In today’s episode titled, A Sound That We All Carry Inside of Us, I speak with Awo Falokun Fasegun and Iya Fayomi Osundoyin Egbeyemi, my Babalawo and Iyanifa from the Yoruba spiritual practice called Ifa. In this conversation, Baba and Iya give some insight into the significance of the Yoruba word, Eniyan, and therefore the meaning behind the title of the podcast, Eniplace. Iya Fayomi is a priestess of Ifa, Osun, Egbe and Koori, she is also a television producer, daughter, sister, wife, and mother of three amazing humans. In addition to Awo Fasegun being a priest of Ifa, Ogun, and Osun, he is also a Kung Fu Sifu, having studied multiple martial arts as well as their respective cultural backgrounds. He is a scholar, a son, a husband, a brother, a father, a grandfather of six, and a highly respected and loved community elder.
