Wir machen weiter mit unserer Predigtreihe aus dem Kolosserbrief. Paulus schreibt den Brief an eine lebendige Gemeinde. Die Botschaft von Jesus Christus muss im Zentrum stehen, denn Christus allein genügt und keine weiteren Zusatzoffenbarungen sind nötig.
Der Prediger erklärt, dass Christen in einer gefallenen Welt leben, mit Bedrängnissen und einem echten geistlichen Kampf. Trotzdem sind wir getragen von Gottes Gnade: Christus wohnt in uns und bringt uns zur Fülle, auch wenn die Vollendung erst im Himmel liegt.
Paulus warnt vor Ersatzangeboten — von falschen Lehren, übertriebener Selbstverwirklichung, Trends oder Verschwörungsideologien — die vom Zentrum, von Jesus Christus, ablenken. Alle Schätze der Weisheit und Erkenntnis sind in Christus verborgen; alles Weitere führt nur in Täuschung.
Praktisch fordert Paulus dazu auf, in Weisheit zu leben, im Glauben verwurzelt zu sein und Christus als Herrn anzunehmen: Predigt, Seelsorge und persönliches Leben sollen Menschen in Christus hineinführen. Die Folge ist eine Gemeinde, die in Einheit, Ordnung und Dankbarkeit wächst.
