This week we discuss the best of Robin Williams.

Robin McLaurin Williams (July 21, 1951 – August 11, 2014) was an American actor and comedian known for his improvisational skills and the wide variety of characters he created spontaneously and portrayed in drama and comedy films.

Williams is regarded as one of the greatest comedians of all time.

He received numerous accolades including an Academy Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, six Golden Globe Awards, five Grammy Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Williams was awarded the Cecil B. DeMille Award in 2005.

Before we deep dive into Robin's career we discuss several things:

  • What life would be like as an empty nester.
  • What lurks beneath your teenage children's beds.
  • Why leaving coins in your car can lead to bad jokes.
  • And why walking into someone's house without knocking is a big no no.

Edit - we mentioned the wrong web address for the blog the Scotsman used to write. It is www.adadslife.com.au

Mid way through the discussion around Patch Adams the Scotsman tells us a story about seeing someone hit by a tram triggering some powerful memories

We work our way through William's biography starting with his TV on Mork and Mindy to his film roles in The World According to Garp, Moscow on the Hudson, Good Morning Vietnam, Mrs Doubtfire, Cadillac Man, The Birdcage, Insomnia, One Hour Photo, Night at the Museum, Dead Poets Society and Good Will Hunting
