Have you ever found yourself relating to God through the lens of past hurt, fear, or self-protection? Do you ever worry that the way you understand love might shape the way your children learn about God?
In this episode, we begin a gentle and foundational journey of discipleship in the home by rediscovering who God truly is. Many of us learned to understand love through experiences of fear, inconsistency, or pain — and without realizing it, we may have come to see God through those same lenses. But Scripture reveals a different reality: God is Holy Love — pure, steady, trustworthy, protective, and self-giving. Together, we explore 1 John 4:9–19 and look at how God’s love is demonstrated in the person of Jesus.
We then walk through five truths that help us disciple our children in this holy love, not by striving to be better, but by returning to Christ and allowing His love to reshape how we parent. This episode invites us to receive the love of God slowly, gently, and consistently — so our children may learn to trust Him too.
Blessings, ✨ Tricia
