چین: سلسله سونگ (1279-960 میلادی)
چین بعد از فروپاشی سلسله تانگ در 907 میلادی، به مدت 53 سال دچار هرج و مرج و حکومت «پنج سلسله» شد. اما نهایتاً در سال 960 میلادی سلسله سونگ تأسیس شد. این سلسله با رویکرد صلح‌گرا و بیش از سه قرن با ثبات بر چین حکومت کرد. امپراتوری چین در این دوره شاهد رشد و شکوفایی فرهنگ و هنر، اقتصاد و علوم بود. روایت پیدایش و تحولات عصر این سلسله در این قسمت از پادکست ارائه شده است.
