An incredible conversation with Olympian Joe Jacobi.
Joe is an American former slalom canoeist who competed from the mid-1980s to the mid-2000s. Competing in two Summer Olympics, he won a gold medal in the C2 event at Barcelona in 1992.
This episode is recorded from his home in La Seu d'Urgell, Catalonia, Spain. Joe shares fantastic life evolutions by virtue of being there. As well as sharing beautiful stories about his family, struggles and triumphs.
Moving to Catalonia was not about reliving or associating really with the success of having won the Olympics many, many years ago. Joe shares why he loves being there for many reasons. We hear his life story from being born and raised in Washington DC, and how his love of love of nature began there, learning to paddle from a young age. Joe's insights are golden and his passion for his sport is very clear throughout our Beautiful Mess conversation. I loved every moment of this!!!

Are You A Charlotte?
In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
