Speaker 2 (00:05):
Yeah, uh it was. I didn't get a whole lot
of sleep, but it was. It was special.
Speaker 1 (00:13):

Is probably gonna be in about about an hour. Is
that best?
Speaker 1 (00:23):
I got a coffee going, but I'm just yeah, it's
gonna probably probably uh take about an hour for me
for me to wake up. I had to u I
had many costume changes. It seemed like last night you did,
and I had to do it quickly, how sweating, and
so the first guy did took a shower when I
(00:44):
got in the hotel, you know, took a shower, and
I slid between those sheets and I was like, I'm
going out. I'm gonna be out wide awake, wide awake,
you know what I mean, like the adrenaline high. Still
I still had that going, you know. So still it
was nice. Thank you everybody that went. It was We'll
(01:04):
talk about it, but it was a pretty special night.
We'll tell you why, uh coming up in a little bit.
But how you doing, Kelly doing good? I'd like to
pay for my calendar. It's usually the deal. You give
me a free one and I'd like to pay for
the other one.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
You're an artist, you know, you know it's a gift.
It's a gift. Yeah, thank you. Let's didn't get you anything.
You don't have to get me anything. Your presence is
a present. Yeah, yeah, thank you very much, thank you.
I do.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
We never had a chance to discuss what you did
to me last night. Oh, okay, because that's a problem,
yeh yeah. But they didn't see that coming.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
I saw that coming a mile I did not.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
I called it coming, okay, and I didn't expect it.
And to be honest with you, took it like a champ.
That's what I do, Scotty.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Look, if you're gonna you're gonna take it, take it
like a like a sham for God's sake.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
All right, So what do we got? We got some
rain today? Is it gonna be warm throughout the very windy? Okay,
very windy, but warm. It won't be snow. Okay, all right,
Well that's good.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
So I know is I'm in shorts? No idea how
that happened? Did you pack your bag last? I know?
I do when I go home, I don't know, Well
what happened? Did there was a clothes set out and
I'm not wearing them.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Well, it's not a bad not a bad thing. Today
news overnight they they got the suspected Browns, you know
Brown University shooting suspect.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
They found them dead in New Hampshire. Yeah, in New.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Hampshire, found him in Salem and uh, you know, so yeah,
we'll get to all that that stuff. Uh yeah, So
what's going on. How's everybody doing?
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Yeah, we're pretty slow.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
The crowd was amazing, awesome, amazingly supportive of every act did.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
It was a great Aussie tribute.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
You know, there'll be videos, We'll have videos and I'm
gonna I just got some pictures. I'll put some pictures
up here in just a little bit. But it was
a special night. Tom Bergeron was there and crowd went
crazy for him. He might swing by today because we
are we're gonna be doing the the Buzz Christmas Poetry Jam,
(03:16):
which we'll be doing a little bit later and that's
gonna be fun. I think Erica is gonna make an
appearance as well. What else we got going on? Scal
there's nothing like Christmas. Scal talk about the the Boston
Celtics and a little little hoop. So that's gonna happen
at six forty. I mean that's tentative. That's tentative. Cascal
sometimes is rogue. Yeah, he goes rogue.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
Sometimes. You still love the guy, you know, uh, you
know white Momby still love him. Yeah, so that's that's
gonna happen. I don't even have a lead sheet. Probably
do the punch in the face. You know what, I'm
lost already. I don't know what to do.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
You're not lost, You're not lost. We got we got
five things you need to know if I'm not lost.
Big handsome looking man asked if I wanted to see his.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
I don't know. Home was going. I'm not even gonna
fight it. There's no point, no, no, no no, I'm
just gonna just let it go. Let it go. Thank
you to the we We were gifted a lot last night. Yeah,
she was very kind of a lot of the people.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
Uh that that came to a buzz ball and uh,
if you didn't go, I will say Laura did make
one appearance at the show in person, and it was
very very emotional as you would expect, but beautiful at
the same time. She was amazingly brave to do it.
So we'll, uh, we'll talk to you about that. Yeah,
(04:39):
so I got to be honest with you. I'm gonna
be honest with you.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
I got enough.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
No no, no, no, I got sometuff. I got something. I
just don't feel like doing it right now. I got
I got a coffee. Just give me a give me
a bit. Okay, we're all gonna sit here, Kayla. You
know she came down to the because we drove together.
She comes out of the hotel already. I pulled a
fuck around. It's got great service. Right just so, right
to the door so she can step dad. She's got
(05:04):
her hood on. She she just she gets her stuff
into the car. She sits in the passenger seat, and
I can't even say. I just see the tip of
her nose because of the hoodie. And then she just
looks at me.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
She is I think still sleeping one percent, still sleeping. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
I think I did the seven minute get ready and
go yeah, yeah yeah, And I'm not sure my eyes
were open.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah. It was funny. But I think
the first noise I made was uh, yeah, good morning.
I might have heard that I might have heard that.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
Okay, so the early buzz let's what do you say
when you say we started out?
Speaker 2 (05:34):
You text away, We'll play it. Uh, you could.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Text in eight two nine four five eight two nine
four five. We can play a lot of songs all morning.
We can go to all songs. We could do nine
songs in a row. You know what I mean, I know,
don't do that, don't do that.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
Yeah, we will type type on Cretchiok. God, great show
line up for right now. It's fine, great, great pleasure
to introduce. It's break in the morning bulls. So we're
really doing this, Yeah this really, it's really happening. Yeah,
(06:11):
it's really happening. Good morning everybody. You're just tuning in. Uh,
yeah it was.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
It was a late night last night and someone else
didn't sleep, like I didn't sleep.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
What the hell are you doing? Well?
Speaker 4 (06:24):
Uh?
Speaker 5 (06:25):
You know you were kind enough to put me up
in a nearby hotel after the buzz ball. Yes, where
I And it was a very I want to just
credit the hotel. Comfortable bed absolutely did absolutely nothing for me. Yeah,
I think if I slept ninety minutes. Yeah, that was
about it.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
I got back from a buzzball and I'm like, I
gotta you know, I gotta have a shower.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
So I showered and felt great. The bed was great
and I got met I'm like, this is it. I'm beat.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
Yeah, I'm gonna be done to in five seconds, wide awake.
I don't know if it was the adrenaline thing that's it.
It was like, man, oh man, but yeah, Tom burs
Run is here. Made a special surprise appearance last night
at the at the buzz Bar. It was such fun,
such fun it was. It was great. You know, we'll
we'll talk more about it, but it was you guys
(07:13):
rock the Misfits. Oh, thank you very much, thank you.
I will never have to listen to that song.
Speaker 5 (07:20):
That has been taking up so much of our brain
the past couple of weeks.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
We did our own sort of adult version of Misfits
We're a couple of Misfits from Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer,
and had to listen to that song and then I
stopped listening to it and just kept going over and
over the lyrics that we wrote because the others are
showing gread in my head, you know, and uh, and
even before we went on stage in the second half
(07:46):
I looked at Tom and I started to do the
lyrics and we did it silently together because it was,
you know, the worst thing. I don't sometimes I don't
know how people in bands do it, you know, with
that like without a prompt there because and Scotty, I mean,
you play the drums, right, so you're sitting there and
you're counting. You're counting it off all the time in
your head. But if you're up front and singing, there's
(08:09):
so many things that take your mind off of what
you're supposed to be saying.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
You can't understand those lyrics anyway. Oh that well yeah,
well yeah, the metals make up whatever you want. But
my point is is how do they keep track? That's
a good question. I don't know if they always do.
Maybe they don't. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
But that's the reason why everybody should have a teleprompter,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 5 (08:26):
That was one of the first questions I asked you
when you said, hey, let's do Misfits, and I said
it will be a prime propter.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
No what, I'm mostly retired, man, I don't remember Kayla.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
So Kayla comes out this morning because we left the
hotel before Tom did, and I could see it. She
I'm not talking to her. I'm not going to say
it works. I could see her coming. I pulled the
truck around to the front of the hotel and I
see her coming. I'm like, she's wiped out. Yeah, And
she loaded up the stuff in the truck, gets in
and sits down. I can only see the tip of
her nose sticking out of the hoodie, and all of
(09:00):
a sudden, she turns, like she turns really slow, and
I think she made a noise.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
Pretty much. Were you able to sleep at all?
Speaker 4 (09:08):
Came?
Speaker 6 (09:09):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
It took me like a half hour forty five minutes
to fall asleep. But once I fell asleep.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
I was toast. Yeah, it was. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (09:15):
I started the drive home and I'm like, you know,
let's just be aware and everything beg. Buddy comes out
of the middle of the road, stands up, it didn't
get him, ends up and runs. I'm like, right, the
rest of the right one, okay? Is something bigger gonna
later on?
Speaker 2 (09:30):
Yeah? It was. Yeah. I mean, there's so much.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
There's so much that happened last night in I think
the two and a half hours was it a two
and a half hour show? There's so much that happened
last night, and the crowd right from the get go
was amazing. We are gonna have a bunch of videos,
so those will be probably the next day or so,
or within a couple of days, but we'll have some
photos that will put up. I was just looking at
(09:53):
Peter Higgins, the photographer, Peter the photographer, phenomenal, amazing, Yeah, unbrideable.
Stuff got Yeah, I've already got I've already got some today.
He sent some stuff in and really great pictures. And
I think that, you know, the big moment of the night,
and there was some great numbers, I mean, a great
Aussie tribute. We did that, We had a lot of fun,
did some really stupid stuff that people seemed to think
(10:14):
was funny. And then the you know, I think the
moment that people will talk about was the moment that
Laura came out on stage. And she only came out,
you know, near the end, and was not in the
building until that very moment, and we didn't know, I mean,
(10:35):
we approached you know, her because Joe Deloe, the piano player,
had written a song and played it as a tribute
to to Laura's husband who passed away and it was beautiful.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
I mean, it was beautiful.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
And Laura wanted to come out after and said, can
I say that? Of course, so we we said, yeah,
we're going to do it. But if if you change
your mind at the last second, nobody knows about it,
nobody will know and you just text me and boom,
you know.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
But she did it.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
She came in and she went on stage, and she
was so emotional and eloquent at the same time. It
was so brave of her to get up in front
of people, and I think she said something like, I've
been hiding in my in my yeah, her bubble. And
she came out and was so beautifully eloquent in what
(11:25):
she said and thanks to the people that were at
the audience, but also that thanks extends to you at
home if you send an email or a text or
anything like that. Yeah, she she was. It was It
was beautiful. And then she she finished and we all
hugged and she left, and then we did the finale afterwards.
But it was very emotional.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
It was a really, I hope, in some way a
little bit.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
Of a start of a healing moment, you know, But
you know, it's obviously going to be a long road,
but everywhere there was I don't know if there was.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
A dry eye in the house. You know. I barely
kept it together. Yeah, so it was it was good.
It was just it was amazing. And the other thing is, uh,
I thought we were all supposed to write. Where did Scott?
Speaker 6 (12:11):
You know?
Speaker 5 (12:11):
I was aware that he was missing and I had
his picture on a milk cart.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
Now I didn't know how they got that so fast.
Last year we all ended up in the lobby.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
Yeah, I run, but we had We hadn't done the finale.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
Did we were we here Scott? The show was still
going on, and he booked it down to the lobby.
I was like, he's already in his car, He's gone, hello, dude.
I was honestly worried. I thought, did he get sick
the lobby?
Speaker 6 (12:41):
And then I'm talking to the one guy down there
and he's like.
Speaker 5 (12:44):
The one guy, I think you're a bit early.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
But your photos? Did you hear the music playing? We
played a whole other song and you disappeared? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (13:00):
Okay, yeah we took we took a picture on the
stage face it was yeah, and we couldn't find you.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
I was a little photoshopping man, I was worried. I
was worried about him. Always early, yeah, always early.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Yeah, well, anyway, it was it was great.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
Kelly did a great job with the poems, very moving,
great moving.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
Can't do about you? Yeah, yeah, I guess not I
saw that coming, Yeah I did not. I did not.
He said, I said, what do I gotta do for you?
Like what he said.
Speaker 1 (13:28):
I'm just gonna give you a probab. You're gonna have
to hold a microphone, you know, up to me. And
I'm like, okay, because he's going to be doing stuff
and I'll hold his mic And then he proceeded to
produce a can of shaving cream that went on my
face pretty much well so he could make Santa's beard.
Speaker 2 (13:41):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, that was fun. I wanted you
to be part of it. Yeah, it was fun, not
really uh. And then it was a message all over
my suit, I gotta get roadkill.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Yeah. Roadkill came out and wipe my face with a
with a towel really nicely.
Speaker 2 (13:53):
And then he said, I got that towel in the
men's room. So that was that was fun. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
So anyway, Yeah, normally on a on a Friday, we
do five things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
I mean, do you do we you.
Speaker 6 (14:07):
That was that was a fun night.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
I know it was a fun night. And Erica was
there and uh yeah it was. It was great.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
And that's that, you know, that's going out in front
of like, you know, the full sold out place and
talking and said not the easiest thing.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
I know, but you got to remember something. She's She's like,
I've been on bigger stages than this. Oh I didn't
know that.
Speaker 6 (14:35):
My my favorite is Alre, so well you know this. Yeah, okay,
I know I used to you know, do your scripts. Okay,
I do a whole play. Okay, I got this all right.
I did not did not know that. I think she's
going to be dropping in. She's gonna come by later today.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
We're gonna do the Buzz Christmas Poetry Jam, in which
you know, we we we play like a four minute
song and during the song, each of us has to
write a poem.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
And Tom, you've never done that with us, right?
Speaker 4 (14:59):
No?
Speaker 6 (14:59):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (14:59):
And and basically we write a poem that has a
Christmas theme.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
It can be I mean I think.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
Scotty Scotty did one once that ended with blunt force trauma.
But I mean that Scotty, that's what he done in
the heart of the dark days and yeah, and then
the listener's vote on that's okay. So I'm looking on
TV some of the news that's coming now. I don't
know if you guys remember I said the other day,
when you look back on twenty twenty five, what is
(15:27):
the biggest pop culture moment?
Speaker 2 (15:29):
And and there was a bunch of things about show
business and.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
Stuff like that, and I thought the biggest pop culture
moment was that was the the Coldplay concert and the
couple that were seeing up in the booth there where
it's the boss and the woman that worked with him
right there was such it it became a it became
a worldwide I don't want to say sensation, but it
became a worldwide news story, like instantly, millions and millions
(15:52):
of hits. And I read an article I think it's
in the New York Times.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
It was also in Boston dot com. Yeah, the New
York Times article.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
Yeah, and she's a New Hampshire woman and they did
not have an affair. They I think they kissed that
night and then he put it on that was its
And the article is really interesting in how those fifteen seconds.
The caught on tape doing that at a show destroyed
her life.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
She got death threats. It's ridiculous. What is that like?
Speaker 1 (16:24):
Seriously, Like, I know, viral videos go viral and they're
out of your control, but death threats Are you kidding me?
This is where we're at. But anyway, it's a very
interesting article. If you get a chance to read it,
it might give you some another perspective that I think,
you know, people should read, you know what I mean,
because it's easy. I mean we were fascinated with it too.
Hey look at that. That's funny and then boom worldwide.
(16:46):
You know, so I did have empathy for the woman.
So anyway, that's one of the news stories. It's out today.
So we'll give you one thing you need to I
don't need to do that. We're really too tired over here.
We're really too tired, Kelly. Let me just say you're
looking good today. Like I got to look at the hair.
It's perfectly quash. Oh I got my fresh cart with Tammy.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
Yeahs day.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
I'm barely sit me up. I'm probably wearing clothes from
three days ago. I don't even know it.
Speaker 2 (17:12):
I just I'm in shorts and I don't remember putting
them on.
Speaker 6 (17:15):
Yeah, I remember one shorts at a while though, because
it's too damn cold.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Who was sitting here at five point fifty in the morning.
And also I get a text from Bergeron saying I'm outside.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
I'm like, what are you do? Be sleeping? Forgot?
Speaker 5 (17:26):
I got the remnants of yesterday Starbucks in front of me.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
Is there? Where's their Starbucks around here? You got me? Yeah?
I don't even know. I don't even there isn't there
one in Manchester? I don't even know. K Cup's not
going to do it for you, Tom. You know it
may have to yeah, I have to yeah, or an
ivy drip. Yeah, that a word too. That a word too.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
Kelly has News Sports Scale is supposed to be joining us,
coming up a little bit after, about just six forty
or so. We'll be talking to him a little Boston Celtics,
and then I don't know what's gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
I'm gonna be honest with you. All bets are off
this morning. We're just you're welcome, skating away on the
thin ice of a new day. We are coming right
back after this. Be right back. Don't move and Jim.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
Yeah, I know, I know, strange voices early in the morning.
Tom Bergern hanging out with us this morning after appearing
last night at Buzzball, and I will say so, the
curtain kind of went up on Tom by surprise, you know.
Speaker 5 (18:37):
He Uh, Well, Jim had the greatest idea, which because
I've sent videos in the last years when I've had
to be on the West Coast, so I guess it
was his his idea. Well, if Tom does a video
where he's introducing the next act but doesn't say who
it is, right, and then the curtain comes.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
Up and there I am. Yeah, yeah, yeah, and it was.
The response was lovely. Yeah, it was really it was.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
It was great because I was putting on one of
like five or seven costumes. You're like Jesus and uh
and I heard it and I was like, that was
that was great? And he sang a song that was
very very amusing and.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
It was not it was not he wrote it. Yeah,
he wrote it. It definitely wasn't that. What was it
was have yourself? It was Christmas song. Yeah, so it
was very very funny.
Speaker 7 (19:26):
I do it here, but it's not for broadcast, and
I wonder, do you wonder like how many people sit
in the audience and then when he says stuff like
that and like they're like, holy crap, that's the AFV guy.
Speaker 5 (19:37):
Well, you know what was interesting because as we made
our way to the lobby after him, we were taking
pictures as we made our way through the crowd, and
one woman came up to me and she said, it
was worth it just to hear you lay that f BO. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
so crazy. The audience was great. You guys were awesome.
Thank you so much for just being.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
You last night. We had a great time.
Speaker 1 (20:00):
Kayla Roade killed Kelly Erica were there and there was
a special appearance by by by Laura who came in
for just a couple of minutes and brought the place
to their feet. So she did a really really nice
job thanking everybody was.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
It was beautiful. So yeah, figures crossed everything.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
Hopefully she'll be back on the on the fifth now
I say that, but you know she'll be back when
she's ready.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
Okay, so just you know, remember that.
Speaker 1 (20:26):
We're scheduled to talk to Ryan's Calabrini, but I don't know.
I texted him and yeah, I haven't got a now we're.
Speaker 5 (20:33):
The ones who over slept for about an hour and
twenty minutes. I know you probably had a good night's sleep. Yeah,
well rested, Yeah yeah yeah, responsibilities.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
Yeah, that's scal I love the guy. I love the guy.
Speaker 6 (20:45):
I do.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
If he makes it, he makes it. If not, we're
just going to roll forward. I will say that. But Scotti,
how are you doing.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
I'm doing all right. I'm just checking in, I'm checking in,
welfare check. I'm doing all right. Yeah, yeah, I.
Speaker 6 (20:57):
Think I got about two and a half hours sleep.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
We are, Yeah, Well, I just I just want to
make sure you're all right.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
I mean, I've never seen anything happening like what happened
with you last night. You left the show. The show,
you disappeared, dude, Okay.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
I thought we were meeting in the lobby, yeah the show.
Let me come to your defense.
Speaker 5 (21:23):
He just it was, uh, how to put it, A
a premature evacuation.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
That's exactly what it was. Scotty left the show for
the finale. I did that, you would be all over
you would.
Speaker 6 (21:39):
You're right, You're right what he's doing, because you know
what he said to me last night.
Speaker 2 (21:43):
I almost was down there with you. Yeah, but he
wasn't didn't say that he was.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Yeah, so we have, but we just we're talking to
the crowd.
Speaker 2 (21:52):
We haven't done the finale yet. We're getting ready for
the finale, and.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
Scotty just speaks feet he goes downstairs to the lobby
that's empty. If you people were wandering down, Yeah, yeah,
I said, we're going down after the show and we
could take pictures with you.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
And Scotty goes down. Why did we go down in between? Yeah?
What do you mean? Well, we went before the last number,
We went into the crowd. Why wouldn't we just wait
till after the show.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
No, because they wanted us to go into the crowd
and the same with people and get people involved in
the song, which they did.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
They I think they loved it.
Speaker 6 (22:23):
You know, you're Kelly, I don't know if you're like
slightly coming to my defense.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
I don't know. I don't know. I don't feel it.
I'm not feeling that at all either.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
So we haven't done this in a while, but today
we get we got Tom here.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
We could do the feud.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
Kayle if you would like to have Tom as your partner,
I would be honored.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
Okay, can I ask a question?
Speaker 5 (22:44):
Just based on my past history here and what I
sang about last night, is this something that I might
swear during No, accidentally.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
I don't think so. I don't think it is basically
the family feud like that. Based on the way that
means the swearing could be very uh not a lot. Yeah. Yeah,
Oh you haven't been to my Thanksgiving dinner? Yeah? Yeah,
well we will do that a little bit after a
little bit after seven, we're coming right back. We'll be
right back Friday, the weekend.
Speaker 4 (23:20):
Who enjoys the weekend?
Speaker 2 (23:22):
We have a wonderful show coming up for you, dude.
I'm so stoked about this. I am so stoked. I
am stop.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
If you guys ready to get his party sign it,
please give a big warm Welcome.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
To the favorite show, my favorite show. Welcome back to
Greg in the Morning Buzz mostly here in spirit. Yes,
yeah I was.
Speaker 5 (23:46):
I was just going to ask you, when you play
something like that, do you feel like you're putting more
pressure on yourself? You got to deliver after that kind
of introduction.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
I don't care. Okay, I'm just kidding.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
No, I uh no, I feel good. I still feel high. Yeah,
from from last night. I mean, I think we're all tired. Yes,
you know, but I think I don't know. I'm still
excited about it.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
And I just was looking at some of the pictures that, uh,
Peter Higgins, the photographer.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
Who did a great job, said, and I'll have some
of them up, but it's just yeah, it was, it was.
It was a lot of fun. It was emotional, it
was funny.
Speaker 5 (24:23):
And the photo you showed me before we went on
the air this morning of my expression to you when
you nail me yeah with a lyric during the Misfits number,
Yeah that's class I skewed you.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
Yeah. Yeah, that's a friends do. That's a friends do. Yeah.
So we'll have some of those pictures up. But it
was really, it was just it was. It was a
lot of fun.
Speaker 3 (24:44):
So and I just say, I mean, I think we
had a bigger crowd than the Jonas brothers.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
Yeah, the go Yeah. I didn't even know that Jonahs
brothers were in town last night until we were trying
to get to the hotel. What is this.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
We're at a traffic jam at like eleven o'clock at night,
and I'm like, going, are you kidding me?
Speaker 2 (24:59):
And it was because the Jonas brothers, the Joe Bros.
You know what I mean, and you know what I mean.
Can I can I just address can I just the
Joe Bros. Fans? Is that what they call him? Okay? Yeah,
I don't know if they have a name or not. Yeah.
The one that was that the ones that were outside
the hotel.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
Yeah, you and and that no good for them? That
was that was fight, no problem. Hey, Joe Bros. Fans,
get the hell out of the road. Okay, you shouldn't
be walking in between in between traffic.
Speaker 2 (25:28):
Get your head out of your Joe bro Okay. I
was like, I wanted to be in the hotel so bad.
I'm like, just get me to a shadower like squirrels
with clothes, Oh my god. And then like this is
I'm like, it's still riding the high I know. And
then they were literally getting high. Yeah, yeah that's true. Kayla,
(25:52):
she's got a nose. She's like coming from I smelled
weed and yeah it was.
Speaker 5 (25:56):
It was walking through the streets. Yeah, it was pretty fun.
That explains my munchies when I checked him.
Speaker 1 (26:02):
Yeah, I know you could smell it too. It was
in our car. I'm like that, Yeah, that's I get that.
I heard it that was sold out.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
Oh yeah, they're very popular, very popular. You know they
we're still that popular.
Speaker 1 (26:13):
Yeah, I just well, it's like the new kids on
the block, you know what I mean. They get like
they're really popular and then maybe not, but then that
fan base never goes away because they want to nostalgia.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
It's it's huge.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
And even though the Jonas brothers aren't that old. I
mean they've been around for a long time. Yeah, they're
in their forties.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
Right, like forty eight. I'm like, I don't know, I
could be like, I don't know. One of them looks
like it. Yeah, yeah, the two look fantastic. I leave
Kevin alone, one of them, one of them, leave Kevin alone.
Speaker 5 (26:41):
Of them got different different family jeans, like you know,
it reminds me of Zeppo Marks Marcus brothers.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
There's always one brother, one of them.
Speaker 6 (26:51):
I think one of them got like everything that the
act and he's a good actor, beautiful wife, a great
voice in everything. The other one his gut looks, got
like good looks, but he's like smart as an eraser.
Kevin he was he was married to the girl from.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
For a little while and then.
Speaker 6 (27:17):
I want to I want to be young and crazy again,
and then the other one. I didn't know that like
runs Sherman Williams, Sherwin.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
Williams. He manages that. Williams is the paint knockoff store.
Speaker 4 (27:37):
You know.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
Don't don't shame Kevin Kevin Williams for I love that.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
I love that.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
Out of that Bergeon comes out with the Zeppel mark.
It goes back to like the thirties, and it goes
to show you last night we were posing for a
picture and this whole family came at us to get
in a picture. They're all wearing the same sweaters, and
I'm like, oh my god, we're like the King Family.
Not one person in the place got the reference except you,
you know, because I went back to like the early
(28:05):
seventies with this family, they all showed.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
They sang in big group Kami. Yeah. The King family
was like, I.
Speaker 1 (28:11):
Don't know how they were. They were like, everybody's wearing
the same thing, all singing. It was, yeah, it was.
It was an excellent reference. I didn't think anybody would
get I.
Speaker 2 (28:19):
Bet there were stories in that family. Oh yeah, yeah,
I bet.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
Whenever you get a big old family wearing the same
sweatshirt sweaters, that's a tell That.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
Was a moment. And then when a bunch of people
looked like us, that was cool. Photo are you serious?
They came up, they said pictures too. They came up
and they stood in front of us. They said where
the buzz. And it took a second.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
Yeah, because one was dressed like Kayla, that one was
dressed like roadkill, and the other one was dressed like
my shirt, arm my white shirt, and one was dressed
like Laura. Yeah, you know, and I'm like, oh my god.
They did a great job. Did It was a lot
of fun and people really got into the got into
the spirit last night.
Speaker 2 (28:57):
So it was it was cool, cool night, cool night.
What else we got going on today? Hold on, that's
not supposed to be there.
Speaker 1 (29:05):
Yeah, we're gonna do the feud and we also are
gonna do the Buzz poetry Jam.
Speaker 2 (29:08):
This is officially our last show in the year.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
We're gonna be on a We're gonna be on a break,
which I gotta be honest with you.
Speaker 2 (29:15):
Yeah, it's coming. It just just the right time.
Speaker 6 (29:18):
Yeah, Tom, this is this is typical Greg. So like
two weeks ago he says, hey, guys, this is what
I'm thinking.
Speaker 2 (29:30):
Okay, this is what we're gonna do is Friday is
gonna be our last show.
Speaker 6 (29:34):
I'm just gonna tell them, listen, we are we're tired,
we're burned out, and so we'll do Buzzball, go and
do the show. We're out, and me and Kelly are
looking at each other and we're like fantastic, you know, absolutely,
and you know.
Speaker 2 (29:47):
Eric is new, She's like whatever whatever.
Speaker 6 (29:50):
So then we go and we have the meeting online
and everything, and then Greg's like, yeah, so listen, guys,
this is what I'm thinking. Uh, we'll do We'll do Buzzball.
We'll come in that Friday and and then we'll come
in the next week Monday and Tuesday, and uh and
and do the show. And like, me and Kelly look
at each other, going, it's it's not what you just said.
It's like you're running for political office. Told you told
(30:14):
us one thing, you got our vote. Yeah, And then
all of a sudden, he's like, so yeah, it was.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
This is what I'm thinking, guys. I want to make
sure you know this is good with you. And we're
gonna do Buzzball. You know, we'll come in that following week.
Speaker 6 (30:27):
We'll do Monday and Tuesday and then we'll go on
on break.
Speaker 2 (30:31):
What were you thinking, Scotty. Scotty is right on.
Speaker 6 (30:37):
Bret sat here and got me and Kelly's vote me
and Kelly, can.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
I ask you a question? Have we started family feud? Yeah?
Not yet yet? No, not yet.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
Scotty is a privileged in the sense that I shield
him from a lot of the outside you know, management
type of things and pressures. Right, I shield because half
of the stuff doesn't happen and whatever.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
So I just keep it, you know, boom, and I
let know when it's time.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
And there was a little bit of there was a
there was kind of like a I don't want to
say a raised eyebrow, but you know how you.
Speaker 2 (31:07):
Get the vibe? Yeah, and you said, yeah, this was
the vibe was a little it was a little off,
and I thought, oh, maybe we're pushing too hard, you
know what I mean. But uh, And so when we
talked about it in the meeting, I was judging the
face that I was looking at, and I just I
made a call because I thought, they don't they don't
want us to do that.
Speaker 5 (31:25):
Oh this is management. Yeah, Suddenly they didn't want you
to rest well and be at your best. It would
be invigorated, but it was hard.
Speaker 6 (31:34):
It was just just reminded me of like the eighties
of the nineties political world, going like I'm not going
to raise your taxes.
Speaker 1 (31:41):
Yeah, heyd, We're going to be the twenty twenties and
the twenty five and twenty fours and twenty threes.
Speaker 2 (31:46):
It happens all the time.
Speaker 6 (31:47):
And then me and Kelly looks at each other going,
that's not what he sold us, Greg lame duck.
Speaker 2 (31:51):
Yeah, he's not when he sold us thirteen minutes ago.
Speaker 6 (31:54):
And then he's looking at us like we're the ones
in like you guys are jerks, you're lazy.
Speaker 2 (31:58):
No, no, No, that was never the thing, and it
might have been.
Speaker 1 (32:01):
I thought I had the vibe, but it wasn't okay,
so maybe I misjudged the vibe. When I went back
to them and said, hey, they were like, of course,
So it wasn't a thing, you know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (32:11):
But yeah, it's what I need, you know what I'm saying, jeezus, Yeah,
not seriously.
Speaker 5 (32:17):
Yeah, when your vibe gauge is that far off, we
need two weeks. No.
Speaker 1 (32:21):
I don't know if it was in the moment, but
it turned out to be so Hey, we would, we would,
you know, we love to command Christmas Day.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (32:31):
I said that if Erica was here, we could check
the vibe meter. Yeah yeah, and she's all about the vibe.
Speaker 1 (32:37):
So last night after the show, when the when the
dressing room right and there were like various states of undress,
I was just dropping the trout like I had I
to do so many changes.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
I let the door open. I don't even care.
Speaker 6 (32:49):
All I know is it looked like a penis, but
it was much smaller.
Speaker 2 (32:53):
Yeah, that's all I would describe it. You're gonna go there, Yeah,
you might be working on the today. That could be
real quick. All right, look on that note. I'll tell
the story later.
Speaker 1 (33:13):
Uh really, just uh bummed by the news about Greg Biffle,
NASCAR driver former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, who he and
his family died in a plane crash yesterday.
Speaker 2 (33:25):
I mean, it's just been you know, it's been one
story after another. But we worked with Greg on several occasions,
had and he was on our show several occasions when
we were at uh then New Hampshire International and then
later New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Always a good dude, really
really nice guy.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
And you know, I mean a lot of most of
the NASCAR drivers are are are really pretty cool. But
he was always really personable and he did a lot
to help when there was a lot of flooding down
in the in the South where he lived. He used
used his own helicopter to you know, deliver food and
supplies to people who are kind of stranded.
Speaker 2 (33:59):
He's he's just an all round good dude. So very
sad story.
Speaker 1 (34:03):
And you know, our condolences to his fans and of
course his his family because he was a good guy.
So it's Friday morning, day after buzzball, we're all pretty wrecked.
Speaker 2 (34:13):
Let's just say it. Let's just put it all on
the table. You know. Scotty is only I have to say.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
Uh, last night he was he was in rare Form,
rare Form. Last night he he had to go out
on stage with Erica, who is considerably taller than him,
and apparently he had something in his contract that I
didn't know.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
I didn't know. I had said to.
Speaker 6 (34:35):
Her, listen, flats, Okay, you need to wear flats. You
don't need to be wearing those heels. Yeah right, yeah,
well like the vibe of the heels.
Speaker 5 (34:45):
Yeah, it was my pleasure to bring the steps to
allow thank you. And as I mentioned having worked with
Aaron Andrews, now we're Aaron and I are the same
height when she's not wearing heels right right, But once
she put the heels on, Oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (35:00):
It was it was Aaron and frodo.
Speaker 1 (35:03):
Yeah. Uh yeah, it was fun, fun night. We'll have
the videos and all of that. A lot to uh,
you know, a lot to discuss. But we are gonna do.
I think we're gonna do. We're gonna do our family feud,
the buzz feud. Uh here coming up in just a
couple of minutes. A couple of news stories. Though it's
a big day, Scotty, it's a day we gotta we
gotta be careful. There's a couple of things.
Speaker 2 (35:23):
There was a big there was a big UFO. There
was a.
Speaker 1 (35:26):
Conglomate like a conglomeration of unidentified flying objects over a
what a air base or something like?
Speaker 2 (35:33):
Was that in Minnesota or something? What? What? What? What
is that? Wow?
Speaker 1 (35:40):
Waiting to hear more details from you guys, it sounds interesting.
Speaker 2 (35:43):
Well, we lost the newsman for more details. Normally a
real show would, yeah, but we don't have that ability.
I don't know if you've noticed. We usually hear that
on the way home. Yeah, right, So I did you
read about it? What did it say? Because I I
saw the handlighter. I just saw. I quickly saw the
headlines on the news. Okay, all right, so there was
(36:05):
that that happened. Also, let me see here there is
UH today is a is a the interstellar comment that
has been zipping through our salt No, the three eye right,
three eye, I think is the name of the comment. Okay,
all right, I see, I don't know because I don't know.
I don't know. Now you're in that zone and hairlib.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
Yeah, the interstellar comment that's been flying through our solar
system is making its closest approach to the Earth. It's
a mirror one hundred and sixty eight million miles from US. Uh,
and then it's gonna zip back out into the galaxy.
But apparently it's pretty big. They call three three I atlas. Okay,
one hundred and sixty eight million miles of the Earth
(36:46):
to night unless it's piloted by aliens, and then it
could take a left via left and you don't know
what's gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (36:51):
All bets will be off. So there's that. Okay.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
So there's another story out thirty eight year old guy
in Italy who tried to hide from the cops.
Speaker 2 (37:05):
I love this. Where did he hide from the cops?
Speaker 1 (37:07):
In He hid from the cops in a in a
in the nativity scene of a church and he posed
as one of the wise men. That that's great that.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
We knew it was a phony. You are holding too
much Murry. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, there you go. It
is all right. So no scal today, no scale today. Okay,
uh no, I'm also a thank you, Yeah, thank you.
I appreciate that was taking orders. That's very very nice.
(37:39):
That's very nice.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Okay, So we're gonna do the feud here in a
couple of seconds, and it's basically like family feud kind
of like yeah, exactly.
Speaker 2 (37:50):
Let me see if there's anything else that I'm supposed
to tell you about. Camel kicks a woman during a
Texas church Christmas show. Oh you know, they can only
take so much camels. I don't know, he's not religious.
Who's bringing a live camel into it? Come on, I
know we season, we have to step it up.
Speaker 1 (38:09):
Camel kicked her during the Champion Forrest Baptist Church Christmas Spectacular.
Speaker 2 (38:15):
I'm sorry it was the performance. Video footage shows the
camel walking down the aisle as a part of a
parade when it kicked out its hind legs, striking the
woman seated in the first aisle of the church. They
called it the double cameltoe. Yeah, okay, all right, thank
you very much, Scotty.
Speaker 5 (38:33):
And there were moments I wish I still hosted America's
Funniest Video.
Speaker 2 (38:37):
Yeah, stuff like that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it was good
last night.
Speaker 1 (38:41):
After the after the show, Scottie, we went to the
hotel and after a couple of minutes, Tom texts me,
he goes, you want to get a beer downstairs, you know,
because they had like a beer in because the bar
was closed because it was late.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
And I'm like, yeah, I'll go we have beer.
Speaker 1 (38:54):
So we have beer and he we pick a couple
of beers out and uh, he opens his and he
takes takes one hit off it, like one small he
puts it down there. That is awful, awful. No, no, well,
now I'm not going to name the band. I'm not
going to name the kind of beer. But I'm like,
and I had a I had a Modello. Right, I
(39:14):
was going to get a Modello especial and that that
I can talk.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
That's that's not bad. But he bought a flavored beer.
Oh disgusting. What I mean?
Speaker 5 (39:24):
It had a blueberry us to it. And that's not
fair to either the beer or a blueberry.
Speaker 2 (39:31):
Like blueberry beers in the summer, won't there's some good
blueberry beers. I sat there, Hold on a second, let
me try that. I tried it. I'm like, this is good,
and he's out and missus V's blood. It was great.
I thought it was great. I thought it was great.
Not a blueberry beer.
Speaker 1 (39:45):
Guy anyway, Greg guy had a model though.
Speaker 2 (39:50):
That's what I got a Modella. What made you pick that?
It's good?
Speaker 4 (39:53):
I was.
Speaker 2 (39:54):
I'm glad he did. I ended up with it. It
was pretty good. The beer here.
Speaker 1 (40:00):
My choices are like the beers that I like it.
I'm not I'm never going to be a beer drinker,
like to drink a lot. But uh, aleig ash white
like a blue moon. And I don't know what this
says about me, or if it says anything at all.
Uh A Modelo especial I've had, which was good. Uh
smittic Smitticks mitis Mittick's out Irish beer.
Speaker 2 (40:18):
And there was another one, Telly, What does this say
about him? Those are good beers?
Speaker 5 (40:22):
Hey, hey, Caro, what was the one that you gave
me backstage last night?
Speaker 2 (40:28):
That was good? That was a good one. Oh it's
from Vermont. I drink it all the time. Why am
I spacing out because you're dumb? Yeah, because we're all
sleeper pride. I'm gonna I'm going with Greg's answer answer.
Speaker 1 (40:42):
This guy smeared my face with shaving cream last night.
Speaker 2 (40:45):
I got he's got a little bit coming into anyway.
Speaker 1 (40:49):
Yeah, so it was it was, It was cool. We
had a We had to chill down because I definitely
was on. I mean I didn't sleep much because my
adrenaline was running.
Speaker 2 (40:57):
From the show. Anyway, Thanks again to everybody.
Speaker 1 (40:59):
Thank you to State Credit Union, Thank you to see
your kitchen bath, and really thank you to Jim Roach,
who is a is the mastermind who works on Buzzball?
Speaker 2 (41:10):
Are you launch?
Speaker 5 (41:11):
And what a nice guy in the midst of all
that chaos. Yahah Yeah, I mean it's like hurting cats
to try to get us all together and at a
point where we can put a show on just from
this one experience I've had, and I couldn't say enough
nice things about it.
Speaker 1 (41:26):
The amount of talent that he pulls together on the
show from all over the place. I mean, you know,
Charlie Farron was was there, Mike Gerard from The Fools
was there. We had I mean, uh, Yako and her her,
We had a string quartet there.
Speaker 2 (41:42):
It was amazing. And Uh and.
Speaker 1 (41:43):
Dimitri the singer, and uh and Nate komp I mean
they did they did the operating ye fantastic. They did
an Aussi tribute that was beautiful and rocked. It was
really it was just so so wide ranging.
Speaker 2 (41:58):
And that's Jim. That's what Jim does.
Speaker 1 (41:59):
And he is uh, he's got a heart as big
as as big as you could get. But he's a
great guy and he's the executive producer who's.
Speaker 2 (42:06):
Really responsible for all the magic. So thank you to Jim.
So there you go, switch back tub by the way, Tom.
Speaker 1 (42:11):
That was okay, Yeah, it was real good. So are
we Blueberries? I don't know what your problem is. I
really don't. It was good.
Speaker 5 (42:18):
You know, there's a line in the sand for me
and blueberries are on one side, and I p A's
are on the other.
Speaker 1 (42:24):
Okay, all right, all right, so kayla, are we gonna
can we do this here? I I think that we could. Uh,
I think we can do it, and I think we
can do some. I think we've got some. Brett Michael's
tickets for one of the shows coming to the Casino
Ballroom in May.
Speaker 2 (42:37):
He's coming back.
Speaker 1 (42:38):
He missed the show and he rescheduled, so he's gonna
do two shows at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom. And
I trust that we'll be able to get you in
on the show if you would love to play time.
Speaker 2 (42:56):
It's a Friday few.
Speaker 1 (42:56):
We haven't done it a while, you know, because obviously
we were down show members.
Speaker 2 (43:02):
But today we're gonna do it.
Speaker 1 (43:04):
And we have for you a fifty dollars gift card
to our friends over the Kittery Trading Post shop over
two thousand of the best clothing, footwear and outwear gear
brands on Route one and Kittery and at KTP dot
com one of my favorite stores. Do a lot of
shopping there. The staff is incredible, big fan. Fifty doll
gift card plus the winner is gonna get the winner's
(43:25):
gonna get tickets to see Brett Michaels, the loser walks
away empty handed. So we were playing for it's all
or nothing in this one. Okay, it's the last show
of the year. The prize closet is veritably empty empty Okay,
but that's it.
Speaker 2 (43:39):
Okay. I would have give you a protein Barber bergron
ate it. So that's how it's gonna go. So triple
eight five five six seven six two five, if you would.
Speaker 1 (43:49):
Like to play the Friday time, all right, let me
make a couple of adjustments here.
Speaker 2 (43:53):
And while I do that, Scott mcmullin's gonna talk to you.
Oh good, can't wait. What's new everybody? One to night.
Thank you guys last night for hanging with us. That
was a lot of fun.
Speaker 6 (44:07):
I know beforehand, I was nervous, excited, wanted everything to
go all right, and I think it was a fantastic evening.
Speaker 2 (44:15):
So wow, way watching improv theater, thought, he's good, he's good.
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (44:20):
You're right there, Johnny on the spot when Greg needed
his face clear.
Speaker 6 (44:25):
Down, saving I said, I found a towel in the
men's room now.
Speaker 2 (44:31):
And and and cleaned him up. It's the thought that counts,
not the location of the no.
Speaker 1 (44:36):
During Kelly's poem, he was going to read something about
Santa's beard, and he produced a can of shaving cream.
I never gave it a second thought. And by the way,
I never know what he's going to do, Like we don't.
I say, what do you need me to do? He said,
this is it? Boom, and I don't know what he's
going to do. So it was I did not see
it coming. You guys did, apparently I did not.
Speaker 2 (44:54):
As you saw the can, I'm like, I know where
this is going. I did not. I did not. All right,
so triple eight five five six seven.
Speaker 1 (45:01):
Six two five, and you can play. You have to choose.
It's uh, Kelly and Roadkill and Kayla is going to
team with Tom. So you get to choose which team
you'd like to play with. All right, over here, got
this over here, got ready to go logistically okay, and uh,
(45:21):
we're gonna go to Mark.
Speaker 2 (45:23):
Good morning, Mark? Hey, how are you going good? How
you doing? Hey? I'm doing going Hey.
Speaker 6 (45:30):
Scotty was on the phone, Macky, he's on the phone, Hey,
going on here your mother for me?
Speaker 2 (45:35):
Yeah? Mark your first. So you get to decide would
you like to play with Tom and Kayla, would you
rather play with Kelly and Roadkill. I'm gonna go with
Kelly and road Kill. Okay, that doesn't happen, Thank you
man making us feel Okay, you know it's okay. I
don't know what you said, but it sounds good to me.
Speaker 1 (45:56):
All Right, hold on the line and let's go to uh,
let's see if we can go to.
Speaker 2 (46:02):
We're gonna go to Anthony. Turn your radio, do Anthony, Hey,
good morning. All right man, Anthony, you are gonna be
playing with Tom and cayleab Okay, perfect, all right, now,
all right Mark, Mark and Anthony. There's a delay on
the phone. It's not that uh, Mark and Anthony.
Speaker 1 (46:20):
You guys know how we play the game, correct, Yes, yeah, okay,
all right, here we go. All right, So Mark, you
chose first, you have Kelly and Roadkill. So, Mark and Anthony,
I'm gonna ask you to step up to the imaginary
podium in your mind.
Speaker 2 (46:33):
Okay, you picture yourself on the.
Speaker 1 (46:35):
Stage, which is now you are drenched in bright orange neonline. Okay,
they're standing up at the podium. I'm gonna ask you
a question. The top five answers are on the board.
If you think you know the answer. Yell out your
name like it's a buzzer and a game show. Okay, Okay,
see Kelly, how hard is it to host a TV
(46:55):
game show?
Speaker 2 (46:56):
Anyway? You know what I'm saying. Don't take that from him.
Nobody's as good as him.
Speaker 5 (47:04):
He'll get Yeah, I know, I'll be out next to
his car before he gets to it.
Speaker 1 (47:09):
Like okay, So Mark, Mark, and Anthony, here we go.
Use your name like it's a buzzer inning game show.
Name something you wouldn't want to have a view of
from your house.
Speaker 2 (47:21):
Tom No, Mark, No, I go to Mark.
Speaker 1 (47:26):
What do you got Name something you wouldn't want to
have a view of from your house.
Speaker 6 (47:32):
My naked neighbor.
Speaker 2 (47:34):
Your naked neighbor is the naked neighbor up there, neighbor,
he is up there. The neighbor is the number two
answer on the board. The naked neighbor the neighbors qualifies. So, Anthony,
since he didn't get the first time, you get a
chance to steal it if you can come up with
what the number one answer is Something you wouldn't want
(47:56):
to have a view of from your house, Anthony, I
would say a landfill. A landfill is landfill? There no
one answer on the board dump slash landfill. So Anthony,
do you want to play it? Do you want to
pass on this one?
Speaker 6 (48:15):
I think we'll play this one.
Speaker 1 (48:16):
Gonna play this one. Okay. We go over to Kayla Taylor.
Named something you wouldn't want a view of from your house?
Speaker 2 (48:25):
That one? That was my answer. Let's see here something
I don't want a view of from my house. In
the school I don't want to see other kids running around?
You gonna be allowed? Okay? Alright? Is is a school there?
Show me school.
Speaker 5 (48:45):
There?
Speaker 2 (48:45):
Okay? That is one strike Tom. Something you wouldn't want
to have a view of from your house? You changing
into another costume?
Speaker 6 (48:54):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (48:55):
Okay, all right, is that your answer? I'm going with that.
You're gonna go with me change?
Speaker 5 (48:59):
Having seen it backstage at the buzz Ball last night,
I wasn't shy.
Speaker 2 (49:03):
It's something I never want to see it. I was
not shy me changing. All right? Thanks, thank you, Scotting.
Everybody knows that was here.
Speaker 4 (49:12):
No, it's not there.
Speaker 1 (49:15):
I'm Anthony, keep yourself alive here. Name something you wouldn't
want to have a view of from your house.
Speaker 2 (49:23):
I would say, like a neighbor's trashy.
Speaker 1 (49:24):
Yard, neighbor's trashy yard. Uh, No, that's not there. I
think that would have been included in neighbor. I think
actually it's not there. It's not even in the top seven.
That's free strikes. So you have a cemetery, I have.
Speaker 2 (49:47):
I got highway or fact or highway or prison? What
do you think you got? A Mark? You got an answer?
Or do you want to go with one of theirs?
What do you got? Yeah, I'm not sure.
Speaker 6 (49:57):
I guess prison sounds good.
Speaker 2 (49:59):
I want to go to the prison. It is a
prison there, Yeah, it is. Actually it's the number four
answer on the board, Scotty number six, number of three
answer was cemetery. And the last one junk yard. A
junk yard. We're gonna have a junk yard there. Sorry, Mark,
you get the.
Speaker 1 (50:16):
First point, uh, and if you get the next point,
you you win. So now Kayla and Roadkill step up
to the pody buddy for question number two.
Speaker 2 (50:26):
Okay, here we go. We're going to go with uh
with this one name something that might be shaky.
Speaker 1 (50:37):
Kayla, Yes, Kayla, your car, your car, show me your
car suck?
Speaker 2 (50:44):
Not o. Hey, you only had a couple of hours
sleep sleep. Dang, Scotty, you get a shot at it.
Name something that might be shaky. A table, a table,
Show me a table? Is it there? Number three answer?
The board is a table? Uh so uh, Anthony, you guys,
you guys want to play? You want to pass? What
(51:04):
do you want to do? I don't mind playing? What
do you think?
Speaker 6 (51:09):
Wait?
Speaker 2 (51:09):
Wait, wasting? Whould you ask? Mark? I'm sorry? Mark, I'm sorry. Yeah, Yeah,
we can play.
Speaker 1 (51:17):
Okay, we're gonna play. Kelly Brown named something that might
be shaky. Jell o jello, Show me jello.
Speaker 2 (51:28):
That's the number five answer on on the board. Right,
I was laughing at.
Speaker 5 (51:34):
I was laughing at what Roadkill was writing down as
the answers we.
Speaker 2 (51:39):
Could never share with. Right, Yeah, you're right, okay, so nothing,
that's something that might be shaky. Mark, over to you
your hand.
Speaker 1 (51:47):
Your hand, show me that hand? Yes, a person or hands?
A person or hands? Okay, So there's what was that
was number one? That was the number one answer on
the board. There is, there's two left and now we
go over to uh to you, Scotty, something that might
be shaky?
Speaker 2 (52:11):
The remnants of your career? Ten five washing machine? Three
a washing machine? It's a washing machine up there that
is not there. Apparently not that good.
Speaker 1 (52:29):
That is your first strike, actually, Kelly, something might be shaky.
Ten nine eight seven snuggle barstool a barstool?
Speaker 2 (52:46):
Is it there? Kelly was the number six answers, just
outside the top five. Yes, all right, so two strikes.
Speaker 1 (52:54):
All right over to you, Mark. You can save yourself here.
If not to get a chance to steal and tie
the game.
Speaker 2 (53:01):
Might be shaky. I have no idea shaker.
Speaker 1 (53:08):
Assault assault all right, there you guys not there, but
there you go.
Speaker 2 (53:12):
So you guys talk about it and see Anthony talk
about it with Tom and Kayla. Something that might be shaky.
I the only thing I have is like your voice,
your voice, boy? Yeah, okay, it's not a bad answer.
Mine would Mine would have been my grasp on reality. Yeah, yeah,
I don't. I don't really, I don't. I don't have
anything but a voice sounds good? What you want?
Speaker 1 (53:34):
You want to go with that, Anthy, Yeah, we'll go
with bo. If you get it, you tie the game.
If not, the gentleman, hold on for the wind. Show
me your voice not there? What was there? Was an earthquake?
Slash fault line?
Speaker 2 (53:51):
Okay, well, I mean it's shaky and uh and the
fourth is a ladder.
Speaker 1 (53:58):
A ladder a shake ladder is what I mean. Yeah, chair,
barstool was just outside of it. You had that killed
that was closed. So Mark, congratulations. You get the fifty
dollars give car to Kittery Trading Post, and you also
get the tickets to see Brett Michael's coming up with
the Handtic Casino hand Beneach Casino Ballroom coming up in May. Anthony,
you have nothing. You don't win anything, but you have
(54:19):
our undying love and affection. Okay, which is you get?
Speaker 2 (54:22):
Well, King, I'm not I'm not I'm not saying that,
but thank you, thank you very much. All right, hold on,
hold on, Mark, We're gonna hold on. Be right with
you there. Hold on. We were going out on top
roady we are. Yeah, that was a big one game
winning streak. You know what I mean what we own December? Yeah,
you're good. We haven't played it like over a month,
(54:44):
you know. And you don't have to go over it.
Kayla and and Laura smoked them throughout the year.
Speaker 1 (54:54):
Yeah, like nineteen to five or six or something pretty good.
Usually I'm not lying. Don't look at me like I'm
not you.
Speaker 2 (55:01):
Can't be positive, right, very positive, actually complimenting the ladies.
Speaker 4 (55:09):
You know, Tom, you.
Speaker 2 (55:19):
Know that's that's the sound of someone who got like
an hour's sleep. You're not alone, made you are not alone.
It is Kelly Gusts last forty miles an hour at
times today, funny rain high at fifty seven.
Speaker 1 (55:33):
I did there was something I wanted to bring up
and I didn't tell you this, Scotty Kelly.
Speaker 6 (55:39):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (55:39):
It happened after the show when we were driving to
the hotel. I know where you're going. It was weird.
Speaker 1 (55:48):
Yeah, so we pull up to this light, so we left.
We took pictures and everybody was great. It was such
a great night. I was high, you know, emotionally it was.
It was Laura came in and made an appearance and
then and quickly left.
Speaker 2 (56:03):
She gave an emotional.
Speaker 1 (56:04):
Appearance last night at Buzzball that was absolutely brave and
beautiful and definitely I think you know, it definitely was.
It was a heartfelt and it was lovely and it
was a huge thank you to you the audience, whether
you were there or not, it was a huge thank
you to It was beautiful. So so we get in
(56:26):
the car and we leave. Tom had left probably I
don't know, ten minutes, five minutes or ten minutes earlier
I thought than we did. But Caylea and I we
get off the highway and we come up to the
stop sign at the end, the stoplight at the edge
of the exit, and and all of a sudden, this
car comes up next to us, and I look over.
Speaker 2 (56:44):
I'm like, is that Tom, right? And Kayla's like, yeah,
I think it is. So. I hit the horn a
couple of times. Nothing.
Speaker 3 (56:56):
He didn't move, he didn't flinch, his hands didn't move.
Speaker 2 (57:00):
He was locked in.
Speaker 1 (57:01):
Oh he was locked. He was locked it straight ahead.
And I'm thinking, like maybe maybe not.
Speaker 2 (57:05):
I don't know if I'm like, no, that that's Tom.
Speaker 1 (57:07):
Well the window, the window was a little foggy, you know,
because it was cold.
Speaker 2 (57:11):
Whatever, guys, he's famous. No hold on. But and now, I,
of course I hear the beep.
Speaker 5 (57:20):
I see in my peripheral vision that you you pull
I didn't know it was you at the time you
pull up. You back up a little bit, beeping again
to see if it was really you.
Speaker 2 (57:29):
Yeah, we gave it away. Was it the rollos? Dude?
Speaker 5 (57:34):
Well, it was finally it was finally Kayla yelling Tom
and I looked over then yeah, and and uh, and
you're you're starting to give me a hard time. I said, look,
you don't just respond to anybody who's beeping at you
at a stop like you don't know what the hell
is going to happen.
Speaker 2 (57:53):
So I go into complete lockdown. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's
not it's not what you said. No, those aren't words
you said. Well, no, you said, I can't say that.
He goes, I'm I'm not looking over at some blank
and strange car. I'm like, dude, he goes, I'll get killed.
I'm like no. It was so funny.
Speaker 1 (58:09):
And then I never thought about in in Hollywood, you
know where you spend some time obviously, you know, you
get recognized and everybody's looking at cars next to him
because that might be a celebrity, and then they try
to get your attention and you just don't know which
way this's going to go.
Speaker 2 (58:25):
So and I never thought of that.
Speaker 1 (58:27):
So it was a little bit of a learning experience
for me about what it's like to be there.
Speaker 5 (58:31):
You were mentioning off Heir that he had a situation
where it turned out to be a very nice person.
Speaker 2 (58:37):
Yeah yeah, yeah, you approached her. Yeah in a parking lot.
Yeah yeah, yeah, you recognized very nice, very nice exchange
and everything like that.
Speaker 1 (58:43):
But people don't think when you come up to someone
and they don't know you, it can be a little bit. Okay,
people get you know, rightfully. So and you were stoic.
I thought you were dead. I think he's a lot.
Speaker 6 (58:57):
I think he's dealing with another one of his crazy.
Speaker 2 (59:00):
Yeah I did.
Speaker 1 (59:01):
I didn't even know. I didn't even know. But anyway,
so you always you know what. I'm always learning. I'm
always learning. I will tell you that right now. Well
I'm here to teach.
Speaker 2 (59:09):
Yes, yes, thank you.
Speaker 1 (59:10):
Buzz Poetry jam coming up in a little bit, and yeah,
we're gonna do that, and what else is going on?
I know there's other people that I really wanted to thank,
but again, I will say that for those of you
that were there at the end of the show. Near
the end of the show, Laura came in. We are
(59:31):
the piano player. Joe delou grew up with her husband Jeff,
who was we all know passed away and h and
had a song called coming Home.
Speaker 2 (59:39):
It was an instrumental song.
Speaker 1 (59:41):
It was beautiful it was a beautiful, beautiful song, and
we wanted him to play it, you know, and he said,
I want to play it for Jeff.
Speaker 2 (59:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (59:48):
Absolutely, So we dedicated it to Jeff and he played
it and Laura said, I wanna Can I come in
and thank people. I'm like, yeah, yeah, of course she can, obviously,
but if you can't, if it's too much, then you know,
you don't have to.
Speaker 2 (01:00:08):
Nobody knows.
Speaker 1 (01:00:09):
It'll be a complete secret, right And we didn't know
until moments I was texting her back, you know, throughout
the show. We didn't know until moments before that that
was going to happen. And so after the song played,
I just walked out on the stage and I put
my hand, you know, I pointed toward the stage. She
came out, and the place erupted. Everybody was on their feet,
(01:00:32):
and then she as emotional as that in itself, was
that outpouring of love and support which was enormous and
everybody felt it, you know, there was I don't know
if there was a dry eye in the house. She
found the strength to give a message of thanks that
was really beautiful and.
Speaker 2 (01:00:51):
It was astounding A yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it really was.
Speaker 1 (01:00:53):
Yeah, And we just we just stood behind her and
she thanked everybody and then.
Speaker 2 (01:00:57):
She she she she left.
Speaker 1 (01:01:00):
You know, she's not ready for for a lot of
people yet, but she did beautifully, and.
Speaker 2 (01:01:06):
Kudos to her and bravos to her.
Speaker 1 (01:01:08):
She she called when we were driving, we were talking
to her on the phone and she was she goes,
I don't even know what I said. I'm like, you
couldn't have been more perfect it, I mean beautiful. So
and everything goes. Well, we'll see her, uh when we
come back in the new year. Now, if she's not ready,
then she's not ready. We'll be here when she is.
And that's that's all we can say.
Speaker 2 (01:01:29):
Yeah, absolutely absolutely, all right. So there you go.
Speaker 8 (01:01:47):
Check out the Buzz on demand anytime anywhere. Go to
Morningbuzz dot com, keyword on demand and the Buzz is
on whenever you want. Now, welcome back to Greg in
the Morning Buzz.
Speaker 2 (01:02:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:02:03):
I'm getting all these texts that are saying, just hearing
about you know, what Laura did was bringing tears to
my eyes.
Speaker 2 (01:02:08):
Well you should have been in the audience.
Speaker 5 (01:02:09):
Oh my gosh, you should have on the stage, all
of us standing behind her. I was just I had
goose bumps at how eloquent she was, just her taking
in all the love from the audience.
Speaker 2 (01:02:22):
It was beautiful and giving it back. It's one of
those things.
Speaker 6 (01:02:25):
Told Kelly and I a quick little little story last
night that her youngest said, Mom, you know I can
go and get you know, I'll hang out with you
and everything.
Speaker 2 (01:02:35):
That's cool, And she goes, is this because you.
Speaker 6 (01:02:37):
Don't want to go to school tomorrow?
Speaker 2 (01:02:41):
But if I would go, I would hope that. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:02:44):
So one of the thing about those kind of moments, right,
is that yes, there is sadness in it, but there's
also there's also beauty in it and hope, you know,
because it all tied together with the night because and
this is what I said after she you know, after
she finished, because who's I don't want to follow that,
(01:03:05):
you can't follow that. But it was really just you know,
taking time to say, look, that was a beautiful moment.
Speaker 2 (01:03:10):
And this is what every is.
Speaker 1 (01:03:11):
This is what Buzzball is about every year, in the
sense that it's reaching out and helping others and you know,
remembering your neighbors taking care of each other.
Speaker 2 (01:03:20):
That's the whole theme.
Speaker 1 (01:03:21):
The whole theme of it every year is either something
to do with giving back, taking care of each other,
checking on people. You know, if you know somebody that's struggling,
all those things, that's what Buzzball is all about.
Speaker 2 (01:03:32):
And she encapsulated it. It was just it was beautiful.
It was beautiful.
Speaker 5 (01:03:36):
You mentioned on stage last night, just the impact of
that audience in terms of Lenda Helping Can. How many meals,
how many people will be just from last night.
Speaker 1 (01:03:47):
I mean it's gonna be it's gonna be over four
thousand meals because the places like the Newmpshire Food Bank
and the Vermont Food Bank, they get they get buying quantity,
you know what I mean, So they get a discount,
so five dollars can get two nutritious meals nutritious meals.
And yeah, so that extrapolate from that and it gets
it's going to be more than four thousand meals will
(01:04:08):
be served.
Speaker 2 (01:04:09):
Wonderful.
Speaker 1 (01:04:09):
You know, there's twelve agencies and one of the smaller
agencies served over eight thousand meals. Small one of the
smaller agencies, you know, So the impact of what we
do there and the dollars that you give when we
do the Lenda Helping Can. On January fifteenth, and sixteenth
goes way further than you would think, which is a
beautiful thing. And it lasts all year long. You know,
(01:04:29):
it's not just like I know, we'd do it before Thanksgiving.
It's not just for the holidays. It goes all year long.
So that's the that's the impact that you have. And
last night was kind of about thanking you for that.
I did want to I did want to ask you
something because it was a week ago. It was this
past Monday actually that you know the Roberryiner story. We
(01:04:52):
all heard about the terrible rob Ryiner story, and I
know what.
Speaker 6 (01:04:56):
It came to me, as you know, I the news
and everything, and everybody I know that has ever ever
talked to him or interviewed him and met him always
said he's a really nice guy. And I always believe
that really nice guys hang out with really nice guys.
So I immediately was like, Tom, did you did you
have any type of.
Speaker 2 (01:05:15):
You know, interaction with him?
Speaker 6 (01:05:16):
Yeah, because I was, I meant to ask you that
last night, but things were a bit busy, Yeah they were.
Speaker 2 (01:05:20):
I was.
Speaker 5 (01:05:21):
I was really close friends with his dad, Carl Reiner,
and on several occasions, partly because of that, I got
to meet Rob and most notably and I reposted it
on my Instagram page when when Carl and Rob were
the first father son team in history to uh go
(01:05:42):
to that that hand and footprint ceremony at the Chinese
Theater and theater yeah grow. And so Carl asked me
if I would introduce him, and Billy Crystal introduced Rob,
and Norman Lear was there and it was just such
a lovely afternoon event and the affection that was evident
(01:06:05):
between Carl and his son was just so heartwarming. And
some of the ABC events, you know, I'd see Rob
at those, but it just what was surreal, apart from
all the other aspects of that tragic story that are surreal.
I was in the midst of hosting the fundraiser for
(01:06:27):
the Asner Family Center. We have this star studded reading
of the screenplay of It's a Wonderful Life, and Stiller
was there in one zoom box and.
Speaker 2 (01:06:36):
Martin shortca Michael Shannon to.
Speaker 5 (01:06:39):
Michael Shannon Ray, and I was getting these news hits
on my phone because at first police had been dispatched
to the Reiners home, but they didn't know if it
was in fact Robin Michelle and as more news came out,
I just had to put the phone on way but
(01:07:01):
just just so so tragic and that that Nick has
been charged too.
Speaker 1 (01:07:08):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (01:07:09):
And and I never met Nick, I never met Rob
and Michelle's kids, but I can only speak to what
I saw from Carl and Rob and just loving family
and the most genuine people. I mean, h you know,
the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. And so
that what you hear said about rob By, those who
(01:07:29):
worked with them and knew him, is evidence of that.
Speaker 2 (01:07:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:07:32):
Even Kevin Bacon said the best experience in my life
was he.
Speaker 2 (01:07:35):
Just he came across that way, you know, like sometimes
people people in Hollywood. Yeah, people you know, you never know.
But it's like everybody spoke so highly. We had him
one Okay, I wasn't sure if you gret he was great.
He was great, very very kind.
Speaker 1 (01:07:54):
Yeah, so that was I thought of you too, And
I knew because we talked, you know, that you had a.
Speaker 2 (01:07:59):
Connection Aim Tom.
Speaker 1 (01:08:01):
The thing about Tom is he really appreciates, you know,
those that came before us.
Speaker 2 (01:08:05):
You know, it's like appreciating if.
Speaker 1 (01:08:07):
You like rock music, you'll go back to the greats
that made the you know, the classics that last forever.
Speaker 2 (01:08:12):
Tom's that way with television.
Speaker 1 (01:08:14):
Carl Reiner, who wrote the Dick Van Dyke Show, You
Yeah Yeah, Alan Brady and and and people like him,
and Dick Van Dyke, whom he's friends with, who just
turned one hundred years old. Tom actually does the audiobook
of his new book.
Speaker 5 (01:08:30):
A hundred Rules for Living to one hundred. I gotta
like he asks you to do that. He can't even
fathom that.
Speaker 1 (01:08:38):
And I know you're friends with the guy, and when
you get to be friends with someone like that, they're
just people, but it's still.
Speaker 2 (01:08:44):
That guy in your mind. That is your idol. I
think that never leaves I mean that never leaves me.
Speaker 5 (01:08:51):
The the the kid from Haveral, Massachusetts, is always part
of my reaction to that, right, and you know, to
have them asked me to do it, And it was
interesting after I signed the deal to do it, I
said to the publisher, what you don't know is I
(01:09:13):
would have done this for free.
Speaker 2 (01:09:17):
Lease chase.
Speaker 1 (01:09:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:09:18):
But and I told Arlene and Dick, I said, you
realize I was doing this for an audience of two.
Speaker 2 (01:09:24):
Yeah, right, I really was doing it for them.
Speaker 5 (01:09:26):
And the greatest praise I've gotten for having done the
audio book is when people say I forgot that it
wasn't Dick right at one point.
Speaker 2 (01:09:37):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (01:09:38):
And Dick is wonderfully candid and self effacing in this book.
It's a wonderful book, whether you listen to the audio
book or actually read the actual book itself. And he
writes about Mary Poppins and how he was shooting it
in England surrounded by British actors who were too polite
to tell him his cockney accent kind of sucked.
Speaker 2 (01:09:59):
Yeah. Yeah, And so I asked.
Speaker 5 (01:10:01):
Arlene as I were coming up to that point, I'm
about to do the chapter about Dick and his cockney accent.
Speaker 2 (01:10:08):
Should I do a bad cockney Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:10:10):
Yeah, yeah, she said yes, oh yeah, well you know,
do it like.
Speaker 2 (01:10:13):
You wrote it. Yeah, okay, yeah, that's great, that's great.
All right. So it's a little bit before eight.
Speaker 1 (01:10:19):
We are going to do the poetry gym coming up
in the in the eight o'clock hour, all right, So
Thom's never done that before. And how this operates is this,
uh we all, I'm gonna play like a four minute song, okay, okay,
and in the four minutes.
Speaker 2 (01:10:34):
Christmas song or just generic song any song.
Speaker 1 (01:10:37):
It could be a heavy metal Okay, it could be
the song you're gonna play.
Speaker 2 (01:10:41):
I know you're gonna play a Christmas song and play Christmas.
It will help. Yeah, I'll play a Christmas song, all right, thanks?
Speaker 1 (01:10:47):
And uh, and then we write a short poem that's
me long all right, short poem, and then the listeners.
Speaker 2 (01:10:54):
Will judge which is the best.
Speaker 1 (01:10:56):
And uh, Kayla is across the hall, and now Eric
is joining her.
Speaker 2 (01:11:02):
Erica, nice heels.
Speaker 1 (01:11:04):
Last night, you upstage, nice, really nice.
Speaker 5 (01:11:11):
You know what you may have upstaged. You gave him
some welcome shade from all the likes.
Speaker 1 (01:11:16):
That's right, that's right after the show, Kayla, what is it?
She said when we were talking about the vibe. I'm like,
dude that I said to Erica. The people love you.
I love the people. I love the people, all right.
It so all right, So if you want you can,
you're welcome to be part of.
Speaker 2 (01:11:35):
The poetry jam. Good, all right, you feel the poetry vibes,
all right. So we're gonna but you can't write it.
You can't write it until we play the song. Okay,
So no Cheatsy's all right. And the
