(00:02):
Jim Klauck here aka Check A Pro Joe on
The Check A Pro Radio Show I love what I do helping the homeowner
get the questions they have answered
by experts from Check A Pro Brandon day
is joining me from Daycool Heating and Air hey Brandon how
are you very good how are you I am living
the dream thank you so much so a

(00:24):
question's come in and and this is a really good question and i hear this all
the time not just in your field of heating and air conditioning but in all technology
the question is is our air conditioning systems more efficient
today has technology really made a big difference oh yeah yeah massive massive.

(00:50):
Uh you know i would
say the biggest change in it is things
going to variable speed everything variable speed
compressor variable speed fan motors
um that's the things
that would be variable speed but there's there's

(01:12):
little parks in a system that meters refrigerant that
used to be off of pressure and a spring and everything
will be electronic solenoid now i mean and which is measured by a computer so
it makes it awesome it can make a with the technology you can diagnose one of
those systems now it can make a 60 efficient technician 82 efficient because

(01:35):
the The computer tells them what's wrong.
So that's awesome. But it also,
instead of somebody measuring or running off of a standard rule of thumb or
temperature that you're not going to experience every day.
A system measures humidity, measures temperature, dry bulb, wet bulb.

(01:58):
It can adjust how fast the flow of that system runs for top efficiency or savings, comfort.
We put equipment in that the inverter shut down to 20% of the demand.
So a three-ton system can work like a 1.75-ton system if that's all that's needed at the time.

(02:19):
So it's pretty cool. and it's not
new technology it's been around for forever that
they're finally implementing into society i
guess it's word yeah and some of
these things are mandated by the government to
be more efficient which is great and when

(02:39):
you think about the air conditioning technology today The richest person 30
years ago couldn't purchase anything like what would be considered like an economy
product today, right? I mean, that's how much things have come.
Years ago, people had the best of the best air conditioning units 30, 40 years ago.

(03:03):
Today, those would just be considered very outdated, not as efficient.
And so my point is, is you can get a good system today that will take you a
lot further than the ones years ago.
And saving money is the game, but it's not just that.
It's also the ability for that air conditioning system to run efficiently and

(03:26):
well, to balance out getting the humidity out before it cycles off.
And that all comes down to what
day cool can do when they come out to your home to make
sure everything is balanced well calibrated well because
you want to make sure it's running long enough to pull the humidity out because
there's a lot of humidity to get it out of the home and cool it at the same

(03:48):
time yep and you want to do that the easiest it can exactly Brandon thank you
for bringing your expertise to the program today I appreciate it all right thank you.
