Two friends get together to discuss the best picture nominees of each year starting in 1969. We discuss each nominated film in detail breaking down the technical aspects, character development, acting, story presentation, etc. But, we also chat about how they hit us...our emotional reactions. We try hard to let our modern filters fade and put ourselves in the mind frame of the year of release, but we’ll admit...it’s hard. So join us as we dive deep in these films and discuss whether academy made the correct choice that year. Feel free to join in the discussIO and agree or disagree, we only ask that you do so respectfully. Oh, and yeah...major spoilers for each film.

Darryl talks about what makes him love a movie, in detail, with a list of things and everything.

Listen in as they talk about Darryl's favorite movie of all time.

The Films:
The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button
Front/Nixon
Milk
The Reader
Slumdog Millionaire
Laura adds a bit to our conversation about the Princess Bride, the only cross over we have in our top twenty list.

The films:
Atonement
Juno
Michel Clayton
No Country For Old Men
There Will Be Blood
Listen in as Darryl goes on about how important the Muppets were to his development as a person and how impactful this movie was in his life.
And if you do not like the muppets, we cannot be friends. Seek help, there is something seriously wrong with you.

Departed
Letters From Iwo Jima
Little Miss Sunshine
The Queen
