Nother realm is a narrative driven tabletop RPG
podcast. For this season, we'reusing the d&d five e rules,
kinda. The language can get alittle spicy, but if that
doesn't bother you, I will and Iplay six divers

Bruce (00:17):
and I'm the voice of Archie.

Fraser (00:18):
I'm Fraser and I play Mark bark smooth.

Tanner (00:21):
And I'm your game master Tanner. And this is what
happened on the last episode ofNother realm, the Neverthere
there. What you notice as youjump out this window is the
massive glowing green bubble inthe center. Inside you see five
red robes students chantingaround a jagged white stone

that's about the size of yourhead.

Bruce (00:44):
It's time for the Black Wolf to hunt. And the face will
be plentiful.

Tanner (00:49):
You are rushing right behind commander horn through
the door through

Bruce (00:54):
the door. As Archie tears the door open and sees them he
goes because he's in a battlerage,

Fraser (01:04):
we're attacking the bubble. Let's do it go.

Tanner (01:06):
I will give you additional bonus if you let the
sword leech health from you. Themore health you give, the
stronger the attack on this.

Fraser (01:18):
Alright, I'll just make it even 15 will be 20 So I'll be
at four.

Tanner (01:23):
That was the number I'm looking for.

Will (01:25):
Yes, taste I'm trying to stop dorm loud.

Tanner (01:29):

Their hand once again reaches towards the bubble and
scratches down in these claws ofshadow as a tear opens in it

Now that the two of you have breached the bubble what
you feel at least for you six isa familiar sensation. One that
you've both cast before and feltback in the gallery. Inside the

so this this energy comes up from the ground and
actually, you hear it moveoutward from the center of the
bubble. Boom, boom, boom, boom,boom. And all of this power
that's been saved up in thestone before you spreads
outwards. I need everyone on thebattlefield. Which is all of you

I need all of you including LordCommander Howard to go ahead and
make a wisdom saving throwplease.

Will (03:34):

Bruce (03:38):

Tanner (03:44):

literally everyone on the field.
This does feel like an abnormalhold person as if it is just a
failsafe for for anyone enteringthis.

Will (04:01):

Tanner (04:04):
All of the blues and the greens outside of the bubble are
are still there caught in thespell as well. The four reds
inside only one of them resistthe spell. And Zeke Lightfoot

not you guys pop it into fuckingbubble I guess I had plenty of

Bruce (04:46):

is the purpose? Who is dormloud? Why are you summoning it?

It's funny. They, they come and they tell you that you
have the aptitude? Right? Youhave the aptitude? Come join our
school. And what they don't tellyou is that there's a debt. And

they come to your parents. Theysay oh, hey, you bring your poor
child will take care of themwill pay for their school and I
came from nothing. Right? Theybrought me in, they taught me.
They didn't tell me about thedebt. And the debt keeps on
stacking everything you learnthat keeps on stacking. And then
they say oh, don't worry aboutit. You could take a job, we'll

send you out on jobs. So you canget rid of some of that debt.
Right? So we say yeah, allright. Well go and take care of
that. What you need from us,we'll use our magic, the things
you've taught us seems onlyfair. But then you come back and
they teach you more. Because itwasn't enough to pay off your
debt. You've got to get higherpaying jobs. In order to do
that. You've got to learn more,right? So so then what happens?

You go out and you do more jobsfor them. You come back, you
still have debt, and it keepsstacking up over and over and
over again. Do you think that'sfair? For them to take children
and say here's your somethingyou could do be above the
station that your parents arein? You don't have to be a
farmer you can be something muchgreater. Do you think that's

of the shield. The only portionsof the shield that are left are

Lord Commander horn. Those twothat have released their spells
are going to make attacks at thetwo of you inside the bubble
perimeter. Mark bark I need youto go ahead and make me a wisdom

saving throw. And six I need youto actually make a wisdom saving
throw as well.

Fraser (13:35):

Tanner (13:40):

you just do that spill. One ofthe greens up on the roof.

Tanner (15:58):
out jeez. All right. We are now at the top of the order
with Archie and Lord CommanderHarlan.

Bruce (16:07):
Alright, so the shields down.

Tanner (16:09):
shield is down. It's you'll have to circumvent it but
the backside is down.

Bruce (16:14):

Tanner (16:18):
Yeah, you'll have to use your movement in order to get
around to the backside

sprint at the wall and take aleap, like a jump and moving
jump. Because what that wouldallow me to do based on the jump

rule is after traveling 10 feet,I can jump three plus my
strength modifier in feet up,which would allow me to get six
feet up on the wall. Okay, andthen if you can try it and I'm
gonna try to grab on and climbup the rest of the way. I'm just

that works out, and I've seenthis done before, um It's still
gonna be the same amount ofdistance traveled. So even if
you're jumping over that, it'snot going to shorten the

It's pretty difficult. So you'retrying to really find these

this means is that the charge isgoing to be halved for this
round. But still the energy inthe stone in the center
continues to build up. At thispoint you kind of start to feel
this vibration. There's no soundto it, but you can feel it in

trees nearby are trembling inthis vibration Zeke and these
two that have come off of thethe dealio I'm going to go ahead
and we're roll a d for to seewho they attack the two randos

becomes domineering for a momentand you're able to shake it off
and pull yourself away from it.

Okay. What happens is Zeek reaches out his hand and
this beam of blue white lightstreaks out towards you this
cold passes through. Potentiallyif I hit and I don't you can
feel this this just frigid Nesspass over your shoulder and see

the frost build up on yourclothes. If that had hit you, it
would have been cold ray offrost nice. It wasn't. Alright,
that's the end to Zeke Stern. Itis now the two blues turns that
Harlan and Archie left down tothe bottom they see the

(28:31):
immediate threat is six to whatthey're doing so they'll both
run around to the side andattempt to hit with Fireboats
Jesus Christ

Will (28:39):
Yes. I love that Jesus Christ because it's not a good
one for Tanner.

Tanner (28:43):

Will (28:51):
1780 both have a mess I sort of feel cold on the left
shoulder hot on the rightshoulder and six says wow I
appreciate your your attempt atcontrolling my body temperature

Bruce (29:12):

before we go through the deadsaves because I know Fraser has

No, they are on the either side of Zeke. Okay. This

as you start to get these sortof feelings. You see yourself
pulled back out of out of yourform and thrust into some other
vision. And what it is, is thisrapid movement through the ruins

through the rubble, you finallyhear it. This breathing of this
