And when the arrest finally came on December 9, 2024 in a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania, the alleged assailant wasn’t who anyone expected. The alleged shooter was a young man by the name of Luigi Mangione. A well-educated individual with a master’s degree, no criminal record and seemingly limitless potential.
