AMD is developing a new version of its upscaling technology called FSR Redstone, which was previewed at Computex 2025. This technology aims to compete with Nvidia's DLSS by incorporating machine learning. Key features include neural radiance caching, machine learning ray regeneration, and AI frame generation, designed to improve visual fidelity and performance in games. While the recently released FSR 4 is being expanded to support more games, FSR Redstone, set for release in late 2025, will natively support RDNA 4 GPUs, with compatibility for older hardware yet to be confirmed. This move demonstrates AMD's focus on utilizing AI for enhanced graphics capabilities.
