Speaker 5 (07:07):
I'm just saying, look, it's a little too early for
I'm not a raw rock guy at six A.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
You're not a raw rock guy at six pm.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
Sometimes if a wager's going, well, okay, yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Okay, you're just not a raw rock guy. You're just
not And that's okay. But I was.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
I was more or less poking the bear, you know,
a little bit, to just sort of, you know, I
kind of enjoy that.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
I'm still upset that I screwed up my date that
bread and I got to do it all against I
too lose.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Get the pits out of the dates. You want the
fresh dates.

Speaker 5 (07:36):
You don't want the ones that are already chopped up
because they're too dry, and we'll get the job done,
but they're not as good as fresh dates.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
You don't hear a lot about date nut bread, not
knocking it.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
I would eat it. I would eat it.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
Molasses in there wouldn't be my first choice, not with
the banana bread out there.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
As soon as bread. As soon as you left the house,
i'd fee you can't the dates. I'm sure he'll love him. No,
I don't think grapes in that family are not good
for dogs. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
He doesn't care, certainly, God, he doesn't care about me
a buddy dogs.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Yeah, uh all right, Well, welcome everybody. Wednesday. We got
five things you need to know coming up. It was
a lot. There's a lot that I could bring up
right now. I'm just you know, I was on the
phone with Scotty.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
He got wicked, snappy, wicked, like quickly, like zero to sixty.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
I'm like, whoa, I don't know what to do. I
hung up. Well, we'll get back to that, get back
to that. I just I didn't say anything.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
I'm driving, right, I'm driving on the road, and I
look at the at you know, I look at where
the radio is, right where it says the phone call,
and I'm looking at his name, and I'm going boom out.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
I just bailed. I just pulled the action seat makes
it even more mad.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
I just there was there was a couple of things
that had happened on the way home yesterday that kind
of aggravated me. And then when somebody calls you, we've
come too far, like drop serious, serious, we can we
can operate on a baby that's inside of its mother,
but we can't get a clear phone signal. And it's

(09:22):
not all him, because I have noticed, like the last
couple of weeks we've talked about the phone.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Sometimes it's just like I go sit in the living.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
Room and I'm bogging on the phone and the phone
the line gets dropped, and I'm like, are you serious?
I am, I am minutes away from two army bases,
but we can't get a phone signal.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
Yeah, it's no, no, and may I get angry about that.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
It's like I finally get a chance to go home
and I put on like Netflix, and I'm like I
got like a half an hour to myself, and that
wheel spin and that wheel spend.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
Then it says, you know, having a problem.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Really, every we pay the bill, we paid the on
the cable bill, right, I pay the cable bill.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
I don't make you guys chase the money. You're don't
have to call the house.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
You're not one of those cut the cord people who
then has to deal with the internet.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Right, I asked for very little. Yeah, that's it. Yeah, work,
that's it. I want to eat.

Speaker 3 (10:20):
I want to watch the last thirty minutes of this
Del Toro document.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
Yeah, it looks great, of course it's yeah. All right,
we've come too far. How is it? Signal?

Speaker 1 (10:30):
You could be on a major three like four lane highway,
four lane highway and you you get off one ectit
you go down one hundred yards.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Of cell phone dis does that used to go? Triple
h called us from a mud hut? That's true, that's
crystal clear signal. Yeah, yeah, crystal clear. Yeah, you're in
the island. Crystal clear signal. Called you from a what's
the bigger than a nice bird? What's that thing? They
call it a glacier? I called you from a glacier,
Crystal clear signal. But I'm sorry, I can't talk to

(10:58):
to in summer in Rochester. Ridiculous. All right, we've come
to fun people, all right?

Speaker 1 (11:04):
Well, anyway, dogs can eat dates in moderations, okay, in moderation,
white dates be.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
In the same family as grapes.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
All right, well don't they go in moderation kids? All right,
let's not feed them everything you get if you don't
put them.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
Thank you, Kelly. Four three, two counts five things you
need to know. Becture just aren't where you need to
know it yet.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Brought to by Sea Coast Stone Marble and granted they're
therefore a seacoasts largest selection of.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
Marble, granited and courts countertops. They are on Route one,
I mean.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
Hampton Falls, severer GlnE. They straddle two towns. They can't
even be contained by one town. They're right in the line.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
Sea Coast Stone dot Com is the way you check
them out.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
So each of us bring something different on the table
we think will be of value to you, something that
maybe you know, missave your money, save your time, pain
in the rear end, whatever.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
But Scotty starts us off.

Speaker 3 (12:03):
All right, guys, this is what women find hot when
it comes to facial hair. If you're still rocking the
mutton chops, you know, like Wolverine had only one percent
of women find that attractive.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
Clean shaven three percent.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
Wow, The anchor beard like Tony Stark had three percent.
The thin, pencil thin, pencil mustache six percent.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
It's a creeper. A pencilton mustache is a creeper mustache.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Vince McMahon looks like a creeper with that mustache.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
You get rid of it.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
The handlebar mustache comes in at seven percent, the neat
go tee nine percent.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
Firefighters get the pass on the handlebar mustache if they
want it.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
Yeah, all right, here's what the full beard thirteen percent,
light stubble sixteen percent, and ladies and gentlemen, because of
mister Tom Selleck, the chevron mustache comes in at nineteen.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
Way too bush dude, way too bushy. That big, that
thing's probably like a half enough for me, right, that
is not I am, and I have a mustache. I
keep it trimmed very very close.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
I don't want the hair curling down on my lips
and then stuff gets on it, and then you get
it's picking you get out up above the lip line.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
You got to get rid of that tea for a
very long time.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
And really, the the goatee is officially described as just from.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
The the from your mouth down.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
It's not supposed to be a mustache, so it's supposed to.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
Be Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, So I have the
I have the thin side beard, which I've let grow
in November, and uh yeah, the mustache and the beard's gray.
It's all gray. Strangely, the hair on my head is gray. Strangely,
the eyebrows are dark brown. I I don't know. There's
there was a rumor going around. People were staying online.

(14:00):
Why does he die his eyebrows? I don't die anything. Okay,
I don't die anything, and if I did, I would
tell you.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
So any true. I don't get it. All right, there
you go. There's one. Uh, Erica, what do you got?

Speaker 7 (14:13):
Using aluminum foil for leftovers could kill you?

Speaker 2 (14:16):
Question mark.

Speaker 7 (14:19):
According to readers Digest, they talk to an expert who
says aluminum foil might not be the best choice for leftovers.
They listed a few reasons, but here's the main one.
If that turkey is still warm and you put it
in the fridge, using aluminum foil will keep it warm
for longer than plastic wrap does, and that gives the
bacteria more time to grow. The danger zone for food
poisoning is one O four to one. That's when bacteria

(14:41):
grows fastest and foil can keep it inside That window
for longer oiled again. Yeah, it says, don't worry too
much about it, even though even with foil you're probably fine.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
So you know, tell you too much, it's probably good.
I uh, I love the aluminum foil. See, I love
you a little bit, A little bit.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
I don't want, you know what I don't want. I
don't want saran wrap. I don't want anything of my
food wrapped in seran wrap. I'll put it in a baggie,
put it in a ziploc bag if you give. If
if I go to a store and I don't buy
sandwiches at stores that are wrapped in ceram wrap because
ceram wrap.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
Creeps me out, and that's I'm just trying to unroll.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
And also, if you've gotten like a lot of tattoo
work done usually at night, you put the stuff the
stuff you're supposed to put and wrap it saran wrap.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
It's a battle.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
Yeah, I'll put I'll put seran wrap over a dish.
I don't mind that.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
I just don't want it actually touching the food. I
can weate it up. By that you microwave? You mean
you put? Is that we're talking about? No, I don't
put the ceram wrap in a microwave.

Speaker 5 (15:43):
I use paper plates in the microwave genius boom, and
you can just throw them out maybe use them once
or twice.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
Did you think of that on your own? Yeah, that
is amazing. Or paper bowls, Wow, amazing. I got to
look into that all this stuff.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
Can't wait to try your non date rep someday, someday.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
I can't wait to try it. Paper plate and then
and then I never thought of that.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
I got it on it.

Speaker 6 (16:03):
What you miss?

Speaker 2 (16:04):
Yeah, I know, get crazy and throw a paper towel
over it cover. Now, that is exactly what I do.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
The other night I did pasta and I didn't do that.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
I had Stacy's chili. Uh and it was delicious.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
You know. Stacey made a chili for all three of
us and and nothing for Kelly.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
Uh. That was hilarious and the chill.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
But when you heat it up in the microwave, you
got a fold of paper towel and half put it
over the bowl in case of plate. No Kelly over
the bowl because in case it pops, it doesn't get
anything on the roof of the Yeah, that's why you
use the paper plate. Okay, all right, I.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
Thought the paper plate under it. I thought the paper
plate under it. Like I also was thinking not.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
All right, all right, sorry, Kelly, not mad, like I
don't get what you're doing?

Speaker 2 (17:01):
All right? What do you got, Kelly?

Speaker 5 (17:02):
It could be another option rather than a colonoscopy to
detect certain gastro intestinal issues. The results of a study
using mice published in American Chemical Society Journal suggests a
new pill may be able to replace colonoscopies in screenings
for colitis and other bowel related issues.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Well Oscari's, of course.

Speaker 4 (17:24):
Require day of prep, sometimes which includes fasting. They're the
standard for allowing doctors see the lining of the bowel
through a camera to look for signs of colitis and crownsfolk.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
We're making advancements, Scotty. Question about the sleep apnea?

Speaker 2 (17:43):
Okay, what I think I saw something today? No? No, no, no,
you're good, You're good.

Speaker 6 (17:49):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
This is about untreated.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
Untreated sleep apnea CAULD nearly double your risk of Parkinson's disease,
according to a new study. Okay, now, so look at
all right, So untreated for those that tell me what
the symptoms are, because this is what I this is
what I understand. Tell me if I'm wrong. Basically, your
heart is stopping in the middle of the night. Yes,

(18:12):
Basically you stop breathing for a period of time.

Speaker 3 (18:14):
Usually if the person next to you is like, you know,
awareness that like you in the middle of the night,
you've stopped breathing.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
Yeah, like you can hear the rhythm of their breathing
and all of a sudden it stops, right, Okay, And then.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
That's how I came about.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
But also at the same time, I was a person
that would do what I had to do and take
a nap, take a nap, take a nap, slept all
the time, and like I could sleep for like six
hours in the middle of the day and wake up
and still be tired.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
Yeah, So get it checked out so you don't have
that issue, because I don't have it right And and
you know, somebody was telling me, like, you probably have
seat sleep at me because I'm a I'm a larger American.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
I guess I must have it. I don't.

Speaker 3 (18:51):
Sometimes it goes back to being heavy. Yeah, yeah, and
it does because doctor will say to me all the time.
He will be like, well, you know, if you lose
a little bit of weight, and I'm like, I totally
agree with you. But you know it would be nice
is to have a little bit of energy to want.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
Yeah, you go for that. You've been good about good
about it.

Speaker 10 (19:08):
You know.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
I forced myself my no, my problem was snoring. It
wasn't trust me. My wife never sleeps. Every time I
opened my eyes at night, she's looking at me. Probably
think of a ways to you know, yeah, dispose me anyway.
Uh she would notice in a heartbeat. And uh so
I mouth taped for the snoring and it works great.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
So I'm sleeping great.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
So anyway, there you go. And also along there's that one.
I'm gonna give you this one as an issue. Huh,
I'm doing the biff. You're doing the bif myth, No,
what's the biff? You said, I'm doing the biff? I
did the fifth fifth? Thank you, okay, Ebcott. I had

(19:52):
to think back a couple of days to you. I
know it, trust me. I know. Wendy's is offering a
six seven, six seven cent Frosty's Friday.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
I had the same. I'm not gonna say sixty seven.
I'm gonna say six seven cent Frosty's on Friday. Everybody,
Hey for the for the Frosty's here hilarious. Also, I
am I am, I am certainly not mad at the Frosty.
You know, you can eat it with a spoon.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
It's gonna cup, It's all good, ready to go soft serve.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
I'll take it. Huh chocolate, thank you taking vanilla?

Speaker 3 (20:32):
And you know what you know, like if you do
go there, they're like, hey, you know for for you know,
a dollar more, we can give you a gift book.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
And you're like Frosty's kales.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
Yeah, all right, all right, well there you go.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
So there's a there's your five things you uh you
need to know.

Speaker 6 (20:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
There was another one about older.

Speaker 1 (20:52):
Motorists showing sharp confidence drop in future driving ability.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
Future.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
I'm just worry about the now. Everybody, let's think about
being on the I'm not gonna worry about how I'm
driving in ten years. I'm concentrating on my driving now. Okay,
stop worrying about things that are down the pike.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
Look in front of you.

Speaker 5 (21:11):
Could take a precipitous drop while you think your rope,
while you still think you're okay, right.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
But what I'm saying, Kelly is don't worry about what
is three years from now. Concentrate on that. Notice that
your driving ability is maybe reduced now. Huh yeah, my
dad's kind of like, I don't want to drive at
night anymore. A good call, good call, you know, because
we were on it. He was he went through a
period where in some of you who have dealt with this, No,
you're going to be right where I'm going to tell you.
We were at my dad had a heart attack and.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
Didn't want them to drive, so took the keys. Right.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
Generally, adults don't like it when you take their keys,
especially older men. In my experience, they become very agitated
because you are robbing them of their individual ally all
that stuff. Anyway, even though it was for the best,
you know, when you have to take your keys from
your elderly parent, it is not pleasant, not pleasant at all,

(22:08):
unless you're lucky enough and they go, yeah, yeah, you're right,
I don't want to drive, I'm nervous, blah blah blah.
But that was when he was coming out of the
heart trigger. And then he's fine, he's still he's still driving.
Not in the car with him, but I'm not he still,
he's still driving.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
No, he's fine, he's fine, all right.

Speaker 3 (22:24):
It is six just every once in a while, walk
around the car like they do when you return to
U haul.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
Had a little sticker corner. Okay, this this scratch was
already there. Yeah right, yeah, this is new. I got you,
I got.

Speaker 10 (22:35):
You, all right?

Speaker 2 (22:36):
Well, everybody there you go.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
We uh, there's are five things. We have a lot
of stuff happening today. Tom's gonna come in and hang
out with us in a little while. Ago, who's the douchebag?

Speaker 3 (22:44):
I have a Erica sat over here and she goes,
who's headphones are these?

Speaker 2 (22:47):
And I'm like Greg's boyfriend.

Speaker 3 (22:50):
Everybody else that comes in they get whatever, they get
whatever shared that.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
I know they're like special, plugged in and ready for
that too.

Speaker 10 (22:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
Well he's my buddy, So I take care of my buddy.
You know that's a all right, thank you man. Hold on, okay,
so I will I will tell you.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
I will take a moment here and kind of bring
you up to speed as we sort of figure out
our way forward from where we currently are.

Speaker 2 (23:25):
I spent some time at Laura's house yesterday. She's doing
she's doing.

Speaker 1 (23:29):
Okay. You know when when we get asked that, we
get asked that all the time.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
How's Laura. How's Laura.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
Everybody's concerned, as are we. It's a hard answer. It's
a hard question to answer, right because anybody going through
what Laura's going through is up one moment, down the next.
Just and if I say good, I feel like it's
not fully expressing, you know, the totality of it. But she's, uh,

(23:58):
they're okay, everybody's okay. It is learning to navigate the
world as one would expect. But we did we did chat,
and I didn't go over there to discuss work. But
I know you're going to be surprised when I say
she brought it up. And she's sitting there cooking right

(24:20):
as Laura's I'm at the kitchen counter and she's cooking
chicken and I'm like, oh, is that dinner.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
She's like, no, that's for the dog. I'm like, well,
she does that.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
That's that's what I would cook for me, like she was.
It was actually ground turkey. I'm like, throw some taco
seasoning on that. I need it, you know. She's like, no, no, no,
this is for this is for otis. I'm like, okay,
all right, all right, I get it, but uh so,
uh what what she She's like all right, So what
do you think if I come back to work at
this point, I'm like, Laura, whatever date you tell me

(24:52):
is fine. As long as you want to wait. I
want you to. We want you to be comfortable, you know,
when you're ready. So Laura, will u rejoin us after
the first of the year. She needs time, She's got
it whatever she needs. We did talk about Lenda Helping
Can and we certainly are not going to give that up.

(25:12):
We are certainly going to honor our commitment to all
of those agencies that help feed people around around New
Hampshire and Vermont. So that's very important to all of us.
And I talked to her and I said, look, we
can go ahead and do it without you. I said,
but I think you want to do it. She goes,
You're damn right, I do. So I got scolded, you know,

(25:33):
got put in my place there, which we knew. We
knew that was the case. We don't want to do
without her because she wants to do it and we
need her. So we have picked a date for Lenda
Helping Can and it will be a Thursday and Friday
like it would normally be.

Speaker 2 (25:48):
It will be the fifteenth and sixteenth of January.

Speaker 1 (25:50):
Okay, Yeah, it's got to get some time, get a
feed under her, and it'll give us some time to breathe.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
We got Buzzball now coming up. That's coming up.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
So the fifteenth and sixteenth is going to be Lenda
helping can Dary Howe will be in live with us
to Varty check that off. Yeah, so all of those
things that we were gonna do are still gonna do.
We're still gonna raise as much money as we can.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
All the auction.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
Items are still good to go, and we'll get all
that wheels rolling as after the holidays. Okay, so there's
the update, all right. And one of the things that
Laura mentioned was the the outpouring of love and how
much they appreciate it very much, so almost it's it's

(26:34):
it's so much it's hard to take it all in.
If she if you have written messages or emails or
texts and you haven't gotten a response, yeah you got
to know, right, you got to know that it's very
much appreciated, but I would not expect a return message.
It's it's unrealistic given them the mountain that she has

(26:57):
she has gotten. So anyway, there's your update. She's good.
We laughed, we hugged. She helped me move a couple
of big, heavy things into the truck, so she's doing okay,
all right?

Speaker 2 (27:09):
On Wednesday, what did chance to see the Buzz in action?

Speaker 10 (27:18):
Check out the Buzz YouTube channel at morning Buzz TV.

Speaker 2 (27:22):
And now it's back to the Buzz.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
This is what happens when you give a guy a key.

Speaker 6 (27:28):
Hey, I got a lock pick.

Speaker 8 (27:29):
I know, I know.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
It is Wednesday, six forty five and looks like it's
gonna be a rainy day today, but the next couple
of days will be I don't know, mid forties and
pretty sunny.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
So that's pretty good. Tom bergeron joining.

Speaker 8 (27:42):
Us in the studios that buddy, Hello, I so appreciated
the Laura update.

Speaker 6 (27:46):
Yes, I heard that.

Speaker 8 (27:48):
Driving in I posted on one of the interwebs that
this show is more than a radio show. I think
you all know that it's part of the fabric of
this area. And that was never more evident than the
outpouring of love and support yeah for Laura, And in
the midst of that sadness was something really wonderful, And

(28:12):
I applaud you guys here and everybody among the regular
Buzz listeners.

Speaker 6 (28:18):
It was amazing.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
Yeah, it's hard to explain. Yeah, you know, and it's
hard to.

Speaker 2 (28:23):
Be in the middle of.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
And talk about it without getting emotional because I know,
I think, you know, but someone new, like say Erica
or somebody who's never done radio before. There are so
many shows that don't have that kind of relationship for
whatever reason, not their fault whatever. I'm just saying, incredibly
lucky to have the relationship we have with the audience,

(28:50):
and we never take that for granted, and it never
shows more than when the s hits the fan. Yeah right, Yeah.
And I think I said last week when we were
in the midst of it that, uh, I learned it
after Andy, that this relationship, which I always thought previously

(29:12):
was a one way relationship where we throw.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
Stuff out and it's just out there, and.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
I learned that it is a two way relationship where
we can feel it coming back, just like you felt
it going back to dancing last week, because you could tell, right,
I mean, just the overwhelming love.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
That you got got you, it got you.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (29:34):
Yeah, So did not particularly that show, did you get
the I you don't want to get back into it?

Speaker 2 (29:42):
Or was it just an not even a little dude.
He is finding so much joy god, you know.

Speaker 3 (29:54):
And and I thought that, and I truly do believe that,
but I just just wondering, you know, like because I
could see where it would it would get you a
game where you're like, oh this.

Speaker 8 (30:02):
Is yeah, no, no, they've done that now. Now that
is not to in any way minimize how wonderful it was. No,
the affection I have for those people, but you yeah, no,
I felt that, But no, I nobody's job is more
secure than everybody on that show right now.

Speaker 1 (30:22):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, really always particularly mean that show,
but just.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
No any show.

Speaker 6 (30:26):
Yeah, I mean you just say any show.

Speaker 1 (30:32):
They had the finale last night and I did not
get a chance to see it. Erico watch it, but
fell asleep. Rights and Robert One. Yeah yeah, yeah, I
was very happy. It wasn't that kind of like no,
no disrespect to the other dancers and stuff like that.
But it was he was the clear favorite, wasn't he
just because of no Am?

Speaker 8 (30:53):
I wrong?

Speaker 7 (30:53):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
People that I know wanted Alex Earl to win. A
lot of people were social media.

Speaker 7 (30:58):
Yes, TikTok and influencer, So I don't know. I thought
it was gonna between them.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
Who was the young crazy kid actor that was on there?

Speaker 8 (31:07):
I heard if he won there, we're going to riot
Corey Feldman. All right, Corey Felman, Corey Haye passed away.

Speaker 1 (31:11):
Corey Feldman, who who hit the show earlier this week
he was criticizing it.

Speaker 8 (31:16):
Yeah, yeah, whatever, Hey, go find Bobby Bones. Okay, let's
please not let let's not open forget. I know, I
know anyway, just for anybody who does. I gave about
one hundred and seventy thousand interviews leading up to the
twentieth birthday celebration.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
And you get tired, can you say things?

Speaker 8 (31:38):
And one of the things I said hurt Bobby's feelings
and I apologized and.

Speaker 6 (31:41):
It was good.

Speaker 1 (31:42):
It was never it was It was not a hurtful
comment at all. You you basically answered what everybody thought, right,
but thank you.

Speaker 8 (31:51):
But it hurt his feeling. Yeah yeah, and that's enough,
you know, So for that alone, I apologize. I met
the guy I met. The guy could not have been nicer.
And you have raved about how nice a guy he is.
And of course Craig didn't realize that he lives more
of a of a g lifestyle.

Speaker 3 (32:08):
Uh, you know, and Greg goes up and says something
kind of inappropriate, and and the two he couldn't get
away from Greg faster.

Speaker 2 (32:17):
What did you say first?

Speaker 1 (32:18):
Tom didn't know that Bobby Bones is the iHeartRadio Golden
boy him and Seacrest. Seacrest is pop, Bobby is country.

Speaker 10 (32:26):
Eric.

Speaker 6 (32:27):
He always told me, Hell.

Speaker 2 (32:28):
I trust they don't even know who I am. They
don't swear to God they know you bs, they do.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
But anyway, Bobby's the He's the big country guy and
he's a really good guy. And every time I mentioned
it that I that I met him or whatever, Scotty
comes back with this story which I had forgotten about
for a long period of time.

Speaker 6 (32:48):
Oh do tell Scotty.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
So we are at a radio conference and uh, you
know there's Bobby and Greg.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
He's all by himself.

Speaker 3 (32:59):
At year at a time, huge fan. I'll let run
over and get a picture with him and uh, you know,
send it to him. Okay, So I kind of walk
over and they do a quick photo and Greg, thank
you very much.

Speaker 2 (33:10):
My boss is gonna love this.

Speaker 3 (33:11):
Matter of fact, I bet he's gonna once he sees
the photo pleasure himself and his feet up.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
It was it was a moment when I knew in
a nanosecond that I didn't exactly but it's close.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
Enough what I said.

Speaker 1 (33:32):
And I had my I had my arm around him,
and I felt his body like oh no, oh no.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
And I didn't you know, and we weren't.

Speaker 1 (33:42):
It wasn't a video, just taking a picture, and I
automatically I screwed up, and I felt bad because I
don't want to make anybody uncomfortable.

Speaker 8 (33:51):
You know, I just in my head heard that sound
effect from the Flintstones when they were starting to run.

Speaker 6 (33:58):
Eric, you understood.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
That, you got it.

Speaker 2 (34:07):
I want to savor this moment. I a pop culture reference.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
I'll tell you under the reason she did is because
Scotty has been checking the and rechecking the email this
morning from our boss to see if we got the
day off.

Speaker 2 (34:23):
He's waiting on the show the day off. He's ready,
he's ready to get an email. As soon as he
gets it.

Speaker 3 (34:31):
I said to Greg, as soon as we get the email,
I'm gone. He goes, Dude, we got a we got
a special guest and tomorrow, and I know it's tom
He goes, it's a special guest, Dude, there's still out
of here.

Speaker 8 (34:46):
You're still out of it, alright, So Scotty specialist an
air quote it totally is?

Speaker 2 (34:53):
It totally is?

Speaker 6 (34:54):
All right.

Speaker 1 (34:55):
So there's a lot of stuff that I I want
to bring up to the course of the show. I
have a store that I have to tell you that
I just found out about.

Speaker 2 (35:02):
That is forty years old. Wow, that.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
Connects me and you, which I never knew even existed.

Speaker 2 (35:12):
We have a connection that I never even knew existed. Really,
and the listeners are going to know about it.

Speaker 6 (35:17):
Okay, all right?

Speaker 8 (35:18):
This when I left the Portsmouth station, I think about
six or nine months later you started.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
I started six months.

Speaker 1 (35:23):
Yeah right, and this was just uh, it was in
that period of time. And I just learned about this
from somebody very close to me, and I'm like, how
did I not know about this?

Speaker 2 (35:33):
You found out about Valerie and I dating?

Speaker 1 (35:35):
Yeah, right, right, right, But you are involved, and I
have I have proof in print that you were involved.

Speaker 2 (35:45):
So I can't wait to bring this up. I almost
dropped my first swear. Yeah yeah, well, hey, it's.

Speaker 6 (35:58):
You here.

Speaker 8 (35:58):
So I'm listening to you driving in here, and I
don't think Laura ever during a traffic report put in.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
Blah blah blah.

Speaker 3 (36:09):
Scotty and I have the traffic stuff down, because this
is If you see break lights float out, yeah, if
you see cow's legs pointing toward the sky, you might
want to tap the brakes. If you see rubber, the
rubber side up right, slow down.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
If you see flames, slow down.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
I mean, I don't I could tell you a million
roads that are going to be slower, but you just
gonna if you see break lights, tap yours.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
That's it. This is It's simple people, let's not complicate thing. Sorry,
get a little carried away there. I don't care. I'm
pretty hard. Give it up. Look at the look on
Kelly's face. Just throw it back to me.

Speaker 6 (36:48):
Please.

Speaker 2 (36:49):
What you see is what you get today. Showers on
and off. Mid fifties.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
So I just got I want to take a couple
of seconds here because I want to. I got an
email here, uh, and the person that emailed is listening
in You Shai, I don't know if I pronounce it
you Shi Argentina And they are leaving for Antarctica tomorrow.
So Tracy just wanted to check in and checking in

(37:15):
on on the family, meaning the radio family, and how
everybody was and checking in about Laura and Kaylea.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
Everybody's good. Every the family is going to be back
together soon.

Speaker 1 (37:24):
But so they were checking on it, and so I
was kind of responding, and I ended with save travels.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
And here's something nobody's ever said. Enjoy Argentina. Enjoy ANTARCTICAE
Like you.

Speaker 1 (37:33):
Were only going there to work, right, You're only going
there for some sort of scientific Is that where it's
I think.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
This Monday was the last day they see sunlight? Is
that it might be?

Speaker 1 (37:42):
It might be I don't know, I don't know, it's
the last time they see sunlight in.

Speaker 8 (37:46):
Argentina in Antarctica.

Speaker 1 (37:49):
You're only going down there to work for some scientific
job or something like that.

Speaker 2 (37:53):
Yeah, and environmental job, I would imagine.

Speaker 6 (37:55):
I mean they're opening a kick ass Arby's Yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:58):
Well, I mean, you know, well there, that's good. That's good.
And the baby Greg darn elf. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (38:03):
But also I wanted to mention that I got an
email from Kevin who wanted to share that his nephew
is going to be his name, Chris Williams is going
to be lifting off in a Russian rocket. He's an
NASA astronaut. He's going up into the space this weekend.

Speaker 2 (38:22):
He's supposed to do a zoom meeting with my wife's
classroom in the high school. She teaches them.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
She's a STEM pathways coordinator and stresses math blah blah blah.
But you didn't say what town or whatever. But that's cool,
your nephew is going up into space. Scotty and I
revere astronauts. Absolutely like we grew up the Apollo era,
you know, watching they were heroes. They came back Erica.
The Apollo was a series of the Apollo. The Apollo

(38:51):
missions were spacecraft fired up rockets that took people in
the space first landing on the move. Okay, so that's
when the Apollo eleven, Pollow eight, Paula nine, that's when
you're your test pilot. Your test pilots became astronauts right
right the Apollo theater.

Speaker 2 (39:10):
All of those Polo eleven landed on the Moon. Okay.

Speaker 1 (39:13):
Paulo thirteen had a almost near inflight catastrophe and they
were not allowed. They were supposed to land on the moon.
That became a movie with Tom Hanks, and they never
got to land on the moon. They circled the moon
and the NASA riggby the thing so they could get back.
It was a miracle brought them back alive.

Speaker 6 (39:31):
It's awesome.

Speaker 1 (39:31):
So anyway, yesterday was it yesterday? I'm forgetting all about
this today. I think it was Monday. Yeah, so all right,
Monday morning, early tom. I want to bring you up
to speed. I know the last time you were here,
Erica thought you were a hockey player.

Speaker 8 (39:47):
Well yeah, until I walked in the door. You guys know,
it's no way, no way.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
It looks like he looks like get all, he wouldn't
be driving a ball swagger? Uh you were you thinking?
Patrice bercherones? Okay, this is while I was in Ireland.

Speaker 1 (40:06):
Okay, so Erica is we're learning a lot from Erica.
Erica is learning from us yesterday Monday. Sorry, I'm so
screwed up. Early in the show, I looked at her,
I said, have you ever I tried to think of
all of the things that we grew up with that
we know that she has no idea about.

Speaker 2 (40:27):
And I'm like, have you ever rewound anything?

Speaker 6 (40:33):
Ever?

Speaker 2 (40:35):
I'm like, you've never a TV?

Speaker 10 (40:37):
But not?

Speaker 1 (40:37):
Yeah, no, no, there's a real one goes back and no,
look at it.

Speaker 2 (40:42):
Look it's terrified.

Speaker 1 (40:43):
And then we started asking about have you ever you know,
put your finger in a rotary phone? And no, she
didn't even know what I was talking about, right, And
it was eye opening.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
It was some of this stuff is because she has
a butler.

Speaker 1 (40:58):
Have you ever driven a car? Well, you had a
clutch and you had to.

Speaker 11 (41:02):
No, no, And it was it was what were some
of the things we were talking about because there was
so many You brought up.

Speaker 2 (41:14):
The sound effects of going online? I said, if you
ever had to wait to get online?

Speaker 8 (41:21):
And I played the dial ups AOL's sound.

Speaker 2 (41:24):
She was that she was freaking out. She was like,
I was trying to communicate with the aliens. Yeah, yeah,
pretty much. And she she doesn't take one twenty five.

Speaker 3 (41:33):
So I was telling her we were talking about construction, like, oh,
it's right across from the newdist camp. Yeah, she went,
what I go on one twenty five in Barrington Lee
there was a newdist camp And she's like, what is done?

Speaker 8 (41:46):
Where it is right right right after the Lee Raceway. Right,
you can hang a left and hang it out and
hang it out?

Speaker 2 (41:57):
I had. Yeah, it was a great fruit is waiting
to be all right?

Speaker 1 (42:02):
Well anyway, so yeah, so it's been an interesting, uh,
an interesting thing, and she has totally risen to the
occasion as a new never worked in radio before.

Speaker 8 (42:10):
She's doing a great No. Definitely, uh, at some point,
and it need not be now. But I do have
something I'd like to promote, and I want to promote.
I want to make sure Eric is here in the studio.
Now send that right, yes, Well, for the fifth year
in a row, I will be part of a fundraiser
for the Asner Family Center, which was started by the

(42:34):
late actor Ed Asner. Ed Asner, No, no clue, Okay,
well it is she wants to be She's no, I
think we've passed that.

Speaker 2 (42:46):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay.

Speaker 8 (42:47):
So the the Asner Family Center, just so you know,
is and I'm going to use their own description, an
all encompassing resource dedicated to elevating the lives of special
needs individuals and their families. Wonderful charity and uh. And
so we do a star studded reading of the screenplay
of It's a Wonderful Life.

Speaker 2 (43:08):
Have you ever seen I've heard of that you've heard
of having a wonderful life? Or the actual.

Speaker 3 (43:17):
Time out for just a second, just so she might
be able to get it because her generation needs Did
you remember Elf?

Speaker 2 (43:22):
Yes, he was Santa and El and that's right. And
also in the movie the carl is is he's the voice.

Speaker 1 (43:31):
He's the voice, right, so you can picture who you
who you were talking to, legendary.

Speaker 8 (43:36):
Actor Scott He's like a un translator. So so I
will be part of this. I'll be kind of hosting
it from from the house in New Hampshire as everybody's
on zoom boxes around the country, which brings to mind,

Speaker 2 (43:55):

Speaker 6 (43:58):
The people who will be participate.

Speaker 2 (44:00):

Speaker 6 (44:02):

Speaker 1 (44:04):

Speaker 8 (44:10):
Uh now you watched Death by Lightning, Greg, did you with.

Speaker 6 (44:18):

Speaker 2 (44:21):

Speaker 6 (44:24):
It's wonderful.

Speaker 8 (44:25):
President Garfield is played by Michael Shannon. No, Michael Shannon,
did you see a Man of Steel with Henry cavill

Speaker 6 (44:35):

Speaker 3 (44:37):
Yeah, nothing there, nothing but to go back to Martin Short,

Speaker 2 (44:51):

Speaker 1 (44:58):
And she wins, is like she's gonna hurt Tom Snead.

Speaker 6 (45:03):
No, you know what they are.

Speaker 2 (45:05):
Every one of them that he's mentioned are Grade A
heavy hitters. Joe No, she never Joey's as a yeah.

Speaker 8 (45:15):

uh portrayed by Robert Smigel. He'll be with us, Roberts.

Speaker 2 (45:24):

Speaker 8 (45:28):

Speaker 2 (45:36):
She played she in Dodgeball.

Speaker 1 (45:38):
She was he was Vince Vaughan's girlfriend that they and
she was by so she kissed her.

Speaker 2 (45:43):
I remember the bye scene that that that sure night
at the museum. You know you have.

Speaker 3 (45:57):
Genera two daughters are hurting sometimes if you had to go, okay,
well they started.

Speaker 2 (46:01):
This, Oh I know who you're talking about.

Speaker 6 (46:04):
So anyway, if you want to see all of these.

Speaker 8 (46:06):

the comfort of your own home. Watch the streaming performance
that's gonna be December fourteenth at eight pm Eastern time.

(46:29):
I hope I can stay awake for them. It's a
great It's it's like the fourth year UFI. Last year,
we actually did it live on stage at the Gary
Marshall Theater in Burbank with the cast of SpongeBob SquarePants.

Speaker 6 (46:41):
When was a SpongeBob do.

Speaker 10 (46:42):
You know that?

Speaker 8 (46:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (46:43):
There you go?

Speaker 2 (46:44):
When is Shyla Buff? Didn't Shyla Buff do it on
the backs of car or something? We did and he did?
He did something.

Speaker 3 (46:50):
There's times at Ridgemont High I think it was during
COVID and they were like it was we.

Speaker 8 (46:56):
Had we had Pete Davidson played George Bailey one year.
I know that one. Jason Sudeikis from Ted Lasso. Okay,
I should have quit while I.

Speaker 1 (47:07):
Was where the miller's Yes, he's the he's the driver,
he's the guy.

Speaker 2 (47:12):
All right, Yeah, what what's on TV?

Speaker 8 (47:18):
Brendan Fraser played, Uh, Okay, why.

Speaker 2 (47:23):
Didn't I just take the win and leave?

Speaker 1 (47:24):
Yeah? You should?

Speaker 2 (47:25):
You should?

Speaker 1 (47:26):
I want to you know what? You brought up something
and I wanted to ask about this. I don't think
I've ever asked you about it on the air.

Speaker 2 (47:30):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (47:32):
So you were at Shatner's super Bowl party? Yeah, right, Yeah,
And Shatner has a big super Bowl party and a
lot of people there. Tom is good friends with William Shatter. Yeah,
and so you were there and Scottie. You know who
else was there? Nicholas Cage. Now, yeah, last.

Speaker 6 (47:54):
This last one.

Speaker 8 (47:55):
I was, you know, chatting, and all of a sudden,
somebody sits down to my right.

Speaker 6 (47:59):
I turned it. It's Nick.

Speaker 2 (48:01):
Nobody has a Nick Cage story.

Speaker 1 (48:04):
Like you never hear anything about him except what's reported,
like he's weird, TMZ all that stuff, and I don't
know he has a personal Nicholas Cage.

Speaker 2 (48:13):
I don't like the word weird. He's different.

Speaker 8 (48:15):
No, I'm not criticized. And I posted, I think on
my Instagram page. If you scroll down far enough, you
can see from the super Bowl party the two of us,
nicest guy.

Speaker 2 (48:24):
We talked about old movies, yeah we did.

Speaker 8 (48:27):
And also he was dealing with a condition called tonitis
and Bill doubts with that as well, and Nick had
and my buddy Nick was concerned prior to doing a
movie because he had just contracted this somehow.

Speaker 6 (48:45):
So we actually got in touch with Bill. How do
you deal with this?

Speaker 8 (48:47):
I'm worried about, you know, being able to do the movie,
And so that friendship kind of started through that.

Speaker 6 (48:53):
So he invited him to the super Bowl party.

Speaker 3 (48:55):
What I have to give the Nicholas Cage credit about
is a guy that was big was not keeping he
had somebody keeping track of his money, and the person
was not doing a very good job. And he took
it like a man and said fine and then grabbed
whatever acting job he could to.

Speaker 2 (49:12):
Pay off his taxes, to pay off his texts.

Speaker 6 (49:15):
Can I just ask Erica Nicholas Case.

Speaker 2 (49:17):
I just looked him up.

Speaker 7 (49:18):
Oh, for god, Yeah, I know though his face looks familiar,
but I don't.

Speaker 2 (49:23):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (49:23):
Yeah, she's the Google generation.

Speaker 2 (49:26):
It's immediate. It's immediately. And sometimes after the show we
do let's check her history. Maybe if we've talked.

Speaker 3 (49:31):
About something, we checked our Internet, so she'll go, oh,
I saw who this is?

Speaker 2 (49:36):
Yeah yeah, yeah, please don't check mine. I'll never think.

Speaker 1 (49:42):
At the day we showed Scotty private browsing on his phone,
it was like the son came, all right, well it
is a yeah, it's Wednesday, we got Who's the Douchebag?
Coming up at eight o'clock, also having Andrew Raycroft to
talk a little Ruins at seven forty.

Speaker 2 (50:00):
Do I have?

Speaker 3 (50:01):
Do I have?

Speaker 2 (50:03):
I have? I I have something? I know.

Speaker 1 (50:10):
Kidding, I have something I want to bring up. And
this is kind of a loose pop Pereide type segment.

Speaker 2 (50:16):
Whatever.

Speaker 1 (50:16):
So I found something out this past week that I
did not know. And this is radio for me. This
goes back to the beginning of my career. I had
not yet met you. I certainly know who you were
because I listened to you, but we have a friend
in common that I never knew. Well, I think friend
for you. I never knew we had anything in common about.

(50:39):
I'm talking to a friend of mine, the first radio
partner I ever had. Okay, okay, Courtney. I was on
for I don't know how many years. It was a
few years, and it was awesome. She's amazing and we're
great friends. We still talk all the time. And she
said something I don't know if she watched you last
week on Dancing with the Star and she's like, I

(51:01):
love Tom Brashron and she knows we're friends, right, and
she goes you know I I interned for him. I'm like,
what I'm thinking at hg B at the radio station.
She's like, oh, no, no, no, I interned for him
at WBZ when you were doing morning radio. She was

(51:23):
an intern. And she's like yeah. And then I interned
for him on people are talking the TV show at
TV yeah. And I'm like, how is it you never
told me that? She never said anything about that. And
then she stuns me with he wrote me a job
recommendation that got me the job with you.

Speaker 6 (51:45):
Did anybody get Twilight Zone music?

Speaker 1 (51:47):
I'm like, are you serious? I got yeah, And she's like,
he wrote me. He's the nicest person in the world.

Speaker 12 (51:56):
And he's given me the come on, tell me more,
tell me more. I loved him in the movie Sniper. Yeah,
Beinger Bad. Yeah, she tells me.

Speaker 1 (52:10):
She's like, yeah, he wrote me, he wrote a job
recommendation for me to to go to w h g
B to get the job with you. I'm like, mind
blowing to and she goes it was the nicest. It
was the most flowery, you know, uh recommendation you could
ever ask for.

Speaker 2 (52:29):
And you know he was lowery. Yeah, now that doesn't
sound that's the word she used lowry. I'm just telling
you it was glowing. It was a glowing review and recommendation.

Speaker 3 (52:38):
Every time I see him, I'm trying to picture flower Okay,
so minute.

Speaker 1 (52:43):
Now it gets even better because she she's all of
a sudden, the acoustics in the room wherever she changes
and I'm like, her voice changes, there's an echo, and
I'm like, are you are you pooping?

Speaker 2 (52:59):
Because you know, because that sounded like she was in
a bathroom. That's where does most of No, No, we
have a very good relationship. We've been friends forever. You know.
It's the kind of thing you could say, what kind
of acoustic.

Speaker 1 (53:15):
It sounded like it was an echo, like it was
in a bathroom. Show'm like, are you pooping? And she's
like no, She's like, I'm in the closet. I'm like,
come out. Everybody else is doing it, and so uh
no she so she goes I think I know where
that letter is. Oh my god, and she pulls it
out of the closet. I said, take a picture of
it and send it to me, please right away.

Speaker 2 (53:38):
Can I see this because I want to see how flowery.
I have the letter right here on my screen.

Speaker 1 (53:43):
I will send you a copy, all right, but there's
a caveat.

Speaker 2 (53:48):
You want me to just read it now? Okay, all right,
I gotta I thought you were going to Ryan Seacrest.
No no, no, no, no no, we got time, We got time.
All right. This is is typed Erica on the.

Speaker 10 (54:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (54:04):
And if you mess up, you to restart the whole thing, right, yea,
this is It's on WBZ Radio stationery Yeah, okay, written
by my dear friend Courtney, who is lovely in every
sense of the word.

Speaker 2 (54:21):
She is a beautiful human being. All right, So this
is the letter that you wrote. Flowery.

Speaker 1 (54:27):
Couldn't have been nicer, uber Flowery, the nicest, most effusive
praise you could ever ask. What close your eyes unless
you're driving, is how she described Greg. So as I'm driving,
she reads it to me. All right, okay, says to
whom it may concern. Courtney Netto worked on our morning
radio show and on our midday talk show as an intern,
with responsibilities ranging from guest bookings to dealing with studio

(54:50):
audiences and everything and everything between. She was always energetic, involved, industrious,
and I'm charging her by the adjective extremely all caps
on a typewriter. I charge even more for the bold
type sets. Always a joke, always a jokester, always extremely
interested in continuing her adventures in broadcasting. I recommend her highly,

(55:12):
and it says sincerely, Tom bergeron. So she reads it
to me, and she pauses and she goes, yeah, not
that flower. In retrospect, I may have adorned it a
little bit more than actually in retrospect, she goes that,
guess it's just okay. I'm like, it's a good recommendation
letter that got you the job.

Speaker 2 (55:33):
But she's all excited women, and she goes, yeah, now
she probably hasn't looked at that letter in forty years. Right,
there's no data, there's no data that I'd be like,
but that the early nineties.

Speaker 8 (55:44):
Yeah right, I think so people are talking I did
from eighty seven until ninety three.

Speaker 2 (55:49):
Yeah a BZ who knew? Yeah I never knew that
connection existed, Okay, nor did I really?

Speaker 8 (55:54):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (55:55):
Yeah that's amazing.

Speaker 2 (55:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (55:57):
Is she on the air now somewhere?

Speaker 2 (55:59):
Yes, she is on? Are now like right now?

Speaker 6 (56:02):
Yeah? Should be?

Speaker 2 (56:03):
Oh yes, absolutely, But I can't do it right now.
I gotta wait. She doesn't know, she doesn't know, Okay,
she does not know any of our I'm not telling
she doesn't know you're here. You know, everybody shut it
to say that's fair.

Speaker 8 (56:15):
But uh, but that's something I would do occasionally in
recommendation letters, say I charged by the adjective yeah yeah,
or for all caps. Maybe if we can call her,
I can mention that she overgotten pay.

Speaker 2 (56:29):
Yea yeah yah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah. I just love
the Oh I love him. I love him. Reality, it's
not that good. I think it's great. I think she
said not that good, not that flower.

Speaker 1 (56:38):
No, she said not that good. Look I I probably
should have waited just before. Don't say anything if you
know it, don't email, don't please, don't text. Okay, it's
gonna be fun, but I can't do it because I
I know when I can call her and when I
can't now.

Speaker 8 (56:55):
But this is just like I'm driving in and I
hear Kelly, I hear you saying, hey, maybe I can
put my headphones over there, I know, instead of Gregg's
and see if Tom notices. And I'm thinking as a
driving and if you're gonna pull a prank, don't broadcast it.

Speaker 2 (57:10):
And I trust you, guys, I trust you guys not
to say anything.

Speaker 3 (57:13):
Thomas is the same guy who made nut bread last night.
I got to put the nuts in it.

Speaker 10 (57:16):
That all.

Speaker 2 (57:18):
Sugar. All right?

Speaker 1 (57:27):
Is everybody good today? Because I'm not seeing a whole
I'm not seeing a whole lot of Probably it's stoner, totally.

Speaker 2 (57:34):
Totally, man, totally. Everything's going okay so far. You know what,
you know what crush is, Scotty.

Speaker 1 (57:40):
No traffic, dude, No traffic brouh any slowdowns the ones
that you would encounter every day.

Speaker 2 (57:47):
There's no major accidents or anything.

Speaker 1 (57:49):
There was a crash cleared in Providence, but not really
in the eighty I, as we say in the business okay,
area of dominant influence.

Speaker 2 (57:57):
All right, there you go, there it is idea. That's
your traffic report.

Speaker 5 (58:02):
Sorry, yeah, a couple of showers in store, high of
fifty six, Turkey day, partly sunny in the mid forties.

Speaker 8 (58:09):
Can I just Kelly, I admire the fact that you
still put effort into the newscast, to the sports, to
the weather. You're not letting this sort of disdain for
actually doing traffic, you know, influence you in any way.

Speaker 2 (58:24):
Is that what you're seeing disdain? Yeah, there's a certain
level of that. No, it's it's it is not disdained.
I know that there.

Speaker 1 (58:32):
I know it's important and if there was important information
to say, I want to tell you.

Speaker 2 (58:35):
Okay, however, everything is pretty clear.

Speaker 1 (58:39):
I mean a lot of people must be taking the
day off today, and the roads are you know, and
I could go through all these You get it every
day like you're driving one twenty eight. You don't think
there's gonna be everybody knows, you know. I also look
at it the same way as I look at the weather.
You're carrying it around twenty four to seven in your pocket.

Speaker 2 (58:56):
It used to be can you give five temperatures?

Speaker 1 (58:58):
When you get give five times with the tip no,
he is precious pants.

Speaker 2 (59:08):
You ever heard a joke like that before?

Speaker 12 (59:10):
No?

Speaker 2 (59:11):
Yeah, no, yeah, okay. No radios to get used to
get so wound up about.

Speaker 1 (59:16):
They would actually tell you give the temperatures in five towns,
and they'd tell you to say that on a break,
and you'd be like.

Speaker 2 (59:23):
I don't know the temperature in five towns.

Speaker 1 (59:25):
That information wasn't available, but yet they made it up
like you took one degree off or whatever, and I'm
like it was useless.

Speaker 2 (59:33):
It wasn't then it is now it's gonna be in
the forties. It's your weather, you know what I mean.

Speaker 8 (59:38):
So anybody, anybody currently in an unexpected traffic jam, he
text us, apologize.

Speaker 1 (59:48):
Text us and let us know, because that's how we
find out about it.

Speaker 2 (59:50):
So text us and let us know.

Speaker 1 (59:51):
I am not.

Speaker 2 (59:52):
It is not disdained. Trust me. I would say it
if it was. I don't mind. I don't mind.

Speaker 1 (59:57):
All right, Hockey, we got in a rag crop coming
up next day with us, be right back.

Speaker 2 (01:00:03):
Don't move. Poor bus coming up. It's gig in the morning.

Speaker 13 (01:00:06):
Buzzamn Razor, Yes he is.

Speaker 2 (01:00:22):
Cross the Razor report. Condor Ray crops.

Speaker 1 (01:00:29):
Want to my Bentley Chevrolet, the neighborhood dealer that treats
you like family.

Speaker 2 (01:00:33):
Oh, I don't know. Are you out on the road.
What are you in the car? You're bringing the kids
to school?

Speaker 6 (01:00:40):
What are you doing?

Speaker 2 (01:00:40):
Razor?

Speaker 10 (01:00:42):
Yeah, I have a car drop today, card drop offs today.
So I'm home. I'm in the studio tonight. Uh. A
West coast trip for nine days does not work for
my life. I cannot miss that much time. So I've
been in the studio in the late night.

Speaker 2 (01:00:57):
I just want to do the school line check.

Speaker 1 (01:00:59):
Did no angry faces from the traffic control there in
the in the school.

Speaker 7 (01:01:03):
No.

Speaker 10 (01:01:04):
No, we've had a few incidents in the last month,
but today was a good day. It feels like a
lot of little thin in line. I think a lot
of people took off today today. I was, I'm in
good standing with my kids and they're not embarrassed by
me today.

Speaker 1 (01:01:18):
If she, if she eyeballs him, he tells the kids
to just jump out, just jump.

Speaker 2 (01:01:21):
Out and roll roll in the grass, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:01:24):
Uh So okay, so let's uh, let's get after it,
because obviously the Bruins.

Speaker 2 (01:01:30):
I was.

Speaker 1 (01:01:30):
I was talking with Christian Fouria the day the other
day and I kind of and Eric Freed and I
was talking about how it's almost like the Celtics and
the Bruins are at the same spot. They're trying to,
you know, establish themselves, find themselves. They're letting me hovering
around five hundred. But we've seen some you know, I mean,
Morgan geeky, we've seen some really good things happening with
the Bruins lately.

Speaker 10 (01:01:49):
Yeah, they're hanging in. They're hanging in. They're on tough
road trip. If they could find a way to get
a win tonight, they go two and two on the road,
which would have been great. The injuries piled up on
them a little bit the last couple of weeks, which
I think is slowed their momentum down just a little bit.
They're they're treading water, yeah, when which is what you
have to do in the National League when when you

(01:02:10):
do have important injuries. So I've loved their game. I
think they got they missed a couple of points here
and there with with how hard they're working, but all
in all, the good thing guys is and I'm getting
it a lot on a daily basis from somebody like
they kind of sucked me back in. Like they're a
fun team. They work hard, they're physical, they getting people

(01:02:32):
faces and and of course, like you said, geeky and
past are awesome to watch. So there's there's uh, there's
a buzz around this team. They've got a long way
to go to to start talking about playoffs and winning
a round, but uh, they're they're back to respectability after
what happened at the end.

Speaker 1 (01:02:48):
Of last So Andrew of course former Boston Ruin goaltender
Nessen commentator as well, and I was watching in the
the morning brew uh with Chaffee and the Razor podcast
as well. But I was I was listening to you
talk on a podcast the other day, and you were
really talking about Morgan geeky and how you really admired
the way he just has battled through with like no
quit in that guy and here he is, you know,

(01:03:09):
after you know, a struggling early on in his career,
you know, putting up numbers that is that that is unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (01:03:15):
You really appreciated that about him.

Speaker 10 (01:03:18):
I do, I do, I've I've been there, We've you know,
everybody who's played most of the bergeron has been in
a spot in their career where they're not playing or
being healthy, scratched that things aren't going their way and
it's not easy going to fight their way out of it.
Let alone, within twelve months be the leading goal scorer
in the National Hockey League and tour of the most

(01:03:39):
goals in the calendar year of twenty twenty five. It's
impressive and and it just goes to show how much
talent all of these guys have, yep, and when they're
putting the right situation, they can break out. And Morgan's
taken advantage of that.

Speaker 2 (01:03:53):
Kelly Razor, I didn't see it. I was reading about it.

Speaker 5 (01:03:57):
Apparently zador Off kind of roughed up Island is rookie
standout Matthew Schaeffer last time these two teams met.

Speaker 2 (01:04:03):
Is there going to be some carryover tonight from that?

Speaker 10 (01:04:07):
That's a good question. I haven't seen who the Islanders
having the lineup they typically most of the meat they
had has has gone on the Matt Martin's of the world.
I don't know if they have anyone that that is
in Zadorov's weight class, but I'm sure I walked. But
I'm also kind of thinking, is Zadorov enjoyed that and

(01:04:29):
Michael looking for that against tonight? To be honest, there's
probably more of a chance the door of ruff some
people up against tonight, more so than anyone rushing him
up tonight.

Speaker 2 (01:04:38):
I saw the shot that McAvoy took.

Speaker 1 (01:04:40):
Any word on timetable, it was wow, crazy anywhere man, Yeah,
those are the days.

Speaker 10 (01:04:48):
I'm happy to be a goalie. Don't tell you that. No, no,
no word at all. My guess is they give him,
They give everybody kind of through Thanksgiving. Uh, And we'll
get an update next week of progress, or we'll see
him somewhere or I think it's just a matter of
comfortability on how McVoy feels and where his you know

(01:05:13):
kind of a mindset is more than you know, goody.

Speaker 5 (01:05:15):
Well, we're all thankful for something on Thanksgiving. Ragon do
you think tomorrow I'll be thankful from more than five
and a half goals in tonight's game.

Speaker 10 (01:05:28):
Five and a half? Yeah, I think you will be
thankful for more than five and a half. I would
expect it is going to be tight checking, just like
don't get too nervous early on. There's a good chance
if you remember the first time these two teams played,
they played the fastest first period I've ever seen, like
zero zero, no whistles, maybe eight shots on goal combined.

(01:05:49):
But I do think that you'll get an empty net
goal or two at some point here, and that's where
the five and a half should should disappear in the
rear view and the mashed potatoes will have a little
extra there.

Speaker 2 (01:06:04):
You go, all right, So, Andrew, I gotta, I gotta,
I gotta veer off of hockey here for a second.

Speaker 1 (01:06:08):
I wanted to introduce you to a friend of ours
that is in the studio with us.

Speaker 2 (01:06:13):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:06:14):

watched a Dancing with the Stars, have you ever heard
the name Tom Bergeron?

Speaker 10 (01:06:20):

even all the repeats with Tom.

Speaker 1 (01:06:28):
Well he's not He's not here with us today. It's
out fun kidding.

Speaker 2 (01:06:33):
Tom is in studio with us, a long time friend
of the show. So hey, Tom said to Andrew Andrews.

Speaker 8 (01:06:38):
Andrew, Hello, I have a favor actually if you if
you don't mind, I don't I don't mean to impose,
but my cousin Patrese has yet to r s v
P my Thanksgiving dinner invitation. I was wondering, do you
have a cell number or anything I could reach out?

Speaker 10 (01:06:55):
Let me let me give it out over the era. Yeah,
that'll end up real good for me.

Speaker 2 (01:07:01):
Do you have a berger on Jersey? I thought, didn't
someone give you a bergeron Jersey?

Speaker 6 (01:07:06):
Keep calm Bergeron? Okay?

Speaker 1 (01:07:08):
All right, yeah, okay, So Andrew, here's here's another version
of this story. Uh, sitting in this morning with us
is our our newest employee. She's a gen Zer. Her
name is Erica and she just uh, she just met
Tom last a little while ago for the first time.
When he came in, she had no idea who he was.
She thought he was Patrice Bergeron.

Speaker 2 (01:07:32):
He's a hockey player. You have all your own teeth. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
there it is.

Speaker 1 (01:07:37):
Uh So, what are the Thanksgiving plans for the Raycroft family?

Speaker 9 (01:07:42):
Uh?

Speaker 10 (01:07:43):
Yeah, So tomorrow morning we hang out with the neighbors
and our friends in town, go play a little tag
football with the kids, maybe a few bloody marries in
the morning, and then I go to lot so we'll
do some cooking and we'll bring some plate but don't
have to clean up too much and I can sit
on the couch with my father in law and watch football.

Speaker 2 (01:08:05):
You go there, you go.

Speaker 10 (01:08:06):
As a Canadian, Canadian now American, you know, dual citizen.
This is my favorite holiday of all time. I can't
believe I didn't get to have Thanksgiving growing up, and
the first time I spent it with my my in laws.
It is the best thing ever. So yeah, I love
this week.

Speaker 1 (01:08:22):
It's mine too, absolutely mine, just because there's no pressure
and you just get to be with people, hopefully if
you're lucky to be or go do your own thing,
whatever you want to do.

Speaker 2 (01:08:31):
Andrew all the best, you man, Thank you so much.

Speaker 6 (01:08:33):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:08:33):
We appreciate you, all right, brother, happy you got it?

Speaker 10 (01:08:36):
Uh, thanksgiving everybody you too.

Speaker 1 (01:08:38):
He's the best he honestly, I mean, I love hockey.
Guys have are different than a lot of professional athletes,
I think, and that's not knocking anybody.

Speaker 2 (01:08:47):
I just I get him. I guess. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:08:50):
He's just a nice guy and he's a great analyst
and commentator and former.

Speaker 2 (01:08:53):
Boston Bruins goalturnerself. There you go, very cool. We have
who's the douchebag here?

Speaker 6 (01:08:59):
This is my favorite writ bit that you do.

Speaker 2 (01:09:01):
Yeah, yeah, it's real. Well I know that.

Speaker 8 (01:09:03):
And it's also, if I recall correctly, the one bit
that you do that I cannot to swear during.

Speaker 2 (01:09:09):
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:09:11):
After when I was in Ireland and we did one
and I talked to Tom later that week, he goes, hey,
a question. Laura really locks in on the duce like,
oh yeah, she locks.

Speaker 2 (01:09:23):
In a hard, hard Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:09:25):
It's great for those that for those that maybe missed it,
I did. I did spend some time with Laura yesterday.
She's doing she's doing okay, you know that's the what
else can you say?

Speaker 2 (01:09:36):
Right for?

Speaker 1 (01:09:37):
For what she's going through uh and uh, she will
be back to join us.

Speaker 2 (01:09:42):
And it was her call.

Speaker 1 (01:09:44):
I just said, whenever you are ready, we are here
with our arms open, and so you tell me when
you want. And then so yesterday she said, I'm thinking
I should stay out till the first year.

Speaker 2 (01:09:57):
I'm like, whatever you want, that was the answer.

Speaker 1 (01:09:59):
So she will join us us after the holiday break,
and I said, you take your time, you know, obviously
the only thing important here is you.

Speaker 2 (01:10:06):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (01:10:07):
And in the conversation then we went on to Lenda
Helping Can and we have decided. I said, I don't
we don't want to do it without you, and I
think you want to do it?

Speaker 2 (01:10:18):
Am I right? She goes, I.

Speaker 1 (01:10:19):
Absolutely want to do it, so being Laura, So the
new date for Lenda Helping Can will be the fifteenth
and sixteenth of January, So Thursday and Friday, give a
little bit of time, you know, get her feet under
and stuff like that, and then we're.

Speaker 2 (01:10:33):
Gonna do it.

Speaker 1 (01:10:33):
We're going to do it just like we were going
to do it, you know, last week. And hopefully we're
going to raise money, a lot of money to help
feed people in New Hampshire Vermont so mark that on
the calendars. I've already reached out to people that we're
going to join us, and they're going to join us again,
which is nice. They're the best, you know, like you,
guys like you, and it's Brian Scalabrini and Razor and

(01:10:55):
Adam Mezra and Bob Marley and all these people that
join us are going to join us again. So very
excited about that. And yeah, so it was she she says.
Laura says, thank you so much to all of you.
And I'll reiterate what I said earlier in the show.
If you texted her or if you emailed her, she
was very appreciative of it.

Speaker 2 (01:11:16):
I would ask.

Speaker 1 (01:11:17):
I would say, I don't don't expect a response if
you get one while but I'm just saying it is
so much that it's you know, she can't but anyway,
I just very appreciative and thanks you all from the
bottom of her heart. When we come back, who's the douchebag?
And let me tell you, Scotty's going to get revved
up on this one. It is right up his alley.
