ESTANDARIZAR LA COLOCACIÓN DE DISPENSADORES MONTADOS EN LA PARED EN LAS HABITACIONES DE LOS HOTELES

Considerando que, en los últimos años, muchos hoteles están proporcionando productos de cuidado personal como champú, acondicionador, jabón y loción utilizando dispensadores reutilizables montados en la pared ubicados en las áreas de ducha y lavabo de las habitaciones de los huéspedes; y
Considerando que, no existe una ubicación u orden estándar para cómo se organizan estos dispensadores; y
Considerando que, el hecho de no tener estos dispensadores colocados en un orden y ubicación estándar dificulta que los huéspedes del hotel ciegos o con baja visión sepan qué dispensador es cuál; y
Visto y considerando: Que esta falta de consistencia también dificulta que el personal del hotel proporcione esta información a los huéspedes ciegos o con baja visión.
Ahora, por lo tanto, sea resuelto por el Consejo Americano de Ciegos en convención reunida virtualmente este día XX de junio de 2025 que esta organización trabaje con la Asociación Americana de Hoteles y Alojamientos y las principales cadenas hoteleras para desarrollar un procedimiento para la colocación estándar de dispensadores reutilizables en las áreas de ducha y lavabo de las habitaciones de los hoteles.
Y resuélvase, además, que se envíen copias de esta resolución al Presidente de la Asociación Americana de Hoteles y Alojamientos, y a los jefes de las principales cadenas hoteleras.
