In „Anarchistische Ökologien“ geht Milo Probst der Frage nach, wie es möglich sein kann, unsere Erde respektvoll zu bewohnen und gleichzeitig in Freiheit, Gleichheit und Solidarität zu leben. Dafür hat er sich auf eine Spurensuche im historischen Anarchismus gemacht und zeigt nicht nur auf, dass ökologische Ideen in den sozialistischen Bewegungen des 19. und Anfang 20. Jahrhunderts verhandelt wurden, sondern auch welche Ideen das waren und wie sie verhandelt wurden – denn das unterschied sich dann doch oft von dem, wie wir Ökologie, Klima und Umwelt heute diskutieren.

Im Gespräch haben wir darüber gesprochen wie politisierte Naturverhältnisse mit Eigentum, Technik und Globalisierung zusammen hängen und wie Anarchist:innen zu ihrer Zeit von herrschenden Vorstellung von Natur und Land geprägt waren. Dabei schauen wir auf die Internationale Arbeiter Assoziation, auf Technikoptimismus und Kolonialität in Argentinien.
Milo Probst ist 1991 in Basel geboren, promovierte 2022 an der Universität Basel über Umweltkritik im Anarchismus des ausgehenden 19. Jahrhunderts und anbrechenden 20. Jahrhunderts. 2021 erschien sein Buch „Für einen Umweltschutz der 99%“. Aktuell forscht er in Berlin über die Geschichte von Frauen in der bundesdeutschen und italienischen Ökologiebewegung der 1970er- und 1980er Jahre.
