Episode 19 –Carl Craig - A Wonderful Life

It’s 1989, and you’re at the Town and Country club in Kentish Town, London, excited to see one of your favourite Detroit producers, Derrick May, perform as Rhythim Is Rhythim. You’ve been at the venue for a couple of hours and it has already been a huge night, with Rhythim Is Rhythim about to follow the set from the wildly popular group Inner City, who feature Derrick’s fellow Detroit icon, Kevin Saunderson. As you look to the stage you are thrilled to notice that Derrick is taking his position behind his equipment. To your surprise, though, you observe that someone else is onstage with him.
