2 Years ago, my son didn’t make his School soccer team — but what stung the most wasn’t the cut itself, it was the way it was handled. After days of hard work and hope, the message was cold, impersonal, and left him feeling like all that effort didn’t matter. As a parent, watching him process not just the rejection, but the lack of care in how it was delivered, was heartbreaking.

In this episode, I share that experience and why the process of cutting kids from teams matters just as much as the decision itself. We’ll talk about:

🔔 How poor communication makes rejection even harder

🔔 Why kids deserve respect and encouragement, even in disappointment

🔔 The emotional toll on both players and parents

🔔 How coaches and organizations can handle cuts better

To every parent who’s had to console a child not because they didn’t make the team, but because of how it was done — this one’s for you. Cuts will always hurt, but the way they’re handled can either crush a kid’s spirit or help them grow.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
