In dieser Folge geht es um den Kolosserbrief und die zentrale Aussage: Jesus genügt. Das Hauptbild ist die Fülle in Christus, dargestellt besonders in Kolosser 1,15–20 und 2,3. Paulus betont, dass in Jesus alle Schätze der Weisheit und Erkenntnis sind und dass er Herr über Schöpfung und Gemeinde ist.
Wir hören, wie Paulus auf die Gefahren falscher Lehren reagiert: menschliche Philosophie, Engelverehrung, jüdische Gesetzlichkeit und asketischer Eifer. Seine Antwort lautet nicht: noch mehr Regeln oder neue Offenbarungen, sondern: Christus allein ist ausreichend.
Die Folge gibt auch Hintergrundinfos zur Gemeinde in Kolossä: Lage in Phrygien, Gründer Epaphras, Überbringer Tychikus und bekannte Gemeindemitglieder wie Philemon und Onesimus. Paulus selbst hat die Gemeinde nie persönlich besucht.
Der Brief ist in zwei Teile gegliedert: die Lehre über Christus und das Leben mit Christus. Paulus erklärt, wer Jesus ist, und leitet daraus praktische Konsequenzen für den Alltag der Gläubigen ab.
Wichtig sind Begriffe wie Fülle, Vollendung, Erkenntnis und Versöhnung. Paulus betet für die Gemeinde, dass sie in Weisheit und Erkenntnis wächst und im Willen Gottes feststeht. Das christliche Leben soll sich an Christus ausrichten, nicht an äußeren Vorschriften.
Zum Schluss ermutigt die Folge, Jesus groß zu machen und sich nicht von Zusatzangeboten und Irrlehren abbringen zu lassen: Christus ist die Antwort und die Quelle des geistlichen Lebens.
