(00:10):
Hello, everyone. My name is Vito Qualia. I'm the host of A Matter of Principle.
And as we get ready to record the 20th episode of the podcast,
I wanted to take time to let you know how it started and where we're headed.
I have 32 years in education, 25 of those as a principal.
I've coached, taught, and served as a building administrator for quite some time.

(00:30):
And over that time, I've had the privilege of meeting and working with hundreds
of really tremendous people, not
to mention the thousands of students I've gotten to know over the years.
So we started the podcast, A Matter of Principle, Lessons Learned After Three
Decades of Schooling, as a way to share the stories of some of those people
that I've met along my way, my journey,

(00:51):
to celebrate what they've accomplished, to elevate some of the causes that they stand for,
and to ultimately just share their stories and their journeys.
With the success of the Wednesday shows, the fact that people are listening,
we decided to add a Friday, special Friday episode, Football Fridays,
where we talk with folks about football, high school football,

(01:13):
professional football.
We've talked with coaches, players, and just some folks that like football and
really like to talk about it. So that's been pretty fun.
In the future, we're going to have Music Monday, a special episode on Mondays
where we talk to folks about music, people who teach music in schools.
Folks who play music professionally, some radio personalities talk about music

(01:35):
there, and also just some other guests who love music and love to talk about
it. So that'll be coming up in the near future.
We started the podcast basically as a way to have folks come on and talk with
us about things they've learned in school, sports, and leadership,
really with a heavy influence on the leadership.
Started it because we felt in 2024, there's a need for quality leaders out there.

(01:58):
So we wanted to celebrate the leadership accomplishment of our guests,
but also share stories of how we've all been influenced by people in our lives
who have been good leaders and to make maybe decide and define what good leadership
is and have discussions about that.
So it's been a great, great amount of fun so far on A Matter of Principle.
And we wanted to just let you know what's coming in the future.

(02:20):
So stay tuned on Wednesday for a new content every Wednesday and also Friday
football special episodes there.
And then coming soon, we'll be having those Music Monday episodes.
So thank you so much for listening.
We enjoy putting this on for you and stay tuned.
Music.
