Episode Five Show Notes and Sources
Riots (This recording was edited after initial publishing on August 19, 2025 because of some audio glitches)
(Sorry it took so long to get this one out, my cat died and our entire province is on fire. We recorded this over a month ago before the major riots in LA and other US cities started. We mention Her Majesty's Penitentiary in this episode and how there have been talks to replace it for over ten years with no progress. Days after we recorded this episode, they announced they were finally breaking ground to build the replacement due to be complete in 2029.)

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
