(00:00):
18in is the averagedistance between your head, your heart.
Some of you might lose your businessbecause that distance is too far.
Your stories, your experiences can change it all.
Let's fight until you're together.
We can defeat 90.
the 18 inch journey I'm talking about from
getting like thoughts and ideas and logicfrom your head to your belief

(00:22):
system, is not something you actually hearabout very much in business.
But yeah, it's actually more appropriate
and more apparent that somethingwe need to speak about than we do.
Let's take, for instance, like,I know you guys like sports.
Tony Robbins has been known for decadeshelping athletes get the stuff,
the head junk out of themselvesand get back to their belief system.

(00:45):
And you know, the rootand the do the things and take the action
they need to dobecause our beliefs backed our actions.
But the thing is, we don'twe don't define that
gap between knowing and believing, and we don't think about it very often.
We don't understand that.
I can know a lot of things about business.
I can understand a lot of things.
But if I don't proactively get it to whereI'm actually living it out,

(01:06):
that creates a very, very big problem.
And how we conduct our lifeare you missing
some part of your belief systemthat actually can help
you be the most successful versionof who you are?
So why am I?Why am I bringing up this this pain point?
Why am I?
Why does this even matter? Why?
Who cares about your belief system?Who cares about your mind?
You're thinking all this stuffI'm talking about.

(01:27):
Well, it comes down to this.
The greatest battle you will ever face.
I mean, it's the greatest battleyou will ever face
as an entrepreneur is not youryour competitors.
It's not customers.
It's not you.
Name it, it's you.
The greatest battle.
Because so much of what hinders usfrom being the business owner,

(01:48):
the entrepreneur,
the leader we need to be, is actuallythe internal struggles of the things
that don't align from here to hereto how we actually move out here.
So I was one of those kidsthat was bullied and picked on.
My entire life.I've been the uncool person.
And I'm using I'm being very vulnerableand using this example right now
because it sucks.

(02:09):
I was a kid that was, you know,I mean, literally pushed down stairs.
I like the things that have happened to mewhen it comes
to being bulliedreally affected me from a young age.
The point where there's a good portionof my younger part of my adult life,
I was trying to prove me wrong.
I can be successful. I can do this.
And trying to earn and validate who I was,

(02:30):
and I was never happy with who I was.
Am I value hasI mean, I've worked through it for years,
and it's still a strugglefor some of the things that been spoken
and thingsthat have been projected onto my life
and that had trash.
And that belief systemhas literally affected
how I actually risk the things I dobecause of.

(02:53):
It hurt.
It wasn't.
It was like literally I had to
I had to work through thisand this to be able to do this.
Here's a perfect examplebecause and it still applies to say
there's a part of methat as you're listening to this podcast
that I have to wrestle with a little bit,
that I'm not cool, like, you see all those really cool creators

(03:13):
out there and everybody's you're like, oh,I want to be their friend.
And I really love what they're saying.
And you canI can name all these amazing business
people out there and gurusand all this other stuff, I'm afraid
that the kid that was beat upand picked on and never liked a kid,
that's the same as it is today.
I have to still, I know that's not true.
I know that I know that my who I amand how much why I'm doing

(03:38):
this is not about what you guysthink or not.
I'm genuinely trying to helpand care for you guys.
And so it doesn't even matterif you like me or don't don't like me,
but it's still head trash.
It's still a belief systemthat I have to overcome because of
things that happened before
we all had that.
So this 18 inch journey that wewe will either go on or
not go on is super, super important to our business success.

(04:02):
So much of time of what happens inour business
is a direct reflection of how we leadand the decisions we make.
Guys, let's just be realistic.
Every decision you make in your businessand your life as a consequence,
whether that be good or bad,our life is made up of series
of consequenceor a series of decisions and consequences.

(04:22):
And ultimately it's our belief
of who we areand our belief of how we act.
That phrase that.
So we have to start working through
and even like,I mean, I can't even tell you
how much stuff I understandabout business,
like, for instance, being disciplinedand all of the same things.
I've talked about thatover and over again, nauseum. But like,
it's gettingthat stuff and putting the systems
and the things in place to counteractand for me to be be

(04:47):
who I need to be in businessto see things come through.
And if I don't work for that journey, then it doesn't happen.
And then I'm just stuck.
In most cases, the breakthroughyou're looking for in your business access
actually has to start in you, startingwith how you're making decisions
with your employees, with how you purchase always.
So I think I've said this, some of my other videos about
I had a mentor that talked abouthow there's some of the key attributes

(05:09):
of how to be a successful entrepreneurand what that looked like.
And he said that the last one, he said, you know, the first one is have a skill,
be really amazing and be the best at itto never give up, never quit.
Keep on going. The third one was luck.
And I've always I've said thatand that's always took me off.
But as I've learnedand I've thought through this more
and more about the idea of luck,I just heard another.

(05:31):
I was listening to another podcast.
I heard another billionaire talking about.
There's a part of thatin which it sounds crazy,
but I think luck translates into
open for opportunity.
If we look at our life from a positiveperspective, if we are always ready
and we have our self-worthand we have this place

(05:52):
where we're looking foropportunities, opportunities appear.
But if we're not looking for things,
if we're not looking for thingsto become successful
where we don't believethings will be successful,
it's not this law of Attraction thing.
It's this just purely righttime, right place being out there
and more opportunities, more thingsI'm looking for.
More things go right. Morethings are going to probably go right.
And I think ultimately that comes downto, again, getting this in line.

(06:16):
And so that hack can havea direct impact on your business.
So again it's looking at our belief system
think it's reallyimportant that you understand
even talking
about this stuff in and doing defeat 90
like this is the one of the biggest risksI've ever taken.
Like I'm building this companyfrom my savings, I, I don't know
how long it's going to take before there'sany kind of profit from this.

(06:39):
And I'm doing it because I understand
the implications of stuff like this topic.
This is not like mejust trying to become the next whatever,
I truly believeWe don't talk about this stuff and I,
I think to be a successful entrepreneur, you have to have a holistic approach
to that. And we've talked about that.

(07:00):
And I think this is part ofthat is dealing with the things
and getting getting this process downand working through and becoming
the most best versionof who you could be taking care of.
My goal in this journey
is to be as vulnerable as possibleand talk through this stuff.
So in the future,as I go through my stuff,
I'm going to talk through it with you guysand hopes that it can save you time.

(07:24):
Or maybe illuminate me like,oh my gosh, I struggle with that too.
I need to work on that because we,no matter who you are,
unless you are perfect and I guarantee youyou are not perfect.
We all have that trash.
We all have things that these things havethings that need to be taken care of
in this journey.
So in fairness, we're all in this journeyand I yes, I'm not trying to be a guru.

(07:46):
And I
by the way, too, I've
listened to my past videos of saying,I cannot say that word very well.
I listen to I'm like a guruanyways, there's another side note, but
I'm not trying to say,oh, I've got this all together.
No, I'm saying, guys,we can do this together.
It's really important.
And yes, I've had successes in my lifeand yes, I have had things that I have.

(08:07):
I'm not sitting here saying I'mthis terribly broken person.
I'm actuallyI feel like a very healthy person.
And I've gone through a lot.I've been through a lot.
And my hope is to share a lot withyou guys to help you in that same journey.
But it's not a journey to ever stop
learning, growing, being who you need to be.
So the reason I'm talking about this is

(08:28):
I want to give you some stepsof what it takes to
actually go and start this journeyand how to be successful at it.
let's jump into it.
So what are the partsand pieces of this change journey?
At least from my opinion, because this is just something
I've I've heard this term before.
And I was like,
okay, I'm going to dive into this, look at my own life
of how I've worked through the strugglesin the head trash and the things

(08:48):
and what does it look like, and what are these core pieces
of going on this journeyso you can overcome the things?
Because I guarantee you right nowyou're being stuck with something.
You're like, how do I get out of this?
Okay,so the first one, first, first key traits
is the ability to self-reflectis at the core of this journey.

(09:09):
Sometimes we don't want to self-reflect.
We don't want to look likewe don't want to open this.
We don't want to open this scary.
We're like, we don't want toface the things, but you can't
face something you can't see.
You have to bring light.
You have to be able to look and be like, okay, this thing is broken to me.
This thing is not working.
Or if you have trouble self-reflectingas friends, as people.

(09:32):
Okay, whatwhat are some things I can do better?
What are the things that are hindering me?
Or look at your company.
What are some things that are likeas a boss, as a manager, like
get the real factsof where you can be better at them
and start there and start that reflectionprocess of going, okay.
I have a tendencyI'm not me, but I'm saying I can.

(09:53):
It can be a boss,or it's like I have a tendency
of not being encouragingor not supportive, or people
feel like I don't communicate well,or it could be all these things
if you start working on that.
So, if you can't, if you can't identifythe problem, you can't fix it.
And so that's really, really important.
That sounds so cliche, but it's the truth.
So second thing, be teachable.
So, so much at a timewhen we start to dive in in here

(10:14):
and things come out and we're like,oh my gosh, what the heck?
Isn't it?
We making become super defensive.
We can become mad at ourselves,we can become mad.
And people saw that in usor want to deny it or whatever.
But there's this idea of being teachablemeans to be able to hold this thing
in your hands and look at this like, okay, how do I fix this?

(10:37):
How do I change this?
if you're defensive about that,if you're not in a place
where you can receive help in or.
Be willing to do the work, then there'sno point even starting this journey.
You're just going to be stuck.
So if youif you're the only way to work through
these things is to be teachableand be ready to either get help
or be willing to changeor look and examine
or try to look for another wayof doing things.

(10:58):
The next thing isyou have to identify the false beliefs.
the belief insideour hearts about the problem?
Is it correct?
is a thing like like as you identify, maybe you see this thing is a problem.
Is it really a problem?
Is it not a problem
let's take an example of what I said aboutas far as I'm not cool.
And maybe I was nevernot as cool as I thought.
Maybe I just never found the groupthat connected with me.

(11:19):
And so I took this beliefbecause I didn't fit in with this group,
the people I was surrounded with as likeI was a problem.
Maybe if I would have been in a differenthigh school at a different time,
I would have been cool.
And so but I've taken that
I wasn't cooland I have applied it throughout my life,
and it's put me in a position to where

(11:39):
it's caused other behaviorsthat come out because of that.
So I have to take that.
I have to take that false belief and start
getting to the rootand start looking at the beginning. Okay.
there's other ways of perceiving this.
I need towhat false beliefs need to be changed.
And some of this is stuffwe've been taught.
You know, some of you know, Ithere's been only two things in business.
I've learned from people that I'm like,okay,
that's not the proper way of handlingthat.

(12:00):
That's not how you deal with conflict or
that's not how, you know,
and you start havingthis real conversation about your beliefs.
So the next part is,as you start, identify the problem,
identifying the possibility.
So how it got thereand what's happening that
now you have to start realize, okay, how do I make a plan?
How do I change this and start dive into
you need to find if you don't understandhow to fix problem, find help.

(12:24):
Maybe it's a counselor, maybe it's pastor,maybe good friend.
That's wise.
You're looking forhow to look at the solution.
Once you get the idea, the solutionof how start working through this thing.
Then put a plan in place.
You actually start evaluatingor looking at
how to move forward as you're doing thiswork between here and here.

(12:45):
And some of that might be like for me,like realizing, you know what,
there are some parts about methat maybe aren't cool,
but there's a lot of thingsthat are really cool
about who I am, and I can embrace those.
And I can also give myself grace for,
like I said, maybe I was in the wrong place.
I didn't find my people.
And as I've grown older,I have found more of my people and I hope
I can find people in here on on YouTubeor wherever it is or podcast,

(13:09):
wherever it is that understandand get me and resonate and we can hey,
we can, we can help each other growand make a difference in the world.
this is this nextpart is really, really important
because some of you are looking at this
going on, this junk in the head trashor the stuff in your heart.
Yeah. Oh my gosh.
Possible. He's overwhelmed.
You're you're still like making a planseems premature

(13:32):
because you're just like,oh my gosh, I don't know how to fix this.
And this next thing is buildhope for the future you want.
So this is basically saying, okay, this is who I want.
This is this isthis is what this person looks like.
This is actions, this creates this is
and start
trying to realize I can build upand I can be this person.

(13:55):
Clearly define that right.
Some detailsand or also in that future start
giving yourself more credit and startas you're doing that first part of this,
start writing down your strengths.
Things are greatthings that align with who you are.
You are that align with where and whoand what you want
to accomplish in the futureand start trying to build the hope.
And I know this is possible to go back tothe plan and realize, know I can do this.

(14:19):
This can happen.
Hope is a really powerful toolfor reaching goals,
that hope has to start in you.No one can give you that hope.
Like people can encourageyou. People can say things they can say.
Ultimately, there's a point whereyou have to start trying to have hope.
when it comes to anything, you know, we can try and fail.
Try and fail.
But ultimately, what that is, iswe really talk about that's practice.

(14:40):
That's practice.
You are practicing.
And eventually as you practicesomething more, you get better at it.
So yes, you might suck it out even longerthan you think you should suck at it.
But if you have the hope,
if you have the plan, if you havethe realization of what you want,
that practice is worth it.
And that's part of the journey, right?
the other thing too, is in that plan,as you start getting this stuff,

(15:02):
is to create a practical habitof don't like I said, don't try rein
to be able to support this new lifestyleof what you're wanting.
With the plan, you can and the hopeyou can have this place of starting
making better decisions.
Like I said in the very beginning,we are the sum total of the decisions
we make.
Every time you make a better decisiontowards your why, your hope, your purpose,

(15:23):
you can celebrate that.
by making habits that are tied to that,or creating a support system,
I think around being who you want to beis really, really important.
And then when it's all said and done, the last step
is because we're going to alwaysfind more things in our life as we're
if we're being honest with ourselves
that we need to work onand we need to get this fixed,
just continue to repeat it, continueto do it.

(15:44):
Now, granted, I sounds more like a help
I can help session.
I don't know, like counseling.I don't even know.
I hesitated almostto creating this episode
because I'm, counselor, I'mnot in these things.
And this is just this is stuff
I have pulled out that I've learnedas I've been on this journey, this journey
of fixing things and growing and changingand maturing and getting to health.

(16:07):
So take it or leave it.
It's If all you take away from this,if none of that,
if you think all this is junk, all I can say
is at the end of this videois that we are in some of our choices,
and you are the biggest hurdlein your way of achieving your dream.
So whatever it is, you have to dowhatever the process looks like,
whatever you need to do to to win insidehere,

(16:28):
to be who you need to be, to live the lifeyou want.
Do that thing.
And I want to say to you,if you if you've been through trauma,
if you've been through really, reallytough things and they're really hard,
then seriously reach out to a professionalthat can help you work through them.
Counseling is amazing.
It's been a huge partof helping me in my life and my journey,

(16:49):
the things I've gone through, because I've gone through a lot of things
and just knowthere's people that care about you.
No matter where you're at inlife, there's people, even if it's
there's even
strangers that care about you,see you as being valuable.
I care about you.I want to see you succeed in your life.
And so, again, I know this really seemslike not relevant to business, but

(17:10):
you being the bestversion of yourself will
have you hope you have the best versionof your business,
and being holisticallyhealthy is so important to your future.
So with that being said, hey,if you liked what you've seen
and do the whole YouTube thing, you know, comment like all that stuff,
I really, I,
I know, I know, I have to do thatbecause it's all the action or whatever.

(17:33):
And alternately, I hope that I'm going tocreate enough value through conversation
I have with you or the conversationsI have with the interviews that I do,
and that you want to share this, that you want to engage with,
that you want to support what we're doing because together we can defeat 90.
