Bruce (00:00):
Nother room is real play
Dungeons and Dragons podcast.
We're an AI trainer and we'lltry to make dumb jokes and a
compelling story. Some of thecontent within will not be for
children. But if that doesn'tbother you, then here's what
happened on the last episode ofNother realm.
Tanner (00:16):
There is there is
something making its way here
and the purple lights on thewalls get brighter and brighter
until the glass around thembreaks. And as the three of you
look out in that direction, youcan see this smoke, everything
that's in it doesn't seem to beobscured by the smoke, but just
(00:38):
seems to not exist.
Will (00:41):
This should be
interesting.
Tanner (00:43):
Professor Argo
malerkotla is also caught in
this thing crashes into himinstantly, Archie, you have no
recollection of Professor Argo, malcode or six.
Bruce (00:53):
I'm not a hero should
apply to here and I should have
left fucking cleric to die inhis workshop.
Tanner (00:59):
This thing rushes into
you. And then it's nothing. You
didn't do Lobos in the drift.
You should not be here yet. Argoshouts a spell are holding back
as long as I can find Cantelli
Bruce (01:22):
spent my whole life
running from you. You're gonna
get me you're gonna get me andhe turns and he just starts
walking away
Tanner (01:28):
is building is before
you that really wasn't there
before. My name is Navarre.
Will (01:33):
I looked for Archibald
Theodore Cromwell.
Bruce (01:36):
Archie takes the picture
off the wall and he stares at
it.
Tanner (01:39):
Never taken the pain and
off the two of you find
yourselves in the gallery of acourtroom and you're about to be
convicted of murder.
(02:32):
You find yourselves in thegallery of a courtroom and
Portway worth. Archie everythingis exactly how you remember it.
Even from this point of view.
There are many people gatheredto watch the trial but less than
a handful our friendly faces.
you've wronged a lot of thesefolks, but you'd rather have
gone down for those crimes.
Instead of this. You seeyourself handcuffed to a podium
facing Judge glyos Felek a highmage from Castor Haven appointed
(02:57):
by the Crown to oversee justicein Portway worth. His white
dreadlocks are pulled back intoa small ponytail and his
piercing blue eyes look down hisnose at the past version of you.
You remember the pain you feltand the bile rising in your
stomach when you learn that yourcrew the family you built? Were
savagely murdered. Even worse, you only found out about it as
(03:18):
you're being arrested for thecrime. You then feel all that
pain turn into burning angerwhen you hear the voice of a
nice Oliver Hadley, the man whowants called brother days no
punishment too hard for thisman. Because of his
uncontrollable rage. Three sonsand five daughters will grow up
without the protection of afather for wives or need to work
(03:39):
their fingers to the bone toprovide for their families. And
I will have to live on with theburden of thinking that maybe I
could have prevented it byturning in this monster sooner.
I'm sorry for all the thingsI've done. But I am most sorry
for that.
Will (03:58):
Oh, rough
Tanner (04:03):
Archie what's going
through your mind as you look
down at your own trial
Bruce (04:09):
I don't know if there is
anything going through his mind.
Will (04:12):
Just instant rage. Yeah,
well, no, it's
Bruce (04:15):
not instant rage. It's
more like cold sweaty feeling of
like pure fear running down yourspine.
Will (04:25):
Six is kind of looking
between Archie and the scene and
then Archie and then Archie andthen Archie and then Archie
again just trying to say then helooks at anus Hadley and
Bruce (04:39):
let's let's not make this
right and everybody always
called him anus
Will (04:44):
well let's just go into
levity All right, great. Thanks
guys.
Bruce (04:47):
Not Know cut that shit. I
just thought it would be funny.
Instead
Tanner (04:52):
that's what that's what
will actually said was anus.
Bruce (04:56):
Knee Yes, Oliver.
Correct. Yes.
Tanner (04:59):
Um, Yeah, like as you're
looking between past Archie and
present, Archie, you also catcha glimpse of Nevada, the child
who is also here in this scene.
And he's just looking on can notconfused but like, very
interested in the wholesituation.
Bruce (05:18):
Also, the only clear
indicator of abou Archerfield
right now is tightly clenchedhands that are basically like,
white. They've been toclenching. So, yeah, white
Tanner (05:30):
knuckling. Okay. All
right. So yeah, you guys are
looking over this court scene.
Are there are there any otherfaces or anyone, like in the
painting? And yes, was wasclearly painted in this sort of
outline that kind of defined himas the the villain, this this
particular scene, you do havethe judge there, which, just to
kind of describe court cases inthis magical realm. They don't
(05:51):
work. Like our type of courtcases, you don't have really
prosecutors or people that aretrying to defend. People can be
accused of a crime, because wehave magic. They just use spells
to get people to tell the truth, but you really just have
defendants to make sure peoplehave a fair trial. Now, in this
(06:11):
particular case, Archie, youwere not allowed to present your
side. They had witnesses broughtin and spells were cast, and
they told their story. But thestory is wrong that they told
you don't know how they gotaround the spells or what was
done. But you do know thatthere's a fair amount of
(06:35):
injustice in the justice systemand Portway worth, and a lot of
these people wanted your head ona pike anyway. So I would
Bruce (06:47):
imagine there's probably
like other gang members members
of the guard like people likethat that are ran into again and
had had squabbles with they'reprobably at present but I don't
really there's no one of ushave. Really note because
everyone that was of note toArchie is now lying in a ditch
(07:07):
somewhere probably except thisfucker in front of me.
Tanner (07:11):
Yeah, you're fixated?
Yeah, I mean, dotted about six.
You could see people of alltypes. There's a lot of
different folks in here. A fewof them. With these wicked grins
on their faces, a few of themvisibly distraught, obviously
the family of of Archie's crewmembers. The judge seems to hold
a special amount of disdain foryou Archie, and after his Eneas
(07:36):
you know gave his little piecespersonal testimony does pass do
you say anything or do anything?
Bruce (07:44):
Yeah, past are just gonna
burst out and say I never killed
nobody. I didn't deserve Kellen.
Okay, and I sure as hell andkill me brother.
Tanner (07:54):
All right. Judge Felek
continues to look at you with
the with with the stain his hiseyes are fixated on USU you have
this outburst and also
Bruce (08:05):
Archie upon the upon the
girl who goes was a real stupid
AMITA say.
Will (08:11):
I agree. Your sentence
might have been lessened had you
not spoken up there?
Bruce (08:16):
Now highly doubtful. They
were out to get me from the
start.
Tanner (08:21):
That sentiment is echoed
when the judge speaks. I have
looked at the case I believethat the maximum sentence is
well deserved. And I believe youshould suffer for more than you
have been accused of here. Yourpast crimes have been brought to
(08:43):
my desk so many times. So manyin fact, that the crown knows of
your transgressions. If thatwere not so disturbing, it would
be impressive. But, alas, weonly have the darkest pits to
throw you into. Because I thinkyou should suffer for this.
(09:06):
Death is too easy and escape.
Will (09:11):
This hardly seems fair. I
say that a little too loud.
Tanner (09:15):
A few people in the
crowd turn to you. So at this
point you you can see that they
Will (09:21):
Oh, they actually know
that you're here. Yes. Oh, yeah.
They could actually see us. Yep,people can hear
Bruce (09:26):
you. Look, it's a
spitting image of the person on
trial.
Tanner (09:30):
Ah, you know, they they
don't seem to register that.
Gotcha. Okay,
Will (09:35):
what are you still wearing
the suit back then?
Bruce (09:38):
Now he's probably in rags
right now. Okay, so that you
Will (09:41):
look like a dapper bully.
Maybe you're maybe you're hisdad.
Tanner (09:45):
Yeah, your your past
self is dressed in, you know,
basically prisoner garb thatthey would have thrown a new
rags just to keep you covered.
When you came into the courtroomYeah, so the contract trial will
continue on if you guys, youcan, you could stay to watch it
or you could you could dosomething.
Bruce (10:05):
Well, no, I was gonna say
arch is gonna have another
outburst when he says that aboutthe crown. I never done nothing
but save the pyboard a crownleft in the pits. So why don't
you blame me or patronize methat the crown knows who I am?
Tanner (10:19):
The Crown does not show
your concerns.
Bruce (10:24):
So he's You said he's
tied to a pillar, you're
basically
Tanner (10:27):
behind a podium, you
know, it kind of goes around you
in a in a U shape or behind pastyou.
Bruce (10:35):
Okay, I didn't know what
situation like what his physical
situation was. Yeah. Yeah. Oh,at this point. Anybody watching
the scene would see the youngerArchie assume the same kind of
cold vengeful anger that he ispresented already, since you met
(10:56):
the older Archie. And he's goingto say through gritted teeth.
One of these days, I'll be free.
And when I am, you're both goingto pay. It's going to be the
most excruciating feeling you'veever felt in your life. It's
going to be slow.
Tanner (11:13):
As you say this, you can
look over to me Yes. And through
his sort of performance, the thewelling of the tears in his eyes
and the grin on his face, youcan see a slight smirk and the
judge basically waves yourcomment off, as to bailiffs
(11:36):
start to approach on eitherside, then I suppose we will
continue with sentencing, themaximum sentences, eternity. I
mean, if you were immortal, thatwouldn't matter. So life, the
rest of it with no chance ofescape, you will be put to work
every day. And you will be giventhe bare means to survive. And
(12:00):
that is more than you deserve.
Bruce (12:02):
The only thing I'll need
to get the two of you is my
rage.
Tanner (12:08):
I would caution you for
threatening a judge during
sentencing, but it no longermatters. bailiffs, take them
away, aren't you just
Bruce (12:22):
smiles of like bleeding
the evil smile through clenched
teeth as he's grabbed by theBayless. All he says is in a
very monotone voice. I willhaunt the both of you to the
ends of the earth.
Tanner (12:37):
And they take you away
out of the scene, your vision
blurs you and six the presentversions, this sort of wave
effect begins to happen. Andthen you find yourselves in the
gallery of a courtroom in Portway worth. Archie everything is
(13:00):
exactly how you remember it.
Even from this different pointof view. There are many people
gathered to watch the trial, butless than a handful are friendly
faces. you've wronged a lot ofthese folks, but you'd rather
have gone down for those crimesinstead of this.
Bruce (13:16):
Yeah, older adult, older
older Archie is going to turn to
six and he's going to say, Well,I've seen enough of this. We
both know how this story ends.
Let's figure out a way to getout of here.
Will (13:29):
I was going to ask if you
were having a sense of what is
it called? Deja vu. Hot doshacat know that deja vu? Deja vu.
Thank youOh, yeah. I wonder. Is Navarro
there? Navarro still here? Yeah.
(13:52):
I look at guess I looked inNavarro. And so how do we get
back?
Tanner (14:02):
I don't know. I've never
gone into a painting before. I
haven't tried to remove themfrom the walls. He's got a fair
point.
Will (14:11):
That's fair. I guess we
could try something new. I
stayed up a cast guiding boltthat the
Tanner (14:18):
Okay, roll the hit. Do
that.
Will (14:26):
This is this is probably a
terrible idea.
Bruce (14:29):
I'm gonna assume probably
that any any determinant from
the memory will cause it toreset, but we'll see.
Will (14:35):
Okay, well, I'm hoping
that's kind of what happens just
as
Bruce (14:38):
Archie begins bleeding
out of his head.
Will (14:40):
I wrote an ID. Okay.
Tanner (14:43):
You send out this
guiding bolt. You might have the
words for it and did it I don'tknow if it's verbal, but
Will (14:50):
yeah, it is verbal, verbal
and smell. Okay. Yeah. As
Tanner (14:53):
you as you might have
the words for the people around
you turn and you can see someLike arcane symbols trigger
around you. Most likelypreventative magic runes. But
you send this out and it's so itgoes straight to the judge and
(15:14):
smacks him right in the chest.
And as you cast this underneaththis green energy comes up and
restrains you and you cannotmove but when when the guiding
bolt hits the judge go ahead androll damage for me please
Will (15:30):
Oh my god, I hit this shit
out of it. I did. Oh, it's not
plus anything 18 damage.
Tanner (15:39):
Okay, as you hit him red
paint starts to come out and
like streak across the scene andstay as if it's this kind of
staccato is sort of chiseled onpaint. And then this seems like
(16:00):
fracturing of realityreverberates in this tear off of
the judge and comes out and onceagain, all these waves come in
your perception even as you'refrozen there. And then your
vision returns and you findyourself in the gallery of a
courtroom and
Bruce (16:19):
I've done a lot of drugs
in your life and that that has
never happened. So don't do thatagain. Please six
Will (16:27):
it was kind of
Tanner (16:28):
trippy what you do
notice in this particular
iteration, however, is that thejudge has streaks of red paint
across his chest
Bruce (16:40):
you know you might be
given me a lobotomy here.
Will (16:43):
I am sorry for that. That
wasn't I thought maybe we would
break the loop.
Bruce (16:51):
Archie begins feeling
feeling his face. Make sure he's
not bleeding. Yeah, aren't
Will (16:57):
you? You look fine don't
worry.
Bruce (17:01):
I'm gonna look around for
doors.
Tanner (17:03):
Yeah, they're the number
of doors that you remember there
being in here there's the maindouble doors that come in at the
back of the room that you canenter from and then there's a
door on the if you're facing thejudge on the left side that
likely goes to his chambers andthen another on the right where
they take you out at the end ofthe scene. And you know from
experiences it just takes youback into like the temporary
(17:25):
holding cells that they wouldthen take you to jail
Will (17:29):
so we try something new
maybe you give it a go
Bruce (17:33):
or she looks around
Will (17:37):
like Bruce is actually
looking man that's getting into
the That's That's commitmentright there.
Tanner (17:45):
As you're as you're
looking around you here in ES
once again say there is nopunishment too harsh for this
man. He said because of hisuncontrollable rage
Bruce (17:56):
stay here for a moment.
I'm gonna do something I'vealways wanted to do.
Will (18:00):
Yes, yes.
Bruce (18:02):
Archie gets up and he
just fucking sprints it in the
US and hits him with his greataxe
Tanner (18:09):
All right, I need you to
go ahead and roll athletics for
me.
Bruce (18:12):
Okay, I'm good at that.
And for my for the for thelisteners. He knows full well
this is not going to do anythingbut it'll feel good. Athletics
70
Tanner (18:25):
Nice. Okay, you are
sprinting forward towards the
knees. And it takes it doesn'ttake you long to get pretty
close to where he's giving hisstatement. However, by the time
just right before you get therepast you looks over and sees
(18:49):
present you and you feel thispounding splitting headache Come
on, that starts at your templesand moves behind your eyes. I
need you to go ahead and roll aconstitution saving throw for
Bruce (19:02):
me. All right, I'm also
good at that too. A 17
Tanner (19:06):
Oh, 17 Very nice. Okay,
as you as you feel this
headache, the rage it's buildingup inside of you. You're able to
push it back and ignore the painand you vault over and dive with
your great axe towards theknees. And should you stick this
directly where do you where doyou slice him? Right? Right in
(19:29):
his neck. Okay,
Bruce (19:30):
I just bury it like
straight down and in between his
neck and his shoulder.
Tanner (19:35):
Your great axe which is
embellished with the the wolf
that is representative of the ofthe company of of men that you
used to lead slams down into theside of a nice his neck with a
thick funk. And you can feel itand all this hatred that you've
held up for so long in yourswing your muscles straining to
(19:58):
try and force this thing throughhim And as you do, you can see
red paint come outwards andwhite paint as it cuts through
bone and presses forward andmoves out into the room and
begins to cover the scenery. Andthen once again, your vision
begins to turn into waves asthings fade out and back in. And
(20:20):
once again, you find yourself atthe beginning of the scene. But
if you look over at Eneas, youcan see these white and red
markings, this sort of crimsonscarf that traces across in
front of him where you wantedhim.
Bruce (20:34):
Alright, that was fucking
worth it. Let's get out of here.
It used to he just Archie standsup and goes towards the double
doors.
Tanner (20:40):
Navarro says, you think
we could just I mean it's worth
a shot.
Will (20:45):
That's a better idea than
these two doesn't seem that
we've accomplished much besidesmaking it a little bit more
colorful.
Bruce (20:54):
I excuse me what I did
was very cathartic. It's a good
word.
Will (20:58):
I did something
Bruce (21:01):
I almost said lethargic.
Tanner (21:03):
very lethargic. Alright,
so the three of you had to the
the double doors. Yeah. Okay.
You go towards the double doorsand people do turn to see you
but only regard you
Bruce (21:20):
know, I'm kidding.
Tanner (21:21):
I don't know. They only
regard you in so much as you're
someone who's leaving a trialbefore the sentence is passed.
And and I like the fuck this isa bad deal. You don't want to
see this happen. And as youswing open the doors in the
back. What you look out to isall these swirling paint colors.
(21:43):
This sort of impressionistic mixof oil paintings moving and
undulating in front of you. Whatare other like clays doing
Will (21:51):
here?
Tanner (21:52):
Haha. That an Alice in
Wonderland reference? No, is the
painting
Will (21:58):
is a dolly referenced
Bruce (21:59):
here a bomb ticking must
be must be set must be six as
hard tick
Tanner (22:04):
tock. Tick tock on the
clock. And when trying to do a
nursery rhyme So yeah, that'swhat you see in front of you.
Will (22:11):
One small
Bruce (22:12):
step for me i Six. I'm
gonna share a bit little bit of
advice for you. Yeah, don't dodrugs.
Will (22:21):
Understood. Dive in. Okay,
bye.
Tanner (22:28):
Okay. So it is just six
that dives into the paint.
Navarro looks up at you Archieand he takes a little step back
at six as you dive into thispaint. A you can feel this sort
of you ever you ever fingerpainted. You remember finger
painting? Yeah, it's roiling.
Yeah. All night.
Will (22:49):
Oh, you're asking Will.
Your painting, will you? Justkidding.
Bruce (22:56):
Six. You're painted with
people's organs. Yeah. I don't
know. I don't know if that's ajoke. Joke. Not
Tanner (23:02):
yet. Not yet. Let's go.
Yeah, it's it. I mean, it's likeyou submerged your whole body in
oil paints. It's it's goopy.
You're swimming forward. Itseems fine to try and move
through. You don't need tobreathe so you don't know if
that's an issue.
Will (23:20):
Well, I figured it was
better for me to try than anyone
else says I do not need tobreathe.
Bruce (23:27):
Glad you can take one for
the same 6am I floating
Tanner (23:30):
there's no way I know
you've you've you're completely
submerged in this so it's morelikely would not have heard that
we're all three the viscosity ofpaint No
Will (23:42):
it's more like okay, all
right. We're done with that.
Bruce (23:46):
No, but that sound effect
was pretty good. Like I was not
if I was not watching you Iwould definitely think you stuck
your head underwater orsomething
Will (23:54):
that just for the
listeners that was not all with
me. That was no fix.
Bruce (24:00):
And that was all his
mouth. All right,
Will (24:03):
I guess I'm gonna climb
back out if there's nothing
happening.
Tanner (24:07):
Yeah, you start to swim
back towards the the vertical
surface that is the door and ashe comes out, Archie six is
covered in multicolored stripesand splotches of paint it looks
like this paint isn't mixingtogether it's just all these
colorful streaks all over him ashe steps out
Bruce (24:31):
guess you're going
through your rebellious phase I
Will (24:36):
I looked down oh, I guess
so. This did nothing. Oh, I got
I got one more thing to try.
Bruce (24:46):
All right, you go ahead.
I'll wait here a whole lot.
Will (24:49):
That was like if I could
do I get the feeling that if I
continued going out into thepaint that I would escape
somehow ah What's what's outthere? Is it just blackness?
Tanner (25:03):
I mean, it's it's paint,
you know, like, you could still
kind of see colors because youcan have your eyes open and not
be full of paint, but like, you're just looking into paint
Will (25:18):
Okay, all right. Here's
what I want to try it. So
Tanner (25:22):
if you're trying to to
try and roll to see if you know
if something's out there, I willlet you do like this is clearly
magical. So if you want to rollour Kana
Will (25:31):
Okay, sure. I'll try that
first. Before I do what I'm
about to do. That's a turn ondice is like plus two or five or
something. What is Archana?
Tanner (25:42):
You think that if you
jumped into this endless number
of possibilities could happen.
You could swim out of thepainting, or you could end up
turning into a cuckoo clock. Youdon't know.
Bruce (25:57):
I gotta check one of the
other doors. All right,
Tanner (25:59):
Archie, you walk towards
one of the other doors and as
you do, past you, cease you walkby and you once again get that
splitting headache. I need youto go ahead and roll a
constitution safe.
Bruce (26:12):
Okay. 1313. All right.
Tanner (26:17):
This time around the
headache begins to overcome you.
Your rage is in fueling you andyour momentum bring you forward
and objective you're not desirebut your need to do an action
isn't keeping you from fromsuccumbing to this headache and
you fall to your knees as itsplits through your brain. And
(26:42):
once again, everything begins towave and reset itself and go
back at the beginning of thescene.
Bruce (26:50):
I don't really fuck that
wasn't fun.
Tanner (26:52):
The headaches certainly
does dissipate. New Rule
Bruce (26:55):
sticks. Don't let me see
me.
Will (26:58):
Understood. That's
probably a good rule. There's
something in there some sort oflogical fallacy there anyway.
Okay. Anyways, let me try this.
I want to cast command. It doeshave a verbal component, but I'm
gonna cast command on anus.
Tanner (27:18):
It's going to
automatically fail unless you
see it really
Will (27:22):
nice. Alright, fine.
Tanner (27:25):
Get correct. It's you've
got you've got to have a target
of a magical spell and no onehere is named anus,
Will (27:32):
okay, and as Oliver
Hadley, I'm going to cast
command on as Oliver Hadley aregoing to one more command if he
fails my DC 13 Seven throat so
Tanner (27:44):
a few notes before you
do that. A few notes. You guys
are all seated back in the samepositions in the gallery. Again,
you're not standing in differentplaces. However, six is still
covered in paint.
Will (27:57):
So I should have asked
that first. Actually, that's
Bruce (28:00):
is a new Yes. And the
judge also still governance.
Tanner (28:02):
Yeah, they're paint you
can still see the swats of paint
from when you entered them. Justthe just the streaks of red on
the judge and the streaks of redand bone white on Aeneas.
Will (28:14):
Duly noted. Now I do the
command thing.
Tanner (28:18):
Okay. Go ahead and tell
me what that command is. Oh, he
fails. Ha I will not tell mewhat the code
Will (28:26):
is. Truth is the one word
I say.
Tanner (28:30):
The one word command is
truth. What's your save 30
wisdom. This is verbal correct.
Will (28:36):
It is verbal.
Tanner (28:38):
Okay. Any other
components of it? Do it verbal
semantic material, just verbal?
Will (28:43):
Just verbal. Okay,
Tanner (28:45):
so you let fourth one
word.
Will (28:50):
Truth.
Tanner (28:52):
Okay. As as this comes
out, have you used the command
spell before? Nope. Okay.
Basically, you can kind of seethese sort of sort of audio
shockwaves moving slowly towardsNES. And, boy, that's nifty. It
blows over him no one else seemsto notice the smell. But in this
sort of thing, you can kind ofsee flickers of colors of paint
(29:15):
as it moves through. As instantas the smell comes out. The
light once again, comes uparound you and you are frozen in
place and locked down. But thenin the US is expression begins
to change his his features.
soften a bit his expression notso fake. And he trembles as, as
(29:46):
if he's trying to hold back.
Something that's building upinside of him. And then he says
what is that? What is the truth,Archie? What is the truth? Have
this scenario did he kill all ofthem? Or did he conspire and
have other people do it?
Bruce (30:06):
Yeah, it's just like a
bait. It's a conspiracy more or
less okay? Because becausethere's no way he'd be able to I
mean it. Yeah, he's a prettydecent sized crew like I mean,
one person couldn't have done itbut
Tanner (30:16):
it could have been like
a poisoned all of them. That is
that is something right. And thebiggest
Will (30:19):
thing is like Archie
didn't do it is the biggest
thing that I would expect.
Because he's about to say he'sabout to say the same thing. You
said every time which is thisman. I
Tanner (30:28):
bet he did all this.
Bye. Bye. Bye. So I do want topoint out one thing that this is
kind of a different use of ofthe command spell because there
is the zone of truth. But I'mfor it.
Will (30:44):
Oh, it's definitely not
conventional. Typically, it's
like an action that they make.
But I figured maybe why not?
Bruce (30:50):
Yeah, yeah. But if you
read the description, it can be
an it can be other thingsbesides, well, yeah,
Tanner (30:55):
I'm fine. I'm fine with
it.
Will (30:58):
Or follow a one word
command that makes sense to
them. To me. This makes sense.
Tanner (31:02):
And that's certainly so
Eneas says struggling to hold
these words words in like he'strying to hold back from
vomiting. And he says Ay, ay. Ayorchestrated the whole fucking
(31:25):
thing. And the people in thecourtroom look both shocked, but
some of them look completelyappalled. You can pick out the
ones, Archie, the the other gangmembers and leaders, you can
look at their faces and see thatthis is not what they were
expecting, especially since inthe past then begins to start
(31:45):
pointing people out and accusingthem of being a part of it in
audit and do it alone. Everyonefrom the top gangs in the area
helped me and none of this. Noneof this is on him. And he points
down to you, your past youbehind the pulpit pulpit behind
(32:09):
the podium. The judge in thiscase looks shocked and you can
see from the injuries thatyou've made to both the judge
and to a nice, all these othercolors pouring forth and their
eyes washed to this stark whitebefore tears of paint begin
(32:33):
pouring out and it beginsfilling the room and everything
quickly from the doors that youhad open before all the paint
begins to fill in in thismulticolored tapestry fills
everything of your vision. Thistime there is no waves that
bring you back out. But yourvision clears and you can see
(32:55):
that you are back in thegallery. The actual gallery in
drift realm with the paintingthat you are just in on the
floor drained of all colorexcept for tiny patches of multi
colors on you in the center ofthe painting. No longer do you
(33:18):
see the aura surrounding India'sHadley but just a speck of what
it feels like to have hadsomeone tell the truth about
your scenario no matter if itwas real or not. But you're back
in the gallery
Will (33:59):

Bruce (35:46):
Well, that was a fucking
wild ride.
Will (35:49):
Oh, absolutely a question.
Do you still remember going tojail?
Bruce (35:56):
I'll never forget that
hellhole.
Will (35:58):
Ah, so we didn't change
the past. It was kind of
interesting, though.
Bruce (36:04):
Like I said, done a lot
of drugs. Never seen nothing
like that before.
Will (36:09):
We've got to talk about
these drugs. Things
Bruce (36:12):
that I was not down to
drugs. Pair.
Will (36:16):
They would work on me
anyways.
Bruce (36:18):
Probably not. Well, you
got some organic pieces, don't
you? Oh, you're right.
Will (36:22):
Do you think All kids
should do drugs? I'm only four.
Bruce (36:25):
Oh, absolutely not.
You're way too young to dodrugs. Gotta be at least seven.
Tanner (36:31):
Navarro perks up and
says I'm 1011 I
Bruce (36:36):
shouldn't have drugs.
Will (36:40):
Oh, 11 fairly certain you
said seven at first.
Bruce (36:44):
Let's talk to me all
these weird paint things going
on.
Will (36:47):
Okay, this job.
Bruce (36:50):
Now, I do have quite a
few more faces. And Ed's they'll
be taken. So that's gonna.
Tanner (36:59):
Yeah, if you're, if
you're wanting you can remember
specifics on this. And we cankind of there were three other
people that in the acid pointedout.
Bruce (37:10):
Okay, cool. Yeah,
Will (37:12):
I agree with you. Our CI
gli m and n Es seemed like they
were in cahoots. If you askedme, that was a setup. And
bullshit.
Bruce (37:22):
I wouldn't be surprised
the entire crowd was a part of
that set up. Fucking bastards.
Will (37:30):
You're right, fuck them. I
said my
Bruce (37:34):
first four year olds
really shouldn't talk like that.
Will (37:39):
I have. I'm fairly certain
I'm much older than that. But I
don't know much about my past.
You think we could. I've got anidea. Pull out the book again
and pull up. The doctor boy thatwe saw pictures of me in?
Tanner (37:53):
Oh, our Gmail cut? Yeah,
you flip through to look for our
Gmail account and you see hisname there. I think it was in
silver. And as you you know, fixate on that name. The halls
of the gallery begin to shiftand all of the paintings on the
wall, on the walls change andshow the lifespan of Argo
(38:14):
malcode. Oddly enough, there aremore paintings at the end of
this then you might expect youcan see the sort of really
messed up paintings that you sawwhen you looked at your own
timeline. And right at the endbefore you were taken here, how
(38:39):
it was just this these scratchesof paintings this chaotic sort
of mess. But in Argos case, there is there are there is one
more painting afterwards. And heis in drift realm. You can see
(39:02):
walking across the waves. Butoften the distance he's walking
towards this gray tower.
Bruce (39:14):
And so the gunslinger
goes I always I
Tanner (39:17):
almost said the black
tower.
Bruce (39:19):
Alright, sorry. I had to
make a Stephen King reference
there.
Tanner (39:22):
Yeah, I figured I
figured I look
Will (39:25):
at Navarre. And where's
that? We're, it's in this realm.
Tanner (39:31):
Did you guys say fuck in
front of Nevada? Yes, lots. Fuck
if I know.
Bruce (39:36):
Hey, remember I said you
know you'll be loved to do
drugs. You gotta be loving touse words like that, too.
Tanner (39:42):
Oh, what can I use
instead?
Bruce (39:46):
Well, I guess you could
say, I don't know. fragen
Tanner (39:49):
fragen if i Is that not
a that's not a curse word. No.
All right, frog in a fight now.
Bruce (39:54):
I guess technically would
be frag be frog if I know not
fraggin
Tanner (40:00):
I don't know, may
either? Well,
Will (40:04):
I would like to Oh,
actually, how did we get here?
I'm pretty sure.
Bruce (40:10):
We walked into that door
over there.
Will (40:12):
Yeah, but I'm fairly
certain that I just kind of
willed it into existence. I waslooking for a
Bruce (40:20):
way out. Well, why didn't
you say you could do that before
six, we could have avoided thiswhole problem.
Will (40:26):
That's too. But there's
one more thing I want to do. And
I gotta go find a picture ofwhat I presume is me and the
doctor doing some stuff. In acrowd
Tanner (40:39):
in a crowd, okay.
Will (40:43):
Was there anything were
there together with a crowd of
people
Bruce (40:48):
and other robotic
entities that no
Tanner (40:51):
role investigation? For
me? There's, I'm gonna say
there's a lot of paintings.
Will (40:56):
I think that's just the
1313 on dice. I'm pretty sure I
got a zero. Yep. 13.
Tanner (41:02):
Okay, um, as you're
looking through, you don't see
anything that meets those exactstandards. I mean, you do find a
couple of the person you assumedto be you. The tall, wiry,
mustachioed, man. The closestthing you can find is what looks
(41:22):
to be the two of you in a, in alaboratory setting, with a few
more people around.
Will (41:34):
I'll tell you what, I find
a painting with just us to it.
Tanner (41:39):
Okay, you could
certainly find that. Okay.
Will (41:42):
Just follow my lead here.
I pull it off the wall.
Tanner (41:44):
Okay. As you pull it off
the wall, you feel the same sort
of tearing fabric of reality.
And you are when your visionsort of clears from all these
paints and everything obscuringit, you do find yourself in the
scene, kind of watching from adarker corner of the of a
laboratory. Watching the two ofyou pour over books. Well, the
(42:05):
two men are gonna Alcott andthis other gentleman again, you
assumed to be you pour overthese books looking at
schematics, you can seedifferent mechanical parts lying
around the beginnings of whatcould have been the experiment
that created what you are.
Bruce (42:26):
I say is we're getting
sucked into the painting. I six,
I must ask you a question.
Will (42:35):
It looks like I've gained
my mustache back. Alright, so
I'm going to sneak up behindthem.
Tanner (42:46):
Okay, roll stealth.
Bruce (42:48):
Archie just standing
there watching. He's super
confused as to what this whathe's about to do.
Tanner (42:53):
It's a 1212 All right.
Okay. So you're, you're walkingup behind them. Don't turn
around. They both turn around.
And as as of the version of youwith the moustache sees you. The
(43:18):
whole world goes wibbly wobbly.
And
Will (43:22):
we go again. Okay, okay.
New new approach. So I'm in adark corner. They can't hear me
or they can't see me right.
Tanner (43:32):
They're not currently
looking at you. Okay, all right.
Will (43:36):
I'm gonna I'm gonna kind
of hide behind something and say
I say Archie find out his name.
I presumably my name
Bruce (43:45):
I walk up to the not our
group male college guy and I
smack him on the back of thehead and I say hey, what's your
name?
Tanner (43:51):
He grabs the back of his
head and both of them whip
around neither of them seem tobe afraid and how does all right
well, how does mustachioed manreact Yeah, fuck you.
Bruce (44:17):
Yeah, that was that was
that was my thing. My panning I
was like I really didn't meanfor this to happen because now I
gotta make a lot of decisionsreally quickly
Will (44:24):
said I would give you this
option. We can totally abort
this. No, we're hitting it baby.
Bruce (44:30):
He says you're going to
suffer will
Will (44:33):
my name you want my name?
What's your name?
Bruce (44:43):
I backhand him. Tell me
your name.
Will (44:48):
Do I have a chance to
dodge it?
Unknown (44:51):
Um
Bruce (44:54):
it's not it's not you.
Technically technically.
Tanner (44:56):
It's not you but like,
old you like this So that would
be a push over. Yeah, go aheadand roll the roll the hit,
Archie. We're not gonna I mean,it's not like lethal damage.
You're not actually trying tohurt him hurt him, so
Bruce (45:10):
I got like a 10 Okay,
Tanner (45:13):
um, he can see this one
coming and puts his arm up to
block your slap.
Bruce (45:21):
Saying we wouldn't have
to do that if you just tell me
your name.
Will (45:24):
Fuck me. All right. Fuck
me. I thought Tanner was gonna
play this guy.
Tanner (45:32):
No.
Bruce (45:34):
You deserve all of this.
Tanner (45:35):
You deserve all this
dude.
Will (45:37):
Okay, all right. My name
is Jason What is your
record my name okay
Bruce (46:00):
six his name's Jason and
my name is Jack kickham Let's go
oh, let me say my name
Tanner (46:13):
you then My name
Bruce (46:24):
is David the last
Tanner (46:29):
I should have played
this. Just keep him the hardest
said that I could pick up justto screw you over even more. But
no, you got this buddy. No, goahead with this. This is all
staying in here. Man. If youremove us a second of this
Will (46:48):
we're good. Oh. The names
Jason. Now tell me yours
Bruce (47:01):
Jason Horner Sutton. I
six old here is a real fucking
douchebag
Tanner (47:08):
Oh, they both look over
to where you turn to yellow that
the waves happened again. Theseed reset
Will (47:17):
wow, I see very cool. Cool
it.
Tanner (47:23):
Can do God
Bruce (47:28):
Okay. All right. On the
voice I might call you Jason are
six now. Are you Jason six, six.
Jason.
Will (47:36):
You know, I I I think I
prefer six at this point.
Bruce (47:43):
I'm not make you do I
call you douche.
Will (47:47):
I hope that's not well,
actually. Like
Bruce (47:52):
Well, the bright side is
is you can be whoever you want
to be now.
Will (47:56):
That's very true. Thank
you for you know, I don't know
my past life. I'm hoping Iturned over a new leaf Well,
there's only there's only onething left to do now. And I just
start destroying the room asfast as I can.
Tanner (48:14):
Oh my god, yeah. You
destroy you destroy the room.
And like, every time the loopresets when they notice you you
keep destroying things over andover and over again. The real
question was okay, so I kind ofhad an idea of what Archie would
(48:34):
get out of a scene like this. Ifany it was it was meaningful
progression of like trying torelease some sort of of long
hurt
Bruce (48:48):
basically shadow work.
Tanner (48:50):
Yeah. So what what
exactly like were you did you
just want your name out of thiswhite what I just
Will (48:57):
wanted. Literally six just
wanted to know the name.
Tanner (49:02):
Okay. As soon as Archie
yells back and tells you what
the man has said his name is youcould feel reality shifting and
you are covered in the massivecolors again. And when your
vision clears, you are back inthe gallery staring at the
painting which is now drained ofcolor altogether.
Will (49:26):
That may not seem like
much to you, but it is. I still
don't remember much from myprevious life, but it meant a
lot to at least know that that'sme. I guess that's where I get
Jason from. Maybe I do remembermore than I think.
Bruce (49:47):
To be fair, I did start
conversations smacking you in
the back of the head so it canbe while you're a little bit
petty.
Will (49:53):
I guess we'll see. With
time. I have a lot of questions.
But for now I'll, though, Iguess will remain unanswered.
Maybe we should go find the graytower.
Tanner (50:07):
As you two are
discussing next steps. You see
Novar walk over to the book andbegin flipping through it. And
he says, Come on, come on. It'sgot to be in here somewhere. Why
didn't I think to look before?
And he's just flipping veryquickly through all the pages.
Bruce (50:31):
I look over. What do you
think he's doing? I say to six,
Will (50:35):
I was still talking about
the gray tower. thing that I
think we need to find us. Oh, Idon't, I don't know. Hey, what
are you doing?
Tanner (50:45):
I'm trying to find my
name. And you just flipping
through?
Will (50:50):
What's your surname?
Tanner (50:54):
Ah, ha, I think it's I
don't know if I have one. I just
was here, I just remember hereand this place, and being here
and looking at the paintings.
And, and that's it. So there'sgot to be something before this.
(51:16):
And he is still just feverishlyflipping through the pages.
Will (51:22):
I guess I'm going to try
to help him. Okay, you've got to
be in there somewhere, buddy.
Tanner (51:28):
You walk over to the
book. And again, this book is in
any sort of alphabetical orderany sort of order that you can
tell. And as you're swipingthrough all of the pages,
eventually, you see it and it'snot in the same color lettering
as everything else. It is inthis bold, black font. And it
(51:52):
seems that there is a surnamethere but it is smudged out this
this. This actually looks to belike a very hurriedly
handwritten piece from a quillthat was dipped in too much ink.
Will (52:08):
Well, that's interesting.
Let's, I guess pull you up. Solet's say the bar point to his
name, I guess.
Tanner (52:17):
As you think it the
gallery begins to shift. And
like before the paintings beginto fluttered the sound of paper
running past each other, theends to pick up but the sound of
it keeps growing louder andlouder and the paintings keep
flipping by and all of thesethings start to shake on the
(52:40):
wall, all the many pictureframes, and you can feel the
ground begin to shake as well.
And Navarro grabs on to thepodium that the book is sitting
on and these paintings are notsettling as debris begins
falling from the ceiling. Notnot enough to hurt or maim yet
(53:01):
but the the ground do be shaken.
Bruce (53:09):
What do you do six? I
told you not to touch things you
didn't understand.
Will (53:14):
I mean I don't understand
much to be honest.
Bruce (53:22):
With you shouldn't touch
much.
Will (53:23):
It looks like this place
is crumbling Navara think we
need to leave.
Tanner (53:28):
I I can't leave until
where did I come from? I've just
been here. And he looksincredibly distraught this 10
year old boy who is not oldenough to curse.
Will (53:43):
I look for my own name in
the book while the stuff is
crumbling.
Tanner (53:49):
You look back down to
the book and all the names are
gone. Oh,
Will (53:56):
well, I thought maybe if I
switched it off of you. This
would stop but I think we needto leave. I don't think you're
going to find anything outtoday. And I started heading to
running towards the door.
Tanner (54:06):
Navarro runs in the
opposite direction towards one
of the picture frames and triesto take it off the wall. Oh, I
Will (54:12):
don't know about this
running faster away from
whatever I'm doing.
Bruce (54:17):
Archie is the soldiers is
the the degradation of where we
are just getting like worse andworse.
Tanner (54:24):
Yeah, it's it's not like
exponentially but it is getting
worse as time goes on. Enough tobe concerning concerning.
Will (54:36):
I think we should leave
Archie.
Bruce (54:38):
Well, yeah, I think
you're right. Sorry, brother,
who's gonna noise mean youNavarro. Remember don't cause to
do drugs until you're 11 I'm outof here.
Tanner (54:47):
Okay, the two of you
begin running towards the way
that you came in. And as you getto the threshold, I need you to
make a dexterity save. Can I seeit? Can you see He,
Bruce (55:00):
whatever is making me do
a dexterity said you're diving
Tanner (55:03):
out of the way of
collapsing. collapsing.
Will (55:06):
So the answer is yes, you
can take advantage. Oh 13 plus
zero.
Bruce (55:16):
Non natural toy.
Tanner (55:18):
Okay. As the two of you
dive forward, Archie, you're
able to tuck yourself in withyour pick, pick your coattails
up as you roll and tumble downthe stairs, trying to minimize
the damage to your suit jacket.
Six you are caught by the archesout in front of the building
(55:39):
that are holding up the front.
it tumbles and hits you in theback. For eight damage, rough,
okay, you collapse and you rolldown the stairs, eventually
splashing down at the bottominto the drift. Not so much as
(56:03):
to where you're you're like inthe drift you can still walk on
top of it both of you can. Andthen behind you. The gallery
crumbles in upon itself. Andthis hole appears is almost
black hole and sparkling on theoutside that swallows itself
inward. Everything that's there.
And all of the water from thedrift realm is sort of pulling
(56:26):
and undulating towards it. Notflowing into it. But just there
with this dark open portal.
Will (56:35):
We know it's a portal. Do
we know where it goes?
Bruce (56:38):
Probably you know
anything about it. Be honest.
Tanner (56:40):
Oh, yeah. Okay, don't
roll out. You can roll our
camera if you'd like no, no.
Bruce (56:43):
Well, I don't know.
Will (56:44):
I guess Mark can and we'll
see what happens. I mean, 70
plus two less than 18. Sowhatever. I guess we'll find out
what we can know about it.
Tanner (56:54):
That's the portal.
Will (56:55):
Go Cool. Yep. Well, that's
definitely a portal.
Bruce (57:00):
I'm glad you know,
because I don't
Tanner (57:02):
I mean, best best you
could think of like you search
back and remember banks in youknow, of like black holes and
things being swallowed upon eachother and think, Oh, well, if a
bunch of maths is taken inthere, it has to have gone
somewhere because the laws ofuniversal
Bruce (57:18):
physics physics. I think
it's a law of physics, for that
matter. CASS cannot matter.
Tanner (57:26):
cannot be created or
destroyed. Only altered. Yeah,
this sounds actually the law. Ithad to go somewhere.
Bruce (57:33):
Do any to any to any
physicists out there.
Will (57:36):
That's the law of
conservation of energy energy. I
don't know if it's the secondfirst or whatever.
Bruce (57:43):
Alright, I'm going to
look around and see if there's
anything else besides thisthing. Alright, I'm gonna walk
around it.
Tanner (57:51):
Oh, yeah, you walk
around it, you can feel the pull
of it. But it's not likeactually pulling you in. But all
around you in this place is justthe waves of the drift and the
souls beneath it. And this blackportal.
Bruce (58:06):
Alright, six. I'm gonna
do something really stupid.
Will (58:10):
I think we should do it
together. Because I have an idea
of what you're thinking. We diveinto the portal.
Bruce (58:17):
All right, let's do it.
Will (58:18):
All right, let's rose
strap for strap I'm gonna keep
pace with the old boy here,we're gonna jump into the
portal.
Tanner (58:25):
Alright, the two of you
break towards the portal and
dive in. And you are taken backinto the same sort of blackness
that you found when you came inhere. And as soon as your vision
clears, you find yourselves inthe gallery of a courtroom in
Portland.
(58:46):
You know, you, the two of youfind yourself sort of drifting,
drifting in this place. Again, this sort of feeling of
nothingness and forgettingeverything. And you can kind of
(59:08):
begin to feel at ease in thenothingness here, this sort of
comfort of not knowing your owntroubles. As your troubles are
washed away, you forget everybad memory, recent or old,
everything that's evertranspired in your life, even
the good times, but in thismoment, you really only feel
(59:33):
still. And if this moment couldgo on forever, that might be
okay. It would never be bad. Itwould never be good. But you
could just be here. And what Ineed to know is what in the back
of your mind what small bitcould kind of either push you
(59:58):
forward or keep you Do you wantto stay?
Bruce (01:00:03):

have feelings of seeking,
seeking people finding reason topush forward something to find

(01:00:39):
those you cared for. And as youattach to these things, you can
feel all the feelings flood backinstantaneously. It is almost
overwhelming. The emotions thatyou feel in this moment, anger,
aggression, happiness, sadness, longing, want everything all at
once. And these things propelyou forward through this
(01:01:01):
darkness you can feel thatrippling all around you, and
then you can find yourselffacing a light in front of you.
And at breakneck speed you arebarreling towards it and you
both finally feel each other'spresence. And as you look
towards each other and look backat the light, the darkness
dissipates. And in front of you,you see this monstrous,
(01:01:23):
undulating wave of darkness andthis thing screeches as it
realizes you're in front of it.
Once again, it is the giantthing that touched you the waves
of blackness that brought youinto drift realm. Besides you
you can see the goblin who youpushed out earlier Archie pushed
out of the way of this thing.
(01:01:46):
And you can see the black holecollective group Onyx company
looking on in fear of this, thisincomprehensible being and this
awful screeching rings outacross the land as it says form
seems to begin to turn and moveback towards the east from
whence it came.
Will (01:02:07):
