Isn't "mindfulness" some kind of New Age voodoo craziness??
The short answer is NO. The long answer is, well, in the episode ;)
Be sure to tune in to hear why mindfulness is critical for believers, especially new moms.
Hey, I’m Courtney - a mom, wife, Jesus-lovin’ dog owner who is trained in spiritual direction. I love being with people, working out, and spending time with Jesus. After giving birth during the craziness of 2020 (#iykyk), I found myself isolated, overwhelmed, and unsure of how to move forward. Turns out my old ways of operating (in faith, fitness, marriage, friendships, homemaking...ALL the things) weren’t sustainable within the context of motherhood.
If you’re ready to come up for air, mama, know that you can experience rest *and* peace in your motherhood! Say goodbye to overwhelm and hello to balance and freedom.
Go ahead and throw some ice in your tea or coffee (before it gets cold again 😉) and get ready to dive in.
PS - If a particular practice blesses you at any point, be sure to share in our Facebook group “Living Like Jesus.”
No shame, no overwhelm - just women of faith coming together to encourage each other and pursue Christlikeness in marriage and motherhood.

Cardiac Cowboys
The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
