She discusses the challenges of making focused ultrasound devices more widely available, particularly in smaller hospitals and remote areas, and the need for more affordable and convenient technology.    As a woman in a male-dominated field, Dr. Powlovich reflects on the challenges of balancing motherhood with a demanding occupation and emphasizes the value of having inspiring female role models and mentors throughout her career.
