Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast, from Cinderella moments
to becoming grandparents for the first time, to experiencing a

(00:26):
heartache and healing from above. It's the variety of callers
and stories that make this such a special place to
share with you each day.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Welcome to Hey it's Delilah.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Hi.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Good evening, Amy.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Hi Delilah.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
What can I do for you, young lady?

Speaker 3 (00:47):
Well, me, I'm kind of having trouble reconnecting with my
soulmates and I'd like to maybe get back closer like
we used to be. We've been married three and a
half years and can't imagine in life without him. But
lately I think for both of us it's been hard
to imagine life with each other. But I do believe
in him, and I believe in me, and I believe

(01:08):
in us.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Are we still living under the same roof?

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Yes we are?

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Okay, that's good. And is there like.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
An issue or a ton of issues?

Speaker 2 (01:17):
A ton of issues?

Speaker 3 (01:18):
It's a few, a few.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
But here's here's the thing I'm discovering as I get older.
It doesn't really matter what the issue is, if it's
money or our communications or intimacy kids. What matters is
if you handle it with respect for each other.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
Absolutely.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
If there is ever contempt or disrespect towards the other person,
the issue can be as silly as what bowl the
dog drinks out of. But if there is contempt or
disrespect on either part, the marriage is going to go
down the toilet.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
Yes, I'm living that, and you know, I think we
both know that I and I do try so.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
If there is contempt in your heart or his heart
towards you, or your heart towards him, that's what you
got to look at, not the issues, not the kids
and the money and the time and the frustration and
the housework and the blah blah blah blah blah. And
if you guys can, like you said, reconnect and find
that respect that led you to this place in the
first place, that caused you to say I do. Yep,

(02:17):
if that can be resurrected, brought back, re established, focused.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
On, Oh, that would be so nice.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
How about I find a song to help you do that?

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Thank you so much, Stephanie.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Hi, this is Delilah. What can I do for you.

Speaker 5 (02:38):
Well, I want to have you dedicate a song to
one of my best friends in the whole world, Joanna.
Joanna is going through what I think is by far
the most important decision a woman could ever do, and
that's giving your child up for adoption.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
She decided a couple.

Speaker 5 (02:59):
Of months ago, and we went through the whole process
of picking out a family, and we met them and
we fell in love with them right away. And so
it's kind of a twofold dedication because it would go
to Ron and Brenda also, And right now it's just
coming up to that time where it's time for her

(03:20):
to sign the papers, and she's really having a lot
of her mind says one thing, her heart says another thing,
and she knows what is right, and I just think
she needs just a little bit of extra prayers and confidence.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
And when does the baby do?

Speaker 5 (03:36):
Actually, Bryden was born on April sixteenth, so he's already
been born and he's actually staying with the adoptive family already.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
So this is just the final paperwork, the legal work.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
Yes, and this is the stuff that's really tugging on her.
And she tells me all the time, you know, I
know what I have to do, and I know what's right,
but it's just hard. And you know, she tells me
all the time, you don't you know, I'm not as
strong as you think I am. And I tell her
all the time, honey, as strong as you are. Just

(04:11):
to this point is so much that many women could
ever even imagined.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Well, I'm glad you made it through.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
And I'm going to play a wonderful song for that
precious little baby and for both of his mamas.

Speaker 5 (04:24):
Thank you so much, Delilah.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
All right, Steve, how are you tonight?

Speaker 6 (04:40):
I've had better nights.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
What can I do to make it better?

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Well?

Speaker 6 (04:43):
I was longero, If I can share a little story
with you, sure, about twenty one years ago, I probably
made the biggest mistake of my life, and I let
the woman that I love more than anything in the
world go because I was young and stupid.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
How young and how stupid.

Speaker 6 (04:59):
We were seventeen when we met and I was twenty
when we broke up for the second time, which was
the last time.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
Yeah, you were young, and when we're that young, we're
all stupid.

Speaker 6 (05:09):
Yeah you're not kidding.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
That some of us more stupid than others.

Speaker 6 (05:13):
Well, I think I fit the more stupid than others group.
It's been all of these years and I still think
about her every single day, and.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
You've loved her ever since. And how many years has
it been.

Speaker 6 (05:23):
It's been about twenty one years since we broke up.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
And now where are you at in this process?

Speaker 6 (05:30):
Well? I got married about six years ago and it's
the first time I've been married. And she got married
about a year after we broke up the last time.
And I know she's still married to the same person,
and I just hope that she's a lot happier than
I am.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
So you're married to somebody that isn't the love of
your life?

Speaker 6 (05:49):
No, she is not.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Does she know this?

Speaker 6 (05:53):
We are cheetering on divorce.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
Are you sure she's not the one that you're supposed
to be with and you're just going back your memory
for comfort or do you know that you made a
huge mistake.

Speaker 6 (06:04):
I know I made a huge mistake. Oh, Steve, ouch, Yeah,
you're not kiddous.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
What's her name, Steve?

Speaker 6 (06:12):
Her name is Pamela.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
All right, let me see what I can do for you. Honey.

Speaker 6 (06:16):
Well, thank you very much for everything. And I just
want to say God bless you. It's a wonderful thing
you do.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
Thanks honey.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Hi, good evening. You've called Delilah. Who's this?

Speaker 7 (06:31):
This is Angie?

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Hi Angie? What can I do for you tonight?

Speaker 7 (06:35):
Well?

Speaker 4 (06:35):
I was just.

Speaker 7 (06:36):
Calling because you know, I've listened to your show since
I was sixteen and I'm forty two now, and I
listened to your love songs, and I've been with my
husband twenty five years to your thick, thin, good, bad,
and ugly, and I just wanted to dedicate a song
to him.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Has it been mostly thick, mostly thin, mostly good, bad
or mostly ugly?

Speaker 7 (06:57):
Well, it's been good. We have a good relationship and
good life. We have three amazing kids and been together
since I was an eighteen year old.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
So, Andie, what's his name, Kevin? And what song did
you dance to when you were eighteen and you first
fell in love?

Speaker 7 (07:15):
I fell in love with him long before he fell
in love with me. And we've never danced a day
in our lives together.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
After all these years, after all these years, Well, we're
just going to have to fix that.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
I'm going to play a sweet song and you're gonna say,
come here, hold me close, and just dance around the
kitchen floor.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
How's that. I will do that.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Okay, I'll find a sweet song, Angie. Thank you for calling.
Thank you for listening all these years.

Speaker 7 (07:44):
You're welcome. I listen every night. I'm a delivery driver
and I call every night to try to talk to you.
And tonight must just been meant to be, because I
called you on my way home and I got through it.
I was like, so excited.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Let's hope I am here. You said you've been listening
since you were sixteen. You're now in your forties. Let's
hope I make it till you're in your sixties.

Speaker 7 (08:05):
Yes, that would be awesome.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Okay, you have a great night. Thank you for calling
on YouTube. Bye bye. I so hope you have enjoyed
these radio moments as much as I enjoy bringing them
to you.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
I'll share more with you each weekday on eight, It's Delilah.
