41:04):
dc 13 All right, and

Fraser (41:06):
I was hoping the word would be jumped.

Bruce (41:08):
Is it a wisdom saying

Tanner (41:08):
you can't harm themselves? Yeah. Yeah, it's
what some say.

Will (41:11):
It cannot be directly harmful to that thing.

Tanner (41:15):
Okay. All right. 17 Okay,

Will (41:20):
well, there goes my last spell slot that was a good use
of it. I'm so glad that I didthat.

Tanner (41:28):
Your voice rings out towards this guy. And he is
unfiltered. On faltering in hisaction.

Will (41:36):
Fuck it. I'm doing it anyways. He's gonna run at the
green or

Tanner (41:43):
Oh, okay. All right.

Will (41:46):
And shoulder into it. And all you all you see is a giant
robot van running across go andhe is Jason as head he just puts

(42:06):
his fucking shoulder into theinto the grid or

Bruce (42:10):
what what have I done?
What have I done?

Tanner (42:13):
Alright, go ahead and give me an athletics check,
please. Oh, wow.

Will (42:23):
Okay, this is remember that net 20 was talking about
furnished if that's what this isabout to be hollow or dice or
green dice. We're gonna do greendice.

Tanner (42:32):
Because it's a bubble green nice.

Will (42:35):
Not not 2018 plus two.
Okay.

Tanner (42:42):
Okay. You rush towards this magical forcefield with
your physical, physical body andyou collide with this thing.
What it does, instead of you youinstantly feel this this force

(43:06):
this like static charge, tryingto force you back, trying to
throw you away from it. Insteadwhat it does is the force field
begins with you a little bit andyou it falters and what feels

(43:32):
like this pain that surgesthrough you instead bounces back
into the the bubble and youbounce off of it. unharmed, but
it has done almost nothing otherthan provide shockwaves around
the bubble. Now that sounds thatsounds disappointing, or I'm

(43:59):
going to tell you is that youfelt energy rushed through you
that would have been way worseif you didn't for a moment
become part of the bubble.

Will (44:10):
Thank God for a really good athletics role. I didn't I
don't know what I expected thatto do. But I tested it out I
know what it is now guys isforce energy.

Tanner (44:27):
You are you are bounced back. You don't have enough the
action or anything to do to jumpback over the table. But you can
move back in and duck below thetable on this side again. I'm
gonna it's not really gonna helpbut

Will (44:44):
how so how much movement did I use?

Tanner (44:48):
You use some jumping over the table and then 20 feet
towards the center. So it's alldone. You have no more movement.
Okay, so you can't get back tothe table. Sorry. You've used it
now. movements you've usedpretty much all your movement
for this. So you or can

Will (45:03):
I just kind of like, position myself where the bubble
is between me and the other guyswhere I can still see our
genome? Like just move?

Tanner (45:14):
Now, yeah, that's that's fair. Look, hey,

Will (45:16):
it was worth a shot in my little little tiny pea brain,
you

Bruce (45:22):
know, tiny p p one.

Tanner (45:24):
Wow.

Fraser (45:25):
Tiny PV. Alright, let's go sorry.

Tanner (45:27):
Great. Okay. After that, so you learn something and
you've made some assumptionsabout the the the energy bubble
and what's going on so notcompletely useless. Magdeburg
from here on out, when, wheneverit's six is turn, you both can
can maneuver at the same time. Icould give you guys that because

(45:49):
you're the same in thetournament. Well, six comes
first, but you know, I'll allowit. Okay, Mark, Mark, what do

Fraser (45:58):
so at this point, Mark Mark is gonna more or less just
kind of stand in place and standvery still and his hands will
begin to glow and who from theoutside looking in just begin to
whisper some unintelligiblestuff as he calls upon the
Eldridge energy to speak tothem.

Tanner (46:19):
Okay, what are you saying? So, keep in mind, keep
it keep in mind, keep in mind, these turns are six seconds
long. So it needs to be quick.

Fraser (46:32):
Okay, gotcha. We're clearly outnumbered, this would
be a good place to have anadvantage.

Tanner (46:39):
Okay, because you have a relationship with this entity?
What do you think they wouldunderstand it as? What are you
What are you asking of them?

Fraser (46:48):
Oh, so I'm feeling like Battle advantage in some way.

Tanner (46:54):
Okay, all right. So this is outside of of typical Warlock
capability. So what you knowthat asking the entity for help
is going to once again take itstoll. So you hear the cold

(47:15):
laughter startup. And you cansee this, this purple energy,
these these arcs of this sort ofsickly purple that start to rise
around you. And they, they, theybasically wrap around your arms

(47:35):
and your shoulders, and you canfeel this sort of in order to
produce this you can feel itleaching out and you know, where
this is going, it feels like acut on your soul, this slice
that is just taking a portion ofyou so I need you to go ahead
and roll me a D 20.

Fraser (47:55):
That's a net 20

Tanner (47:57):
Holy takes this portion, the toll does not happen on your
physical form. But what you feelis that your connection with the
entity deepening your, yourfeeling towards the blade is the

(48:20):
barrier between the two of youis weakening. They're becoming
more a part of you every timeyou ask, but what you see is
this this this energy fieldbasically surrounding you and
you have not lost any physicalhealth from this. What do you do
with that I will allow that tobe a bonus action. So you still

(48:43):
have your movement which is 30feet I believe, and your attack
action.

Fraser (48:49):
Okay, and so how far am I from the red guys in the
middle who are contrary you

Tanner (48:55):
are 40 feet at this point from them you basically
just entered onto thebattlefield in this courtyard.
So you're 40 feet from them.
Which means you are 30 feet fromthe bubble What did I say the
diameter of the bubble was

Will (49:13):
20 feet so

Tanner (49:14):
it's 20 feet diameter 20 and 20 Yep so 20 points okay
yeah so you're you're

Will (49:20):
so yes you can

Fraser (49:27):
if if you want to kill a snake take it off at the head
and I rushed toward them withhis glowing purple grade sword
towards the bubble. Yes and Iwant to attack one of the red

Tanner (49:39):
so you did you did Jesse six get bounded off of the
bubble Hold on.

Fraser (49:44):
What they attacking the bubble of Oh, no one of the
conjuring wizards Yeah,

Tanner (49:48):
well, the greens are the ones that are so the Reds are
inside the bubble. The Blues

Fraser (49:54):
outside the Okay, I Okay, I saw them as outside the

Tanner (49:59):
Oh no, there yeah.

Will (50:00):
Bro the tech bubble though is not attacking that

Fraser (50:03):
bubble isn't is is it sounds like a bad idea. I mean,
it didn't go well for you. Imean it didn't go poorly.
Luckily yes remember

Will (50:11):
what you did to the outside of the manor there but

Fraser (50:14):
all right, fuck it.
We're attacking the bubble.
Let's do it go.

Tanner (50:18):
Okay, all right, you rushed towards the bubble with
your movement you're able tomake it there are you are
conjuring the sword. Yes, weare. Alright, so you reach out a
hand and you can see it form asthe purple flame reads from your
back up your arm and this greatsword forms in your hands, you

(50:38):
grip it with both hands and rushtowards the bubble to slice.
Now, this is certainly not thesame kind of forcefield that was
blocking the front door. It isgoing to be more difficult to
pierce this. And this is not theprotection magic that you're
using that you were in treatingthe the entity to give you. So I

(51:02):
will allow two things on this.
You are 100% going to hit thisthere's no way that you could
miss it. So I'm not going tohave you roll an attack roll.
What I am going to do is haveyou rolled to direct all of your
war Locky energy all of yourmagical energy that is both been
given to you in this grant ofprotection and that your spell

(51:22):
attacks to try and put itforward into the sword. Also, I
will give you additional bonusif you let the sword leech
health from you, the more healthyou give, the stronger the
attack on this. So what I willhave you do is you will roll the

(51:44):
damage roll from the sword andyou have your health as well.
You need to get past a certainbarrier which I have in mind. So
you need to do this much damagein order to have an effect.
Okay.

Fraser (52:02):
Okay, gotcha.

Tanner (52:03):
All right. So go ahead and roll that damage with the
sword.

Fraser (52:07):
So my normal sword damage would just be a DA that's
still

Tanner (52:11):
that still applies and add your your bonus damage your
modifiers

Fraser (52:17):
Okay, so that's a six.
Oh, it's actually minus one.

Tanner (52:22):
Yeah, because you're not rolling. You're not doing that
with charisma until next level.

Fraser (52:26):
Yeah, so that's minus one. So that's five and I can
just donate however much of myhealth I want to be damaged.

Tanner (52:32):
So as you slice down into this, with that five
damage, you see that it's notchipping away at all, you know,
you are so far away from thethreshold that you would need to
break this. The what you'refeeling is that you would need
to almost pour all of yourselfinto this attack in order to
break this barrier.

Fraser (52:52):
Alright, so I'm gonna, I'm at 19 right now. I'm going
to, I'm going to sacrifice I'lljust make it even 15 will be 20
So I'll be at four.

Tanner (53:05):
Oh point that was the number I'm looking for.

Will (53:09):
Dude, I was I was sitting there. I was sitting there
hoping so badly that you'd belike, I give it all Screw it. I
put everything into this.

Tanner (53:18):
You put everything into your sword. What it feels like
as its leached out is is thesepiercing pains through each limb
this sickening pit in yourstomach as you almost feel like
you need to vomit these thesefeelings that overcome you have

(53:41):
this dread as if the the bloodis rushing from you as if you
haven't eaten in hours andyou've just stood up too
quickly. All of these thingshappen at once as you can see
this your energy pour into thesword your hands getting paler
the veins in your hands beingmore prominent. And you swing

(54:03):
your sword with as much strengthas you can muster and you can
feel the sword the sword ishappy the sword wants more it
wants to take the entity is allit is everything. And it uses
this to slice a very thin partin this green bubble. And as it

(54:24):
opens up, you slide through andit seals behind you oh my gosh.
Oh shit. All right. Thesummoning the app actually, you

(54:44):
know what? Hang on. Let me letme check. Let me check something
real quick. It seals behind youbecause now it is the Greens
turn. And they're chanting healsthe bubble. But you're inside.

Fraser (54:56):
We in this bitch All right.

Will (55:04):
Good. We are so good.

Tanner (55:06):
We are back to the top of the order. With Archie Mark
bark. I will tell you what it'slooking like these reds are so
concentrated on them however youdo. They're so concentrated on
there. summiting sorry. But youdo get the attention of one of
them, who is directly acrossfrom you. He looks up and you

(55:29):
get a glimpse of his facebeneath his red hood. It is a
halfling male with these wildginger eyebrows, and a forehead
decorated in precise blacktattoos that resemble Dwarven
runes. Sick. That is what yousee from there. All right, top
of the order, Archie, it is nowyour turn. You have seen Mark

(55:53):
bark, go through this bubble.
The Greens on the outside wereyou to look at them really
quickly are wide eyed andincredibly worried but none of
them leave their post. The Bluesnearby are also equally like
holy shit.

Bruce (56:09):
This horn have a ranged weapon.

Tanner (56:11):
Know when he left the armory. He just took the long
sword and studied leatherleather.

Bruce (56:15):
Okay. So what is the distance from me to the closest
green cloak?

Tanner (56:22):
Okay, so you would be 20 feet away from the wall from
your positioning. So however, they're in a corner, so that
would be what's 20 by 20? What'sthe high pot news of that?
Because that is what it would be

Will (56:41):
a squared plus b squared equals c squared equals c

Tanner (56:43):
squared. I know the Pythagorean Theorem, but I just
don't know what 800

Fraser (56:48):
Oh, yeah, spell it.

Tanner (56:49):
Py T. H. It's cool. I

Bruce (56:52):
believe you. Let's go.
Oh, give a fuck last month.

Will (56:57):
800 Whatever. Okay. 28

Tanner (57:03):
It's 28 so that's gonna be what 30 Beat.

Bruce (57:06):
Can I move? 10 feet closer to a dream? Yeah, yeah.

Tanner (57:11):
From the ground. Yeah, yeah, you can certainly do that
as close to him as you want.
Just

Bruce (57:15):
I do that. Yeah, I move 10 feet. And I fling a fucking
hand axe at one of them

Tanner (57:21):
sick. So you've got the one on the cover. Okay, cool.
Throw that throw that handaxeplease. Okay,

Bruce (57:29):
does that 12 hit? Yes.

Will (57:35):
They gotta do their

Bruce (57:36):
rows. And they can't move because they're chanting. So
it's like, oh, dope, ninedamage. How you get it? All
right, max damage.

Tanner (57:47):
All right. So you launch a handaxe one of your one of
your arms, spectral arms andhands it up to a regular arm and
you launch a handaxe up to thisguy on the wall. It connects
with them. Let me see how hisconcentration does. Natural 20

(58:07):
Perfectly concentrated. He is Heis so into it. This thing just
sticks in his side and he doesit move or acknowledge it.

Will (58:17):
So Fraser what you thinking in that bubble over the
boy

Fraser (58:21):
in this bubble,

Will (58:22):
yeah. What's your thinking in that bubble over there? You
end up inside thinking

Fraser (58:25):
I wonder what the Ricochet damage of eldritch
blast is

Bruce (58:33):
I might be going down but I'm taking the rest of you
fuckers with me.

Tanner (58:39):
Alright, so you move yourself back behind the other
table and ducked downundercover. Horan looks to you.
Nods stands up, finds that theother guys are over on the other
table. And he jumps he attemptsto jump over the table succeeds

(58:59):
and rushes over and thrusts hisslices as long so

Bruce (59:04):
that's gonna say my major and hands in my index.

Tanner (59:09):
That will hit stop me damaging me. All right, great.
Okay, he hits another blue robeslices him through these. These
blues are not looking great atthis point. And he stays over on
this side in melee range of bothof these blue robes.

Bruce (59:29):
Just staring them down.

Tanner (59:31):
Pretty much he knows that they have to. If they leave
his threat range, he's in it towin it maybe. Alright.

Bruce (59:40):
That he's met a gamer.
Yeah.

Tanner (59:43):
That means reds. They're summoning continues. You hear
their chant from this distanceinside this bubble Mark bark. It
isn't a language you do notunderstand. And at this point
This gray smoke begins toemanate from the stone in the

(01:00:05):
center. All right, that means weare on to the blues. Both of
them know the predicamentthey're in with Harlan. So what
happens is the more injured onetries to Dart behind his other

(01:00:33):
friend, friend in quotationmarks at this point and push him
towards Hara and as he attemptsto make an escape he is able to
maneuver himself behind theother blue robe, the one that is
uninjured, and push them towardsHoran, who thrusts his sword

(01:00:56):
forward and stumbles as he doeswith these, with these two guys
trying to one trying to escapebehind the other. So the
uninjured one is able to make asacrifice of His friend as he
moves off and begins runningtowards the back of the

(01:01:17):
courtyard. Alright, so that maylet leaves one blue behind the
barriers with Harlan one isrunning away so the last one
left is the healthiest blue whohas not been damaged yet. Six
and Mark bark It is now yourturn since you are separate.

(01:01:39):
We're going to do theseseparately on like what I said
earlier, because communicationis going to be a little bit
difficult between you and thisbubble to six. What do you do?

Will (01:01:49):
I first of all, I tried to reach out to mark Bart not not
through the bubble. We just markbar. Can you hear me?

Tanner (01:01:57):
Out? You can't it's very muffled.

Fraser (01:02:00):
Yeah, from the other side. You hear me? Yeah,

Bruce (01:02:07):
oh, I'm pretty sure you said getting the fuck out of
there.

Will (01:02:15):
All right, knowing what Mark bar just did. Six kind of
closes his eyes. reaches out ahand. But right before he
touches, he says, you know, ifMark bar can get help, maybe I
can to get me through thisbubble. Dammit.

Bruce (01:02:37):
You're learning six.
Okay.

Tanner (01:02:41):
So what you're asking for is passage through enough
holy power. Enough divine powerdoesn't have to be holy enough
divine power to help you passthrough this bubble.

Will (01:02:52):
Correct? That's correct.

Tanner (01:02:53):
Okay. Go ahead and give me it's not a religion check.
Because you're not going to tryand tap into some knowledge.
What I want it to be is yourspellcasting ability is your
wisdom modifier. So I want youto just roll a wisdom check. And

(01:03:18):
we'll see what happens as you asyou attempt to reach out.

Will (01:03:23):
Wisdom save.

Tanner (01:03:26):
Yeah, definitely, there's no real skill associated
with it. So just give me astraight D 20. Give me a
straight D 20.

Will (01:03:35):
Ah, all right. My god. 20 flashed on it. And then it
bounced a couple more times.
Like I saw 20 very clearly.
That's a six.

Tanner (01:03:48):
Okay, for a tea.

Will (01:03:49):
Look. Hey, do I do want to say my name is yes.

Bruce (01:03:52):
I was gonna say he rolled his own name.

Will (01:03:56):
Like it's got to be something

Fraser (01:03:58):
I've never rolled a Fraser that's impressive.

Tanner (01:04:02):
What you what you get with that role? You try and
think. Actually, let me ask youthis. Who are you reaching out
to? You've had contact with acouple of different entities. I
need you with that six. Itcannot be just out into the

(01:04:24):
void. I need you to picksomeone.

Will (01:04:29):
Say Sebastian.

Tanner (01:04:30):
Can you hear me? No, he's not a god. Get out of here.

Bruce (01:04:36):
Can you hear me?

Will (01:04:37):
Okay. All right. Tastes I'm trying to stop doing loud.

Tanner (01:04:44):
Okay. You are reaching out to death incarnate. Correct.
Great idea. We'll get death whoyou escaped from after they
wanted you not to leave theirright Yes. Who I would have
taken you even though you didnot Oh, wait in the after latest

Will (01:05:04):
second? No, not late, not too late

Tanner (01:05:09):
to like, it is too late.
Who Who would you have wanted toreach out to

Will (01:05:13):
Novar? Because

Tanner (01:05:15):
it probably would have been, it probably would have
been fucking good.

Will (01:05:21):
What truth above all else, you dumb as dumb as

Tanner (01:05:25):
you reach out to death.
And what you feel in your mindis, it feels like ice, it's not
cold, but it is that numbnessand then you feel this chaotic
energy rushing around andencroaching upon this numbness.
And then you feel it sort ofdissipate as if this power is
weakening, it is not as strongnot as imposing as as you would

(01:05:53):
expect from this like not not,at least from your first meeting
with Tish, what you hear is inTilopa. You left my domain, the
time around you stops colordrains from the area and you can

(01:06:19):
see the figure of death thisshadow in in just walking into
existence here. And it standsbefore you it seems so tall. But
yet there's something about it'stheir power that is just not it

(01:06:40):
doesn't feel the same as thelast time. They reach out and
they put their hand against thebubble. And they say when you
left. So many things happen. Thechorus grew louder. The gallery

(01:07:02):
is God. And the wizard climbsthe tower. You defied me. And
now you ask for my help.

(01:07:27):
Give me a reason.

Bruce (01:07:32):
His

Tanner (01:07:34):
fingers begin to scratch down against the bubble. And you
can see small tears beneaththem.

Will (01:07:43):
Well, I couldn't think of anybody better. To help me stop
someone that's supposed to begone from coming back. I know
that I defied you. I know that Iescaped. But as you said, if
everyone was allowed to do thatwouldn't be good. They're trying

(01:08:05):
to summon dorm loud and I'mtrying to stop them. That's why
your name was the first that Ithought of

Tanner (01:08:15):
they'll remove their hand from the bubble and reach
back behind them and what theypull out is a piece of parchment
that they unroll and on it is asthey unfurl it with their long
fingers is a language you don'tunderstand. At least not by

(01:08:38):
reading it and what they say isa pact is required. I do this
for you. You are mine signed, sealed. When I call you come

Will (01:09:05):
I already belong to Nevada.

Tanner (01:09:10):
You hear the death sniff and you can feel this sort of
something like other than smellbe pulled from you and they
exhale you belong to no one.
Navarre has joined the chorus

Will (01:09:43):
there's a lot of questions there. The VARs the one that
helped me escape from you.

Tanner (01:09:50):
I provide no answers, sign or I take my leave

Will (01:10:02):
So what happens if I sign

Tanner (01:10:05):
I provide no answers.
sigh

Will (01:10:17):
I don't have a pen

Tanner (01:10:20):
pin appears in your hand.

Will (01:10:24):
Big number six on the paper.

Tanner (01:10:29):
Alright. The big number six glows in the same color that
your eyes do as it is emblazonedon the page. The pen disappears
from your hand. The parchmentrolls back up in theirs. And
their hand once again reachestowards the bubble and scratches
down in these claws of shadow asa tear opens in it. He nods to

(01:10:56):
you and you you feel that thereis no joy in making this pact.
And you can see as they backaway, they stumble a little bit
and then the shadows are gonecolor returns to the land. And
you see the tear. Slowly startto reform back into the full

(01:11:20):
bubble. Do you jump through

Will (01:11:22):
a jump through and stand up and say Zeke Leadfoot Nice to
meet you.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
