Der Versuch, das wahre Glück auf eigene Faust zu finden, scheitert. Stattdessen sind wir aufgefordert, die geistliche Armut als Stärke anzuerkennen.
Im Zentrum des Glaubens stehen keine äußeren Leistungen, sondern das Verständnis, dass wir ohne Gott nichts vermögen. Frei von den Zwängen der Selbsterhebung können wir mehr Dankbarkeit und Frieden finden. Die Bergpredigt lehrt uns, dass geistliche Armut der Schlüssel zu wahrer Freude ist. Sie ermutigt uns, unsere Schwächen zuzugeben, um Raum für Gottes Fülle zu schaffen.
Mit eindrücklichen Beispielen aus der Bibel und der Geschichte großer Glaubensmänner wird uns verdeutlicht, dass wahre Größe in der Abhängigkeit von Gottes Gnade liegt. Unsere Schwachheit ist nicht unsere Unbrauchbarkeit, sondern die Grundlage unserer Tauglichkeit im Reich Gottes. Mögen wir immer wieder die Kraft finden, uns in seine Hände zu begeben und erfüllt zu werden von seiner Gegenwart.
