September 7th: How to Protect God’s Wisdom Like Your Eyes | Kids Devotional Carpooling with Jesus

We’re continuing our Proverbs for Your School Life series—daily truth from the same book of wisdom Jesus studied and memorized as a kid.

Today’s verse is one of those powerful ones that helps us protect what matters most: 👉 Proverbs 7:2 (CSB) “Keep my commands and live; protect my teachings as you would the pupil of your eye.”

💡 What does that mean?

• The pupil is the center of your eye—super sensitive and automatically protected.

• Solomon is saying: guard God’s wisdom the same way you guard your eyes—without hesitation.

• If you lose it or ignore it, your view of life gets blurry real fast.

✅ In this episode, kids will learn:

• What it means to take God’s Word seriously

• Why protecting God’s wisdom helps us live well, not just “stay alive”

• Why Jesus didn’t just follow God’s commands—He lived them out

• How to guard your heart like you guard your phone, your games, or your face during soccer practice ⚽

1. Treat God’s Word like your eyes—precious and protected

2. Pay attention to what’s going into your mind—music, jokes, videos, conversations

3. Memorize one verse this week—keep wisdom at the front of your mind
