In another wealth creation podcast episode about creating financially sound ventures, themed “Counting the Cost”, Mandla and Jonathan Miller dig into 3 key risks that can scupper your plans. So many financial adventures fail at the hands of an ambitious excel spreadsheet wizard or in the ever-dark tunnel of analysis-paralysis. The discussion revolves around four key questions:

  1. What biases prevent you from properly planning for the true cost of a venture?
  2. What are the non-financial costs that your excel spreadsheets ignore, which can bite you down the line?
  3. What is a wise way to budget for a project, whether it is building a property or setting up a new department?
  4. How to pivot if your project is heading towards being a white elephant.
