1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 (CSB) reminds us to rejoice always, pray constantly, and give thanks in everything. Paul wrote this to people who were facing real challenges, and he reminded them that gratitude isn’t about pretending things are perfect—it’s about remembering that God is still good.
Gratitude is like a switch. When you choose it, joy lights up. Even on tough days, God helps you notice the good—small blessings, kind moments, and reminders that He is close.
So today, try this: name three things you’re thankful for. Then thank God for being near—because He always is.
Remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you.
