Music.
And we're live. Hello, everybody. Welcome to the Haunted Legends Podcast.
I am your host, Ray, and this is my co-host, Sierra. Hi.

(00:55):
Welcome, everybody. Welcome, welcome in.
So, we've got some great things to talk about. What are we going to go over tonight?
We are talking about the Hinsdale House in Hinsdale, New York,
which is, fun fact, like 15 minutes away from where I live.
It's a place that I have never been to yet. Yet?

(01:18):
Yet. Your time is coming very soon, my guy. What's up, Eric?
We should put comments. Do you know how to put the comments up on the screen? Because I don't. I do.
Then that's a good job for you. Because I have no idea. Oh, probably the show
button, huh? Yeah, it's the show button.

(01:40):
But yes, we are here to talk about the Hinsdale House. No, I've been to the
Hinsdale house last year and there's, there's a few things that happened,
nothing super standout ish.
So I'm hoping that this time it's going to be a little different.

(02:00):
So since you live 15 minutes away, how many times have you been there?
I, to investigate once, once to sneak up the driveway to look at it.
I don't i don't even know i can't
give you a number you hear stories about it my
mom's got stories about it your mom also

(02:22):
says that you could be a blonde sometimes i was
a blonde once you know hello from edinburgh scotland well hello damien listen
go ahead uh we are actually planning a trip to Scotland because we want to go see Nessie.

(02:45):
So it's great to have you here. Ray actually wants to go swimming with Nessie. Don't let him fool you.
Maybe. At least if you're toes in.
Just the toes. Just the toes. But yeah, that's pretty cool. We might have...
Mom said I'll sleep in a cemetery first before I go there.

(03:08):
My mom, she, her grandparents lived in Hinsdale and they'd go over every Sunday for dinner.
And afterwards they would go and, you know, kind of go for a walk,
all the adults and the kids.
My mom was walked by the Hinsdale house and kind of like walked up to the driveway,
like got halfway up the driveway and was like, nope.

(03:29):
Like, I can't, like she refused to go any further just because the vibe,
just, just not, not for her.
But nonetheless i'll go i will
go sleep in the hinsdale house jonathan how
was your half day today half day i wanted a half day before we get too into

(03:53):
this episode there's one thing that i wanted to kind of bring up if you guys
don't know the owner of the hinsdale house is dan klaus,
klaus place place i believe so
but either way he is
a very sweet person and very

(04:14):
kind and very community involved everybody loves damn recently i think it was
last week he he put out a post about his daughter shaley has bone cancer and
she's going to be needing a lot of support.

(04:36):
They started a GoFundMe to kind of help with all the costs that come from all
these frequent trips to Buffalo, stuff like that.
So the GoFundMe is in the comments. If you can't donate, that's okay.
Share it with your friends. Put it out there. If there's anything that I've

(04:56):
learned in the last week is that when this community gets together under one
purpose, no matter what kind of differences you guys,
you know, any of us have against one another, like we can do great things.
They have already exceeded their goal three times now.
So I just wanted to kind of put that little nugget in there.
And, you know, we support Dan. We support his daughter.

(05:19):
So, yeah. Now we'll get into the episode.
Oh, yes. Thank you, Amber. They are selling T-shirts and hoodies now.
If you go to... Is it on the Hinsdale page, maybe?
I believe so. I think that's where they posted it. It's either his page or Dan's page.

(05:40):
But either way, there's shirts for sale, hoodies for sale to support her and stuff.
Go ahead and post that in case anybody's interested.
Look at Ray being on top of things. If I can find it.
Fortunately, I can't find it. That's okay. We'll post it to the comments later on.

(06:00):
Yeah. We'll post it to the comments and we'll even share it on the page,
on our Facebook page, if you guys want to.
Amber, if you know where the link is, since you seen it earlier,
if you want to go ahead and share that for the audience, go ahead and do that,
please. But yeah, the Hinsdale House.
There's lots of stories about the Hinsdale House. some of those what's going

(06:21):
to be your gizmo for sleepover gizmo.
Listen that movie terrified me so the thing that i'm looking forward to bringing
is our dog mayo yes mayo not kanye Yay, Mayo. Not Connie, Mayo.

(06:48):
Mayo the dog. It's a trigger object that, it's like a boo buddy,
but it's a wiener dog and it acts as a REM pod.
So we've had some good hits on that over at Pennhurst and a couple other places.
So that's turning into one of my favorite gizmos. Mm-hmm.

(07:10):
Absolutely. But. So Hinsdale House. Yes. You've been there plenty of times.
You've researched a lot of history.
I have. For somebody that has never been there yet, and for an audience who
doesn't know much about the Hinsdale House, what kind of stories can you tell us?

(07:31):
Well, I can tell you that the house was built in 1853. So it's been around for
a little bit. There were many families that lived there, owned the property,
that didn't really have anything happen.
It was just a good old hillside home for a lot of people.
Unfortunately, that changed in 1970 when the Dandies moved in.

(07:57):
The Hinsdale House is often referred to as the Dandy House because during the
four years that they lived there, a lot of crazy stuff happened.
So i just want to point out something damien said
put a slinky on top of the stairs that's
something that i've never thought about doing it has
if if that's the case it has to be one of the metal like older

(08:18):
slinkies it can't be like the the plastic one
plastic ones no that that actually sounds like an
awesome idea if i if i'm sitting in
a quiet house and i hear that going down the
steps i'm out nope how's it going andrew no no yeah dame said definitely metal

(08:38):
absolutely i might have to buy one tonight now hopefully i can get it to ship
in the morning before we head to new york we got about a six hour drive to your guys's place.
Yeah in case you guys want it we're investigating hinsdale tomorrow,
let me just put that ruin it oh and
you know you know if you if you

(09:00):
go over to our tiktok page and do a little follow over there you may or may
not see a live pop-up randomly that you could you know see hinsdale house through
a camera it may be our very first live on tiktok and we would
love for everybody to be there to check out the Hinsdale house.

(09:23):
It's going to be a lot of fun. And we're going to be repping some of our merch.
Yep. It's going to be exciting.
But anyways, we keep getting off track. Back to the dandies. Back to the dandies.
So the dandies were Clara and Phil. They were the mother and father.
And they had four, four children, Mike, Beth, Laura, and Mary. And,

(09:49):
Yeah. I'm going to have Tammy, can you send me that photo and I'll show him to look at it.
So Tammy is one of my coworkers that lives in Hinsdale. Oh yeah.
So she's familiar with the area.
And she had to post it on, on the screen here so we can share it with everybody.

(10:09):
Maybe go down to, do you have a present button at the bottom?
Yeah. If you go to present and And share screen, you'll be able to,
or even share screen, you'll be able to show that picture to everybody.
Okay, well, whenever she is able to send it through, I will do that.
But it was definitely, definitely spooky. See, a lot of people go up there,

(10:34):
like, you know, a lot of people from the college, St.
Bonaventure, they hear about it, which I'll get into why they hear about it
in a little bit. But they go up there, they go up and see.
What the big scary house is and
it's not big it's a very small house
there's a very small basement which is

(10:55):
more of like a root cellar you have a small kitchen you have a family room a
bathroom and the small bedroom called mike's room on the first floor and then
And then the top floor is just two little rooms.
Like it's now three little rooms. I'm sorry, but it's not, it's not a big, a big place at all.

(11:23):
Okay. This is where we go and get creepy. Hold on. Let me save this.
I'm scared. I was not prepared for this. All right. We're just going to do this.
Bear with me. I don't know what I'm doing. This is a race.
Share. You got to learn sometime. Yeah, share screen. Listen,
I don't have to learn if you're always going to be here.

(11:46):
That's my... I'm sorry that I don't live in New York, 15 minutes away from Hinsdale
and know people that have been around there. I don't have to.
Your browser has blocked your screen. Okay.
It wants me to reload my page. So here's what we're going to do.
We're going to make this easier, guys. We're going to forward this to Ray.

(12:10):
And ray can do it okay you do it okay.
Damien is not me it is all right i'm just i'm just riding this ship that's it that's it but,
kind of going back to hinsdale until he gets that up and ready hinsdale is a

(12:31):
very small location for paranormal investigators to get there like six people
max is what i would put in the house honestly just because it is that small
and the you know the noise travels noise travels a lot mm-hmm.
So like I said, they lived there from 1970 to 1974.

(12:54):
So they were only there for four years. And they basically drove out of the home.
They saw apparitions both indoors and outdoors.
Objects moving, random smells, odd sounds.
You know, the typical stuff of a haunting. But then there was also the other

(13:14):
less typical stuff. stuff where, you know, sometimes they heard drumming from the woods.
It's one of the claims. I personally haven't heard drumming.
When I was there last year, there were bullfrogs because there was a pond on the property.
So could the sound of the frogs be similar to the sound of drums?

(13:38):
I'm not the one to say yes or no, but, you know, it's a possibility.
There was also Also people heard chanting from the woods too, which is odd.
Now Hinsdale isn't that far from the Seneca Indian reservation.
So, you know, I'm sure back in the day that they, you know, all this land was

(14:02):
all open and everything.
Thing so like possibly could have
been some native american deaths out there but there's
nothing there's no history that has been found yet to
back up those claims the other thing was like mysterious lights just random
lights outside at night now for those that don't know like is like out in the

(14:23):
boonies like it's very secluded there's really not you know that many
houses around like it's very very remote the other thing was did i mention the bees.
I don't think i mentioned that no you haven't mentioned the bees yet
okay so when the dandies first moved in

(14:45):
there was like a bee like infestation
that came like out of nowhere were just infested
with bees which is weird there's also a fly
thing and when dan bought
the property and it was on
an episode of paranormal lockdown with nick groff and the other

(15:07):
lady i can't remember her name tessa tessa
yeah was no it was um paranormal lockdown
with uh katrina yes yes yes yes
yes yes that's his wife that's the new
show he's on but when they went in there like up on the third floor or the second
floor there was so many flies so many flies but you know if you if you look

(15:33):
in some more darker cases that you know paranormal investigators have worked on.
That's kind of like a sign in some cases that it is a darker thing is like the
bugs, the flies, whatever.
Another fun fact is within two months, the dandies had 11 animals die on the property. 11.

(15:57):
One of them was a dog. So maybe, maybe Mayo will bring us a ghost dog.
Maybe. That is the hope.
But another dog like went missing never returned never found nothing which again
it happens dogs run away from home and are gone for you know ever it happens
that's what my mom told me about my dog when i was a kid just kidding that never

(16:18):
happened there was a cat that crawled into a dryer and died,
i don't know how a cat crawled into a dryer and then pressed the start button,
so i don't know if it was animal parent lack of judgment to check the dryer
or but the cat the cat died there's a lot a lot of weird things happened there

(16:42):
was there was another thing about car trouble like just cars would just randomly
break down at the end of the driveway,
that was weird too does that still happen i mean i have had my car parked at the bottom of the
driveway and nothing happened
so i i personally
we'll park your car at the bottom of the driveway and leave it running

(17:04):
and see what happens we're doing it for
science right guess i'm not getting back to work on monday listen they'll be
okay without you okay but the dandies went through a lot a lot of rough things
and finally they like they had enough of it a little bit.

(17:28):
In the town that I live is St. Bonaventure University, and it's kind of like
a Catholic, Christian-like college.
There was a gentleman by the name of Father Trebold, who was a theology and
religion professor at the college, who they reached out to to have come and cleanse the home.

(17:49):
Now, a lot of things sometimes get misconstrued.
People say that there was
an exorcism performed at the house now there
there was no exorcism if you
go on to the saint bonaventure like archives there was
no exorcism an exorcism is performed onto a person a cleansing is on a home

(18:15):
a location so father tripple came and cleansed the the house it kind of settled
things down for a little bit and it would just ramp up again,
lawnmower always had trouble they finally quit after the
fourth time and never had a problem with the mower since wow that's interesting

(18:35):
hey cheryl kind of makes me want to take a lawnmower up there and just let it
run yeah project fear was there recently within within Within a year, I think.
They just posted about Sam and Colby being there last week.
So it's definitely, there's a lot of, you know, bigger named people that are

(19:00):
in the paranormal field that are going to investigate this house.
But back to Father Tribble. Father Tribble came in, cleansed the house.
Things kind of settled down for a couple months. And then it amped back up.
And that's when the family found, you know, they had enough and they contacted
who I like to who I like to refer to as the the the grandfathers of paranormal.

(19:26):
And that's Ed and Lorraine Warren.
They came to the Hinsdale house.
They investigated. It was one of their cases. And they were like,
yes, there is something darker here.
So, again, Father Gibald came out, cleansed the house again.
And they say a lot of the activity happens up in Mary's room,
which is up on the second floor.

(19:49):
There's people that'll go in there and they'll feel like claustrophobic.
They'll feel like they just they just have to get out. You know, they'll get dizzy.
There's people that go in there and feel like they get a sudden like burst of
just like anger and just like, you know, frustration. Hmm.

(20:13):
Now, I'm not really sensitive to anything like that. I have gone into that room and I was fine.
And that's not me saying that there's nothing there.
I think that in order for us as paranormal investigators to really understand
how the paranormal works at a specific location, we have to go to that location multiple times.

(20:39):
Yeah. Like, I'm not able to go to a location and say, yep, it's haunted one time.
Like, I'm going to go to that location, have a lot of questions that I need
answers to, and I'm going to keep going back until I get the answers that I want.
And there's that chance that I'll never get those answers.
Yep. I, you know, could be 102 and still not have the answers of why little

(21:03):
Susie is haunting so-and-so. So, but I'm still going to try because that's,
that's what we're here for, right?
We're here to investigate and, you know, try to prove that there's life after
death, you know, because none of us are experts.
We're not. Absolutely not. We're just, we're just here. That's why we're investigators.

(21:27):
We go out there and research.
Yeah. Like you don't see anybody that has a degree in the paranormal. Yeah.
I so bright? I keep feeling like I'm glowing.
What else? There's a lot of stories that are pushed out and we'll consider them legends.

(21:49):
Now, a lot of these legends don't have anything to factually through history
and everything else to back it up.
Now, I'm not saying that That the legends that people speak of are inaccurate or not true.
I'm just saying that there's no evidence to back up that it is.

(22:11):
Like, I mean, some of the shows where you see people at the Hinsdale house will
talk about a buzzsaw accident.
That buzzsaw accident didn't happen on the Hinsdale property.
It happened like a mile down the road.
Now, could the spirits travel a mile up the road and are hanging out at the Hinsdale house? Sure.

(22:31):
I can't tell you if that's a yes or no, because I don't know how that works.
Oh, thank you, Cheryl. Cheryl says I always have that special aura.
I mean, is it possible that maybe there is some sort of portal around Hinsdale
that attracts spirit energy? It's possible.
It could be. I've seen a lot of other TV shows that describe that kind of stuff.

(22:58):
Like, what was it? there was a one tv show i was watching i was talking about
the hurricane that went through and drowned a bunch of people and they would
see like spirits of the deceased from that hurricane,
traveling around the neighborhoods stuff like that right so like we we don't
know like when a spirit passes right when someone passes does their in their

(23:23):
spirits still here right because we've you You know,
we've experienced those things. We know that there's something there. Yeah.
We don't know what's keeping them here. Are they tied to just one location?
Can they hop through portals and go somewhere else? Be like,
oh, like I'm tired of this place. I'm going to go to Ohio. Mm-hmm.

(23:44):
Have a look at geographical type of bedrock. Eyeline. Ley lines.
Okay. An underground water table.
Yeah, I've heard a lot of things about ley lines.
Look at that picture. Do you have the picture up? I do. Let's show the picture.
Did you look at the picture?
I did. So what are your thoughts?

(24:04):
I'm in a chair right now, so I can...
Can you guys see this? You can see the GoFundMe. Still? Yeah.
I'm supposed to be the professional, my guy. Look, I'm still learning here.
Mom, I fully give you permission to throw me across the room when you're in the afterlife.

(24:25):
Just please let it be on camera.
That's it. Just let it be on camera. Yeah, Tim, I completely forgot about that
picture until you brought it up again. There it is. Yeah.
So, you see the three colors on the left? The light blue, the dark blue,
and the pink, right? Mm-hmm.
Those are children. Real children.

(24:49):
So, it's like this person in the white was an apparition.
Like, what is that? It looks like a spirit of a little girl.
Mm-hmm. That's wild. Mm-hmm.
Mom said she'll give me a warning to have the camera ready.
That picture was taken not too far from the Hinsdale house. Hmm.

(25:12):
You want to know another fun fact that I found doing my research about Hinsdale
that has nothing to do with paranormal? Absolutely.
Do you know that there is apparently a Bigfoot sighting and a Dogman sighting
around the Hinsdale house in that area? Did not know that.
So, we might have to plan another trip for you to come up and we can go look for Bigfoot. I'm down.

(25:38):
And I'll just be sure to hold the camera steady when you get punched by Bigfoot. We'll see.
Raise raise living listen emily you can come too as well please you can watch
me watch ray get punched by bigfoot his goal is to be the first man ever to
be punched by bigfoot emily make sure you're live on your podcast so you can

(26:02):
record it and talk like an announcer.
Yes hansen legends land tour maybe we could do tours that'd be cool hmm Cheryl
you may have given me a great idea hmm,
but again going back to spirits when something passes we don't know what it's

(26:25):
attached to is it here to just arcade I dare you I triple dog dare you no balls do it no balls,
if I could jump nine feet I'll do it.
Listen listen listen craig i i'm down i am down emily can i can i sell tickets

(26:50):
for for craig to punch you can i as long as no well what if the ticket money
goes towards the podcast,
i guess what if the ticket money goes oh wait i was ready to keep going but okay,
Craig said Bigfoot Thanks Cheryl I mean clearly they're all on my side I see
that Bigfoot is listening Craig what size shoes do you wear?

(27:15):
That's the real question Craig is a giant.
The people that don't know craig craig is a giant but this
isn't the podcast about craig craig you have tuned back in to the bigfoot episode
okay hi anton hey anton ufc fight night ray versus bigfoot in the woods lol
listen you could sell tickets that ticket money can go and fund our our scotland trip?

(27:43):
It could. I'm not hearing a no. That's a sellout show right there.
Correct. He wears a size 16 or 17 shoe. Ray vs. Bigfoot is going to be bigger than Tyson vs. Paul.
We're going to need everybody. Everyone's going to come. Get on your platforms.
We'll stream it. It's going to be hilarious.

(28:05):
Eric said he'll talk to ESPN. Yes. Get Dana White on the phone right now. Call him.
But Craig, would you be willing to dress up in a Bigfoot costume for the fans?
Like, will you dress up as Bigfoot and then punch Rey in the face?

(28:25):
I will pay you with Rey's money to punch Rey in the face.
I think it's a great idea. But you're also not saying no.
So that's just giving me kind of like, I'm kind of okay with it vibes. Subscribes.
If I can bet. Ray, get on Amazon. Find a ghillie suit. I'm going to make you
do all the work to get punched in the face.

(28:49):
I am not supporting my own demise. Okay, I'll support it.
I'll support it. I'll take donations. Anyways. Anyways.
Enough about Ray getting punched in the face. I wanted to go back to the bees. The bees. So...
The thing that really got me about the bees is it was wintertime when they were all in the house.

(29:17):
Yeah. It's typically something you don't see. I know up your area,
it's a lot colder up there than it is down here.
Sorry, laughing at my mom.
What did Wade say? We got Bigfoot reports in the UK.
We confirmed, you know, Damien, when we come over that way, we might just have

(29:42):
to, you know, link up and you tell us where all the Bigfoot hotspots are. Absolutely.
Wade said Hinsdale house is fascinating, but you must remember the hundreds
of people have visited every weekend and perform seances and other methods,
opening a portal that has rarely been closed.
I was attacked from the staircase and with all the newly opened portals,

(30:03):
It has simply become a topple effect, but I do respect the house.
So that's, to my understanding, basically saying with the portals,
which is more than one, I thought there would only be one.
But since there's more than one, you're not really sure what you're going to run into then.
If the portals are open and anyone can just come right through.

(30:25):
I think, you know, activity is also based on, like, when you go. So I am a firm believer.
Like I think spirits kind of get tired of people being around and in their house all the time.
You know? So if you have somebody there every weekend, back to back to back
to back, like it doesn't really give them much time to like recharge. If that makes sense.

(30:49):
But that, that isn't, that's something that we'll, we'll never know about how their energy works.
We can, we can sit here and speculate all night long, but you and i ain't ever
gonna know and if there's ever a time where we do know then,
you know are we gonna be at a location and like
you know writing on chalk on a board saying that's how it works you know at

(31:14):
that point i'd be like you know what screw it well if i had to wonder all my
life y'all have to wonder all your life amy said i am a portal i never close
i have of Ouija board tattooed down both arms means I can hunt everywhere.
Interesting. It is interesting.
Wade said they tend to get angry, but he had to tap to the location. Hmm.

(31:38):
Wade is an investigator for Nesper. Did you know that? No, I did not.
We recently became friends on Facebook, so I'm kind of a big deal now. Just so you know.
Thank you.
Hmm. I would like to know, like, I don't know if Wade, you'd be able to provide

(32:00):
me this information, but I would like to know more about when Ed and Lorraine went to Hinsdale.
I will, I will back that up. I did it. Look at that.
The, the eyes feel like you're being watched. It does happen at last year.
And it's not just from inside the house.

(32:22):
Like there was there there's times where you're standing
outside even in daytime and you
feel like you're being watched from the woods and speaking of
the woods there is a what the
giving tree i think that's what i call it yeah i believe that's what it has
up behind the house is a giving tree so up this little trail and it's just a

(32:46):
tree that has just things that people have left for the Native American spirits.
And that kind of brings me to another point. There's a lot of claims that the
Hinsdale house is located on an Indian burial ground where there was a big massacre

(33:06):
of Native Americans on that property.
Again, there is not any historical
or factual evidence to back that claim up
so it's it is merely a legend if
maybe in further research down the
road there might be something to back that up but if you also if you know anything

(33:29):
about like native americans especially like this area like they stayed close
to a water source you know they had to be able to use water they they they stayed
close to that that's how they They traveled. They traveled by traveling the water source.
Hensdale is on like a top of a hill. Why would they go and settle on a top of

(33:52):
a hill away from a water source?
You know, that doesn't make sense to me. There was one claim that I read about that was.
Area where the hinsdale house was was used as a
lookout wade said the
warrens went decades ago so they did not have all the energies that

(34:13):
the daily visitors have now brought in within the
last 25 years they could get the clearer reading of the
house and going to
what emily said you know every she feels
like every haunting has ties to indigenous people and
that absolutely could be be true like we
know what lands what the

(34:36):
lands were what locations were like when like
the europeans came over like yeah you
know through you know finding readings or talking generations about like oh
like what did your ancestors use this for but we don't know you know native
americans weren't going and writing down in diaries every single thing they

(34:58):
did or maybe Maybe they were. We just don't know them.
So how far is the closest water source to Hinsdale?
I mean, the main one would be the river. But as far as in relation to the Hinsdale
house, I would say at least a couple of miles, at least. A couple of miles.

(35:20):
Maybe it's possible that Native Americans were protecting their settlements in that area.
You right but if that's the case why would you settle on a top of the hill where
you could at that point in time people could see you from you know if you would
think if if you wanted to protect yourself you would settle in a valley so you

(35:42):
would see people coming up in before they got to you,
which is a thought kings probably depends on the cover that you have i mean
we don't know how the cover was on top of that hill back then yeah i don't know so the the main river.

(36:02):
Uh because you want to talk about the allegheny
the allegheny was one of the meanest the main
ones now they did find in there's
an only in new york they did find
a burial mound burial mound now it's
at a local park so like i don't know if there's

(36:23):
like kids are just playing soccer with you know
a bunch of like dead bodies underneath of them like that's a scary thought
i don't know i didn't ask i don't want to know but they did find a burial mound
there and that was right next to the river there's a river right there but to

(36:44):
give you a to the Allegheny River.
We'll just do here. Yeah, it's... Hold on.
Bear with me.
From the hinsdale house to the main water source okay now could you imagine

(37:07):
if they had settled up there at the hinsdale house on those grounds would they really be walking
11 miles and back 22
mile round trip for water now right
wade said there was a stage cup drop-off spot where passengers could stop and

(37:31):
spend the night at the house that's how two victims were killed there's a rather
large pond just 20 yeah there is a pond and there is a claim
that there is a woman in white that walks around the pond and is seen out there in that area.
So if you think that me and a REM pod are going to get into the canoe and sit

(37:54):
in the middle of the pond, you might be right. I'm just saying.
I'll be asking the ghost, like, listen, flip me over. Just make sure it's on camera.
Listen, it's all for the paranormal evidence, right? Okay? you
just gotta open yourself up and allow the things to happen sure
damien said all houses are linked with pipes electrical power lines might work

(38:18):
as an energy conduit maybe it's possible wait again yes there are four bodies
buried along the bank of the pond radar detected this,
interesting hmm that's that's
not terrifying at all but interesting my mom said why do women always wear white

(38:39):
i don't know let's talk about the first episode of supernatural literally there's
a woman in white i think that was just the style back in the day like i mean
was that like it's just like a period clothing that was just,
typical before you know a lot
of colors and stuff were added to clothing styles house yeah underwater recorder

(39:02):
is that a thing how about an underwater gopro i do have a gopro that has an
underwater case exactly.
Well, there's an experiment for tomorrow night. Thanks, Damien.
Wade, you can absolutely send me photos. We are send it to the page,

(39:26):
send it to me, send it to Ray, preferably to me. Just kidding, right?
But yeah, definitely. I would be more than happy to look at any photos you have. More than happy.
Wade again said the four bodies were laid in order, not haphazardly.
The current owner thinks they were related and are related but

(39:48):
who are they like i think i
feel like at that point too like if we don't know who they are is it worth trying
to find out who they are like is it worth you know we have so much resources
now to run a dna test dental records

(40:09):
you know but again depending on
how long they've been there you know the dental records might not be there if
they're really old i would just let them rest but you wouldn't know unless you
unless you got a shovel and started digging yeah but then you also have to think
like what kind of like paranormal aftermath would you potentially be opening up if you dug them up.

(40:33):
Yeah damien said i use underwater cams to catch light refracting different and see silhouettes Hmm.
Fish tanks. That's interesting.
And Wade said, as long as they weren't murdered victims. Yeah.
I don't know. I feel like part of me would be like, I would want to kind of

(40:55):
know, but then is it worth it?
If you find a body, right, you know what's there, like, there's part of you
that's going to be like, well, who the hell are you? Like, how did you get there?
You know? But if you do go and, you know, yeah, like Bob said,
it would be disrespectful.

(41:17):
And I'm not saying to go and dig them up. I'm just saying, like,
part of me would be like, hmm, like, who are you?
You like i would want to know but like obviously you're
not going to catch me up there you know digging yeah way said the bodies aren't
going to be dugged up they are not the source of the activity in the house which
is understandable and wait you don't talk too much not at all like i would seriously

(41:43):
love to talk to you more about this absolutely.
The other thing was so like i said at the beginning the dnds they live there for four years.
Everything that happened happened within that four year mark.
And they basically got run out because of everything. They couldn't take it anymore.

(42:05):
They got, they left and the house got sold.
And there was a couple other families that moved in there afterwards and had no issues.
They were not bothered one bit, not at all. So what made the dandy so special?
I feel like that's my biggest

(42:26):
question you had people that it was built by david and charles everett in 1853
right so from 1853 to 1970 nobody had an issue in that house nobody that's a
long time okay from 1970 to 1974.

(42:47):
The house was wreaking havoc on this family the dandies dandies left in 1974 and then,
you know from 1974 to whatever i
can't remember what year dan bought the house it was in 2000 something
but nobody had
an issue with the house so again why why were the dandies so special and cheryl

(43:13):
has a good idea maybe mary was sensitive because mary's the biggest person in
the story she was the one that was affected the most yeah maybe she was possible,
maybe that explains why the dandies were the only ones affected you know a lot of people have the,
if you see something you don't if you hear something you don't mentality.

(43:36):
Especially you know living in the appalachian mountains like there's you know
they say you hear you hear your
name you know yelled in the woods in the middle of the night no you don't,
no you don't but i definitely think
miss donna hansel had a good idea you know
for you know going back to the the four
bodies that are buried by the pond is there a marker

(43:58):
to mark that they are there you know to show kind
of some to show respect because if not like maybe
that would be a good thing yeah but then
again you have again hinsdale house gets a lot
of unexpected visitors you know
people from the college they hear about the hinsdale house because the professor
was you know part of the investigation and part of figuring out why things were

(44:24):
happening there you know you do have a lot of college kids that go up now it
is heavily camera'd inside side.
But if someone were to go and see the marker, like, can you expect everyone
to be respectful and leave it alone?
Somebody will vandalize it somebody would so well

(44:44):
i think it you know they do need to have
that respect i think it's more respectful to leave it unknown that's that's
just my opinion my opinion is not law i'm just some random girl that lives you
know lives here bob said i wonder if it was a perfect storm of a location and
time and the girl mary going through puberty could

(45:06):
open the door that has never been closed maybe i
i think i would i would in order
to understand portals better like i would need to talk to somebody about how
how does one open a portal how does one close a portal like i understand like
portals are gateways from one place to another to another to another but like

(45:29):
how does it work so if anybody knows like Like,
I would love to have a sit-down conversation to explain to me exactly how portals work.
Weighed back. The emotions of mental state can trigger activity in a home.
Someone who simply does not believe in the paranormal will not trigger the activity.
Another example, that the Lutz family at the Amity house, the Hinsdale house,

(45:52):
is protected by many security cameras. There is.
Like, that house is running through security cameras 24-7.
Like you almost don't even need to use an ir light when you're down there when
you're in the house in the dark because the ir light from the cameras the security cameras are there,
like so you know dan could be sitting at home in his in his comfy chair and

(46:18):
watching as we're investigating tomorrow night you know you can't get away with
nothing but again you know wade Wade might be onto something too.
It could be a mental and emotional state.
Children are way more open to the paranormal than most adults are.
You know, they still have that imagination. They still have,

(46:39):
you know, they haven't seen all the bad stuff.
Listen, listen, Wade, you just let me know.
We can come to Hinsdale. Next time you want to go to Hinsdale,
let me know. No, I will roll up and we will have a campfire and talk about it. I am 100% down.

(47:01):
I feel like Wade has a lot of knowledge that would be nice to hear.
I feel like Wade has a lot of stories that would be interested to hear.
Right exactly eric now
my third eye is like it's close tight maybe not tight you know mine's open i

(47:24):
can't go into a go into a place and say oh there's a little boy with raggedy
clothes sitting over there there's this over here there's this over here like i can't tell
you a lot of stuff just not not a sierra thing which is okay i'm okay you know
and tomorrow when i go into hinsdale i'm a lot more sensitive than everybody

(47:48):
else that's going tomorrow,
so it's going to be quite interesting yeah it is but you usually like to go
into places without knowing anything but unfortunately hinsdale was kind of
everyone knows hinsdale So, yeah,
I mean, I've watched episodes on it before.
So, you know, knowing some of the history was already a given,

(48:11):
unfortunately, but wait, I'd Mr. Warren taught me.
I would love again to have a sit down conversation with you because I have a lot of questions.
Absolutely. A lot of questions.
So you let me know the time and place and I will make it work.
Right. You're just going to take off work. I will for that.

(48:35):
Bob said plenty of non-believers have had experiences that changed their minds.
They were non-believers who had experiences. So I'm not on board with that.
I'm a believer as much as the next.
I love hearing people's people like talking about what they experienced.
I'm not going to bash anybody for experiencing what they experience.

(48:58):
But there's always going to be that little voice in the back of my head saying,
but like what was it like i want to be able to have something happen and try to explain it,
yeah and if i can't explain it logically awesome but
if i can't that's where i get the adrenaline rush from

(49:19):
paranormal investigating is when something happens and i cannot and the people
around me cannot logically explain why this happened why did it happen you know
when i had a doll follow fly off
the shelf at me with a trajectory at the wildwoods wildwood in salamanca,
i have no logical reason no logical

(49:40):
reason for that when i saw a full-body apparition at prospect place in ohio
and i held the door shut because i was so scared of this big man trying to get
me not thinking that it's a spirit and probably just walk through the wall anyways
like it happened i I could tell,
I could tell people about this experience and they're gonna be like,

(50:01):
no, like, okay, like sure it did.
It's just, I don't know. I don't know.
The other thing, because it is 8 o'clock, there are our friends jumping on.
Buddy and, why am I blinking? Buddy Thayer and his co-host, Brendan Nadeau.

(50:24):
Yes. And they are a Van Down by the Rift podcast.
So if you guys want to jump off here and go over and support them, we won't be mad.
We love everybody here. So let me just put that in there.
You can, you can go over there if you'd like, but I just want to get back to
these comments before we go. Donna.

(50:47):
I'm looking forward to meeting you too, Donna. I will see you tomorrow.
Demian said he likes to go in blind too. And that's usually what Ray does.
Yeah. That's one of the things I do. I try to do that way.
I can verify any evidence with, Anybody that I'm investigating with and being

(51:08):
newly signed with, it helps me to verify and build up confidence in what I'm doing.
Sam is pretty paranormal, says hi. Hello. Hey, Sam. Andrew said,
Wade is a tremendous wealth of knowledge.
I can tell. And I have questions, Mr. Wade.
Wade says, put it this way. The man upstairs in the bowler hat hates me.

(51:35):
I will never go upstairs again, but I still respect the house.
I wish I knew how to put a picture up. I have painted the Hinsdale house.
Wow. Send me the picture, Wade, please.
Wade said, you will have good examples of activity tomorrow night. Trust me. Okay.
We can't wait. I am. I'm excited.

(51:56):
Like I said, the last time I was there, it was kind of, I don't want to say
it was weak sauce, but I can't say that it was one of the most active places
I was. or I've ever been to.
But I also think that houses do go through their little dolls.
You have to go back to a house more than once. I will absolutely stand by that.
I'm hoping the little bit of thunderstorms we got does a good job of maybe charging it up.

(52:22):
That's a theory. It is a theory. Hopefully it does.
We're going to make sure you bring your boots because we might be walking around in the woods.
Already packed in the trunk. Good idea.
I'll have my shit kickers. So I'll be all set.
But yeah, so Hinsdale House, this is part one next week.

(52:48):
Seven o'clock. Everyone can join us again. Just where you're watching us now
for Hinsdale part two, where we will sit here and we will talk about everything
that happened at our investigation tomorrow night.
And hopefully we capture some great evidence that we can present to you guys.
That would be really cool. And check us out on our live tomorrow.

(53:11):
I don't know what time. I don't know. Do you want to, you want to agree on a
time or you want to just kind of wing it?
We could post about it once we figure it out so make
sure i finish my six hour drive over
there first and then we'll figure it out maybe we'll go live two times
maybe once on tiktok once on facebook maybe yeah wait to go into an open mind

(53:32):
that weather will put the house on edge you'll get a story to tell upstairs
okay it's good to know dami said it's 1 a.m there now i forgot that in Scotland,
it's going to be time change. It's 8 o'clock here.
Listen, would you be mad at me if I threw you overboard into the lake?

(53:56):
On a scale from 1 to 10, how mad would you be? As long as it's not nighttime,
I guess. I wouldn't be too mad.
As long as it's not nighttime, right? Yeah, don't throw me overboard at nighttime.
I at least like to see concrete shoes.
Listen, we like race sometimes, so we won't put the concrete shoes on yet.

(54:20):
But just know, Ray, I am not past doing it, okay?
That is a far drop in that lake. How deep is it again?
I heard it was like over 700 feet deep.
No, thank you. Didn't they drain it at one point?
I think. Once we, you know, do the Loch Ness Monster episode.

(54:42):
I think they tried to drain it, but it didn't drain completely.
Loch Ness is bottomless? Oh, man. I did see that there was some secret tunnels
possibly underneath the bear. So that's another theory.
But we'll talk about that when we do talk about good old Nessie. When we're in Scotland.
Absolutely. Listen, if you guys know any, like...

(55:05):
Yeah, Eric. Eric, so everybody that I investigate with, they do all the history.
Even Amber reads all the history.
And I go in completely blind.
Yeah. I didn't used to do that. But after I found out that I was a little sensitive
and that I'm working on trying to open myself up more, I do like to go in with no history at all.

(55:33):
That's terrifying. fine.
Listen, I'm trying to go to a Scottish castle to investigate.
So if y'all know any places, and Damien, if you have any cool places to check out when we come over.
Edinburgh Castle looks really awesome.
Edinburgh. Edinburgh Castle. I think that's how you say it. Looks really awesome.

(55:59):
Yes, Lexi, history is lots of fun.
Um it can get tedious at
times reading many different articles that have
basically the same amount of information but has a couple of new things here
and there yeah but oh okay hold on we gotta get this shout out okay this is

(56:20):
megan and is megan and hansen bisignaro esquire the third,
indubitably in the house thank you thank you for coming here your highness thank
you so much Thank you. Glad you're here.
Megan is a history extraordinaire, historian extraordinaire.
And she is wonderful at what she does. Oh yeah. At your service.

(56:44):
Do you mean Craig, Craig, Craig Miller castle, haunted Scotland,
Ryan O'Neill. He's the man.
Yeah. We'll check him out. Wade. I went in blind, but got visitations in hour before I got there.
There's tenements in the house where the owner told me everything i do wish
i could send you opinion i did the house you can message the page message me

(57:08):
i'm sierra dickerson raymond robinson,
talk you know i would love to see it i would love to see it 100 like i said i grew up,
near hinsdale the hinsdale house you know i grew up around it so like i said i literally
currently live 15 minutes away so it's definitely i definitely want to know

(57:31):
more especially for someone who who learned from mr warren tell me everything.
Like i said just let me know time and place i'll be there uh lexi don't come
out like i am an angel that does no wrong okay we're gonna leave it that way

(57:54):
anything else you say I will delete the comment. Okay. Okay.
But I think that kind of wraps it up. Yeah.
Things still have tomorrow night. It's going to be crazy. Hopefully it's going to be a good time.
Oh, definitely looking forward. So it's going to be my first time there.
I'm pumped. I'm excited.

(58:14):
I'm super excited. I won't push you in the pond. I hope not.
Intentionally. Not intentionally.
Stay tuned, though. We are going to take some, hopefully, I'm able to get some
good video, some drone footage.
It is supposed to rain a little bit tomorrow, so I'm hoping to get some good
drone footage around there.
We're going to release a little video before next week's podcast.

(58:35):
Just trying things out. So, stay tuned. Yes.
Yes. Yes. I will be in the pond with a REM pod.
Yes. Absolutely.
And we're taking drone pictures. That's going to be cool.
Thank you wade thanks wade wait i'm gonna be reaching out to you i got questions,

(58:59):
he might be annoyed with me by the end of our conversation but i have a question.
But thank you everybody for tuning in thank you for hanging out with us and
listening to us ramble on once again everyone's support has been super overwhelming
and loving and we just can't I can't thank everybody enough.
I absolutely will, Wade. So you can give me permission. So it's not,

(59:21):
it's, you know, it's okay.
But yes. Just thanks everybody for tuning in. You know, tell your friends.
We, we've probably not been around for a while. And, you know,
it's all, it's going to be all you guys that started with us are the ones that
