Hour 1 – Ed Kalegi talks with Rebecca Lafferty. Rebecca carried the scars of her traumatic upbringing through childhood and into adulthood. But most of all, she carried the horror of learning about the cold-blooded murder of her aunt and infant cousin in 1984, perpetrated by her father Dan and uncle Ron according to a revelation Ron had received. She talks about it and her journey in her new memoir: “The Lafferty Girl: Surviving Trauma, Abuse, and My Father’s Crimes.” Plus, Ed talks with author Jennifer O’Callaghan about her new book: “Rear Window: The Making of a Hitchcock Masterpiece in the Hollywood Golden Age.” And Ed and Caryn each confess their worst fashion blunders. Ed’s severely impacted his love-life. Caryn’s ended up being featured in the National Enquirer.
Hour 2 – Ed Kalegi and Caryn Richman each reveal which foods they do not like and, in some cases, find completely repulsive. Ed talks with filmmaker Deborah Correa about her new film “The War Between.” It is April 1862, the Arizona territory during the opening months of the American Civil War and two enemy soldiers must cooperate to survive because they are stranded in the Sonoran Desert. Ed also chats with record executive Derek Shulman, who signed and developed artists including Bon Jovi, Dream Theater, Slipknot, Pantera, and Men Without Hats and was the frontman of the band Gentle Giant, about his new book: “Giant Steps: My Improbable Journey from Stage Lights to Executive Heights.” And Ed Kalegi and Caryn Richman talk about their favorite toys of all all-time.
