呢一集,我哋講講「講不出聲」:
當我哋想將香港人嘅故事翻譯成英文,向世界講出我哋經歷,但講出口先發現,字詞根本唔夠用,語言本身就限制咗我哋。
我哋由一個翻譯遊戲講起,試譯學術書名如《Inconvenient Strangers》,一路拆解語言、權力、語境與理解之間的矛盾。我哋討論咗「Hermeneutic Injustice」(詮釋上的不正義),點解講唔出,唔單係語言問題,而係當你經歷咗某種創傷,但無人畀你講、甚至冇人想聽,就會變成一種深層的不正義。
