Mary for failing to change her life for the better. However,

she failed to capture the souls of two mirons in
Jensen and Calvin. Once thought irredeemable, they were able to
make better choices and change their fates. Hell Weaver tied
the soul count at two to two when Laura Lee
Hardy believed she had changed her fate for the better,

only to have ultimately failed. Now her soul waits in reserve,
along with that of aids Mary, hell Weaver has left
Perdition in her astral form to make her final second
chance offer to the one and only Bella Tabon. In
the conclusion to Deadly Second Chances by Rob Fields, present

a vampire nest just outside Strickfield. Felicia Mirren, the mutant
Spider Girl, has been helping us out on our missions.
Between the three of us, we take down a lot
of AI empires. When Ainy saw that article in the

Strickfield Journal about a school bus full of cheerleaders from
Ridgeway Heights that disappeared in the area we're in now,
she quickly came to me. From there we contacted Felicia.
The nest was numerous with the addition of the cheerleaders. Unfortunately,
there was no saving them since they claimed innocent blood

to seal their transformations. After we finished clearing the nest,
Felicia webbs the whole house and brings it down. Then
I use my cheap parlor tricks to start a roaring
bonfire and burn all that timber, making sure no vampires
are left. Hain't it funny? Three Strickfield High cheerleaders against

the Ridgeway Heights cheerleaders, and it ain't even about sports
this time? Suddenly a bright light appears near us. If

I sigh. I can't allow hell Weaver to escape Perdition.
She's the single most dangerous threat to the entire multiverse,
even worse than Patrick Gunter. That would be entirely on
me if she got out of perdition just for refusing

the compact. I ain't got a choice. Felicia's jaw drops
and her eight legs kinda shake, like she might have
just found out her fiance cheated on her or something.
Then she says to hell Weaver, you truly are a vile,
horrible monster. Silence mutant. You do not speak to me

unless I command it. This correspondence is between Bella Tabon
and myself. I raise my hand in front of me.

and fuck you, I accept. Hell Weaver chuckles again. Of

I gotta think for a moment. Then I remember the
day in eighteen eighty nine when I became a master
vampire and Thornton Jillian had the last laugh on me.
I swore revenge when he slaughtered my family, leaving me
as the last Tabon. It was our battle where I

killed him. First, I staked him by putting him on
a tree spike. Then I decapitated him. I was badly
hurt and passed out from injuries and blood loss. Jillian's

and I ain't breathing. I shoot out of bed and
go to my full length mirror. When I don't see

another me staring back, I'm confused. I should be human
again in eighteen eighty nine, but I'm still quasi undead.
I'm still tainted with Thornton Jillian's vile blood. Also, I
remember everything Graham's once told me the second Chance compact

lets you keep your current brain when you go back.
My heart beats faster when I hear hey, Runt, you
coming down for breakfast. That's Nicholas, my asshole older brother.
Oh but I don't care. I changed my clothes and
race downstairs to find the family in the kitchen. Graham's

got breakfast ready. I go sit next to Grams. Better
eat good, little devil, he tells me. Then it's another
day's training. Yes, sir, I reply. It feels like a
vividly beautiful dream. But soon the Freddy Krueger of my
dreams rears her head, Cassie, I gasp. Cassie's a vampire

alien hybrid from Treylond, her home world. Our family took
her as a deal with Dracula to save Grams. Cassie's
actually Dracula's daughter, and her mother was Treylond Royalty. Cassie
was only a year old when our family took her,
and she looked like she was four. She grew into

a humanoid woman with long blonde hair past her ass
and huge breasts, much like other treylonned females. She eventually
seduced Nicholas and started sleeping with him, unbeknownst to any
of us except for future me. Now, Cassie approaches the

abundant cleavage, but her red eyes are right on me.
Gramp says, we're facing off today and training. She gives

She comes at me and starts laying into me. She

When Cassie started refusing to eat with the family, I'd

before it massively grew over the years to become Shore City,
was finding dead bodies frequently, I knew. I investigated Cassie
and found her washing herself in a lake. Her bloody

clothes were on the ground and she had blood all
over herself. Unfortunately I wasn't quiet enough. Cassie easily saw
me with her night vision and gave me her evil stare,
confirming what I knew about her killing innocence for food.

Speaker 4 (19:47):
You're not safe yet, weekly Spooky will be right back.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
Getting back to now, Cassie shows her speed and lands
hits on me. She sure ain't pulling her punches. At
one point, she clocks me good and knocks me on
my ass. I'm quickly back on my feet and lay
into Cassie myself. Oh the look on her face when

she sees I ain't just gonna stand there and die
for her. I love being my future self here. The
more Cassie and me fight, the more our hatred for
each other comes out. Cassie's learned from Gramps's training sessions,
for sure, because she's giving me a good fight. But
this ain't no sparring match. This is a fight to

(20:38):
the death, and it's quite evident when Gramps tells us
to stop fighting each other and we don't. Nicholas comes
up behind Cassie and tries restraining her, but she throws
him off easily. She goes full on vamp and comes
at me again today you die, Bella. Now we're truly

(20:59):
locked in mortal combat. Okay, immortal combat. Cassie and Me
throw everything we got at each other. We're both just
punching and kicking away. We can't keep our hands off
each other. All the hate we feel is coming out here.
We don't even listen to Gramps when he orders us

both to stop, especially when we're damaging shit little devil.
Gramps gasps when he sees how quick I heal up.
When Cassie lands what would have been a lethal scratch
on me, since the cat's out of the bag, I

she expected. We both scream and keep fighting to the death.
When I remember everything Cassie did in my old timeline,
especially learning she was secretly Thornton, Gillian's lover and our betray,
I know I gotta stop her. When we reach a

wooden fence, I break off a few planks and put
them together into a cross. Once I have faith, Cassie
holds her hands out in front of her and screams.
Then I touch my makeshift crucifix to her hands. Note
this does not work on me, along with the other

vampire weaknesses. Get away from me, Cassie shrieks, jumping back.
Get away, talk about sweet revenge. Cassie failed to kill me,
just like before. Now she sees her hands are burned
and glares right at me. This isn't over Bella. I

will kill you, she swears, all of you. Gramps has
finally had enough of Cassie and banishes her from Ravenhenge.
The deal with Dracula be damned. Cassie's still vamped out,
ready to attack Gramps. I don't even think twice about
it and warp in between Cassie and him. I groan

a little when Cassie swipes her claws and catches me
under my chest. When I heel up again, I know
I got a stopper, and I especially don't care about
the pact with Dracula. This is my family. With all
the determination and hate I feel for Cassie, I scream

(23:29):
and drive one of the fence posts right through her heart.
Cassie gasps and just stares right at me. Eventually she
falls onto her back and passes out. Gramps and Nicholas
are still shocked at seeing I'm a vampire myself. That's

when Grahams appears next to me. That's right, she's a
vampire herself. Should have been obvious, seeing she looks twenty
years younger than That was the deal Dracula made with
him after Thornton Jillian put Grams on death's waiting list.
Dracula couldn't have played the devil's advocate any better. That day,

he promised Gramps he would save Grams if the family
would take his daughter and keep her safe. He didn't
even care if Gramps trained her as a tabon. Truly,
Dracula cared for Cassie enough to entrust her to an
enemy like Solomon Tabon, the patriarch of our clan, as

a Tabon. Gramps would have said no, but Anathea was
his soulmate and he couldn't bear to be without her.
He knew we kids couldn't either, and accepted the deal.
Dracula sired Grams and taught her the vampire ways before
releasing her back to Gramps. Even though she was a

vampire now, Graham's was still Grams. Dracula handed Cassie over
to mom and Dad. Thornton Gillian eventually learned of Cassie
and planned his attack. When Gram's figure Gillian was targeting Cassie,
he contacted Mom and Dad and told him to bring

all of us kids to Ravenhenge Immediately. Long story short,
Gillian intercepted my family. Mom and Dad fought against him valiantly,
but Gillian killed them both before he could kill Nicholas
and me and take Cassie. Grams and Grahams arrived and

fought him off. Okay, Cassie had no part in killing
my parents, but she just never seemed to care. This
was why I refused to call her family or cut
her a brake. We would learn Cassie's alien half rendered
her an able to care, and being a vampire made

her much worse. She couldn't be redeemed. The older she got,
the more evil she became, the more she only cared
for herself. Come with me, little devil, Graham says in
her motherly tone and takes my hand, Just touching Rams again.

my pain and anxiety of carrying my family's deaths with

arms and face her. Then, out of the corner of

Cassie to the dungeon and lock her up, Nicholas Grahams
tells him. But then the state comes out of Cassie
like something was literally pushing it right out of her. Suddenly,
Cassie gets back to her feet and vamps out again.

I'm going to drink you up, she hisses at Gramps
and Nicholas.

Did you hear that? Better check the locks on your doors? Weakly,
Spooky will be right back.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
I vamp out again myself, like hell you will. Cassie
and me leap at each other again. She's so determined
to kill the rest of the family that she becomes
that much more dangerous. She claws my face, temporarily blinding me.
I feel my healing factor working. When I hear Cassie

howling insanely, I quickly leap her way. I feel myself
collide with her and take her down. That's when I
have my eyes back. Now how the family watches as
Cassie and I continue our fight to the death. Cassie's
no master vampire, but her alien side makes her just

as strong as me. We continue our fight until the
later afternoon. We're both unstoppable and can push ourselves further
than mortals. So much hatred between her and me. I
haul off on Cassie and give her everything I can
throw at her. She betrayed our family. She turned to evil.

One way or another, I will stop her, and then
I see the means to stop her and lock her away.
You will never give my family to Thornton Jillian, you bitch.
I point at her. After I finish you, then I'm
gonna kill him. I shift back to human form, and

you both. Cassie screams one more time and lunges right
at me. I quickly duck and let her slam right
into a tree. She screams again from the pain. This
time I saw that sharp point sticking out of the

take her to the secret Tabon burial ground in Ravenhenge
and place her within her own vault. There, her body
will wither away like death and remain that way as
long as some dumbass doesn't open her vault and remove
the cross or steak. Go to hell, Cassie, I tell

her when we close and lock her vault. Gramps and
I don't say anything to each other, though I know
the family will want an explanation for why I'm a vampire.
There's no point hiding it. After all, the whole point
of my coming back to this time was to save

my family, and God damn it, I will keep my
family alive, and Little Devil is already putting her own
master plan together. Eight months later, the day finally comes
when Thornton Gillian attacks the Tabon family at Ravenhenge. Prior

to that, I trained like I never trained in my life.
I really let Gramps work me, never complained once. Nicholas
still calls me runt, even though he knows I'm a
master vampire. But I show him I can match him
in fights. I know Nicholas has killed two master vampires

threat to our family to date. I still remember how
Thornton Gillian slaughtered what was left of our family. I
already changed history by staking and binding Cassie During that

initial fight, Cassie was seemingly on our side, then she
turned on us. Nicholas was fighting Thornton Gillian and winning.
It was Cassie who distracted Nicholas long enough for Gillian
to take his opening and kill him. All Cassie had

the family, but she shared in drinking their blood with
Gillian after he slaughtered them. That was when I learned
she was Gillian's lover. Well, Gillian's gonna be on his

how Thornton Gillian crossed the barrier into Ravenhenge which was

Graham's was prepared too. You knew I had to tell

her I was from the future. At first, Grahams forbade
me to talk about it, but I had to disobey
her and tell the family. When they knew I wasn't kidding,
I laid out my plan. Of course, Nicholas was pissed
at me. He always was a sexist pig, and no,

be the big hero. No little runt turned master vampire.
The entire Tabon family in Ravenhenge comes and attacks Thornton Gillian,
throwing everything we've got at the second most powerful master
vampire to exist, with Dracula being the king. Jillian proves

his power and keeps all of us on our guard.
Graham's is doing the most damage to him. She's nowhere
near as powerful as Gillian on her own, since he's
got many more years as a vampire over her. Her magic, however,
is the difference maker. Nicholas finally puts his sexist pride
aside and works with me. At one point, he lowers

himself to all fours for me to leap onto him
off his back to fly at Gillian. Unfortunately, I ain't
as fast as I thought. Jillian easily sees me and
moves to swap me away, but I warp right behind
him and swot him away instead. When Jillian gets up,

(34:53):
he warps to Nicholas and snatches him close. No way,
Lightning's gonna strike twice. I slip right underneath Nicholas and
actually grab Jillian by the balls. Believe it or not,
this very move is why Graham started calling me little Devil.
Nicholas got over confident during a sparring match. He was

clearly dominant over me, but I ended up doing to
him what I'm doing to Jillian. If there's anything I
learned in those days as the youngest Tabon, it was
a male's most vulnerable point. When Jillian's screaming, That shows
even the second most powerful master vampire can be hurt.

When you attack those two little jingleberries. Jillian lets go
of Nicholas. He didn't run though. When I grab hold
of him from behind. Nicholas quickly wets a steak with
holy water and drives it right into his heart. Jillian
screams again. He breaks my hold on him and knocks

Nicholas away. Grams comes to Gillian when I make I
can scream again after another squeeze down there, and shoves
a handful of holy wafers into his mouth. Gramps snatches
me up before Jillian can and runs me to safety.
He puts me down and gives me a weird look.

You wicked little devil. I smirk. He always said to
use my head, Gramps. Jillian is hurt bad and runs
for it. It's time to put an end to this
shit once and for all. I run after him. What
are you doing, little devil? Gramps yells behind me, this

ends tonight. I yell back. I'm burning with determination to
both end Jillian and make sure my family stays safe
and alive. I just got them back, goddamn it. I'll
die first before I ever lose them again. Knowing the

Jillian grabs hold of me and slices me below my chest,
just like he did during our original final battle. I'm
bleeding fast, but not for long, Thornton, Jillian will die
this day. I will make sure my family lives know this.

When you die, you son of a bitch, you made
me into what I am today, It'll be your own power.
That'll be the end of you. Here and now. Suddenly,
Jillian roars and gets back to his feet to snatch
me to him. I break his hold on me and
grab him. I turn him around and throw him into

(39:41):
the very same tree where I ended him in my
original timeline. Jillian screams when the sharp branches come out
through the front of his chest. He tries to pull
himself free, but I don't let that happen. He glares
right at me as blood seeps out of his mouth.

(40:01):
I shall return Bella Tabon. I shall find you and
make it new more powerful tribe using your womb. I
raise my hands and give Jillian two middle fingers. I
can never have children. You saw to that yourself in

(40:24):
a former life. And now I throw as much of
my hatred and rage into my final blow against Gillian
as I possibly can, and knock his goddamn block clean off.
His head goes flying several yards into a field. I
quickly move and retrieve the head. I return to Gillian's

(40:46):
slain body and use my cheap parlor tricks to set
the body on fire. Then I dropped the head and
set it on fire too. I know now that hell
Weaver will never claim my soul. Since I know I've
bettered my life, I've saved my family, and the Tabon

(41:10):
family bloodline is guaranteed to live on. I hope you
burn in everlasting pain and suffering while you're in hell.
Jillian two thoy and twenty. A part of me wondered
if hell Weaver would come for me at some point.

(41:33):
I waited and waited, but she never showed up. I
ultimately wouldn't return to the present. I remembered until I
got there on my own through the natural course of time.
Even though I killed Thornton Jillian and burned his body twice,
I'm still a master vampire. I don't get it. If

Hell Weaver returning me to eighteen eighty nine didn't restore
me to human, then shouldn't killing Jillian myself have restored
me to human again? But no, I still have all
my powers. I even learned some new ones over the
course of my do over. I guess Thornton Jillian still

has the last laugh on me. After all. I returned
to my family and told them what happened. Oh did
I ever catch hell from everybody for going after Thornton
Gillian all on my own. On a more positive note,
since I still have my monstrous appetite, I can enjoy
more of Graham's home cooking. Believe me, she don't mind

(42:40):
feeding me. Speaking of time itself, I would eventually lose
members of my family. Grahams and Nicholas both grew old
and passed on when their times came. Grahams did offer
to sire them, but they refused. By the way, Nicholas

(43:00):
and I each found companions and got married. Want to
hear something really crazy. It was one thing for Nicholas
and his wife to have kids since they're both mortals,
but I myself actually had kids of my own with
my husband. I definitely have stories to tell you about

(43:20):
my marriage. Still, I guess I shouldn't bitch, since having
kids is what keeps the Tabon family bloodline going. The
kids Nicholas and I made with our spouses have since
grown up and taken spouses of their own, and they
are raising kids themselves. Then they took spouses and made

(43:42):
babies too. As for Grahams, she became the new head
of the Tabon family. My sister in law, Veda, would
die of old age a few years after Nicholas. After
the family buried Veda, Grahams and I left Ravenhenge. Graham's
Magic's told her about strange things going on in the

(44:04):
village of Strickfield, so we decided to move there. Since
other vampires have been trying to get into Ravenhenge to
gain Cassie's body, Graham's figured it would be better if
we took it with us and kept it locked away.

U sh it was only the wind. You're safe, weekly, spooky.

Speaker 1 (44:36):
One week later, Graham's and I settled into our new
house in Strickfield. At our private burial grounds, Cassie's body
is locked in its new home inside a new burial vault,
where it'll be safe and secure. I know more and
more that I changed my life for the better. I

(44:58):
got my family back right, and we're still growing. Speaking
of family, I got to keep my promise to Aine
and Felicia and track them down. I still remember the
exact times when I met both of them and can
just position myself. Yes, there were other changes to my timeline,

(45:19):
but many stayed the same. Hopefully things with AINI and
Felicia can be the same again as before. I leave
the house to run some errands for Grams. When I'm
crossing Gunter Square, there she is Hell Weavers, standing just
ahead of me. She don't waste any time. I know

(45:43):
you must think that you have defeated me bela tabon.
She raises her finger. I am here personally to assure
you that you have not. I point back to her.
I was your fifth and final soul in the compact.
I changed my life for the better. You ain't getting

(46:05):
my soul face at Hell Weaver. You lost Hell Weaver
laughs scornfully. Yes, you have made quite the new life
for yourself, Bella Tabon. However, suddenly this sucubus looking demon
descends and lands next to hell Weaver. This is Sin,

(46:30):
my daughter. She was the key to my salvation. This
sin looks just like her mother, only hell Weaver doesn't
have a pointy tail. She's giving me a sinister smirk.
That's right, Tabon, and now my mother is free at

(46:51):
long last. I tighten my fists. Bullshit, I glare at
hell Weaver. You came to me with the second chance compact.
I accepted it, and one which means you stay imprisoned
in perdition. Hell Weaver chuckles. I see that you require

(47:12):
proof of my freedom very well. Suddenly hell Weaver's on
me and grabs me. She's far too powerful for me
to break loose. When she easily slams me into the
ground with one hand, I can feel she ain't even
trying as she beats the living shit out of me.
Soon she pins me down. I can't break free. Are

(47:36):
you satisfied now that I am no longer imprisoned within perdition?
Hell Weaver asks, I did indeed gain the three souls?
That I required to finally escape perdition. How the hell
could you have done that? I demand, I was your
final soul. I beat you now, I hear sin laugh. Hey, Tabon,

(48:02):
you ever heard of loopholes? Ah? Yes, loopholes are so
easy to find in print. Hell Weaver agrees. It is
true that I did not gain your soul. However, this
was never about your soul. Tabon, you possess intelligence. Figure

(48:24):
it out. What are you going to do? Kill me now,
I yell, I could easily end your immortality this day,
but I shall not. She lets me go and watches
me get back up. Go find and form your new
battle guard. You have until I have completed a new

(48:47):
reality sphere and am ready to finally claim the multiverse.
How did you gain your third soul? If it wasn't me,
I demand again, you owe me that. Hell Weaver smiled
very well. Believing that you might not retain your soul,

(49:08):
one close to you offered to take your place. There
is nothing written within the compact preventing that. Hence the loophole.
You were released from the Second Chance Compact to live
your new life as you chose without consequence. Unfortunately, the

(49:28):
one who agreed to take your place was not so fortunate,
allowing me to gain my third soul, And now I
am free once more. I leave it to you to
learn who it was that took your place. Farewell, Tabon,

(49:49):
we shall most certainly meet again. She turns to Sin, Now,
my baby, do you understand the importance of following the rules? Yes,
you're so right, mom, Sin answers as they fly away together.

(50:11):
I'm too weak to pursue them, even at full strength.
What could I do? Maybe I can stop Sin, But
hell Weaver is a goddess. Now that she's free, the
entire multiverse is on borrowed time. I pray that AINI
wasn't the one who struck the bargain with hell Weaver,

(50:31):
But who else could it have been? I waste no
time in quickly head back home and tell Grahams everything.
After we talk, I leave the house to begin my
quest of seeking out and putting together a new battleguard.
As for Grahams, she's gonna call Ravenhenge and get someone

(50:52):
in the family to come to Strickfield to help her.
Whatever the case, hell Weaver must be stopped. Not the end,
Bella Tabon saved her family she changed her fate, but

(51:13):
she didn't stop hell Weaver. Now freed from perdition, the
Goddess has her eyes back on the multiverse, and a
mysterious soul has already been sacrificed to let her escape.
Who gave up everything to save Bella? And can the
Battleguard rise up before all is lost? The Second Chance

Compact may be over, but the real horror is just beginning.
