Jak podkreśla gość jest coraz większa świadomość społeczna w zakresie segregacji, choć wciąż występują trudności z wielomateriałowymi opakowaniami (np. kartonami po mleku).
Bardzo ważne jest, aby przeterminowane leki i baterie oddawać do specjalnych punktów w aptekach i sklepach, ponieważ dzięki temu te substancje nie wnikają np do gleby czy wody.
W ostatnim czasie rośnie popularność PSZOK (Punkt Selektywnej Zbiórki Odpadów Komunalnych), który umożliwia mieszkańcom łatwe pozbywanie się dużych gabarytów i trudnych do przetworzenia odpadów.
