Melanie Hempe, RN, is the founder and executive director of ScreenStrong, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating and equipping families to prevent and reverse screen addiction in children. Drawing from her background in nursing and her powerful personal journey as a mother, Melanie turned heartbreak into hope after witnessing the devastating effects of video game addiction in her own home.
Now a national voice on screen dependency, Melanie speaks across the country, trains ambassadors, and develops science-backed resources to help parents raise tech-smart, emotionally resilient kids. Her work has been featured in schools, churches, and homeschool communities, and she’s especially passionate about reaching families in the early years—when the right choices make all the difference.
