Through our Baptism and Confirmation, each of us has received spiritual gifts called charisms so that we may build up the Body of Christ. According to Sacred Scripture, we have a part to play in that Kingdom task. The Doanes believe this truth is one of the most neglected aspects of our Catholic catechesis and should, therefore, be rebuilt into the People of God. In fact, paragraph 798 in the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that the Holy Spirit renews and builds up the Church through the charisms.
