Speaker 1 (00:00):
Oh, this was the post Wrestle Dream edition of AEW Dynamite. Hey,
you know, Mortal Kombat two was supposed to be out
around this time originally, Remember then they bumped it back
to May of next year. Pissed me off. So then
I saw apparently they bumped it back up by one week.
(00:21):
So now it'll be I think Mother's Day in twenty
twenty six. There's a little update for those of you
who were looking forward to seeing the movie. That's one
less week that you'll have to wait, even though we
still have another what eight months or so before we
get there, but there will be no Mortal Kombat. We
had Dynamite tonight, which was bookended by the two best
(00:41):
matches on the show. They opened with a trios championship match,
and they closed with a unified title match with Okada
defending his title against Bandido, which was a hell of
a match, and we had the Callus family coming out
when it was over to celebrate with the champion and
till Kenoski Takeshta got his own entrance and he came
(01:03):
out and he looked very nonplussed about the whole thing,
and still remembers the Rainmaker from Wrestle Dream on Saturday
and Okada in the ring still with that big shit
eating grin on his face. I like that they ended
with that because that is a genuine match that I
am looking forward to seeing. But it looks like we
(01:23):
might get that first match. And I said this the
other day when I did my Wrestle Dream review, that
it feels like we may be getting the first match
because it's got to be more than one. The first
match in New Jersey at full Gear. I could see
them doing the first match. They are having Okada win.
The only thing about that is how does New Japan
feel about beating the IWGP champion. But the way I
(01:46):
look at it is, if you're going to have anybody
pin Ta Keshta, if it was going to be Okada,
who may be the greatest champion they've ever had there,
I think you can excuse that, you know what I mean.
It's not like he's being beaten by Daniel Garcia, right.
It's a big difference there. But I think that's where
we get the first match. And there's a lot of
(02:07):
different possibilities though, because you have the Continental Classic which
is coming up at the end of the year, and
then Immediately after that, you have the Tokyo Dome on
January fourth, and Takeshtra will be defending his title on
that show against who we don't know, could be Okata.
I don't know if you really want to do that
match there, but there's a few different options that they
(02:28):
have as far as that goes. I'm ready to see
the match. I don't care where it happens, wherever it
may be. I am ready to see the match. What
I am not ready for is more Darby and the
Death Riders. This is what I was hoping we would
not get more of coming out of Wrestle Dream, which
put a nice little bow on the whole Darby and
(02:48):
Moxley thing, right that whole thing. I mean, it goes
back a year and they had to wait because Darby
went away for a while and he got a very
decisive win I would say over John Moxley wrestl Dream,
and we're just right back into it now. But it
wasn't just Darby and the Death Riders. I mean, this
was a recurring theme here on this show where Wrestle
Dream didn't it didn't end anything. It really felt like
(03:11):
a dream, maybe like it never even happened, and we're
just picking up with so many different things. It's not
just Darby and the Death Riders, Hangman and Samoa Joe.
We knew coming out of that pay per view that
we were getting a rematch between those two, and I'm
okay with that because they're just buying time until MJF
comes back. What are you gonna do. You're gonna build
(03:32):
up a random challengeer, you know for full Gear. MJF
is gonna be back, possibly even at the end of
that show, and you're just gonna move into something new
anyway you want to get one more match out of
Samoa Joe. Cool. I understand that, But you got Hangman
in Joe, you got Darby and the Death Rids, you
got the Hurt Syndicate and the demand Nobody demanded more
(03:54):
of this. They're continuing this, They're continuing the feud with
those two facts, Mark Brisko and Kyle Fletcher. That also
is going to continue, And I mean, it's just I
wasn't expecting there to be that much of a continuation
of so many of these different stories. Even Saturday on
Collision for crying out Loud, we're getting another match between
(04:16):
the Young Bucks and Jurassic Express it unbelievable. But with
Darby and the Death Riders, it seems to me we
are heading into not just full gear on the twenty second,
but before that. Ten days before that, they're doing blood
and guts in Greensboro, and I'm sure there's going to
be a men's blood and guts, and we know there's
(04:37):
going to be a women's blood and guts that's already
been confirmed. But I'm sure that we're going to get amends.
And the only question is is it the Callous Family
that's in there? Is it the death Riders that are
in there? Take your pick with the Callous Family. I mean,
you could pick any number of people from that fucking
family and put them in in a wargame style match.
But it feels to me now like the direction is
(05:00):
likely going to involve the Death Riders on one side,
Darby and his friends on the other. And that's fine
if they use that as an opportunity to put the
nail in the coffin of the Death Riders, who really
don't have much more of a reason at this point
to exist. And I'll get into why I feel that way.
It's not like I expected them to just disintegrate here
(05:22):
on this show, although that would have been nice. John
Moxley comes out to try to explain himself. You know,
he just tapped out, He submitted, he quit. He quit
on Saturday against Darby Allen after having already lost his
championship to Hangman Page talks a big talk, goes in
there when it counts and gets beat. Frankly, that's how
the show should have opened tonight. The show should have
(05:43):
opened with the Death Riders in the ring and John
Moxley cutting a promo and then he just gets attacked
by everybody, fucking Claudio and Pack and Garcia and Juda
and Marina Shaffir. They didn't do that. So if they're
building to it, that's fine as long as we see
the beginning of the end of this faction, because at
this point, again I don't see the purpose that they serve,
(06:05):
and they've been around now long enough they're not terribly interesting.
To continue the Darby and Moxley stuff really, to me,
only makes sense if the end goal is to get
to blood and guts and then shoot a big angle
there on that show. That's where I assume this is headed.
We also had another Mercedes Monette celebration because she won
two more belts this weekend in the span of a
(06:27):
little over twenty four hour maybe about twenty four hours actually,
she won the interim Ring of Honor and Television title
on Saturday, and then on Sunday she claimed another championship
in Winnipeg Pro Wrestling. So she's now Mercedes twelve belts.
So we had to have a big party here on
this show, big celebration, and we had her come out
(06:49):
and we had a cake in the ring and it
was high comedy that ensued. We also, though, had a cameo,
a return appearance for Athena. We have not seen Athena
in a few months, and she was back here on
this show. She's going to be doing something with Mercedes.
We'll get into exactly what that is. Women's Tag team
(07:13):
title tournament brackets have been released. I am going to
show them to you. We are going to go over
what the matches are in the tournament and who I
think is walking away with the women's tag team titles.
So we'll get into all that. I thought the middle
of this show is pretty dull. The middle of the
show is really where the show came down. It opened fine,
(07:35):
and it ended in a great wag and I love
that main event, the postmatch, the stare down with Okata
and Takeshka. I thought that was fine. They did move
a lot of stories forward. I mean a lot of
the same stories, but they did move a lot of
things forward, because this was a show that felt like, Okay,
we're now building stuff for Full Gear, but we also
have Blood and Guts, right, we have that actually coming
(07:55):
up before Full Gear, And you could see in a
lot of the segments tonight where they we're building the
things that are coming up on those two big shows.
So that was fine. I just there's stuff that was
in the middle of the show tonight that I didn't
find terribly interesting. I didn't think it was a bad show.
I mean, I've seen post pay per view episodes of
Dynamite that were not good, that were not good in
(08:17):
part because so many times they go balls to the
wall on these pay per views and guys get hurt
and Tony gives them the night off, which is great,
but then they're not on the follow up show and
it ends up feeling very random sometimes and it's missing
some top names. And this has been a recurring pattern
and a recurring theme with a lot of their post
pay per view episodes of Dynamite. Tonight, you pretty much
(08:39):
got everybody who was on the show on Saturday, or
damn near everybody. Not everybody. They're already missing some big names.
We know who those names are. Will Osprey, Swerve Strickland, MJF. MJF.
I expect to be back in about a month. Will Ospray,
he ain't be coming back for a while. And the
latest update that I just saw on Swarve Strickland is
that he's going to be having rehab or he's in
(08:59):
rehab for his injury, and it may be a few
months yet before we see him back. Kenny Omega also
not on the show tonight, so think about it, MJF.
Kenny Omega, Hangman Page or not Hangman Page. He's not hurt,
but he wasn't on the show either. Will Ospray, Swerve, Strickland.
They were without some very big names going into Wrestle Dream,
and they're going to be without those same names in
(09:21):
a lot of cases going into full gear, so they
have to make the most of the roster they have.
I didn't even mention Jay White. I didn't even mention
Christian Cage, I didn't mention Adam Copeland. There's a lot
of missing faces right now, so it's an opportunity for
other people to get the spotlight who might not ordinarily
get the spotlight and try to make the most of
a bad situation because they have been besieged by injuries.
(09:44):
They have been plagued by injuries, and it's noticeable, and
hopefully they'll get some of those people back soon. But
this I actually thought ended up being one of the
one of the better post pay per view episodes of
Dynamite compared to other episodes that I have seen this year.
We'll talk about it. This is your aw Dynamite review.
(10:05):
It is Wednesday, October twenty second, twenty twenty five. I
am the Solemn Monster. Thank you for hanging out with
me here on a Wednesday night. I'm also going to
explain to you why Mercedes must fail at full gear
when she wrestles Chris Statlander. This is imperative. I'm going
to talk about that as well. Like and subscribe. Super
(10:26):
chats are open. You will see them popping up on
your screen. We have a couple of new ones in there,
so go check those out. If you would like to
do so. And also, if you missed, I did have
my Wrestle Dream review as part of the podcast on Sunday,
so over thirty minutes talking Wrestle Dream. If you missed it,
(10:47):
it's up now on the YouTube channel, going through the good,
the bad, the ugly, everything in between. So I'm sure
most of you have seen it or listen to it
by now, but if not, definitely go ahead and check
that out. We were told right at the beginning that
the Unified Championship match with Okata and Bendido was going
to be closing the show tonight, so we knew that
right off the top. We got a video package highlighting
(11:10):
the various events from wressel Dream this past weekend, and
then we got a post pay per view promo that
was shot in the back in Saint Louis on Saturday
with the aw World Champion Hangman Adam Page, who was
not on the show tonight outside of this segment, and
it was never explained why he was not on the show,
(11:31):
but he wasn't there, but he was there after the
match on Saturday, and he was very pissed off and
he was screaming. He was being checked on by the doctors,
and he was screaming and asking Joe if he's lost
his damn mind because he gave him a title shot.
This is what he did. He assaulted him after the match.
That's when the Ops turned on him. He said, when
(11:54):
he finds Joe, he is going to ruin his damn life.
And that was it. We didn't hear from Hangman. Didn't
see Hangman for the remainder of the show, but they
opened with the Ops Samoa, Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Katiori
Shabata defending the aw Trios titles against the Hurt Syndicate
Bobby Lashley, Shelton, Benjamin MVP. And because I should point
(12:18):
this out, because d C Comics is the title sponsor
for Full Gear this year. That's the Warner Brothers Discovery
tie in there. So DC Comics is the title sponsor
for Full Gear and because of that, the ring skirt
and the barricades had all DC Comic characters, superheroes, villains,
(12:45):
they were all on there. And wouldn't you know, I'm
watching this opening match here and oh my god, would
you look at who it is? Joseph. I know Joseph
is with us. I know Joseph still is with us
because there was a wall of super chats before I
even went live that we got to go through later
(13:05):
and shout out to Joseph. But take a look at
who is on the apron. It's Batman. You are the
first person I thought of. I said, holy shit, I
know if he's watching this show, I know that's the
first place his eyes went. Batman is on the ring tonight.
(13:27):
So what, Joseph, I hope you enjoyed that, because you're
the first person I thought of when I saw that.
Lastly and Hobbs they tagged in early and the crowd
started immediately chanting meat. Joe tagged himself in, though, and
he covered up Hobbs with a towel to kill off
the chance. Lashly fired off some strikes on Joe. He
planted him with a flatliner. Joe tried his walk off
(13:51):
that he does, tried to do it to Shelton Benjamin. Benjamin,
though had it scouted, landed on his feet, and Joe
just went and tagged out to Hobbs to get the
hell out of there. After a break, Benjamin was isolated
until he managed a leaping desperation DDT on Joe for
the double down. Lashly made the tag. He was rag
dolling Shebata all over the ring and Hobbs made the
(14:14):
save and we finally got the big man's slugfest between
Lashly and Hobbs until Lashly floated over a power slam.
He tried for the hurt lock. Hobbs broke free, so
both men they got ahead of steam and they collided
like two freight trains and that allowed Shabbata to fly
in with a PK to lash Ly for a near fall.
(14:35):
MVP made his first tag into the match and Joe
goes right for the eyes. MVP, though, comes back with
a jawbreaker. He does his ball and elbow that he
does he's been balling for all these years. Joe sank
in a Kokina clutch very briefly on MVP hit a
jawbreaker to escape, and MVP was looking for his finish
(14:56):
here and he was suddenly distracted by Ricochet. Fucking Ricochet.
They are continuing this feud. Ricochet shows up, He gets
up on the apron and that little brief hesitation allows
Joe to sink in the cocina clutch and he gets
the submission and Ricochet joins the gates of agony on
(15:17):
the stage and the Hurt Syndicate eventually chase them to
the back. So again they are continuing with this feud
with the Demand as they are now called and the
Hurt Syndicate, even though we've already gotten three trios matches
at a tag team match, so technically we have four
matches already, and the Hurt Syndicate won out in terms
(15:40):
of the trios matches anyway, two to one, and that
seemed to be it. You know, we had all out.
We had a street fight on the Dynamite Addiversary show,
and then we had a Tornado match on Saturday, and
then we learned that the Hurt Syndicate were challenging for
the trios titles on the show. I don't really see
the reason that this needs to continue. I really don't,
(16:01):
And I said coming out of Wrestle Dream, I said,
I don't know where Ricochet goes from here. Ricochet is
actually colder and in a worse position now than he
was coming out of that feud with Swerb Strickland earlier
in the year. Little did I know that where he
was going was right back to the Hurt Syndicate, which
just seems very fucking lazy to me. Now. After the match,
(16:22):
Tony Schavanni got in the ring and he asked Samoa
Joe to explain his actions. I wrestdream this was going
to be the big explanation for why the Ops did
what they did. Joe said that it was a pleasure
to be in San Antonio tonight, and it's good that
he had powerhouse hobs around to keep all of the
fat women in San Antonio occupied. He did not like this.
(16:47):
The fans did not like this. I liked it. I
thought it was fucking hilarious. Joe said, the answer to
her question is because he exists, and he would chase
anyone who calls themselves a champion. So long as Joe
is on planet Earth and you call yourself a champion,
Joe is coming to be hunting you down. He said
(17:10):
that he is waiting to show you that you are
not the man. And much like the fans say, hangman Page,
you might think this is cowboys shit, But every one
of these fans who chant that Joe will make you
his bitch, like everyone's sports team, has made Texas teams theirs.
Unlike them, the Ops are never lacking. So first, of all,
(17:32):
if anybody was wondering coming out a Wrestle Dream, is
this really a heel turn or did they just turn
on Hangman? But there's still gonna be you know, like
tweeters here on the show. No, No, they're heels now.
Joe made that very clear here at the beginning of
this promo. They are now heels. Shit talking heel Samoa Joe, though,
(17:54):
is great, So I have no issue with them going heel.
I have no issue with Joe even if it's only
for a month. For all we know, he loses the
Hangman again and they go right back to being fucking
baby faces Like I don't I wouldn't think so, but
who knows. Maybe they're just heel for the for the
purposes of doing the rematch. But I mean, he'll shit
talking Samoa Joe to me is always going to be
(18:18):
something that I can appreciate. And as far as setting
up for a rematch, we knew this coming out of
wrestled Dream. The only question is, like, what is the
stipulation going to be? I don't see them doing just
another straight singles match, and you can't do a Texas
death match. We've seen so many of them already, so
I'm sure that it'll have some sort of stipulation. Blood
(18:39):
perhaps will be spilled. Although we have blood and guts
coming up, I don't really think we need too much
more blood at full gear. But again, it's fine. It's
fine because they're just if MJF is coming back at
the end of Full Gear or immediately after Full Gear,
and they're going to have him announce that he is
cashing in his contract. And as I believe, the match
(18:59):
is going to be at World's End and MJF is
probably gonna win the World Championship, he's gonna be back
very soon. It makes no sense to start a brand
new feud for Hangman Page, so just carry it over
one more month. We got a heal Joe going into
the pay per view, and that's it. He's gonna lose again.
We know he's gonna lose again. Can you imagine they
(19:21):
run back the same exact World's End main event from
two years ago, only this time it's Joe going in
as the champion and MJF challenging for the title. That
was the main event in twenty three. But we're not
gonna get that. It's gonna be it. Hangman and MJF.
It's already preordained. We already know it. I don't know
why Hangman was not on the show, though I thought
(19:43):
he was coming out here in this match, not Ricochet.
Ricochet was the last person I was thinking of. I
was waiting to see if Hangman was gonna run in
for the disqualification, but he never showed up. I actually
thought we were gonna get a title change here until
I saw that they were opening the show with this.
And when I saw they were opening the show with it,
I say, eh, probably not happening. So earlier today they
(20:07):
showed Mercedes Monette. She was arriving in her luxury vehicle
Michael Sistemo Joe with a Charles Barkley reference with the
fat girls in San Antoniola. You know what, I didn't
even pick up on that. You're right, you are correct.
(20:31):
Is Adam Cole still hurt? Yes, yes he is. Adam
Cole may not be coming back, Adam Cole, and if
he does come back, do not expect to see him
anytime soon. Adam Cole is still very much out. But
Mercedes was arriving in her luxury vehicle flanked on both
(20:54):
sides by men holding all of her titles because there
are far too many for her to hold herself. We
go backstage after this to Renee Piquette, who was with
the AW Women's World Champion Chris Statlander, who said that
if there were anyone she would want to strip with,
beat the hell out of and defend her title against,
(21:15):
She's glad it was with Tony Storm. Statlander said that
she's not the same woman that Mercedes beat at Full
Gear last year. She's now beaten Tony Storm twice. Has
Mercedes done that? Stat Lander is taking the title to
new heights that it's never been before, and she officially
accepts the challenge that Mercedes issued on Saturday to a
(21:35):
match at Full Gears. So they are gonna meet, and
we already knew they were gonna meet, but they're gonna
meet for the Women's World Championship. There was no mention
of this being title for title champ. You know it's
champion against champion, But why does the TBS title need
to be on the line in this? And she wishes
Monet a good celebration. Later on in the show, after this,
(21:56):
Darby Allen made his entrance and he was carrying the
AW flag that he brought with him to the top
of Mount Everest. It's the same flag that he used
to choke out John Mosley. So he lays the flag
down flat in the middle of the ring. He said
before he climbed Mount Everest, many said that he was irresponsible,
(22:17):
he could never be the face of the company. If
he got killed, it would be bad. Pr it would
be But he's willing to die for this place, he says. Yeah.
I kind of got that sense from the matches that
he's had over the years. I think he does have
a death wish. I think we all knew this already.
The marks on his body from Saturday tell a story.
(22:39):
He was never gonna say I quit, but he wears
the scars from that match. Knowing the Death Riders won't
go away as long as they're breathing, he said he
will not be far behind. And they hit his music
and that was it, and he left. There were no
ambush attacks, there was no interruptions, there was no big
(23:01):
challenge to a match. Short and sweet and to the point. Honestly,
this did not need to be in the ring. This
is exactly the kind of promo you could have had
him cut in the back. I don't even know why
he came out other than they wanted to give him
an entrance here on this show. He was coming out
later anyway. The people wanted to see him. They got
to see him again later in the show. So that
(23:22):
was it. Not a whole lot to you know, beyond
that to really say. But again, they're keeping up with
Darby and the Death Riders, which I think is terrible.
I mean, the death Riders, like I said before, they
serve no real purpose at this point. And here's the
biggest point I can make about this. Okay, these men
(23:43):
have been following John Moxley around now for a year.
They had a mission whatever that was that they couldn't
even get on the same page as far as what
that mission statement was. But they have followed him around
to the ends of the earth. They follow him from
the outside of the buildings the inside of the building
every single week because they believe in all the bullshit
(24:04):
that comes out of his mouth. He went in there
and he lost the World championship in July to Hangman Page,
and then he goes in there on Saturday and he
gives up, he submits, he quits to Darbiellen. There is
no reason that these people should still have faith in
(24:25):
this man and be following him blindly, following him around
every single week. And if there is no Angle going
into Blood and Guts that's going to pay off there
to either end the Death Riders or kind of the
beginning of the end of the Death Riders, then that
tells me that Tony has no plan. He has no
(24:46):
exit strategy as far as the Death Riders go. I
would like to think he does, because John Moxley is
one of his biggest stars and obviously has a lot
of say in what he does, and I would like
to think that he has had some sort of exit
strategy mapped out for how this is gonna end, because
it can't go on forever. The Death Riders are not
the Bloodline, Okay, the Death Riders do not need to
(25:07):
be here two three years from now. So they have
that show in Greensboro next month. It is looking increasingly
likely that the Death Riders will be a part of it,
and I hope that's where they shoot the big angle,
because if it were me, he's going to go into
that Blood and Guts match. If they are in Blood
and Guts, and he's got to go in there, and
he's got to be the one to quit again, and
(25:29):
that should be just one loss too many for the
other members of that group, Claudio and Pac and the
whole lot of them. And that's when they drop this
man where he stands and they turn on him. And
you could do a John Moxley redemption arc, you could
do whatever you want to me. He'll end up being
a babyface again anyway. But I'm just I'm looking ahead,
(25:52):
and I'm like, Okay, where do we go from here? Right?
Where we go from here is the end? That's it.
I need to know that the end is insight here
to the Death Rider's stuff, and I hope it is.
This week's episode is sponsored by Express VPN. If you've
ever been to a coffee shop, you sometimes see people
(26:13):
sitting in there on their laptop working while they sip
away on their latte. Now, imagine that person gets up
to go use the restroom and leaves all of their
belongings unattended, including their computer. Sure, most of the time
they're probably fine, but if they come out of that
bathroom and that laptop grew legs and walked off, they
really have no one to blame but themselves. That's what
(26:33):
it's like being on the internet with that Express VPN.
You may be fine most of the time, but do
you really want to put your personal data and your
privacy at risk when you don't have to? I know,
I don't. It doesn't have to be a coffee shop.
It could be at the airport, at a hotel, a restaurant.
If you connect to a network that's not encrypted, your
data is not secure. Any hacker on that same network
(26:54):
can gain access to and steal your passwords, your bank logins,
your credit card information, you name it, all the things
that you don't want falling into the wrong hands. And
guess what this is the part that should scare the
wits out of you. I mean it is Halloween season,
after all. Hackers can make up to one thousand dollars
per person selling your personal information on the dark web.
(27:14):
ExpressVPN stops hackers from stealing your data by creating a secure,
encrypted tunnel between your device and the internet. ExpressVPN is
the best VPN because it's super secure. It would take
a hacker with the supercomputer over a billion years to
get past EXPRESSVPNS encryption. It's also easy to use tap
one button in the app and you're protected. It also

works across all of your devices. We all have at
least a couple of devices, right, and probably a lot
more than that. So I'm talking to your phone, your tablet,
your laptop, even your smart TV. There's a reason ExpressVPN
is ranked number one by top tech reviewers like c

the road traveling to different shows. I was in Philadelphia
(27:55):
last month, and I'll be back in Chicago next month,
I usually have my laptop my tablet with me, and
I make sure I've got the ExpressVPN app installed on
both of them because it gives me the peace of
mind that I need to know that I've got the
same level of protection away from home that I have
here in my personal office. I won't settle for any less.

find out how you can get up to four extra
months Express vpn dot com slash solo monster. We got
highlights from the Jurassic Express Young Bucks match from Saturday,
(28:41):
and then a promo from Jack Perry where he said
that they beat the greatest tag team of their generation.
That'll get some people riled up, and next they're going
to reclaim the world tag team titles. We had a
four way tag team match with the winners getting to
choose who they face in the open round of the
Women's Tag Team Championship Tournament. I will have those brackets
(29:05):
for you later First, though, we had Meghan Baine and
Penelope Ford. We had Jamie Hayter, row Row, Roman Rains
Gently down the Street, Row Row, Roman Reigns, Gently down
the Street. Bobby's World. Yes, Roman Reigns was not in
this match. Roman Rains barely appears on Raw. You think
(29:28):
he's gonna show up on Dynamite? Oh Man, keep dreaming.
Thank you, Bobby Brock would say, Bobby, right, Bobby. So
the teams were Meghan Baine and Penelope Ford, Jamie Hayter
and Queen am Nada, Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron and
(29:53):
Julia Hart and Skyblue. Willow and sky Blue. They started
the match and Willow hit a big Blue who made
a tag to Harley and they hit some double team
offense and Harley tried for a cover. She attempted a
knee strike, sky Blue was able to avoid it. Penelope
Ford and got a blind tag and she took sky
(30:14):
Blue out of the match, so she made a tag
to Meghan Bain did Penelope Ford and Willow tried to
make a save. At one point, she got tossed out
to the floor and Hater made a tag to Harley.
Cameron entered to start mixing it up with Meghan Bain.
They traded some strikes, neither woman could get the other
one off the ground. Queen Amie not A tagged in.
(30:37):
Nice to see that that knee injury she thought she
may have suffered turned out to be nothing serious. If
you saw. She mentioned in her blog that she was
rolling around in the ring I think a week or
two ago, and then her knee something happened and it
was starting to swell up that night. But she's fine,
which is good because I'm sure she's going to be
in that Blood and Guts match. But she tagged in.
They set up for a double souplex and Hater Bain,
(31:01):
though reversed it and ended up suplexing both women by
herself and Baine and Ford then dove to the floor
and took out the remaining women outside of the ring,
and holy shit, sky Blue, she ate all of that
moon salt by Penelope Ford. Penelope Ford landed basically with
her shin bone to the dome on sky Blue. I'm
(31:24):
shocked she didn't knock her unconscious. That looked brutal. So
later on, Willow gave sky Blue a spinebuster for a
near fall. Harley returned and she delivered a drop kick
to sky Megan Bain had enough of this shit and
she took Willow and Harley out and then she dragged
sky Blue to her corner. She tagged herself into the
(31:44):
match Baine and Ford. They took out Willow with a
double team cutter. Jamie Hayter managed to blind tag Willow,
who landed a pounce. She pounced Megan Baine halfway across
the ring. Megan Bain rolls out to the floor. Hater
and Amina then focused on Penelope Ford. They delivered a
double team headbutt and then the Hater aide and got
(32:06):
the win. So Jamie Hater and Queen Amen out of
therefore get to choose which team they face in the
opening round of the tag team title tournament, and Jamie
did not waste any time making her announcement. She said
they wanted Sky Blue and Julia Hart because her and
Queen Ami Nada have been beefing with Tecla and the
(32:27):
whole Triangle of Madness thing on Collision now for the
last few months, and again they're building to a blood
and guts match. Jamie is the one who issued the challenge,
and all of these women, like I said, they've been feuding,
so you know they're all going to be a part
of that match, so that all makes sense. The match itself,
I thought was solid. I thought Megan Baine and Penelope
for it actually looked the best, Like as a cohesive unit,
(32:49):
they look the best out of all the teams here
in this match. Now we go backstage and the Young
Bucks are outside of Tony Kahan's off and they are
banging on Tony Khan's door because they are begging for
another money match, right, which is just what we need
more of. But they're broke. They had a five hundred
(33:12):
thousand dollars match with The Dinosaur and Jack Perry on
Saturday and they fucking lost, so they have no money
and they are desperate. They're banging on this man's door.
They'll wrestle anybody, they said. And we have segments on
the show where Tony Khan is in his office and
somebody will go in, but we don't actually see him.
(33:34):
But this was one of those rare nights where the
Boss made an appearance here on the show. This is
always very entertaining to me. So Tony Khan emerges from
his office and he cannot help himself but look directly
into the camera, even though you're not supposed to be
(33:55):
acknowledging the camera is even there, right. The young Bucks
are the ones banging on the door, but he walks
out and he's like he's he's talking to them and
kind of looking at them and addressing them, but he's
also just looking straight ahead into the camera like he's
talking to us, and it's just it's it's just so awkward.
It's like, look, some people are meant to be on
(34:17):
TV and some people are not meant to be on TV,
and we'll just leave it at that. He told them though,
that he heard what they said, and he offered them
another match against Jurassic Express and Jet Speed and FTR,
who emerged from his office. They happen to be I
(34:38):
guess in the middle of a meeting in Tony Kah's office,
and he said, this match is going to take place
on Saturday on Collision. It'll be a four hundred thousand
dollars four way tag team match. What is with these
random money amounts, like five hundred thousand dollars right on
Saturday half a million dollars? I get that. Where does
(35:01):
he get like four hundred thousand dollars six hundred that?
Where is this coming from? There's got to be some
corporate reason, like he's writing shit off or something. It's
gotta be some reason for these wacky amounts. So we
got another money match now on Collision on Saturday, which
I believe they were. I don't know if they're filming
it tonight or tomorrow. It's in San Antonio, so maybe
(35:22):
they did it tonight. I don't know. But man, Tony,
I just I all you could do is laugh, That's
all you can do that. It's so awkward. These segments
are so awkward. After this was the twelve Belts Monet
celebration with Mercedes Monet, who retained her TBS title over
(35:44):
Mina Shirakawa. On Saturday, and in so doing, she won
the interim Ring of Honor Television Championship, because we really
need an interim Ring of Honor Television championship. So now
she has herself an interim title in the ring. And
there were balloons, and there was a cake on a table,
and there were drinks, and she's running down before Mercedes
(36:06):
even comes out, Renee is running down all of her accomplishments,
the longest reigning TBS champion of all time. She is
the brand new Winnipeg Pro Women's Champion after beating Jody
Threat on Sunday to win her twelfth concurrent championship. She's
(36:27):
got twelve titles all at once. She's ultimo Monet. Now
all this nonsense. So then Mercedes music hits and we
see in the ring that Puppet Monett has made her return,
Harley Cameron's puppet, her Mini Monet puppet has appeared in
the ring by the table with the cake on it.
(36:49):
She's doing the CEO dance and Mercedes herself she finally
comes out, and she yells at her belt boys who
are coming out with her, and they have all of
her belts and ordering them to the ba. She doesn't
look like she's in a very good mood. She gets
in the ring, she tells Renee get the hell out
of here, and then she starts talking to the puppet,
(37:09):
and then she calls the fans a dumb Marx and
says that the dumb marks here want to mock her
after everything that she's accomplished, everything she's done for women's wrestling,
and Minnie Monette is mimicking whatever Mercedes says. She's mimicking
on the puppet. Mic I got him know. It's it's
so ridiculous even talking about this. But the puppet is
(37:33):
mimicking whatever Mercedes says, and it's getting on mercedes nerves.
So Monette said, a few weeks ago, Harley Cameron, you know,
because she knows Harley is under there with her with
her hand up the puppets ass. She says, a few
weeks ago, Harley wanted to be my tag team partner,
you know, And now you're out here mocking me like this.
(37:55):
Tonight should be about her twelve belt celebration. She says,
she's tired of the disrespect. She takes the puppet's face
and she smashes it down into the cake and then
she brings up Harley Cameron, who just wrestled the match
a little bit earlier. She brings up Harley Cameron from
under the table. She's about to rub her face into
(38:15):
the cake, but instead Chris Statlander was I guess also
under the table, or she very covertly snuck into the ring.
And she as she stands up, she's got Mercedes now
on her shoulders, and she drops Mercedes down face first
into the cake. So she's got you know, cake shit
frosting orange shit all over her. Yes, I would imagine,
(38:39):
you know, when Taz goes to the bathroom, that's what
it is, orange shit. So she got ron shit all
over her face. Table didn't break though, so Statlander ends
up giving her a choke slammer uranagi or whatever it was,
and then she puts her through the table and that
is how they And they end the segment with Statlander
and Harley Cameron and puppet Monet and they're all doing
(38:59):
the CEO dance as ridiculous as what I just said
was okay talking about a puppet, and she's talking to
the puppet here. I looked at this segment, this was
harmless fun with the puppet shit and the cakes. I mean,
how many times we see cakes in wrestling, right, not
the first time we've seen this, And it was, you know,
(39:21):
an instance of coming off this big weekend that she
just had. Mercedes got one upped by the World Champion
because they're promoting a World Championship match now going into
full gear between Statlander and Mercedes. So for this week,
Statlander got one over on her. So that was the
point of the segments. I do think that these celebrations
are too much. It feels like we get a celebration
(39:45):
every other week. I mean, this woman would would throw
a celebration for having a solid bowel movement and then
come out on Dynamite the following Wednesday and have a celebration.
But I mentioned the title of this video and in
the thumbnail I said why Mercedes must fail at full
gear and I talked a little bit about this in
(40:08):
my Wrestl Dream review. We know the match now is official,
It is for the World Championship only at least at
this point. And I know a lot of people are
going to look at this and go, well, we all
knew this was coming. We all can see where it's going,
and you may be right, But I look at this
and I say, the only outcome here. The only outcome
(40:30):
is for Mercedes to go in there and lose to
Chris Statlander. Chris Statlander, a year ago of full Gear,
went in there and she lost to Mercedes. They had
a rematch at World's End, I believe, and Mercedes beat
her for a second time. And they had very good
matches together. Although I think in that last match they
had I think someone I think it was Mercedes, almost died.
(40:53):
It was like some kind of pile driver's spot on
the April. I forgot what they did, but I think
they almost killed each other. But they had two good
matches and Statlander lost both of them. So now she's
the world champion, and Chris Statlander is coming off two
wins over Tony Storm, one in a four way and
then straight up one on one. She just beat Tony Storm, right,
the biggest women star in the company. Sorry, Mercedes, Uh,
(41:16):
that's a pretty big deal for Chris Statlander. For her
to go in there and go oh for three against
Mercedes and have a short run doesn't make any sense
to me. But here's the reason why. It really doesn't
make any sense. And you saw why tonight she's coming
out to have a celebration about having twelve belts. This
woman has championships from companies all over the country, all
(41:37):
over the world. She won a title in Canada last weekend.
The week before that, she was in Denmark. She's been
all over the place, Poland right. She has all these championships.
At some point in the not too distant future, she
is going to have to drop each of those titles.
(41:57):
I don't see her just blanketly vacated all of the
title although honestly, each of these promotions, who knows, you know,
they may make the decision themselves. They're not going to though,
because they love the exposure. And you can understand why
their belts are paraded around on television every single week.
And it's easy to look at that and go, well,
it doesn't mean anything, but to them, and you saw
(42:18):
it even at the most recent shows that she was at,
and ask any of those promoters, and to them it
does mean something. Now, the key is to get her
back in to drop the belt, that's the only thing.
But for them it has had a positive impact on
their business. That's why they love doing it, you know.
And then they get to see their belts paraded around
by a bunch of random dudes on dynamite every week.
(42:38):
She has all of these championships. If she goes in
there at full gear and she wins the aw Women's
World Championship, Right, do you honestly believe that Tony Khan
is going to be cool with letting Mercedes as his
world champion, go from place to place, territory to territory,
(43:00):
promotion to promotion, and lose all of these different titles
one by one by one by one. Why would he
allow that? If I was Tony Kan, I wouldn't allow that.
I wouldn't want my world champion going around losing each
belt one by one. If he's got my world title,
it makes far more sense for her to drop them first,
(43:22):
and then next year you could put the world championship
on her. There's a story there of Mercedes spiraling out
of control and hitting rock bottom. But I think that
the aspect that I like of the story I envision
in my head, and who the hell knows what Tony
has in his head, is that this is the one
title that Mercedes cannot win. She tried to already in
(43:45):
Texas and she lost. She wrestled Tony's storm and she lost.
So now she's getting her second crack at it, right,
she's getting her second bite at the apple. She has
to fail. That's the story. The story is that for
all of her bravado and bluster her and she comes
out and she's in these luxury vehicles and she's having
parties and celebrations and I'm multi moomnet and I'm this
(44:08):
and I'm that, and she's got a big smile on
her face, and all of these belts draped in gold.
The one belt that really matters is the one belt
she cannot win, and it drives her absolutely fucking crazy.
And so when she loses, then the descent can begin
and she should go from place to place and drop
(44:29):
each and every one of these championships because she loses
all of her confidence. It drives her up the wall.
And after she's lost all of these belts and she's
hit rock bottom and she has nowhere else to go,
then you can build her back up and eventually she'll
win the world championship. But again, think about it. For
her to win the world title now doesn't make sense.
(44:55):
She must fail at full gear for this story to work.
And I think she will, and if she doesn't, you
can come on here the week after and laugh at me,
because I originally I didn't think that she was going
to be the CBS champion long enough to break the record,
and then here she is. She broke Jade Cargill's record.
But to me, that's the only way this story works.
(45:17):
So all hope is not lost. If they do this
the right way, Chris Statlander will win at full gear,
and that is the right call to make now. After
the pay per view, John Moxley, as Hangman did earlier,
he delivered a promo post show promo, only in this
case he delivered a promo from the bathroom. He was
(45:42):
over the sink, looking in the mirror, cutting the price.
He wasn't on the shitter, although that is where the
death Riders belong. But no, he was not cutting this
promo on the commode. He said that he failed to
deliver what he promised it Wrestle Dream tonight being Saturday.
It was Darby Allen's strength that was the deciding factor,
(46:03):
his commitment to self destruction, which someday will be Darby's downfall.
Tomorrow the sun rises again and they continue their commitment
to being the best, as their only competition is themselves.
No one in professional wrestling can hold a candle to
the standard that they've sent, the standard that they've set. Sorry,
(46:23):
I had to contain myself here. He said that sometimes
you make a promise and believe what would happen, but
it doesn't, said Darby made Moxley a liar. Now Moxley
knows who he is when he looks in the mirror.
It took him this long. Huh. Temen says, it's like
(46:45):
he shot this after he brushed his teeth. I don't know.
Maybe he did take a shit and then he went
to go wash his hands. He's like, fuck it, let's
film it, let's do it. I feel better now. Maybe
he ran from the ring. Yeah, he had to go.
Look when you got to you gotta go. But honestly,
that's where this that's where the Death Riders angle belongs
at this point here, that's where the death Riders need
(47:11):
to go. But this led into John Moxley against Kyle
O'Reilly O'Reilly, who entered to with the rest of the
conglomeration to their new sitcom style. If you didn't see
this on the pre show, they have a sitcom style
entrance video and music, and it's not even it's less.
(47:33):
It's very sitcom ish. But honestly, it's very clear what
they did and what Mikey Ruckus did here. I mean,
this is an ode to, or an homage to, Beverly
Hills nine o two one oh. So if you ever
saw that show, I wasn't like an avid watcher of it,
but I knew the theme song and the opening video
and the jingle that went with it. Right, it was
Beverly Hills nine oh two one oh, and then you
(47:55):
had melrose Place. If you were a little bit younger
than me, then for you it was probably what was
that show the OC on Fox? Right, that might have
been your thing. But back then Beverly Hill's nine h
two to one Oho and melrose Place they were a
big deal. Not to me, they weren't, but to you know,
a lot of other people. So this is a this
(48:15):
is an homage to that. Honestly, though, it feels like
this show is a sitcom on most weeks. So Moxley
entered from outside the building with Marina Shaffir, as he
usually does. He seems to be getting farther and farther
away from the building each week. I'm fully expecting one
of these weeks, the camera's gonna cut outside and he's
(48:37):
gonna be walking from a Chick fil A parking lot
four blocks away. It's gonna take him fifteen minutes to
get to the building, so they walk in. Danielson on commentary,
who was not on commentary or Wrestle Dream, but Brian
Danielson was on commentary tonight. He said Moxley just got
cleared right before showtime, which is why this match was
so late in being announced. And he said that even
(48:59):
with his own history with Moxley, yeah, who tried to
kill him last year, he said he's impressed that Moxley
admitted and accepted defeat at Wrestle Dream. So basically the
story here in this match was that Moxley he would
panic every time Bill O'Reilly would try to put some
sort of submission hold on him or he you know,
(49:21):
he would catch him in something and try to sink
it in and he would panic and he would struggle,
because that's how he lost at Wrestle Dream. You know,
he was trapped in the scorpion deathlock and he gave up.
So he didn't want the same thing to happen here,
Moxley escaped an ankle lock. O'Reilly countered into a cross
arm breaker where Moxley was teasing a tap out. So
(49:44):
getting back to his feet, Moxley spiked O'Reilly with a
stalling pile driver for a two count. He quickly switched
to a bulldog choke. Kyle, though, got a rope brake,
and a very frustrated Moxley now begins pie facing O'Reilly,
who sidestepped a curb stuff he shot blocked the leg
into a rolling elbow. Bill O'Reilly. Oh did I say,
(50:10):
Bill O'Reilly that's his father. I don't know, maybe that's
his father, Kyle O'Reilly. That's who we had in this match.
(50:31):
It was simple suffocation against Danielson. Yeah. Look, I guess
when somebody tries to suffocate you to death, it's easy
to forgive h Fuck it, we'll do it live anyway.
So O'Reilly got an ankle lock again. This time though
Moxley used referee Paul Turner to pull himself up and
(50:54):
he just blasted this poor bastard right in the face
with an elbow. Fucking Paul Turner is taking shots here,
so the referee gets knocked out, and of course that
causes the disqualification. Referees pour out. The rest of the
conglomeration comes out. The death rids hit the ring and
(51:14):
Moxley and Shafir they managed to escape because they're all
ganging up on Moxley, but eventually he rolls out of
the ring and gets out of there. It's a whole
chaotic scene and they go to commercial and before I
go on, I have to mention this Brian Danielson. I'd
like Brian Danielson on commentary. I've enjoyed his work so far.
(51:39):
Or live Patvoy You like that, huh. I'm thinking of
that video from years ago man from Inside Edition. He'll
never live that video down. Add him to be the
book Why would I add him to be the booker?
I don't want to see his face. Brian Danielson here
(51:59):
on commentary. He tried to convince us that this disqualification
win for Kyle O'Reilly was one of the biggest wins
of Kyle O'Reilly's career. John Moxley assaulting the referee to
(52:19):
intentionally get himself disqualified, and this is one of the
biggest wins in Kyle O'Reilly's career, and if he honestly
believes that, I don't think that that speaks very well
to the career that Kyle O'Reilly has had for himself.
If he honestly believes that the wrestling here was fine,
(52:43):
I see the story they're trying to sell with Moxley,
you know, hitting the referee to save himself from potentially
tapping out twice in less than a week. That was
the point of all this. Now after a break, we
weren't done yet, because after a break they joined into
Trio's match already in progress coming out of the commercial
(53:03):
with Claudio Wheeler, Yudah and Daniel Garcia against Orange Cassidy,
Mark Briscow and Roderick Strong. Late in the match, Brisco
hit the death Riders at ringside with a corkscrew sent
on off the top. Back inside, there was a Fisherman
buster to Yudah for a two count. A Jay Driller
got cut off by Garcia, who hooked in a guillotine. Roddy,
(53:27):
though flew in with a sick kick. Claudio slammed Roddy.
Cassidy flew off the top for a DDT, but he
got caught by a Claudio uppercut. And anyway, this all
ended with Mark Briscoe dropping Dah on his head with
a J driller for the win. It's the only reason
Wheeler Dah and or Daniel Garcia would be in a
match like this is to get hit with someone's finish
(53:50):
and eat the pin. So after the match, Pack comes
out and Pack attacks brisco But here comes tomohiro Is
She and is She comes out and he made the
save and they're slugging it out him and Pack. John
Moxley was back at ringside trying to distract and as
he's distracting, Marina Shaffir comes up from behind Tomohiro Ish
(54:12):
and she delivers a low blow and down goes he
She Kyle O'Reilly, run, Kyle o'reiley. He runs out to
try to make the save. He got attacked as well.
Cassidy wanted an orange punch on Claudio. He got blocked though,
and the Death Riders cleaned off the announced table outside
and at that point Claudio Gorilla pressed Orange Cassidy and
(54:34):
they were gonna do the same spot that he did
with Darby where he launched Darby and he bounced off
the announced table and I knew they weren't doing this
with our because nobody in this company is stupid enough
outside of Darby Allen to take this fucking bump and
Orange Cassidy as it is is he hasn't been back
that long from a torn peck. You're not launching this
man through the air. So I'm waiting to see who's
(54:56):
coming out. Sure enough, Darby Allen comes out. Darby comes
out with a baseball, he hits Claudio and the knee
with it, and the conglomeration ends up standing tall. Darby's
on the ropes looking out at the death Riders as
they flee. So it really does feel like we are
looking at the death Riders and the conglomeration for blood
(55:16):
and guts. The conglomeration probably led by Darby Allen, so
it could be Darby Cassidy, Kyle, Roddy Brisco. I mean,
that would be your four unless you want to put
she in there. But you got your guys right there
and then the death Riders on the other side, and
then I think you got to shoot that angle. That's
(55:37):
the place to do it. Man, You've got to have
John Moxley needs to lose that match for the Death Riders,
and that needs to be one loss too many, and
that's where the Death Riders turn on him. And I
don't know if they would try to just anoint somebody
else as the new leader or just dissolve the whole
fucking group. But at what point does it just become embarrassing?
(56:00):
This guy is leading the charge, He's constantly going in
there and he's losing, and he's giving up. Right, That's
what he did against Hangman, that he was being choked
with a chain over the top rope and suffocating, but
still he gave up. And then he gave up again
against Darby. This is this is the theme now, that's
what needs to happen in Blood and Guts, and then
(56:21):
this story needs to be over because Darby and Moxley
this shouldn't even be feuding anymore after wrestl Dream that
should have been the end of it then. But if
the idea is to carry it out and shoot the
Angle of Blood and Guts in a month, then fine,
but that needs to be it Time to move on.

Monette still covered in cake thirty minutes later. By the way,
(59:19):
she was furious at what happened during her celebration. All
of a sudden, who should show up randomly just enters
into the shot. The Ring of Honor Forever Champion, the
Infinity Champion over one thousand days is the Ring of
Honor Women's World Champion Athena. Athena has not been seen
(59:39):
since right after Forbidden Door. Tony Conn at the time
says she was banged up, so she's back. I was
very happy to see her. I thought she was just
gone and we're not going to see her on Dynamite
again until next year. But she saunters on and they
were in Texas tonight and she had her with her,
(01:00:00):
and she said that Mercedes has never looked better with
Cake all over. She says that it's time for them
to put their differences aside and make history together. Right.
She said that, Mercedes, you just became the longest reigning
TBS champion of all time. She's the longest reigning Ring
of Honor champion of any kind in the history of
the promotion. Now they should be partners and become the
(01:00:21):
first ever AW Women's Tag Team Champions. And Mercedes realizes, ooh,
title number thirteen or fourteen, right if she beat Statlander
and she says she likes that idea and Athena drags
her off screen for some minion training, so we might
get some vignettes from these two. So I mentioned the tournament,
(01:00:46):
may as well show you the bracket right now, because
I got it all queued up here. These are the
teams that are going to be in the tournament to
crown the first ever AW Women's Tag Team Champions. On
the left side of the bracket you see Jamie Hayter
and Queen Ami Nada, who have already chosen the sisters
of Sin Julia Hart and Sky Blue. So that's gonna
(01:01:08):
be one match below. Then we have Willow Nightingale and
Harley Cameron and they are going to be taking on
the team of Mercedes, Monet and Athena. And on the
opposite side of the bracket, we have Alex Windsor and
ReHO are going to be a team. They're going to
be taking on Timeless, Tony Storm and Mina sheer Kawa,
(01:01:31):
and then Penelope Ford and Meghan Bain take on ty
Mellow and Ana Ja. So those are your teams, and
I'm just looking at these first round matchups here. Jamie
Hayter and Queen am Nada they go to the semi finals,
and of course I mean Mercedes and Athena they go
to the semi finals, and we end up with Mercedes
(01:01:53):
and Athena against Hater and Ami Nada, which actually sounds
like a hell of a match. And then on the
other side of the break, we've got Tony and Mina
moving on. I mean that should be a given. And
then of those two teams, it's got to be Megan
Baden Penelope for it. I said they looked the best
out of all the teams that were in that four
way match tonight. So that's your semi finals. To me,
(01:02:17):
this just shapes up as Tony and Mina against Mercedes
and Athena in the finals. And the only thing is
they did not they said the matches start next week.
They did not say when the finals would be. Now
we know that if Mercedes is going to the finals,
if they're gonna do the final at full gear, and
they did not say that. But let's assume they're gonna
do the finals of this tournament at full gear. We
(01:02:39):
already know that Mercedes is challenging Chris Statlander for the
women's World Championship on that show, So either it's not
going to be full gear or will it. Will Mercedes
wrestle twice on that show? And would that give her
an out if she goes in there then and loses
(01:02:59):
to Statlander? I was tired or I was beat up
from the match earlier. I don't know if that's what
they're gonna do again. Maybe the finals aren't even going
to be on that show. I don't know. I mean,
the way things are shaping up, I suppose they could
probably do the finals of Blood and Guts in Greensboro.
They may not even have to wait until full gear.
(01:03:21):
I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that Mercedes in
Athena are winning those titles. My pick is Tony and Mina.
As I sit here right now, I think Tony and
Mina walk away with those tag team titles. But you know,
any new championship, any kind of championship that's out there,
you know Mercedes is gonna be sniffing it out. I'm
(01:03:44):
gonna stick with Tony and Mina though, to win the
whole thing that Kyle Fletcher came to the ring at
don Kallis with him and Fletcher told the crowd to
say his full name. At Wrestle Dream, he defended the
TNT title for the sixth time, and he put down
one of his greatest rivals in Mark Briscoe, proving definitively
(01:04:06):
that he is better, so there will be no rematch.
He could go out there and beat Briscoe one hundred
more times. Mark Briscoe walked out, surprise, surprise, and he
said that as Fletcher grows up, he'll learn that he
doesn't have to talk so damn much. Briscoe was about
to get out of here. He said, well, he heard
what Kyle said about him, and he'll be damned if
(01:04:28):
he's gonna let Fletcher talk all that bullshit and not
retort short and sweet. He said, it doesn't need to
be one hundred more times, Just give me one more shot.
Briscoe is not making any excuses. He says, he's been
icing his balls all weekend long. Okay, I know he
(01:04:49):
got he he did suffer a low blow in the
match with Kyle Fletcher, But you know, at first, it
just kind of sounds like he's just letting Kyle know
what his weekend plans were. You know, I just bet
my whole weekend. I see my balls now, Maybe I
need to try that. Maybe is that a thing? Do
some people enjoy that? I'll bet some people enjoy that.
(01:05:12):
So he wants one more shot, and Fletcher looked like
he was about to agree. Don Callous, though whispered something
in his ear. Callous told Briscoe that he's a great wrestler,
he's a great athlete, but he sounds desperate, which is
very off putting. With all ten of those kids at home,
and that's a shoot. By the way, it's either baby
number nine or baby number ten that he and his
(01:05:32):
wife just had. With all ten of those kids at home,
he says, it's not a family, it's a financial burden,
and Briscoe needs a family like the Don Callus family,
not a group of blood sucking leeches aka kids. Callous
will tell brisco not what he wants to hear, but
what he needs to hear. So the answer is no.
(01:05:55):
So they're running this back again. Maybe the end goal
here is to put the TNT title on Mark Briscoe. See,
I think that it would have been a mistake to
put the title on him a wrestle dream. You gotta
let Fletcher run with it a little while longer. But
if they're continuing this feud, I mean, what are they
going to do. Mark Briscoe is just going to go
in there and lose again. What's the point of that?
That tells me the end goal here is Mark Briscoe
(01:06:17):
is going to win the TNT Championship and get that
feel good moment, you know, possibly at full gear tonight.
Callus said no, So they're going to drag this out
until they say yes. Sounds like a title change to me. Otherwise,
I'm not sure why we need to be running this back.
(01:06:37):
Renee was backstage with Mina Shirakawa, who said that she
had not heard from Tony Storm since Wrestle Dream. They
do everything together and they are now calling themselves the
Timeless Love Bombs. Techlo walks In said that Mina hasn't
lost everything yet, she still has her mind, her dignity,
(01:06:58):
and her life. Said that they have fought in Japan
and she'll fight her here and she challenges her to
a match on Collision and Tekla accepts and says that
if you think Tony's sad, now she's gonna cry after
what she does to mean. And then we had our
main event. It was for the AW Unified Championship. It
(01:07:19):
was Kazushka Okada defending his title against the Ring of
Honor World chap Everyone's a champion in this company, man,
Everyone's a champion. Mercedes alone has twelve belts, and now
we have new tag team titles that are being debuted.
I think about this up and down the show realistically. Right,
we opened with the trios titles. Actually, no, I'll take
(01:07:39):
it back even further. They opened the show with a
promo from the AW World Heavyweight Champion from Saturday, and
then in the opening match, we had the trios titles
on the line. Right, we had Mercedes doing her celebration
with her twelve belts, and Chris Statlander was out there
with her AW Women's World Championship, which she will be
defending again. It's the woman who already has twelve belts
(01:08:03):
and who also just won the interim Ring of Honor
Television title on Saturday, so keep that in mind. We
had Athena Maker return tonight. She has the Ring of
Honor Women's Championship. We had the brackets revealed for the
brand new AW Women's Tag Team Championships. We had Kyle
Fletcher in the ring. He is the TNT champion. And
(01:08:26):
here in this main event, we had Okata defending his
unified title against Bandido, the Ring of Honor World Champion.
And then before the show ended, we had an appearance
by the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. You're gonna tell me
we don't have too many champions on these shows, Give
me a fucking break. Is there anybody who doesn't have
(01:08:46):
a belt other than Mark Briscoe who doesn't have a
belt on this show? That's unbelievable. I don't even think
I really accounted for all the belt. What belt did
I not meant? I'm sure I must have missed a
belt somewhere along the way. It's ridiculous, but this was
(01:09:07):
a match I was looking forward to a lot. I
was surprised when they announced it on Saturday they weren't
saving this for full gear, but that told me that
they have a bigger match in mind for Okada on
that show. Now Don Kallis joined on commentary for this,
Okada tried an early rain maker. Bandido, though was ready
for it. He pointed the finger gun, which caused Okada
(01:09:30):
to take a step back and regroup. Bandido was still
selling the injured arm by the way he supposedly. I'm
still not convinced it was legit. Maybe it was, but
when he wrestled at Hetchi Sero at Arena Mexico a
few months ago, a few weeks ago, his shoulder popped
(01:09:51):
out and popped back in, so he's got the tape
on it and everything. But ever since then he has
been selling this shoulder like it played a huge role
in that tag team match on Saturday, played a role
here in this match too, But he's been doing a
masterful job. I think of selling it but incorporating it
into the match, and people are popping for like the
one armed offense, and I thought the stuff he did
(01:10:13):
with Brody King were Brody at the end of that
tag match on Saturday, rooting him on, you can do it,
you can do it, and then he hits like a
one armed twenty one plax like that was. It was
such a great spot. But Okada here was focusing on
the bad shoulder. He missed the rain maker. He gave
Bandido a chance to hit a huge torneo off the
(01:10:35):
top and a running missile dive out to the flight.
He threw his whole shoulder into that dive. Bandido followed
that up with a somersault dive and a crowd again
so as they always are super into Bandido's offense. Back inside,
he went up top for a frog splash, only got two.
Okada was able to regain control with the tombstone shoulder
(01:10:55):
breaker and Bendido quickly rolled outside to the doctor. Okkada, though,
put a stop to that. Both men traded tombstone attempts
until Bandido tried a one armed X knee. Okada spun
out only to walk right into a spinning backfist. So
the X knee connects on the second attempt and Bandido
hits the twenty one plex, but he couldn't hold on
(01:11:17):
and by the time he finally got the cover, Okata
kicked out. So there was a rain maker that got
countered into a small package by Bandido for a close
two count. Both men quickly back up to their feet.
Bandido tried a corner charge and he ran right into
a huge double boot from Okada. He booted this man
(01:11:38):
into the middle of next week. Yes, I'm big G,
You're right. I forgot to mention. Not only is Bandido
the Ring of Honter champion, he is also one half
of the aw Tag team champions. See I knew I
forgot I forgot one. I knew I forgot one. I'm
(01:11:59):
telling you, Ben, when everybody has a belt, all belts
basically ceased to mean anything. So after he got booted
out of midair, here Bandido again ducked the rain maker.
He delivered one of his own, and the crowd went
nuts for that. Bendido hit the X knee once more
(01:12:20):
tried the twenty one plex. Okada, though was out too far,
so Bandido kind of flipped onto his feet right in
position for Okada to finally hit the rain maker. One
rain maker is all. It takes Cody Hangman one finisher
(01:12:43):
and that's it. Okada retains. We were almost ten minutes
at this point, past the top of the hour. We
had at least half I can't even say the whole family,
at least half of the Kallis family. They made their
way out to celebrate and congratulate Okada on his wind
until no Skate Takeshta's music hits and the IWGP champion.
(01:13:04):
He walks out all by himself, and he does not
look happy. He looks very nonplussed by this entire celebration.
His eyes are wide. I don't know if he's been
up all night or fucking on drugs or what's going
on here, but he is just staring a hole through Okada.
And Ocada's in the ring watching this, and again that
big fucking grin on his face like he's amused by
(01:13:25):
all of this. And so outside the ring, you've got
Kyle Fletcher and Don Kallis and they're trying to comt
to Kesha down in the ring. Meanwhile, you've got Josh Alexander,
You've got Lance Archer, You've got Trent Burretta, You've got
Rocky Romero, You've got Hetcha Sero, and you have got
El Clone in the ring with a smiling Okada to
(01:13:46):
end the show. I love how Elle Clone by the
way he comes out here. He's got the mask on,
but otherwise he's dressed like a civilian, like he's just
wearing normal, like normal clothes. He's out there in the mask.
I don't think this man has had a single match
since he debuted, not one. That hologram injury completely fucked
(01:14:07):
up his run, and now he is just a literally
a faceless background player here in the Kallus family who
comes out, He stands there, he celebrates, He doesn't wrestle. Evidently,
El Clone his run was over before it even began.
(01:14:29):
Match itself was excellent. I love the match. I think
Bandido's selling of the shoulder and again doing the one
arm comeback like Bendido was just fun to watch, whether
he's selling some phony injury or not. That's always been
the case with him, even before he broke his wrist,
and he missed all all that time, like he got
over very quickly after he made his debut, because he
(01:14:52):
is one of the more just dynamic, fun performers to
watch in the ring. He has a physical care rithma
to him. He's wearing a mask and he's not really
cut in English promos, so it's all physical charisma, you know.
When he's in the ring wrestling, That's how he got
himself over. And it doesn't matter who you put him
(01:15:13):
in the ring with, and you can put him in
the main event, you could put him in a tag
team match. It doesn't matter. So as long as he
can continue to stay healthy, and I hope he can
because I know he missed a very long period of
time with that wrist injury. He had surgery and then
it didn't set right, didn't heal properly, He missed more time.
He came back, his first appearance back, went to give
(01:15:34):
Chris Jericho at that Ring of Honor show a dropkick,
and he fucking can cussed himself like he had this
long run of bad luck. And again, I don't know
if the shoulder thing is legit or not, but he's
still going out there, and if it is legit, it
certainly hasn't slowed him down. So he is one of
the more fun people to watch on these shows. And
this team of him and Brody King just kind of
(01:15:56):
came out of nowhere, and they've really gelled and morphed
into this great tag team where when Buddy Matthews comes back,
you know he's kind of shit out of luck. He's
on his own because if they're going to continue this team,
there's no reason. I mean, look, Buddy and Brody, they
made a good team too, But you got a good
thing going here with these two. You got to keep
this thing going for a little while longer. So I
(01:16:19):
love the match, and Okada and Takeshta comes down to
when do they do the match? When do they do
the first match between them? It feels like full gear.
It feels like an Okada win. You put Okada in
the Continental Classic, of course, you put Takesha in the
Continental Classic, and you build to a Continental Classic final
(01:16:40):
between the two. And the only wild card here is
the fact that now Takesha is the IWGP champion and
he may have other obligations with New Japan. They have
their big annual show coming up with the Tokyo Dome
on January fourth, which is going to be one of
the biggest shows they've done in many years because it's
the retirement show for Hiroshi Tanahashi and it's the debut
(01:17:00):
of Aaron Wolf, you know, the Olympian. That's a very
big deal apparently over in Japan. He's a big celebrity there,
big athlete, Olympian, He's making his in ring wrestling debut.
He's wrestling Evil on that show. But those are the two,
like big hooks, the big attractions for that show. And
(01:17:21):
who does he wrestle? Who does Takesha defend the title
against on that show. I've been saying that it would
be best for New Japan if they put someone in
there with him, one of their young guys. They're trying
to elevate to that top level and elevate them, you know,
don't just talk about doing it, but actually do it
in a big way. Could we see Takesha and Okada
on that show? Look, there's definite appeal I think in
(01:17:44):
an Okada New Japan return. He's not gone back yet,
so this would be his first time back, and I'm
sure that'll sell some tickets. I don't know as far
as that being the Wrestle Kingdom main event, I don't
know that's such a great idea. But you've got any
number of different dates and events here that you could
put these two in the ring together in and do
(01:18:06):
multiple matches. They've been teasing it and building it for
so long. You know, I'm ready for it. We know
it's going to be great. But I think full gear
is where they do the first match, because we know
there's going to be more than one. The end of
the show was the best part of the show. They opened,
I thought, with what was a good trios match, and
(01:18:28):
I liked the Joe promo. The stuff in the middle
was hit or miss. There was some dull stuff. There
was mostly angles and matches and things they did that
are clearly building to blood and guts and building to
full Gear. So it didn't feel to me like the
things we saw tonight weren't building to anything. It was
just sort of random, like we had that match a
(01:18:50):
few weeks ago. I think maybe it was last week.
Was it last week? It might have been last week.
We were going into the pay per view and they
had that match with Claudio and I think Roddy, neither
of whom we're even on the fucking show. It felt
so out of place, like, Okay, sure those guys can
go out there and they can have a great wrestling
match in their sleep, but like, why was it necessary
(01:19:11):
to put that on that episode of Dynamite when you're
promoting a pay per view that neither one of these
guys are even on. We didn't have anything like that tonight.
Everything at least was building to something. It doesn't mean
it was it was great, but I honestly I thought
that this was one of the more focused post pay
per view episodes of Dynamite that they've done. Not the best,
(01:19:34):
but at least it had a focus that I don't know.
Sometimes these post pay per view shows are just severely lacking.
Here's the poll. What did you think of Dynamite after
Wrestle Dream thirty eight point four percent. Thumbs up for
tonight's show sixty one point six percent. I am the
Learning Tree. Thumbs down for the Learning Tree. Thanks guys.
(01:20:01):
I love how I was about to say thumbs down
and then the Learning Tree popped up on my screen,
the Learning Pumpkin Tree. It's great timing on that one.
Let's get into your super chests. We got a bunch
of them to go through here. We are currently sitting
at three hundred and forty one likes, which is not
quite good enough for be the booker. So by the
(01:20:22):
time we get to the end of this. We'll see
if we can pull it out there at the end,
but it's not looking good. Did the Undertaker and Mankind
ever team up together as a tag team? Yes, they did. Actually,
it's funny you asked that. A few months ago. They
actually uploaded that match on the Vault. They had a
(01:20:43):
raw match. It was back in the summer of ninety seven.
I think it was after SummerSlam and it was again
Shawn Michaels and Triple h. This was before DX became
a thing. It was like right before, so that might
be the only instance I could think of of it.
But yeah, they just uploaded that match a few months
ago to the the Vault channel. Joseph says, were you
(01:21:04):
a fan of Guns N' Roses? Yeah? Yeah, I like
Guns N' Roses. Welcome to the Jungle. Actually, Rocket Queen
is probably their best song. Rocket Queen is like, it's
like two songs in one. What is your favorite wrestling
(01:21:25):
documentary of all time? Wrestling with Shadows Dry Chicken says,
we can agree to disagree, but this guy here will
say it again. In twenty twenty six, aw will gain
more mainstream attention. I will, yes, I will disagree with
you on that. I don't know what would give you
(01:21:45):
that indication. They have done nothing to generate any mainstream attention,
and there is no indication that they will be able
to do anything to generate any mainstream attention. So I'm
gonna say you're wrong on that. Uh Oz glorious, buy
sell rent, ex Caliber. Never shutting the fuck up about diverticulitis,
(01:22:11):
never shutting the fuck up about Shabbata's brain injury, or
one dimensional Darby Allen, never shutting the fuck up about climbing,
about climbing Mount Everest, now look to be fair? To
be fair? If I climb Mount Everest, I probably wouldn't
shut up about it either. Not a lot of people
(01:22:32):
can say that they climbed Mount Everest. So I'll cut
him a little bit of slack. But you're asking me
to buy sell or rent. I don't want to hear
about any of this shit ever. Again. This is like
buy sell rent for all the things that I want
to just kind of tape up in a box and
(01:22:52):
dump in a fire. At this point, Solo is going
to have to hide those two belts behind me on
the wall from Mercedes. She can't have him she's gonna
have to come here if she wants him. Hey, she's
got an open invitation, but she's not leaving with him.
(01:23:15):
But I mean, if I had to buy, sell, and
rent on this stuff, I would, Uh. The thing I
will tolerate is Darby talking about Everest ex Caliber, ranting
and raving about all this other nonsense. I just I
can't stand it. I just can't stand it. It's more
the way he does certain calls. It's not even him
talking about this stuff. It's just more he's got such
(01:23:36):
a weird way of enunciating. Like he'll be calling a
move and he's calling it normally, but then he'll like,
I don't know, it's like he just lapses into this weird,
over the top delivery of some of these things in
like the second half of the word. And it's just
the most annoying fucking thing I've ever heard. I fucking
hate it. I just hate it. It's terrible. Oh we
(01:24:05):
got Brandon Proctor. No, actually we got Andrew. I'll get
to you. I'll get to you, Brandon. I'm skipping ahead here.
We got Anderson Blitz with us. If you told me
ten years ago, the fans would complain of Mercedes Monee
getting a push when fans hate Charlotte, I would be shocked.
The world works in weird ways. I think anybody going
(01:24:29):
around winning twelve belts at once is in this day
and age is gonna get shit on no matter who.
It is, probably worse if you're a woman, though. Bobert
reviews no Message, just showing love with a forty five
dollars Gulberg just in time for Halloween. OZ Glorious with
(01:24:52):
a five solid episode, but the lack of Polynesians and
or a second generation overhyped Bigott Steinder's on the show
means less than fifty percent thumbs up on Twitter hit like, yeah,
where are we on the legs? We were at three
forty before, we're at three seventy three, so we're not
quite at four hundred yet, getting close, Brandon Proctor asking
(01:25:15):
ye shall receive? Also, are you dressing up for the
Halloween stream? Probably not, although you know what, from my
boy Joseph, I might have to bust out I might
have to bust out the Batman half mask. I might
have to do that for Joseph. We'll see Ozen Glorious.
(01:25:41):
Why is Tony Kahan so obsessed? With Yudah and stock
lesnar Garcia. Yeah, he's trying to make something out of it.
It's just it's it's a failed experiment. It's just I
don't know. I don't know. Duff's is why did I
Racula take medicine? He's coffin all the time. Thank you, Duffs.
(01:26:09):
Good to hear from you, Duffs. We need to hear
more from Duffs. Bobby's world with the twenty one dollars
super ched. The manager's situation is strange. Got to wait
a bit for things to happen. Then someone will be chosen.
Might be a while, but until then, I very much
appreciate the support from yourself in this amazing community. Well,
(01:26:31):
you just got to be patient, man, and think positive
thoughts and good things will happen. Keep us posted, HBKC
eighty three. In your opinion, who's the one wrestler that
would be difficult to turn heel and have it go
over with the crowd booing? Are we talking currently? Are
(01:26:53):
we talking all time here? Because that's the reason why
Ricky Steamboat never never got turned. He wanted to go
heal and WWF and Pat Patterson was like the crowd's
never going to boo you. The crowd ain't ever gonna
boo you. I mean any real true like beloved babyface.
(01:27:17):
Not all of them were able to really truly get
the crowd fully against them. I think we saw that
with Steve Austin honestly in two thousand and one. You know,
he got people to boo him, but it was never
like they were never fully committed to it because they
really didn't want to boose Steve Austin. But in terms
of like people right now, like in WW if they
(01:27:38):
were to take a babyface and turn them and it
wouldn't work because they're so you know, beloved at this point,
probably AJ styles like you can't like now, you can't
turn AJ styles. It would be impossible. So that's like
one example. Probably Roman. I think Rome is still that
(01:28:01):
that whole character is still just a complete asshole. But
the fans love Chanting OTC and they love Roman reigns,
and I don't think you're going to be able to
get enough of them at this point to boo him. Yeah,
he's more of a special attraction now, duffs VID's what's
Forrest Gump's favorite pasta? Penney m bred Hart. When Mercedes
(01:28:32):
eventually loses all of her belts, she should go on
a balloon Okada style depression. She goes out to the
ring wrestling in a tracksuit, not caring, and with a
support balloon that was gifted by Okada himself. See now,
that is the kind of creative writing that we need
on the creative team. I like that idea, and Okada
(01:28:56):
is a big fan of hers. Remember early on he
was geeking out for Mercedes. He was getting all flustered
around her, and he should be the first one there
to provide some emotional support, you know, shoulder to cry on.
Alex says, brother solo. Oh there's Daniel Garcia. Brother Solo,
(01:29:17):
what are your thoughts on? Ernest Miller debunking the rumors
of Jericho returning to w W A. That is the
first time I've heard. Oh, Duffs, you know Duffs for
some reason. That's right, Jenny. I thought her name was God.
Why did I think her name was like Amy or something.
I was like, that's right, her name was Jennay. That's right. Hey.
(01:29:42):
You know what I'll give you. I'll give you a
delayed because I fucked up the name. I thought her
name was different. That's right, her name is Oh. I
forgot about Jenna. I love you, Jenna, Alex. That's the
first time I've heard Ernest Miller's name mentioned, probably since
(01:30:05):
w CW and Monday Night. True. I mean, I haven't
heard his day mentioned in fucking decades, and I have
not seen what he had to say, and I don't
know how close he is these days with Chris Jericho.
So I'm not getting my news from Ernest the Cat Miller.
All due respect to Ernest Miller. Actually, Ernest Miller was
there for Goldberg, wasn't he when he came out on
Saturday Night's main event for his retirement. I think he
(01:30:27):
was there, Groovy Goose. Speaking of Hoffman, were you a
fan of Rainman? Yes? I was. That was a great movie,
won't lie. You kind of remind me of Tom Cruise
in that, especially with the twenty twenty hair. Thanks for
the stream, hey, I'll take that as a compliment. Yes,
(01:30:55):
Ernest Miller was at the Goldberg retirement. Yeah, Rainman and God,
I haven't seen that movie in a long time. Rain
Man's a good movie. Hoffman was really good in that movie.
Dustin Hoffman, Jen Ay tracking problems. Jared Letto stars in
(01:31:20):
the New he Man. It's morbid time. What is with
this Jared let He's like in fucking everything? The fuck
is the big deal about Jared Letto? I don't even
know him and he already annoys me. Alex is, do
you think when Cody eventually turns heel, will he replicate
(01:31:42):
the old ring of honor heel Cody gimmick? Or will
wwe keep it tamed? Oh? Wwe will keep it tamed.
You can bet on that. Alex says, you better watch
the Mandalorian in Grogue next year, or else Joseph will
not be happy. You know there will be trivia questions. Well,
(01:32:05):
if there are, I will not be able to answer
any of those trivia questions. Justin says, buy rent seal, pastrami,
corn beef or briskets. You know that's the kind of
question I can get behind. I'm buying on pashtrami, I
am gonna rent on brisket, and I'm gonna sell on
corn beef. And I don't hate corn beef, but it's
(01:32:27):
the weakest of the bunch. It's been a while since
I've had like a good pastrami sandwich with mustard. I
think I'm due for one of those. The problem is,
there's a there's a deli around here somewhere. One sandwich
is like eighteen dollars. The fuck out of here. Get
(01:32:48):
the fuck out of here. Are you fucking getting me?
Fucking eighteen dollars? Sandwich with the potato of soup is
like twenty two dollars. Devin from NJ two thousand buy
er sell tears for fears or dead or alive Tears
for fears. Man, I gotta go tears for fears. There
(01:33:20):
you go. Cats is elite. Yeah, I'm not talking about
cats though, well Cats is cats. Kats Deli is like
world famous. That's in Manhattan. I'm sure the sandwiches are
very expensive there too. Much as I would like to
have some good pastrami, I'm not spending eighteen dollars on
a pastrami sandwich. I'm sorry, it's not that good. I
(01:33:41):
don't care how good it is. It's not that good.
I'll have my impeccable chicken breast then I'll be happy,
all right. So thank you guys, appreciate all the questions
on various topics. It did hit the goal of four
hundred likes. We are at four oh five, so that
(01:34:06):
means that we eighteen dollars. I'll take the corn beef. Hey,
the corn beef is probably sixteen. You make it sound
like the corn beef is much better. The corn beef
is going to be just as expensive. You can get
a belt, maybe that'll be cheap. No meat. We got
(01:34:28):
ed swaggles with us thirty three months of membership. Give
it up. Fred bringing up the nine oh two to
one oh theme reminds me, do you know what the
zip code to Dawson's Creek is? It's nine oh one
oh eight. For our lives to be over, I'd never
(01:34:48):
watch Dawson's Creek. I didn't watch Dawson's Creek. I didn't
watch Shit's Creak. Although somebody once told me I look
like somebody from the show Shit's Creak. I've been told
I look like a whole bunch of different people. If
I ever committed a crime, I would completely get away
with it because you would have ten different people giving
(01:35:09):
ten different descriptions of who I look like. I could
commit like the ultimate crime and just walk scott free.
For all the people I look like. I probably should
commit a crime. Watching this show sometimes makes me want
to commit a Crime's be the booker, Ladies and gentlemen.
It is now time to be the booker. Yes I don't.
(01:35:32):
That is a Paula Cole song. Yes I know, I know.
Not her best song, though, that would be Where have
all the Cowboys gone? Tag team? Be the booker. We
have the Shield, we have Roman reigns and Seth rollins.
This would have been the WrestleMania match next year. That's
out the window now. Sing it solo. Yeah, about as
(01:35:56):
close as you're gonna get. Roman and against the Briscoes,
Mark and J Brisco Man, there's a match I would
have loved to have seen. I will forever be grateful though,
that I was able to call the very last match
(01:36:17):
the Brisco's ever wrestled together. The last actual tag team
match that they had together was in House of Glory,
and I got to call it. It was a great match,
and it's eerie thinking that that was the last time
they teamed together in the ring. But I will forever
(01:36:39):
be grateful for that. Oh we go, Women's be the booker.
Hopefully a good women's match here with the women's Blood
and Guts coming up. Oh I got Becky Lynch, the
man who's picking a fight with Jessica Carr. I'm telling
(01:37:01):
you they're going to have a match soon. She's gonna
be wrestling that referee soon. You watch, you watch, Becky
Lynch is going to go one on one with Carmela,
the Princess of Staten Island, who is currently I guess retired.
(01:37:21):
I don't know if we're ever going to see her
back in the ring. She was a champion a few times.
How are we feeling about that, Becky and Carmela. You know,
I'm gonna give that ding ding ding. You know, Becky's
going in there and having these pretty decent matches with
Maxine Duprie. I'm sure her and Carmela would be able
to go out there and have a pretty good match.
(01:37:46):
I mean, she's going in there and having solid matches
with Maxine Duprie. I can't give this a buzzer. Come on,
Carmela is better than Maxine Duprix. Becky actually has been
putting in some really good work this year. Oh my god,
(01:38:08):
he's pulling double duty. It's like he did tonight. He
had a match and then he came back out for
a promo. Mark Briscoe probably your next TNT champion. Mark
Briscoe is in our main event. He was in our
tag team match, and now he's coming back out to
pull double duty here and be the booker against mister
(01:38:33):
Bob Backland. I do like crazy Bob. Okay, let me
just say that Psycho Bob very entertaining in the ring.
No good Bob Backland, up until the point that he
(01:38:56):
turned heel was actually still really good and he had
a great match with Brett Hart Babyface versus Babyface on
Superstars in July of ninety four. I think it might
have been July thirtieth, nineteen ninety four, but that's neither
here nor there. But once he turned and he went
crazy heel, and when I would see him in the ring,
(01:39:16):
those matches were fucking awful. He actually gave Brett Hart
one of the worst matches, if not the worst match
of his career at WrestleMania eleven. And then the stipulation
didn't help because it was I quit. But yeah, as
a character, as a gimmick five stars in the ring
at that point, no good but Bob Beckland man, crazy
(01:39:43):
Bob Man. That character, he would have had more time
like a little earlier in his career to play that
thing out, he would have had a much longer run
than three days. We'll try again on Friday. That's the
next time I'm going to be with you live for
the post show for SmackDown and any pay per views. Wow,
(01:40:06):
it's a quiet weekend. I'm going to look forward to this.
I'll be working anyway, but I'm going to be looking
forward to this. No pay per views this weekend, no pls,
and then we're going into Halloween next week. It's gonna
be fun. The devil's lettuce, that's right, No devil's lettuce
for Bob Backland went one for three. Sounds like a
Brewer's pitcher. Nothing that the Brewers do, or the Blue Jays,
(01:40:32):
or the Dodgers, or the Mets or or anyone is
going to be as bad as what happened to the
Giants this week. I still cannot believe that that actually happened.
I cannot believe that the New York Football Giants went
into the fourth quarter of their game up nineteen to nothing.
(01:40:54):
They were putting a beating on the Broncos, and they
lost thirty three to thirty two. They allowed the opposition
to score thirty three points in the fourth quarter. That will.
I don't care what happens between now and the end
of the NFL season. There will never be a worse
(01:41:14):
loss this season than that. I don't know how that
team or their fans live that down. I feel actual
sympathy for Giants fans. I have friends who are Giants
fans who just I don't know, they may be permanently
psychologically scarred by that loss. John Garcias is, how did
(01:41:37):
the show come off on TV? I was there earlier.
Came off actually crowd wise, very loud. I don't know
how many people were there. It didn't look like a
huge crowd, but I thought they were actually very vocal
for most of the show. So the crowd in San
Antonio tonight, I give them a thumbs up. All right,
be well, stay safe. I will see you back here
(01:41:58):
for the Smack Damn Show on Friday. Go check out
all the other content here on the channel, and we'll
do it all over again next Wednesday after Dynamite. Until then,
take care, guys,
