Speaker 1 (00:01):
After that dud of an ending that AW gave us
a Dynasty this past Sunday. Tonight was the follow up
to the pay per view, and as far as that goes,
it was not very good. I don't know what the
hell that promo was. At the beginning of the show
with Kenny Omega. We had Kenny Omega on the show
coming off of perhaps the greatest triple threat match in
(00:22):
AW history, easily the best thing on the entire show
on Sunday, and he's out here tonight in his street
clothes addressing the Young Bucks talking about Dookie and I
don't know, I don't know. I don't know what the
idea was behind that promo. But we had Kenny Omega
talking about dog crap. You think I'm joking, Wait until
(00:46):
we get to that segment. We had an underwhelming explanation
from the Young Bucks says to why they did what
they did? Why? Oh? Why? Right? Why? Matt? Why? Why? Nick? Why?
Why did they do what they did at Dynasty on
Sunday and assist in John Moxley retaining the AW World Championship.
(01:08):
As explanations go, this was a very underwhelming one. Pack
may have broken his ankle on the show tonight, so
we had that. We had eight guys wrestling each other
for the right to win four hundred thousand dollars in
prize money. Why four hundred thousand dollars beats the fuck
out of me, I don't know. That's probably the money
(01:30):
that fell out of Tony Kahn's pockets when he woke
up this morning. So we had that on the show.
And we had Wheeler Dah in the main event. Just
when I thought it couldn't get any worse, we had
Wheeler Dah must be in his contract. He's had a
lot of mainave, He's had more main events than most.
Tonight he was wrestling in the main event. On the
(01:51):
positive side, we had a good women's match in the
Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. We had Chris Statlander and thunder Rose.
I enjoyed their match. Actually, I enjoyed Tony Storm's one
liners on commentary more than anything else. But I enjoyed
that match. And Chris Jericho, so upset with Big Bill
and Brian Keith and their inability to help him in
(02:14):
his ROH title match with Bandido at Dynasty, said that
he has to go away for a while. That was
probably the best news of the entire night. In all honesty,
he said, I think I'm gonna go away for a while.
So there was that, and that was really kind of
(02:35):
sums up Dynamite in a nutshell right there. This was
not a great show. I don't know what they have
planned as far as anything big for next week, because
next week is their big spring breakthrough show where they
passed WCW Monday nightro on the list of longest running
primetime pro wrestling shows in the history of Turner Television,
so that's coming up. I think that's their two hundred
(02:56):
and eighty ninth episode of Dynamite next week, and coming
off of a pay per view where yeah, we had
some really good matches, but a really bad taste left
in people's mouths at the end of that show. I
think they needed to really come out guns blazing tonight,
and they did not do that. It is a very
flat show from start to finish. This is your AW
(03:18):
Dynamite review. It is Wednesday, April ninth, twenty and twenty five.
I am the Solemn Monster. See even when, even if
you're someone who isn't enamored with what AW is doing
right now, even if you didn't like Dynamite. You like
being here right this, right here, this is appointment viewing.
Every single week we get to hang out and talk
about the good, the bad, and the ugly of Dynamite.
(03:41):
And that's what we're gonna do tonight. I have to
give before I go any further, I have to give
a very big congratulations to one of our own I
don't I don't know that he's with us right now
live in the chat, but you may have seen messages
in the Chat or the occasional super Chat from Chris
Mike Cell and he sent me an email few hours
ago just to let me know that he is now
(04:02):
the father of a brand new bouncing baby boy named
Anthony Anthony Mike Sell and he sent me a photo.
I don't know if he wanted me to share the photo.
He did want me to let everybody know the good news.
So wherever he may be, congrats to Chris. That is awesome.
And again I saw the photo. I saw in the
(04:23):
background of the photo, actually he had a GWO one
of our Green World Order T shirts in the background. Anyway,
congrats to him much health and happiness and hopefully we'll
see you back in the chat real suit so I
just wanted to let everybody know that here right from
the top. Speaking of the top, start with the top
of this show. We had a video from the Death Riders,
(04:47):
because the nightmare continues the death death being the keyword there.
The death Spiral continues with John Moxley and his group
at the top here in aw and it will continue
until we get to Texas. In it all in because
clearly the fact that he walked out of Dynasty is
the AW World Champion is indicative of the fact that
he is not losing that title until at least July twelfth,
(05:11):
So we have a ways to go until we have
a new champion crown. But we had John Boxley here
in this video. He was surrounded by the rest of
the Death Riders, and Moxley said that this is the
greatest roster of pure talent ever assembled under one roof,
and he wondered why none of these guys could get
their acts together when it counts. He brought up the
(05:31):
return of the Young Bucks at Dynasty. He said he
doesn't recognize them anymore, and he hasn't in some time.
He said, they better be real careful before they make
any moves, so making it very clear here right from
the onset that he had nothing to do with them returning,
or at least that's what he claims, nothing to do
with their return at Dynasty, didn't know they were going
(05:53):
to come out, didn't want their help, didn't need their help. Well,
I mean he didn't need their help. So that was
the first thing that they showed us, and that led
directly into John Moxley and Marina Shaffir making their way
out to the ring. Because Moxley, who wrestled in the
last match on Sunday, was in the first match tonight,
which was a non title match against Katsiori Sabata, who
(06:14):
of course is one third of the Ops with Samoa,
Joe and Hook who did come out during the main
event on Sunday, So there was that connection there. So
we had Moxley against Shabata. Shabata got the early advantage.
He got Moxley in an octopus hold, he hit his
corner basement drop kick, and he went for another one.
Moxley popped up though, and hit him with a lariat,
(06:36):
so Shabata kicked out at one. Moxley hit a pile
driver and Shabbata no sold it, which was stupid and
then he hit a PK. Moxley got the rake to
the eyes that allowed him to sink in a rear
naked choke, had the arm trapped, and Shabata went out
surprisingly quick. This didn't even last much longer than five
(06:58):
maybe five or six minutes tops, so that was surprising. Now,
when the match was over, we hear the Young Bucks
music outcomes Matt and Nick Jackson. They make their way
down to the ring before Moxley and Shaffir could leave,
so they had a little face off and Shaffer stepped
in between them. The camera didn't really catch what Moxley
said to them before he and Marina took their leave.
(07:21):
They exited through the crowd. Nick Jackson said, everybody wonders
why they cost Swerve Strickland the AW World championship in Dynasty.
He said, well, we did it for our good friend.
They did it for Hangman Page. This was the explanation
(07:41):
that we got here. They did it for Hangman Page
because they know that he did not want Swerve ever
again to be the AW World Champion, and they did
that for him. They never forget who their friends are,
so they love Hangman just like they know he still
loves them, Matt Jackson said. Second of all, they did
(08:03):
it as a peace offering to John Moxley and the
Death Writers said. They sat at home and they realize
they have more in common with the Death Writers than
they think. They want AW to be the best company
in the world, just like the Bucks do. They all
want to change the world. The Bucks are impressed with Moxley. Really,
(08:25):
they're impressed with Moxley. Yes, impressed is not the word
I would use to describe anything about this run that
he has been on since Wressell Dream. But they're impressed. Apparently,
they impress very easily. So they are impressed by Moxley,
who said that he did what they couldn't, which is
takeover AW. And the AW World title says, imagine the
(08:46):
death Riders and the founding fathers, the EVPs together. I'm
imagining it right now and it's giving me a stomach ache,
that's what it's doing. So they invited Moxley back to
the ring to discuss business. Instead, they didn't get Moxley,
they got Kenny Omega. Omega's music plays. He walks out.
(09:09):
He spoke from the aisleway. He was in his street
clothes and he said, so you did all this for
your friends, huh said, Uh, they forgot to do him phrasing.
Phrasing is very important in these situations. The last time
they saw each other, Omega remembered how they pushed him
(09:32):
off of a stretcher that was taking him to the
hospital when he was still dealing with diverticulitis. And Omega
never forgot, but he actually forgave them because when he
came back, it was for his legacy, it was not
for revenge. They're trying to restore the feeling, he said.
They're still working on that. They're still trying to restore
the feeling here in aaw I was trying to restore
(09:57):
the feeling in my ash cheeks and my legs. By
the TI that pay per view is over on Sunday night,
because it went over five hours. So then Omega tells
this story, and this is where it kind of went
off the rails a little bit. He told this story
about visiting a friend in high school who had a
pair of Shitsu dogs and the dogs used to and
(10:19):
I quote Dukie on the floor. This is what he said.
Over time, the more it's ridiculous. Over time, the more
that the Dukie would pile up. He finally put his
foot down and he brought up how they should hang
(10:41):
out at his place. He said, that's the equivalent of
what the Young Bucks have done in aw You know,
Ciampunk said that he worked with children, but they speak
like children as well. Omega said, the bucks shredded documents.
So here we go with the shredding of the documents.
That was one of the last things we saw from
the Young Bucks on TV before they went away. Right
(11:03):
camera came in, they were shredding documents in an office
before they left the building, and it was never explained
what that was in reference to. So, finally, if Omega
is to be believed, this is the explanation after all
these months of what the documents being shredded were all about.
He said, the buck shredded documents the last time we
(11:25):
saw them, and we're supposed to be shocked by that,
when all it was was them shredding receipts for private
jets and a chair in your master bedroom facing your bed,
which got a small reaction here from the crowd. Now,
maybe he was just joking around, or maybe that's just
their way of kind of writing that off, like, hey,
you know what, we have to address this whole like
(11:46):
shredding of the documents thing. And so let's just have
Kenny go out there and say, yeah, you know, they
were just expensing shit that they had no business expensing.
And that's the answer to the grand mystery. There you go,
all you wondering and waiting for the big explanation. It
looks like you just got it. Omega said, if it
wasn't for the death Riders, it was the bucks that
(12:08):
almost killed the company, killed the company that Omega gave
his heart and soul for. He can't lie that time
off did them real wonders? You know, Nick, he looks
every bit of the ninety pounds he lost before, while
Matt needs to lay off the hot stuff because he
looks as red as Nick Lapel's. Yeah. Yeah, Matt Jackson
was looking very orange tonight. So Omega said that he
(12:33):
could go on and on after listening to this promo.
I took that as a threat, but he would rather
cut out the middleman and they can fight. And so
with that he headed to the ring. Now before this
could happen, though, we heard the coin drop and out
comes the Continental Champion, Kazusko Kata he power walks to
the ring and it was looking like a three on
one situation until Swerve Strickland's music hit. He entered from
(12:57):
the crowd. He had prints Nana with him at a
steel chair. The bucks in Okada they bailed, and Swerve
is standing in the ring and he is just shooting
a death glare at the bucks in the aisleway, and
then he glances over at Omega gives him a fist bump.
Omega leaves and Swerve proclaims it buck hunting season. It
(13:18):
is buck hunting season according to Swerve Strickland, and that
he has a shotgun ready to go. And before he
could say anything else, Pack blindsides him from behind. And
we were told that their match would be taking place
next So before we get to that, this was the
big explanation coming out of Dynasty. Why were the young
(13:39):
Bucks in the ring assisting John Moxley, the man who
has been trying to destroy aw in spite of whatever
he may say. Right, that's the purpose of the Death
Riders in effect, is to create chaos. Right. They cheat
in every match. They've injured people before. Remember in the beginning,
they were using hammers on people all the vile, nasty
(13:59):
shit that they do. Even though the members of the
Death Writers can't seem to agree on what the actual
mission of the Death Rids is. If you'll recall when
Renee was interviewing them in their basement a few months
ago and we had Claudio saying, no, we don't want
to destroy aw it's just the opposite. This is what
people don't understand. And then Pack of course said the
(14:19):
exact opposite of that and said, well, we want to
burn this place to the fucking ground. So you can't
even get these guys to agree on exactly what the
mission statement for this faction should be. But nonetheless, why
would the young Bucks do what they did. They did
it for Hangman paid. Now, maybe they're lying. They probably
are full of shit. Maybe the actual explanation is something else.
(14:41):
Maybe the actual explanation will come out in the weeks
to come. And they didn't want to give it all
away here on night one. They gave away just enough
though where I looked at this and I said, this
does not change my mind at all from the way
that I felt when that pay per view was over
on Sunday. When that pay per view was over on Sunday,
I felt ripped off off, I felt agitated for a
(15:01):
variety of different reasons. I could tell I've already gone
on at length about the length of the pay per
view and how fucking long it was just to give
us that ending after five hours was a slap in
the face, but just the fact that month after month
we have this death Rider stuff, which has been going
on since October, okay, six months of this. By the
(15:25):
time all is said and done, this is going at
least nine months. And the last three aw pay per
views have had main events that have underwhelmed. We had
the Four Way at World's End, which was the weakest
of all the pay per view main events we had.
In twenty twenty four, we had that debacle, it Revolution,
We saw what happened to Dynasty, on and on and on.
(15:47):
This goes just to build to one moment in Texas
at all in where the conquering babyface, whoever that's gonna be,
Hangman Page, will Osprey, Darby Allen. If we don't know
who the wild card is, could Darby. Maybe Darby's not
really climbing the mountain, maybe it's all a swerve. Who knows,
Whoever that conquering baby face is gonna be, I would
(16:08):
guess Osprey standing atop the aw Mountain, finally ending the
death Rider's nightmare and holding the championship high. That's great,
that's great. But in the meantime, we still have a
few months yet to go before we even get there.
And it would be one thing if what we were
getting on a weekly basis here was actually compelling television.
Except it's not. And we know we have another three
(16:30):
months of this. It's been bad enough up to this point,
but we're not done yet. When am I supposed to
be having fun with this story? I'm sure some people
are having fun with this story. I'll believe me now.
If you talk to a lot of the sickos, they're
loving this. This is right up their alley. That's why
Tony Khan is doing it. He thinks this is a
(16:50):
great story. His diehard fans think this is a great story,
and so they're going to enjoy the story. But I'm
watching this show week to week, and I know a
lot of other people are watching this show weeks and
they're asking the question, when when does this get fun?
When does this get truly compelling? The only compelling part
of this entire thing involves Hangman Adam Page, and even
(17:14):
then I still get grief from some people who don't
like Hangman, And maybe that's a carryover from the punk stuff,
or or they just don't like his story, whatever it
may be. I think Hangman Page is the most compelling
character that they have on their television show, and I
felt that way for a long time, even tonight on
the show. What little bit we got from him I
(17:36):
liked is very brief, but I liked it so typically
whatever he's involved in of late, like, all right, you
know what I can get behind that. I like that.
And Swerve is still in a good spot, you know,
he's still kind of in the mix, even though he
didn't win the championship. Outside of that, I don't give
a shit about any of this. I don't give a
(17:57):
shit about these people. I don't give a shit about Moxley.
I don't give a shit about the Bucks. You have
not given me a reason to care about any of this,
and this explanation quote unquote tonight didn't do anything to
change that. This is the fallout from Dynasty, and this
is what they came up with here. Not much else
(18:21):
to say about this opening segment, but This was not
a good follow up to what we saw on Sunday,
but we did go immediately into the first match coming
out of this, which was Swerve Strickland one on one
with Pack. This did not even go five minutes, unfortunately
due to an injury and hopefully it is not too serious,
(18:43):
but it did not look good. So what happened is
there was a buckle bomb spot. The buckle bomb claims another,
when are they going to stop doing this move? The
buckle bomb claims another. Swerve gave him a buckle bomb
into the corner, and surprisingly, it was not his head
or his neck that had any issues. It was his foot.
(19:03):
And you could tell because the moment he landed in
the corner and he hit the turn buckles, he screamed.
And this was not like a scream where he was
like selling or anything like. This was a scream where
it's like, oh, why is he screaming? On a bucklebomb spot?
And it was clear that something was wrong here, and
he fucked up his right leg. I don't know if
it was his foot, I don't know if it was
(19:24):
the ankle more than the foot itself. That I don't know,
but he let out a scream. He rolled out to
the floor and the doctor checked him out. You know,
they kept the camera on Swerve at that point, who
just kind of stayed where he was in the ring
and the doctor was checking Unpack on the outside. You
can see the referee Stefan Smith. He goes over to Swerve.
He goes go to the finish. You could see him.
(19:44):
You see him mouth the words to Swerve go to
the finish. Once Pack told the doctor that he was
okay enough to get back into the ring to go
to the finish. So Pack rolls back into the ring.
He cannot put any weight on the foot. He hobbles
around on it little bit. He eats a superkick, so
down he goes. He's doing everything he can to keep
the foot elevated and protect his leg. Swerve goes up
(20:06):
to the top rope. He comes off with a Swerve stomp.
You could actually hear Pack say I'm sorry as Swerve
covers him and he gets the pin. And again this
went not even five minutes. This was no work. He
really did hurt himself. Unfortunately, with any luck, maybe he
just badly rolled his ankle, but this did not look
(20:30):
good at all. And so if Pack is out for
any length of time, that presents a problem because he
is one third of the Trio Champions, and so what
they'll have to do ultimately is I mean, they could
have Moxiley step in for him in a big match
if they have to, or they may have to head
a new member if they need that third person. If
(20:51):
they're gonna do anarchy in the arena, if they're gonna
do blooding guts, the Death Riders are gonna you know,
the Death Riders will have mox League, Claudio and Yuda,
and then assuming the Bucks would join them, you've got
five guys right there. So for an anarchy in the
arena or a blooding guts, it really shouldn't be too
much of an issue. And they're definitely doing blood and
(21:12):
guts because as Swerve was leaving, he was backing up
down the aisleway, he was cutting a promo on mox
League or the Bucks, looking directly into the camera and
he specifically said blooding guts, even though they did not
say a word on the show tonight about blood and guts,
and if it happens, it probably won't be until June,
but he did say it, so clearly they're going to
(21:33):
be doing Blood and Guts against So by the way
I should mention this on that note, do you realize
that if the elite, if these elite fuckers are in
this blood and guts match again this year, this will
be the third straight year that we have the elite
in a blood and guts match, at least like with
(21:53):
the Bloodline and Wargames. There was a break in between
the two Wargames matches that had Bloodline involvement two years ago.
Right it was the Judgment Day, it was the baby
Faces against the Judgment Days. We had a little bit
of a break. We need a break here from the
elite when it comes to these matches. Seriously, we need
to get a different mix of people involved. If that's
(22:14):
the same shit, they're going to run back again this year,
because at this point it's ridiculous. Now, Renee was backstage
and she stopped Hangman. So this was one of the
segments on the show that I enjoyed. Hangman is just
power walking through the hallway and she stops him and
tries to get a word with him before she could
really ask him about his match coming up in the
(22:36):
Owen Heart Tournament in the wild card, he doesn't know
who he's going to be facing. He basically ignored her
and he stormed into Swerve Strickland's locker room and he
was looking for Swerve. He did not find Swerve. He
found Prince Nana instead. I don't know where Swarve. I
guess Swerve must have been in the bathroom taking a dukie.
(22:57):
So he wanted to know where Swerve was. And then
he told us sit down and listen. He wants to
make something perfectly clear at Dynasty. I was not trying
to help Swerve. Next week he's entering the Owen and
if Swerve interferes in his match, he's gonna pick up
with him where he left off. So he went to
(23:17):
go leave, Nanas stopped him, and he started to apologize.
He goes, I'm not speaking for Swerve here, but like
over the past year, and then it sounded like he
was about to go into something of an apology, and
Hangman realized it too, and he quickly cut him off.
He goes, don't don't say another word. He says, you
(23:37):
don't get to say that, and then he stormed off.
I like this, I like this. See this is this
is storytelling with Hangman that I have I have been
a fan of and I can get behind, and they've
been very slowly, you know, telling this story with him
and Swerve where clearly there's going to be either a
reconciliation or just some sort of understanding at least in
(24:01):
the coming weeks between them, and they'll likely end up
his tag team partners in this against the Young Bucks.
That may well be the match at all In. Yeah,
still a few months away, but I think they are
building to a Swerve Hangman tag team against the Young Bucks.
All In would make sense because Swerve is Unless Swerve
is the wildcard, he's not in the O and he's
not going to be challenging for the championship on that show.
(24:23):
Hangman could I'm thinking it probably will not be him,
but that tag team match will be coming up soon.
But it's the stuff they've done, the interactions with him
and Swerve in recent weeks, even last week, I've really
enjoyed that. So this was very brief, but it was
honestly one of the better parts of the show tonight.
(24:43):
This week's episode is sponsored by Express VPN Picture It
Monday night, Raw is in town and you're driving to
the show. When you suddenly get rear ended, and while
it may be the other guy's fault, you're the idiot
driving around without any car insurance. It doesn't matter how
great of a driver you think you are. With all
the crazy people on the road these days, why would
(25:04):
you even take the risk. That's what going online is
like without ExpressVPN. You need a VPN because every time
you connect to a network that's not encrypted, which could
be anywhere outside your own home, your online data is
not secure. Any hackers on that same network can easily
gain access to your personal information and steal your passwords,
(25:24):
your bank logins, you name it. It's all right there
for the taking, and it doesn't take a lot of
know how to pull it off either. A kid in
middle school could do it. Hackers can make a killing
on your data, up to one thousand dollars per person
selling it on the dark web. ExpressVPN stops hackers from
doing so by creating a secure, encrypted tunnel between your
device and the internet. ExpressVPN is the best VPN because
(25:47):
it's super secure and it's easy to use. Fire up
the app, you click one button to get protected, and
that's it. It also works on all of your devices,
including phones, laptops and tablets, and for customers in the
United States, pressvpn comes with Identity Defender, a new suite
of tools to get your data removed from data brokers,
alert you when your data is compromised on the dark web,
(26:08):
and even insure you against data theft for up to
a million dollars. There's a reason why ExpressVPN is ranked
number one by top tech reviewers like Cnet and The Verge.
I'm going to be flying out to different places over
the next few months, and I'll be doing what I
do on every trip that I take, which is making
sure that I have ExpressVPN enabled on my phone. That way,
I've got peace of mind knowing that I'm protected at
(26:30):
all times at the airport, in my hotel. It doesn't matter,
it's that important to me. It's just not worth it
to risk my credit card details or email passwords and
all the things that would be a gigantic pain in
the neck to have to change, let alone run the
risk of having that information compromised. Now you don't have
to worry about it. Secure your online data today by
(26:51):
visiting Express vpn dot com, slash solo monster that's e
xp R eess vpn dot com slash Solomon to find
out how you can get up to four extra months
free ExpressVPN dot com slash Sola Monster. Then they had
an eight man tag team match with Will Osprey, Kevin Knight, Speedball,
(27:13):
Mike Bailey and Mark Brisco taking on Ricochet, Leo Rush,
Action Andretti and the Beast Mortos, who never wins anything.
The last time you want to match on AW television,
forget Ring of Honor, the last time you want to
match on AW television, you'd have to go all the
way back to the beginning of the year. Generally speaking,
(27:35):
Mortos does not win anything, so I think I mean
people like the Beast Mortos. He just never wins any
matches here, but he was involved in this. But this
was not just any eight man tag team match. Oh no, no, no, no, no,
no no. This was an eight man tag team match
for four hundred thousand dollars in prize money to be
(27:57):
divided up evenly amongst the winning members. Whatever forsome wins
this match, how did they come to four hundred thousand dollars.
I do recall them having a battle Royal. It might
have been a rampage A long time ago for like
three hundred thousand. They come up with these dollar amounds.
But I'm serious, Like I said at the beginning of
(28:19):
the stream, it's probably know the money that fell out
of Tony Kin's pocket when he woke up this morning.
Oh okay, yeah, we'll use this in a match tonight.
So just randomly out of nowhere, four hundred thousand dollars
on the line here In this match, there was a
spot where Ricochet tried to dive out over the top.
All the baby Faces moved and Ricochet landed on his feet,
but then he realized he was screwed and very slowly
(28:41):
turned around. He got paint brushed on his bald head
by all four Babyfaces. They went to commercial. They came
back from the break, Mike Bailey was lighting up Mortas
with kicks and a running shooting star. Mortos, though tried
hulking up or a beasting. He's beasting up, so he
(29:02):
tried that. He flattened Bailey with a lung blower. Both
men were down. Ricochet tagged in but pose for the
crowd before missing a springboard dive. Speedball took out Leo,
Russian Action Andretti with charging boots only to turn into
a double stump by Ricochet. Mark Briscoe runs in, he
cleans house, then he gets flattened by a pop up
(29:23):
SAMO and drop by Mortos. And Mortos tried the same
thing on Kevin Knight. He countered into a spike DDT.
We skip ahead here to the finish. Ospray flew in
with an oscutter. Knight hit his UFO splash. All the
heels though broke up the pin attempt. Everybody spilled outside
except Osprey. And I'll give you one guess. I'll give
(29:44):
you one guess who took the loss here the beast Mortos,
because of course, so was Osprey and Mortos. Osprey hit
the Hidden Blade and with that he wins the match,
and he wins the four hundred thousand dollars for his team.
That's one hundred grand apiece. Now let me ask you
a question here. Will Osprey is in the Owen Heart Tournament, right.
(30:08):
I know Will Ospury wants to be the world champion
in aw right, everybody wants to be the world champion.
But let's be honest here, okay, And I think Bobby
Heenan would agree with me if he was alive today.
Will Ospray just won himself. I mean, I don't know
how long this match went, maybe ten minutes if that,
he won himself one hundred grand for ten minutes of
work here on this show. To me, that's a bigger
(30:31):
deal than him having to go through this tournament over
all these weeks and then challenge for the aw World
Championship in a few months. He won one hundred thousand
dollars here for ten minutes to work. To me, that's
a much bigger deal than him having to go through
the fucking Owen Heart tournament. And it was just like
another match, like, oh, they won, okay, so they get
the money that we can't see. We don't know what.
(30:53):
We don't even interview them to ask them, what are
you gonna do? What are you gonna spend it on? Nothing?
It's a ridiculous, nonsensical nothing stipation that adds nothing to
the match. It was just like, hey, you know what,
we'll just add a stip to the match. Instead of
just having the usual party match that we have here
with eight or ten guys, We'll just add some dumb
stipulation to it. And it's irritating because if you're going
(31:14):
to do a stipulation like that, right, at least take
advantage of it. Why not have Morta Like I get
they wanted the baby Faces to win? Okay, cool, So
why not leave Mark Briscoe out of the match and
have Will Osprey and Kevin Knight and Speedball and the
Beast Mortas? Right? The people like the Beast Mortos anyway,
(31:34):
why is he on the heel team? Let them be
with the baby Faces, let them win, and then you
could run weeks of vignettes, weeks of vignettes with whoever
leading the Beast Mortas around in different places, trying to
get him to spend his money in different ways. We
get to see what the Beast Mortas is going to
spend his one hundred thousand dollars on. They don't even
(31:57):
do that, Like it's just a complete waste. At least
try to get something entertaining out of it. What a waste?
So what this was It was a way to get
guys like Ospray and Bailey on the show. Kevin Knight,
he just debuted, he still brand new. He had a
great showing at Dynasty against Osprey on Sunday and he
(32:19):
got he didn't get the win here, but he got
the chance to shine here in this match, and they
should be showcasing him. So yeah, it's good that he
was involved here, but otherwise, if you're gonna add a
stipulation like that, at least try to capitalize on him.
Make it useful, make it mean something. This meant nothing.
(32:41):
They showed footage of FTR violently turning on Adam Copeland
at Dynasty an ex Caliber back at ringsight, he questioned
if we will ever see Cope again in aw and
he reminded people about his history of neck issues and
he's been ruled at in when light of the injuries
he sustained on Sunday, he has been ruled out of
(33:04):
action indefinitely, according to Excaliburn. Then the camera shifted over
to Tony Shavanni and it did the slow zoom in on Schevanni.
As he looked at the camera, he was very angry,
he was very upset. I mean, this was like Michael
Cole after John Cena turned heel. I remember they cut
to Cole at ringside. He cut a promo on John Cena.
(33:27):
This was Tony Shavanni's moment here, and they're slowly zooming
in on him and he's talking about how he has
seen some low disgusting acts over the course of his
wrestling career, going back to the days of the Four Horsemen,
but what FTR did takes the cake, and he thinks
that even Dax Harwood's daughter should be ashamed of her father.
(33:50):
I have a feeling that that line is going to
come back to haunt mister Schevanni on the show next week.
You want to you want to get these guys over
as a slimy asshole heel, Yeah, these aw fans, they
love Tony Shavanni. I think Tony Shavanni needs to take
a shatter machine next week. Plus it'll get him off
commentary for a little bit. We can get Nigel McGinnis.
(34:13):
That'll be good. But they did confirm here that Copeland
is going to be out of action for a while,
which he has to be. I mean, given what he took,
I mean the bumps that he took and what they
did to him at Dynasty on Sunday, he has to
be out for at least a month. You know, you
still got to leave some time if the idea is
to get to him and Christian reconciling to team up
(34:37):
against FTR in Texas. Then he'll have to come back
to give enough time to explain how you reunite coping
Christian in the first place, right, you have to tell
that story on television. But in the meantime, we shouldn't
see him for at least a few weeks. At least
a few weeks. And frankly, it'll be good because Copeland
(34:57):
is a babyface on television. You know, he comes out
sing the song the bell Rings and then it's like, eh,
it's been fucking boring. It'll be good for him to
get away for a little bit and then come back,
have the big return, and then gear up for whatever
they're gonna be doing in Texas at all. In we
had the Hurt Syndicate still tag team champions with their
(35:17):
win over Big Bill and Brian Keith at Dynasty. They
were out here in the ring with MVP for a
championship celebration. MVP said, two more challengers stepped up and
two more got beat up, Lashly and Benjamin. They raised
bottles of champagne. MVP toasts yet another successful defense. I
think this was their second. It's not like they've been
(35:38):
defending the titles NonStop every week, but they did have
a successful defense on Sunday, and so they're toasting until
MJF interrupts. We hear his music. He comes out to
the ring and he falls in line right next to them.
He just stands right next to them like he's a
part of the crew. I said, ye know, when they
started this angle, it's like Owen in the Nation and
(35:59):
he's standing there like he's part of the Hurt syndicate.
MJF said, you know they hurt people. Look at them
dripping in gold. You're welcome, by the way, because this
could not have come at a better time. He said.
Tony Kahan wanted him in the Owen Heart Cup tournament,
and he mocked the idea of doing so. He mocked
(36:20):
the idea of sweating his balls off and actually wrestling
every week instead, he said, with these guys, he gets
to cut the line and get back his aw World championship.
He scratches their back, helps them hold on to the
tag team titles like he did on Sunday at Dynasty.
(36:42):
They scratch his back because without his help he goes
woof and MJFS MVP. The what's the initiation process here?
Is like an old school blood brother contract, Like how
do we do this? So Bobby Lashley, who had a
just a disgusted look on his face from the moment
this guy walked out here. He does not like this man.
(37:03):
He told MJF to shut his mouth, said it was
really cute that he tried to help them, but they
don't need him. And MJF and Lashley they kind of
bickered back and forth until MVP and Shelton Benjamin stepped in.
MVP said that in order for MJF to join the
Hurt Syndicate, he has to get three thumbs up, and
MVP gave the thumbs up, Shelton Benjamin gave a thumbs down,
(37:26):
and at that point we knew what Lashley was going
to say, so that was it. The vote was two
to one. Lashley starts to smile, He hugs Shelton and
they take their titles and they leave and MVP just
looks over at MJF and he gives him a shrug
and he walks off, and so MJF is left all
alone in the ring, all frustrated and pissed off. Now
(37:47):
they did another segment. He was in the back. Later
in the show, Alicia Attut is interviewing the hurt syndicate.
Lashly reiterates, we don't need MJF. Shelton Benjamin calls him
he called MJF George Costanza and said that it is
funny to see him in line with the team. So
(38:07):
Lashly doesn't find this amusing. He walks off, and Shelton
tells MVP, I'll go talk to him, so off he goes.
MVP is by himself. He's about to talk to Alicia,
and there's a knock at the door, and who should
walk in but MJF, who wants to speak with MVP alone,
So he tells his girlfriend, actually, he called his girlfriend
(38:28):
a skank. For those who don't know, they've been dating
for a while now, he called his girlfriend a skank
and then he told her to basically hit the bricks,
not before giving her a smack on the ass though
on her way out. So MJF then asked MVP if
he thinks that MJF is a female dog. Do I
look like a female dog to you? And MVP said no, Max,
(38:48):
I don't think you look like a female dog. And
MJF says, well, then why are you treating me like
a bitch? An MVP says, that's your problem. You have
to know how to handle business. You find your consumer
and then you give them what they don't know they need.
And he walks off as or MJF, Oh my god, MJF, MVP.
(39:13):
MJF is left alone to ponder what he just heard.
I don't know what the end goal is here. I
don't I don't know where this is going. I don't
know where this is ending. I thought Hangman would be
involved in some way because they were still there was
still meat on the bone for Hangman and MJF, and
there still is. But now they're in two totally opposite directions,
(39:35):
like there is no involvement whatsoever between the two. So
I don't know where this is headed. But they finally
did address the elephant in the room, which is why
is MJF not in this fucking tournament? Why would MJF
not declare for the Owenhart Tournament like everybody else has,
Will Ospury and Hangman, Page and all these people. Because
(39:55):
after he beat Adam Cole, he made it very clear
I'm going after my triple B. I want to get
my belt back. And so this is a first class
ticket here to the main event at all in and
all these people are declaring. Jay White declared right, all
these people and MJF is involved in a completely different
(40:15):
program and seems to have no interest in it whatsoever.
Just like last year, it didn't make any sense. They
tried to make sense of it here by having him say, well,
I don't want to work that much. He goes, I
work smarter, not harder, And honestly, I mean, if you
look at his win loss record, you just look at
his the number of matches he has in any given year,
(40:36):
he doesn't work that much. He really doesn't. I would
say that as some of the bigger names go in
this company, he probably wrestles the least out of all
of them. So I mean that part is at least
somewhat believable, but it's still ridiculous. It's still ridiculous. You know.
The idea is that, well, I don't want to be
in this tournament. I don't want to work too hard,
you know, just to maybe get a shot again getting
(40:58):
my belt back. When I could just aligned myself with
these guys and I could kind of leach off of them,
cut the line and then get a shot of the
championship that way. So now he's not in the tournament,
and he's not joining the Hurt Syndicate, so he's not
gonna get his belt back that way or the other way.
And so this is the predicament now that he finds
himself in. At least they tried to address it. I'm
(41:20):
not saying that it's the greatest explanation in the world,
because it's not. It's still ridiculous, but at least they
did address it instead of completely ignoring it, which is
what they've done before. Just don't acknowledge it, just don't
even acknowledge it. At least they acknowledged it. Well, where
the MVP, MJF Hurt Syndicate stuff is going, honestly, I
don't know. I don't know where it's ultimately going to lead.
(41:46):
Renee was backstage, she was there with Meghan Bain and
Penelope Ford, asking how are you coming out of Megan's
loss to Tony storman dynasty. Penelope said that that was
only a taste of defeat, but it changes nothing. Everything
Baine has been through is not erased just because Tony
Storm survived, and she said that Baine will be at
(42:09):
Collision and doesn't care who or how many, and at
that point she got cut off, Megan Baine put her
arm out, and then she stepped in front of her
looked dead in the camera, and she spoke actual words
for the first time during like a live interview here
on this show, and all she said was I will
make you bow down. That was it shortened to the point,
(42:34):
but at least we got actual words spoken out of
her mouth here. And I don't know if that means
that she's going back after Tony Storm right away and
they're going to go into a rematch, maybe a double
or nothing. That's kind of what I felt coming out
of the pay per view. You know, they did everything
they could to protect this woman in defeat. Are they
just gonna completely pivot in a totally different direction so
(42:56):
she doesn't have to lose again to Tony Storm. You could,
but you also could get one more match out of it,
and that match you will have to lose decisively, but
you can absolutely get another match out of it between
her and Tony Storm. Tony is not losing that title
until all in at the earliest, right, It's just not happening.
So you have one pay per view left between now
(43:18):
and Texas that is May twenty fifth, So to me,
as I look at the layout here, the lay of
the land in this women's division, I think we're looking
at Tony and Megan one more time, and then the
next big match is going to be whoever wins the Owen,
which I think should be Jamie Hater, but whoever it's
going to be, that's the match that they'll do in
(43:38):
Texas at all. In speaking of the Owen, we had
Chris stat Lander and thunder Rosa. This was a first
round match in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. Timeless Tony Storm,
the aw women's World champion. She said in on commentary
here for this match, she's scouting her competition, potential competition
(43:59):
here for tenxus. Storm said that if she teamed with Statlander,
they would be called thunder thighs. But if she teamed
with of course, Statlander was wrestling thunder Rosa here tonight,
which you know their name is thunder Tits. So if
it's Statlander and Tony, apparently they are thunder thighs. But
(44:21):
if she team with Tony Shavani, she said, they would
just be called tits. All the announcers they started cracking out.
They were trying not to bust up every time that
this woman had a one liner, which was a lot
here during this match, this happened multiple times. She mentioned
that she loves Texas because it's big, just like her
big package that no one has kicked out of. Ex
(44:44):
Caliber said, Meghan Bain has unfinished business with her, and
Tony said the business was finished in her eyes, and
both Rose and Statlander brawled at ringside, they went to commercial.
Rosa was in the driver's seat. When they came back,
Tony was giving a PSA. Actually, honestly, this was my
favorite part. Tony is giving a PSA to the camera
(45:05):
telling all the kids watching kids, please try this at home,
and ex Caliber said, we do not endorse that statement.
Just for the record, so that popped me. Storm said
the last time she wrestled Statlander, she was dropped on
her head and she shrunk three inches. Then she saw
Tony Shavanni and she pop right up. Rosa tried to
(45:26):
cause Adora. Statlander countered into a blue thunderbomb, got a
close near fall out of that. Rosa spun out of
a Wednesday Night fever attempt and hit a destroyer for two.
Rosa hit a charging knee flush and then said it's
nothing personal before slapping Statlander in the face. She charged
at her, Statlander cut her off with a wild lariat
(45:47):
and then hit the Wednesday Night Fever to pick up
the wind. This was good, although Tony's night of one
liners here kind of overshadowed the match itself, but I
was entertained, so that's all that matters. But with this win,
Statlander moves on to the next round, and so she
will meet the winner of the Jamie Hayter Billy Starks match,
which I believe is taking place on Collision this weekend.
(46:09):
I do believe, and that should be a win for
Jamie Hayter of course. So that's the way things are
shaping up on that side of the bracket. In the Owen,
don Kallis was backstage with two of his men, Kenoski
Takeshta and Kyle Fletcher, who picked up a win in
the Owen Heart Tournament over Mark Brisco on Sunday. He
(46:32):
said all roads are leading to a don Kallis Family
final in the Owen between these two men. Here. He said,
Brody King got one over on Lance Archer, but that
won't happen again against Takeshta. Says his men are in
their twenties. They're oiled up talk of the town. Given
the rash of injuries that have hit their family. They're
(46:53):
accepting applications now for new members. So he tells people,
he goes, send in your resume, send in your picture,
send in your bank account information, and he'll take you
straight to the top elsewhere. The new TNT champion, Adam Cole,
was backstage with the Undisputed Kingdom. But you talk about
matches on Sunday that just were We're just there, you know,
(47:19):
I said this during my review. I felt nothing watching
that match, and I was aware of the angles they've
shot on collision in the previous matches they had. It's
not like, you know, I wasn't familiar with the story
going into it, but I just I felt nothing, you know,
And that was kind of the story of the TNT
title run. The Daniel Garcia ahead and the reason why
I said that championship needs to come off of him.
(47:41):
It's got to come off of him and go and
I don't know if it'll be any better, honestly, you
know under Adam Cole. We know Adam Cole is a
good wrestler, but it all comes down to the booking.
It all comes down to what program do you have
planned for him, Who is he going to work with,
who is he going to be defending that championship against,
So you have a real good, solid idea in mind
(48:03):
for him. Otherwise he'll end up having a very uneventful run,
just like Garcia did. But you had to shake things
up and get that belt off of him because it
was just dying of death. So I'm glad they did
the title change, and I'm happy for Adam Cole. You know,
he's obviously he went through a devastating injury and he
had other things going on in his personal life as well.
(48:23):
He said it in the promo here. You know, he
just went through the most difficult year of his life.
So for him, it was a big moment for him
to win the TNT Championship. Came back from back to
back injuries. But he stands here as the champion, and
they stand before you the paragon of professional wrestling, and
that he says, is undisputed. Okay, not a whole lot
(48:51):
to this. I guess We'll have to wait and see
what's going to be next for Adam Cole. From this
we go to TV time. Oh, goodness TV Time with
the now former Ring of Honor World Champion the Learning Tree,
Chris Jericho. Jericho is somber as I was when I
(49:14):
saw that we were getting another TV Time segment here
on the show. Said that on Sunday he lost his match,
he lost his tooth, and he lost his title. It's disappointing,
but he has to give credit words due, says Bandido.
You pulled it off after months of conflict with one
of the greatest wrestlers of all time himself, but he
(49:36):
had the help of an intrusive sister and a stooge
of a mother. He has his family, but so does
Jericho and with that he welcomed out Big Bill and
Brian Keith. They made their way down to the ring.
Jericho said that he would hope that all three of
them would have titles here tonight, but they couldn't win
the tag team titles on Sunday, and Bill cut him off.
He stopped him in mid sentence and he said, I
(49:58):
know what you're going to say. I know you're angry,
and you have every right to be so am I
and Brian Keith tried to stop him from what he
was about to say, and Bill said, no, Jericho needs
to hear this. He said that he has a lot
of respect for Jericho, one of the greatest of all
time and the most decorated champions, one of the most
decorated champions of all time, which is why he decided
(50:21):
to join the Learning Tree in the first place. But
Bill didn't sign up to be Jericho's punching bag when
things go wrong. If he and Keith are out there
for Jericho to teach them, then teach. But if it's
to publicly humiliate them, he says, let me know now
and I'll leave. Bill says he knows Keith feels the
same way. So Jericho says, well, actually, that's not why
(50:45):
I brought you out here. He says, if you thought that,
then I guess you have a lot more to learn
than I thought. He said that he handpicked both of
them to stand by him because he saw the potential
in them, but he was disappointed in them that they
weren't there for him during his match. Some people might
even say that it's their fault that he lost the
ROH World title, but not him. Says, it's okay, I'm
(51:09):
not angry, I'm just disappointed, and then he took his
baseball bat and he proceeded to smash the Jeratron five
thousand knockoff he busted in the screen. He kept smashing
it over and over again, screaming that he's disappointed, says
(51:30):
until they change that maybe it's best that he leaves.
Can I get a Hallelujah? Can I get an amen
in here? It's about time. Don't threaten me with a
good time. Jericho is leaving now. Of course, it just
(51:55):
so happens to be that Fazzi is going back on
tour starting next week through the middle of May for
their twenty fifth anniversary tour, so I'm sure that has
a lot to do with why Jericho is about to
disappear here for a little. There's no coincidence that the
two are coinciding here at the same time. But yes,
Jericho is leaving, so we will not be seeing him
(52:18):
on TV for at least the next month. At least
he put over Bandido, although of course he had a
pin bandido first, but at least he put over Bandido
on his way out. We had some very brief footage
of the five tool player Anthony Bowens, who made his
(52:39):
return on the pre show. He made his return on
the Zero Hour, answering Max Caster's open challenge and beating
him in under a minute. And they announced here that
Bowens will be in action on Collision against Blake Christian,
not Blake Christian. Yes, he will be an action against
(53:00):
Blake Christian on Collision. Boy, I can't wait. Bowens has
a lot of upside though as a babyface. I did
say that on Sunday through all of the rage at
the beginning of the review that he looked great. He's
got new music, you know, he's got a new presentation,
and there is a lot of potential in him on
(53:21):
the babyface side. They should be starting now to really
build him up for a run with the TNT title
later this year, and I hope they do that. And
they close the show with Wheeler Fucking Yudah in the
main event tagging with Claudio Castignoli against Samoa Joe and
Hook representing the Ops. And I'm conflicted here because I'm
(53:48):
all for Samoa Joe being in the main event, but
the tradeoff here is that we had Wheeler Yudah in
the main event, and to me, it's just not worth it.
Hook did the Joe sidestep on a U you to dive.
He's learning see Samoa. Joe was the real learning tree.
So the Death Riders took control ahead of the final break.
Hook tried to mount to comeback, but you to cut
(54:09):
him off with an angle slam. Claudio toyed with Hook
for a little bit and he finally battled out of
the corner with a huge t bone suplex. You to
cut off Joe before the tag, but turned around into
an overhead hook throw. Hook then wanted a tag, but
Joe wasn't there. He was down on the ground outside,
so Claudio flew in with a charging uppercut. We got
(54:31):
a power bomb top roupe clothesline combo from the Death
Riders got a close two count Joe and Claudio. They
brawled on the outside. Joe hit a huge eornagi inside
the ring. Hook applied red rum and now here comes
John Moxley and Moxley gets up on the apron. He's
trying to run interference or distraction here that allows you
(54:53):
to to rake the eyes to break the hold. Moxley
grabbed a chair, but Kotsioris Shabbata sneaks up from behind
him and he applies a rear naked choke to Moxley
in the aisleway. Meanwhile, on another side of the floor outside,
Joe has the sleeper hold of the choke. I guess
it was the choke, not the what did Joe? Oh God,
(55:15):
the Cokina clutch. Joe has the Cokina clutch applied to
Claudio and then inside the ring, Hook applied red rum
on Judah and he got Dah to tap out. At
least that got a good reaction. People were happy that
the Ops got the win. Here now, after the match,
Marina Shafir gets in the ring. She has a chair
and she clips Joe in the back of the knee
(55:35):
with it. Claudia placed the chair opposite end up and
then he took hook and he hit a neutralizer onto
the chair and the death Riders bailed. Joe and Shabbata
made the save with well. I guess they didn't save him,
but they tried to. They cleared the heels from the ring.
They had chairs of their own. Joe was fuming mad,
(55:56):
and Joe got on the mic and he screamed the
way he used to scream Regal name right, he screamed
Death Riders and he said he called them cowardly sons.
Of bitches. So the Ops came to Baltimore to get
into a fistfight, and the Death Riders are acting more
like Dick Riders than to come and fight. Joe wants
to make it very simple. The Ops against the Death
(56:17):
Riders for the aw Trios titles, and that's how they
went off the air. Always nice to see a pissed
off Samoa Joe on my TV. We don't get that enough.
We'll have to see what happens with Pack because again,
what I saw on the show to I didn't look
good at all. As far as how long he'll be
out for, we'll have to wait for that status report.
(56:38):
You know, do they do this match, do they change
the Trios titles before Texas or are they saving everything
for that stadium show. I don't know. I don't know.
And again they have to clear up the situation here.
I Pack is hurt. I don't know that they're taking
the titles yet, they are going to take the titles.
I just don't know that they're going to do it
this quickly. I think they may be involved in things again,
(57:01):
anarchy and the arenas coming up. Seeing they're probably gonna
do blood and guts. We may see the Ops, you know,
be a part of that. Maybe with Swerve and Hangman
against the Death Riders and the Bucks, that seems to
be the kind of the configuration of what they're going
for here, So we'll see. But again, as far as
the death Rider stuff on the whole, nothing has changed
for me. I just can't bring myself to care, you know.
(57:23):
And maybe that'll change, maybe something, there'll be this Eureka
moment or some kind of big shift in the storyline
that'll have me going, oh, okay, you know what, that was
kind of interesting, But that moment was not tonight. And
that explanation from the Young Bucks it may just be
the beginning of a larger explanation. But what we got
tonight was stupid. It was underwhelming. I find this whole
(57:49):
situation to be completely ridiculous. I have no interest in
seeing not only John Moxley continue on with the title,
but the idea of the Young Bucks now trying to
get in bed with the death Riders again. Death is
the operative word here, and that's the idea, Like this
is Tony Kah's idea. The idea here is that people
(58:11):
shouldn't like these guys and they want the baby faces
to get over to such a degree that everybody involved
gets over and when we get the big moment in Texas,
it all in it'll be that much sweeter. And the
issue again is that this storyline just from beginning to
where we are now. I was going to say beginning
to end, but we're not at the end, unfortunately. But
(58:33):
this storyline, you know, for the top storyline in the company,
everything is revolving around the Death Riders. It's just not
cutting it. And so now we're in barely mid April,
still early April, and we have the rest of this month,
we have all of May, we have all of June.
Is going to take us halfway through the summer, and
(58:56):
the storyline just it sucks. It sucks, And so I'm
hoping what I'm clinging to is the idea that this
stuff with Swerve and Hangman is going to be enough
to at least make it mildly interesting, because that's the
aspect that intrigues me independent of the Death Riders. It's
the stuff with Swerve and with Hangman, and maybe that
(59:20):
can help kind of lift it a little bit. But
they're not miracle workers, right, they can only do so much.
They're but a small part here of the overall story,
and as far as the Owenhart tournaments are concerned, that
continues to play out as well. Actually, let me run
down the matches here for Collision this weekend. Jamie Hater
and Billy Starks in the Owen That'll be a win
(59:40):
for Jamie Hater. So we should be getting Jamie and
Chris Statlander in the next round depending on what happens
on the other side of the bracket. If they do
go with a time limit draw on the other side,
then a theoretical match here between Hayter and Statlander would
then become the finals of the tournament. I don't know
if they're going to do. That match is taking place
(01:00:01):
on Saturday. We have Athena against Harley Cameron on the
other side of the bracket. That'll be the final first
round match. Brody King against Kenoski Takeshta that's in the
Men's Own Heart tournament, and then Anthony Bowens takes on
Blake Christian man I can't wait for that one. On Dynamite.
Mercedes Manet is going to be wrestling the winner of
(01:00:23):
the Athena Harley Cameron match from Collision this weekend, and
no surprise there, because Dynamite next week is the big
spring breakthrough show. They're in Boston, so I fully expect
that we're getting Mercedes and Athena in the main event
of next week's show. And I'm still gonna say that
they go to a time limit draw. If they don't
go to a time limit draw, then Mercedes is winning.
(01:00:45):
But I think they go to a time limit draw.
It spares either woman a real loss and then gives
you a reason to run that match back outside of
the tournament. You don't have to send either of these
women to wrestle Tony Storm in Texas. To any Storm
is going to wrestle somebody else. Everything should build to
Mercedes and Athena in Texas, whether it's the first match,
(01:01:06):
the second match, the third match, that's what they should
be building to. They don't have to win this tournament.
We don't need champion against champion. We don't need the
TBS champion against the aw Women's World Champion, especially not
when we're gonna get the International Championship probably Merge and Unified,
or it should be with the Continental title. You don't
(01:01:27):
need to do that twice on the same show. There's
no need for it. So even if Mercedes manages to
find her way in the finals of this thing, she's
gonna lose. I don't know that she should lose until
Athena beats her, so we'll see how that shakes out.
But that's the only thing so far announced for Dynamite
next week. That episode, as I mentioned, will officially pass
(01:01:48):
Monday Nightro for total episodes. It's a completely meaningless stat
Tony Khan is going to talk it up on social media.
As I said a few weeks ago, it's really not
a big deal where people should be bent out of
shape about it. I know everybody's gonna be like, oh,
you know he's gloating about this, and you know, Dynamite
does half the ratings that Nitro did, and you know
(01:02:11):
it'll never be what it doesn't have the influence that night.
All that may be true. It's a promoter promoting a milestone.
It's a promoter promoting something for his company. So I
don't have any issue with him tweeting about it or
gloating about it, or them creating some sort of celebration
for it. For all we know, it's something that Warner
Brothers Discovery wants them to do. I don't really care,
(01:02:35):
but you're gonna see that discourse over the next week.
Oh believe me. Next week you're gonna hear a lot
of that. There's gonna be a lot of people going,
what are they celebrating? What's there to celebrate? Again, it's
a promoter promoting his company, and for them it's a milestone.
Nitro had two hundred and eighty eight episodes. Now they're
gonna have two hundred and eighty nine. And you know
what's gonna happen the following week. It's gonna be two
(01:02:57):
hundred and ninety. And I don't give a fuck. As
long as they give us a good show, that's all
I want. I don't care if it's the two hundred
and eighty ninth episode. I don't care if it's the
one thousand, eighty ninth episode. Just give me a good show.
That's all I care about. Today's episode is sponsored by Hymns. Guys,

What did you think of the post Dynasty edition of
Dynamite eighteen percent thumbs up, nineteen percent thumbs in the
(01:05:29):
middle in a whopping sixty two point four percent thumbs down.
Doesn't look like people like this show. I don't disagree
with them. I think for a follow up to Dynasty,
it was not a great show. Let's take a look
(01:05:49):
at your superchats here. Let me go back here and
start with death scythe as a superchat here about Jeff
Hardy says, Jeff Hardy will always be my favorite wrestler,
but I guarantee he's gonna end up with his own
dark side of the ring one day between his house
(01:06:11):
burning down, multiple suspensions, arrests, Victory Road, take your pick. Look,
I hope that he stays on the straight and narrow
and has a happy ending. But you could certainly fill
an entire episode of incidents for Dark Side of the
(01:06:31):
Ring if you wanted to. That's not even everything we have.
Jerome Eugenio says Happy Wednesday to all, Happy Wednesday. Jerome
the Moldy Cheeseburger says, fuck it. If no one will
do it, then I will. I will defeat John Moxley
(01:06:53):
for the aw world title. You can all thank me
because this dork rider's gimmick sucks. He says, well, you
know what, I am off of the moldy cheeseburger winning
the championship. I'm fine with that. Actually, my stomach is
(01:07:15):
legitimately killing me. I think I had a moldy cheeseburger
tonight tonight. I don't know what it is. Dark Effect,
thank you for breaking in the brand new thirty two
dollars Charlotte Flair Squawk super Chat. That segment was an
(01:07:37):
all timer, he says, add it to the list of
Charlotte horrible segments. Much respect and love to you, brother Solo,
Dark Effect, thank you for breaking in the new one.
I appreciate the love, and yes it was pretty horrible.
He also gifted ten memberships. Do you believe this guy?
(01:08:00):
You know that's worthy of an airhorn? Right? Ten new
members gifted just like that. Thanks the Dark Effect. We
did break our our likes goal, by the way, so
we will be doing be the booker here in a
little bit. Let's see if we can get those likes
up closer to five hundred before we get out here.
(01:08:22):
Chris Young, with a twenty dollars super chat says, I
love you, Solo. I love you too, brother. I hope
you're having a good night. Don't eat any moldy cheeseburgers.
Tuxedot Servo, thank you as well for the thirty two
(01:08:46):
Arabian Night. Is that true? Is there a report that
you can link me to? Says Stand and Deliver ticket
sales this year are awful. They may have to move venues. Well,
I can only imagine how much of those tickets are.
And they're doing it the same day as Wrestlemedia, which
I think is incredibly stupid. I don't know why they
insist on doing that. Tuxedot service, says Aw and I
(01:09:12):
are currently in counseling and taking time away from each other,
but I will still tune in for the review. Well,
as long as you're here, that's all that matters. I
will keep you in the loop on what's going on.
Mister Rod with the twenty had a late shift tonight
(01:09:35):
and good thing I missed it. But thank god for
Sola Monster for keeping me covered. You the man, I
always got you covered, you know that, good, bad, or indifferent,
I always got you covered here man, Ej Slim I
got the job. Ugh, that's great news. Yes, yes, yes,
(01:09:56):
you know. Ej told us the other night that he
had a job interview, and I told him, I said, brother,
you're gonna you're gonna, You're gonna do fine, says I
got the job. I am now a tech rep and
doing club fittings at different Chicago golf courses for I
don't know how to say that, but he says the
Brett Hart of golf Equipment. Well then it must be
(01:10:20):
the best. Well, congrats you, Jay, I'm very happy for you.
That is great news. Aser Tonight we got the death
Riders and the Bucks and Jericho. How blessed are we tonight?
(01:10:41):
I think that sums it up pretty well. Casey is raw.
They did it for Hangman, they did it for the people.
Bobby's World would have sent this on Monday, but my
Internet thank you to you and those of you in
(01:11:03):
the chat who sent birthday wishes to my girlfriend Kate.
Today is my oldest son's birthday, twenty two. Well, you
didn't tell me his name, but I'm wishing him a
very happy birthday. And tell Kate I hope she had
a great birthday as well. Number one, almost Sapien, what
(01:11:26):
do you call a bear with no teeth? A gummy bear?
Thank you, almost Sapien. Bobby's World says Solo to answer
your question from Monday. Neither Kate nor I stayed up
for Dynasty the Dynasty review, but I did play your
opening rant for her as well as the ill fated
(01:11:47):
but very fitting be the booker that night. Oh my god,
that was an all timer, like that be the booker
that we did on Sunday night or I guess Monday
morning was so fitting for that review. It was awful.
Chris Ludek says that you said it best. Tony only
(01:12:10):
books for the sickos on the internet, and that's why
the product is dead. He can't book for the masses.
Once this TV deal is up, AAW is done, they
will not get renewed. I wouldn't go that far. Warner
Brothers Discovery obviously likes what they see in AW, or
else they would not have renewed them in the first place.
(01:12:32):
A lot of people have been predicting the demise of
AW for a very long time, and whatever you think
about the death writers and the creative and the weekly
shows and all that, they're not going anywhere and nobody
should be hoping for I'm not saying you're doing this,
but there are people out there who wish death upon AAW,
which is beyond idiotic. Nobody with a brain is wishing
(01:12:57):
for the death of AW who actually care, who consider
themselves wrestling fans, not just AW fans, but wrestling fans.
They want to see AW succeed, which is why they
get so animated and fucking pissed off like I do
when you get shit like this that sucks and isn't
very good because they have the talent to do it.
(01:13:20):
The talent is right there. The talent pool is so rich,
and so the people who care, those are the ones.
They care too much, maybe, but they care, you know,
because they know they could be doing so much better.
If they didn't care, they wouldn't give a shit, you know.
It's that kind of passion. But to say that, you know,
well they're gonna get canceled, or the other people saying
(01:13:42):
they should get canceled, they're not getting canceled. Ge Barry
free Man, I really wish we got Darby against Brian.
I think losing out on that match is what started
to sour me on this garbage angle. Bobby's world and
(01:14:03):
let me finally say rest in peace. Kevin Castle I
was a TV tracks guy as well, was into the
DTKC show for a bit. I would always pop when
he dropped in on your anniversary streams. Seemed like a
hell of a guy. He will be missed, Yeah, he was,
and he was a big supporter and fan of the show.
(01:14:24):
I remember he called in. It was a SoundOff six hundred,
did a live stream on YouTube, a live sound off
episode six hundred that was twenty nineteen. I think I
know he called into that show and was always very supportive.
And again it's a very very sad situation. Ozen Glorias says,
(01:14:50):
I'm no SICKO. AW has lots of issues, but the
AW is dying commentary is beyond parody. Aw's worst episode
is still better than watching a logan Paul and Tony Hinchcliff. Yeah,
they had Hingecliff on Raw Monday night to do commentary
for one of the matches, and I just I've never
(01:15:10):
found him funny. I really don't see what the appeal
is there, Like he actively dragged down the segment Doctor
Scorpios is fighting for four hundred thousand dollars. Sounds like
something you see on Be the Booker, but better and entertaining.
Be the Booker? You mean, is better and more entertaining. Yeah,
(01:15:34):
that's not one of the stipulations. I have n't be
the Booker. Maybe I should add it. Maybe I should
add a stipulation that the winner of the match gets
five million dollars. Casey is ross is? Is that one
hundred thousand dollars tax free or do those wrestlers have
to pay taxes on it? Lol? Arwin R Shyster is
(01:15:57):
going to pay them a visit. Earlwin R Shyster is
hang me a visit next week. I'm not looking forward
to it. But such as the price of success, I
guess Oz and Glory is on a scale of one
to ten, ten being the most intense. Will the meltdown
(01:16:19):
be on Twitter and YouTube? If Jack Perry is the
wild card and beats Hangman, It's not gonna happen though,
because that would mean that we get Kyle Fletcher and
Jack Perry in the next round, which this doesn't make
any sense to me. So even if Jack Perry is
(01:16:41):
the wild card, I'm fairly certain that Jack Perry wouldn't
win the match. But then again, you know what, after
what I saw on Sunday night, I guess you can't
rule it out, can you? I guess you can't rule
it out, bas ARUs. What were Caine's first words? Should
(01:17:02):
I do the voice? Socket? Socket, suck it ball, suck
it hard. There you go, Caine's first words. I'm paraphrasing,
of course, Groovy Goose. With thirty six months of Channel membership.
(01:17:26):
Can Moxley start a band and go away to do
a tour too? Thanks for the streams, Solid Modster, I'd
be okay with that. What would he call the band?
He can call them the Death Writers, maybe the Death Riders.
Can they could convert into a musical band and they
could take their act on tour and not be on
the show. I like that. Can Moxley start a band
(01:17:54):
and go away to do a tour? I think that's
the best idea I've heard all night. Arabian Night says
Joe's got no place in aw He's got to go
back to WWE under Triple H and be used in
the Bloodline arc or just as a killer. He has
(01:18:17):
done nothing since losing to Swerve Me. He just made
have vented the show tonight. I'm hopeful that's a sign
that they will start to do more with him. I
would love to see Joe get one more shot in
WWE under somebody who I think actually better appreciates what
(01:18:37):
he brings to the table, because I do think that
Triple H would have more of an appreciation for Joe
than Vince McMahon ever did so. I agree, I would
like to see it happen. I don't know if it will,
but I would like to see it. Alex with the
(01:18:59):
twenty five super Chant, says Tony Kahn. I'm gonna let
you finish destroying your own company. But Sina is making
an appearance on the last SmackDown before WrestleMania. Overall the
best news from today. Much love Solo. Yeah, they finally
added him to one more show. They're already going to
be in Vegas for SmackDown, that last SmackDown before Mania,
(01:19:21):
so he and Cody will be on that show together.
Better than nothing. I guess still not gonna be on
Raw next Monday, though. Uh. Doctor Scorpio, three more months
of the Mudline and Max Hogan bro I think all
of these groups just need to be blown to smithereens
(01:19:43):
the blood Line or what's left of the Bloodline, the
Death Riders, the Judgment Day is just a fucking shell
of what it used to be. Let's just blow them
all up. Seriously, can we blow them all up and
just start over again? Can we do that? Nor It says,
thank you for always being here. You have gotten me
through some tough times and more. Please don't go anywhere.
(01:20:08):
I mean, I'll be here. I'm not planning on going
anywhere anytime soon, so I'll be here. Thank you. Nord
the Data and Boys podcast. I went when they came
to Fresno the night after Revolution, and it was one
of the worst shows I've ever been to. Now this,
(01:20:28):
I'm done with this pissant company. Alex says he's gonna
test his joke skills. Now, can we expect Wardlow to
become champion? After all? In that's a pretty big joke
right there. I was going to say something earlier about
(01:20:53):
like where this MJF thing could potentially be going, you know,
is this a way to reintroduce Wardlow? Like he reckons
with Wardlow and they go after the tag team titles
against the Hurt Syndicate. But then I stopped myself and
I said, am I really going to make the suggestion
that Wardlow might be coming back soon? Give me a break.
He's still locked away in the dungeons somewhere. Uffman Entertainment
(01:21:19):
forty eight months of channel membership. It's four to ten
happy Brett hart Day also forty eight months, babe, four
years in counting. That's right, Ufman is if he's not
the leader, he's definitely up there, Buffman. Thank you. By
the way, it's four to ten. You know what that means.
(01:21:41):
It was one year ago on this date that Tony
Kahan aired the Brawl in footage with CEM Punk and
Jack Perry, one of the more embarrassing things that he
has ever done. And notably, that was also the last
time the Dynamite and granted this was before they started
streaming on Max, but that was the last time Dynamite
(01:22:02):
did eight hundred thousand viewers. They have not come anywhere
close to that since then. Bas bears what would have
been a more reasonable money prize? How about no money prize?
(01:22:23):
How about that? And Matt Fisher just got here. I
assume their explanation sucked. Yes it did. You didn't miss
much as far as that goes. I'm sorry to say so. Yeah,
it's been it's been one year since c I'm Punk
(01:22:45):
last made an appearance on AW Dynamite how about that?
And Matt Fisher with another four ninety nine says I
realize it's AW day. But no demolition or Shamrock this year?
Oh the Hall of Fame? Yeah, you know, yeah, the
demolition thing. I've just I've given up Shamrock will go in.
(01:23:09):
Shamrock may be there this year. I mean I could
see him maybe see I don't know what they're doing
as far as like the match, the Brett Hart Steve
Austin match, are they're going to have like a formal
speech to introduce both men onto the stage, Like, I
don't know what the format of that is going to be.
If it is, though, I think Shamrock would make sense
to be the inductor because he was part of that match.
(01:23:30):
Shamrock getting his own induction I think will happen, especially
now that he's kind of back in the family. He's
got a Legends deal, so like that's but then again,
so does Demolition and they didn't go in this year either.
They did announce today, by the way, three Legacy inductees,
one of which is Kamala. I talked about Kamala a
few weeks ago. There were rumors that he would be
(01:23:50):
going into the Hall of Fame, and you know, his
family had reached a deal for him to be inducted.
But he's going in as a member of the Legacy,
and traditionally the Legacy wing they just kind of throw
you in there. You don't get any sort of you know,
there's no speech, there's no nothing formal. It's just like, Okay,
(01:24:10):
we want to put a bunch of people in and
just briefly acknowledge them and move on. So he's not
even getting like a real induction, but he he will
be a part of the Legacy Wing. Oh gosh, I
even coll Off, I just I just talked about him.
Somebody sent in a question a few weeks ago on
the sound of why is he not in the Hall
of Fame, And I said, I don't know. It confounds me.
(01:24:34):
So now he's going in, but he's going in as
part of the Legacy Wing. And who was the third name?
Let me double check. The third name just popped out
of my head. Let me see it was Kamala. It
was Ivan cole Off. Okay, Dory Funk's scene Dory Funks
(01:25:02):
Senior also going into the Legacy Wing. No celebrity inductions,
which is fine with me. Honestly. I wonder if the
induction of Matches into the Hall of Fame effectively is
replacing the celebrity induction. I'm totally fine with that if
that's what they're gonna do. Yeah, Tuxedo says, if Kamala
(01:25:25):
showed up to give a speech that would surprise a
lot of people. It would, it would, but traditionally in
the past they've had family members show up to accept.
Smart ass. Kimch it's right, Kim, she would have to
do the induction. Bass Beers says, Punk's AW run or
(01:25:47):
his current WWE run. You know, the punkin MacIntire stuff
was great. But in AW I mean even from the
first match he had when he came in to wrestle Darby,
and then the stuff with Eddie Kingston and then the
program in the two matches with MJF. You know, there
(01:26:07):
was a lot of good stuff in there. And I
would even say more good stuff from an in ring perspective, more,
you know, in ring stuff that I think was of
a higher quality than what we've gotten out of him
in WWE so far. That will change probably as time
goes on and he starts to work with this person
and that person. I would give the edge honestly to
(01:26:30):
his AW run even still, and Matt says, is Harvey
Whippleman still alive downtown Bruno of course, absolutely, yeah, I was.
In the last few years. He was gifted a car,
a new car by the Rock because when the Rock
(01:26:53):
was getting his start. I think Bruno. What is the
story with Bruno? Bruno gave either him a place to
stay or let him use his car. I forgot exactly
what it was, but he was very helpful to the
Rock early in his career. Rock never forgot that. So yeah,
Rock bought him a car a few years ago. He
(01:27:16):
bought Tamena a car too. He bought his mom a car.
He didn't buy me a car. I don't know why.
And Matt says, is Jack Perry forever banished could be?
Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Thank you
(01:27:40):
for all of the messages here. We are closing in
slowly but surely on five hundred likes. We still got
some work to do there for sixty seven, but we
did hit the goal. We are currently too short of
the Superchat goal for a bonus be the booker. We're
eight out of ten on that so I don't know
if we're going to do that, but we do have
(01:28:02):
one round to go, so let's get into it. Let's
be the booker. Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time
to be the booker. We are going to get at
least this one round. Let's hope that it's a good one.
Maybe it could be better than Dynamite tonight. Well, not
(01:28:27):
with the picks like this, it won't be. We begin
with Braun Strobin and Nicholas nine year old Nicholas, the
former tag team champions of the world, kicking us off
here and be the booker. They're going to be defending
(01:28:50):
those tag team titles against the Briscoes, Jay and Mark.
I need to see Jay give a j driller to Nicholas.
If he gives Nicholas a Jay driller, then it's all
It's all worth it. It's all worth it. Nicholas is
(01:29:15):
now how old? I mean, do the math if he
was nine years old? That was what twenty eighteen. Say
if he was nine in twenty eighteen, So so what
is he now? Fifteen? All right, women's be the oh
(01:29:36):
I just I see we're up to nine. I have
to unpause these in a second and see where you
are nine out of ten on the goal. Women's be
the booker. Mako Sata Mora, she's having her retirement match
in these next two weeks. I think I think it's
(01:29:58):
like the uh it the twenty ninth, it's coming up soon.
I think maybe the end of the month. She's wrestling
her final match after a thirty year career. Mako Sonamora. Okay,
so apparently Nicholas is sixteen years old, so you still
can't drive yet. Oh well, actually, mate, no, no, he
(01:30:23):
probably can. He can't vote, he can't vote, and he
can't drink, but he could probably drive. And you don't
want to be drinking and driving or voting in driving.
You want to be driving and driving. Keep your eyes
on the road. Mako Satamora is going to be taking
on Sonya Deville. M m how are we feeling about this?
(01:30:49):
How are we feeling about this? That last run that
Sonya had not good? Give me some feedback here, because
I'm leaning towards a buzz thumbs down. I'm seeing a
lot of I'm seeing a lot of thumbs down here.
(01:31:11):
That's a ding buzz. But yeah, okay, it just confirms
how I felt I needed a little bit of guidance
on this and this This looks like it may be
our final match here, so let's try to make it
a good one. The main event, the main event of
(01:31:33):
the evening, and we are starting with Kevin Nash from
his wolf Pack days in WCW. This is Wolfpack. Kevin Nash.
Is he gonna have his working boots on tonight? That's
the question. Is Big Sexy gonna want to work tonight
(01:31:56):
and take some bumps? Let's find out. Kevin Nash one
on one with the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns. You know
(01:32:18):
there's a lot of star power in that match, the
battle between two former WWE champions. I gotta give it
the bell, Roman Reigns and Kevin Nash. Kevin Nash is
eating a superman punch and a spear and he'll do
(01:32:40):
the job. And you know why, because the paycheck is
all the same, and as long as he gets paid,
I don't think he's gonna care much. And I do see,
ladies and gentlemen, that we have unlocked. We have unlocked
(01:33:02):
round number two of be the Booker. We have hit
the goal ten out of ten. We did two out
of three on that round, so we get another round
now would be the Booker, and as we usually do,
is going to be chock full of stipulations. No four
(01:33:24):
hundred thousand dollars paydays. Though, We're going to pick some
steps and do one more round here for you guys,
because you have unlocked it. Let's pick a stipulation for
our first match here. I always love it when we
get a double be the booker. Isn't it great you
get a double shot? Hell in a Cell? Tag Team
(01:33:47):
Helen is stuck because we're starting with tag teams. Tag
Team Helen a Cell. Let's see we don't get to
see two many of these. There have been a few.
The Heart Foundation, Brett the Hitman, Heart and Jim the
(01:34:08):
Anvil Nighthart are going to be in their first ever
Hell in a Cell match. This is already a winner.
Aaron says, I first listened to you at ten in
twenty ten. I just turned twenty five. Wow, twenty ten,
(01:34:31):
I was three years into this. Aaron's one of the
ogs man. I didn't realize Aaron went back that far.
That's awesome. Heart Foundation, Hurt's my soul against Big Show
(01:34:52):
and Cain inside Hell in his Cell. I'm gonna give
it the bell because it's it's the Heart Foundation, okay,
and they're they're my second favorite tag team of all time,
and it's Brett and so you know it's not gonna
be a bad match. It's not gonna be a bad match.
(01:35:16):
This also if you look at the image here. This
is not authority era Cane and Big Show. This predates
the If it was the Authority era, I might have
gone a different way on this. Brett versus Kane, Well,
Brett Brett wrestled Kane. He just wasn't Kane at the time,
but he wrestled him at a summer slim. Don't forget
(01:35:41):
all right, we gave that the Bell Women's time Women's
be the booker a casket match, the first time we
are booking a women's Has there ever been a women's
casket match? I don't know that there has been. Maybe
in TNA, I mean like in WWE. I don't recall. No,
(01:36:06):
I don't think there. River has interesting. Well, that all
changes tonight. Oscar Oscar is gonna be burying some fool,
putting her in the ground, putting her in the dirt
here in this match, where the hell is Oscar? By
(01:36:29):
the way, she's been gone for too long. We need
Oscar back on TV. Osca in a casket match against Carmela,
a former SmackDown Women's champion. I can make that work.
(01:36:50):
I can make that work. In a good spot on
my card, Oscar killing people and sticking him in caskets.
I mean, what's not to like. Osca is building her
dream house. Oscar's building an arcade. She's actually building like
this giant arcade that's gonna take a few years. I
(01:37:12):
think she said to finish, and she invited Stephanie the
care to come play in her arcade. She's been following
Stephanie's career. She's been very impressed, and she has an
open standing invitation to Stephanie to come to her arcade
and play with her. I hope they've vlogged that if
they do that, because Oscar has a YouTube channel, Kanna
was it kana chan TV. I hope they've logged it
(01:37:36):
and they put it on there when it happens. All right,
now we need a step for our main event, and
then we're good to go. What are we gonna do here?
So many stipulations to choose from. We land on and
oh god, Brawl for All. We're going back to nineteen
(01:37:56):
ninety eight, boys and girls. We're going back to the
Brawl for All. Brawl. This is a Russo special. Well,
this is gonna be very interesting depending on who we
land on here. We did a couple of tough guys here.
That's what we need, otherwise this could go very badly.
(01:38:21):
Bo Dallas is going to be in a brawl for
all match. Yeah, Bo Dallas in a brawl for all match.
It's he known to be a tough guy. Bo Dallas
(01:38:42):
and Nigel McGinnis in a brawl for all match. We
have officially been Russo. Vince Russo has struck again. All right,
let's take a look at your superchats here. We had
(01:39:03):
some more that came in. I want to make sure
I get to everybody. Bred Hart. I remember that stream
that you did after IVN call Off won the title
from San Martino. Controversial night because they never announced the winner.
You got a lot of superchats that night in nineteen
seventy one, at least. Yeah, it was a decent night.
(01:39:26):
It was a decent knight. You know what people were
like spamming the eight dollar Gorgeous George superchat. They really
enjoyed that one. I've retired that one since then, but yes,
the eight dollar Gorgeous George superchat was very popular that night.
Good times, RDS Harry. I wonder if Kurt Angle never
(01:39:48):
left WWE in two thousand and six. If you think
he would have been ECW champion that year instead of
Bobby Lashley. I think the goal was always to build
Lashly up. Whether or not Vince would have put the
title on Kurt and had Bobby beat Kurt, I think
that's a very real possibility, so I'm gonna say yes.
But the goal was always to try to make Bobby
(01:40:11):
Lashley into a big deal and power spying games. I
don't remember twenty eleven canaan big show as the champions.
I don't remember it either. Honestly, that whole era of
like late two thousands into the early twenty tens, like
so much of that shit is just a fucking blur
for me, honestly. A Jay Shudo forty four, I just
(01:40:37):
don't see the young bucks as talent that you can
build a company around. They don't have the it factor.
Keep up the great work. Yeah, I'm I'm just you know,
they've been gone for several months and yet they just
came back and I'm already like, eh, I'm just I'm
over it. I'm just over it. It does nothing for me.
(01:41:00):
Number one almost sapien Omas against Tangaloa in a brawl
for all hmm Toangaloa superfan is not gonna be very
happy about that. You know, Tangaloa superfan would be like
it would be like in the Rocky movie where poor Togaloa,
he would be on the ropes. You know he's still standing,
but like you know, the lights are on, but nobody's
(01:41:22):
home and port Togaloa superfan would be like throwing the
damn towel. He'd be throwing the towel into the ring.
Tangaloa does the slow fall face first down on the mat,
fucking twitching on the mat, and everything be awful. Your
brain has blocked it out as a self defense mechanism.
(01:41:44):
I guess as you hear Lebron James has his own
ken doll. I did hear about that. I saw the
photos too, Yes, yes, Like Rocky and Clever Lang, Tongaloa
san he would be traumatized anyway, Thank you guys for
a fun stream here tonight and all the support. I
(01:42:06):
do appreciate it. Even when we have some of these
bad TV shows, it makes it all worth it. Hopefully
we won't have a bad TV show on Friday. There
have been a lot of bad TV shows on Friday.
SmackDown has not exactly been light in the world on
fire for a while, but hopefully we'll have a good
one on Friday, second to last SmackDown before WrestleMania. That
is the next time I will be live with you
(01:42:28):
right here on YouTube, and don't forget to go back
and check out the stream from Monday night. You could
check out TNT with myself and jd Over on his channel.
We had a great discussion last night episode nine oh
eight of the sound off from this past weekend, and
then we have nine oh nine coming up this weekend.
I just watched the Vader episode of Dark Side of
the Ring, so I'll put some notes together and I'll
(01:42:51):
have a full recap on that this weekend as well.
Coming off the Ludwig Borga episode last week. This week
was all about Big Van Vader, another member of the
wrestling fraternity, gone too soon, so we'll be talking about
that as well. Be well, stay safe. Thank you all
once again for all the support, and I will see
(01:43:12):
you right back here for more sounduff on YouTube on
Friday night. Until then, hit that like button and I
will see you there. Take care, guys,
